No, it starts on the first day of January of whatever year the database is set in.

Is there a particular reason that the starting date isn't customizable in EWR/TEW/WreSpi? I can't foresee any negative effects from having it be that way. And it would make it easier on any scenario makers (don't have to set the computer clock before making the scenario, for instance).

The year is customizable, as stated above, and more than likely the month will be to. Your PC clock is irrelevant, it has nothing to do with the game.

Sorry, should have been more specific in my questioning. I wasn't complaining about it (the dates don't matter all that much to me), I was just wondering if there was a particular reasoning behind not (originally) allowing them to be fully customizable?

I can't comment on EWR as that was years ago and I can't remember it.

TEW didn't have them because it was never meant to handle historical data, so customizable dates were never in the design.

WreSpi was designed from the very beginning to handle historical \ future data, and that's why the starting date is fully customizable.

Whoo!! Does that mean we'll have every title change ever in the game? Starting from way way waaaay back when Sam Strong was just a baby? Afterall, some of the promotions are pretty old.....

Ooooh, and does that mean we'll be seeing some guys we haven't seen before that have held the belts before too? Afterall, I'm sure that not everyone that has held the belts was in the previous database.

No, what gave you the impression that you would???

That and a bit of wishful thinking. Aw...... no big histories. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get over it somehow. :)

Oh right - "historical data" means that you could set your database to be in the 1920's if you wanted to, and the game wouldn't have any problems handling it, it doesn't mean that their are "historical" records for the game. This is as oppose to TEW, where you would have had to set your system clock back 90 years to achieve the effect, and then had a bunch of problems.
