College Baseball?

Is there any plans on creating a college baseball game? I have done some coding on my own for one, but why re0invent the wheel

I'm surprised that nobody has taken that one on either - I messed around with OOTP for a while to try and get a set up that would be somewhat like college baseball, but it just didn't really work.

I'm not really aware of any type of college baseball game out there (aside from EA's upcoming game - which I'm not holding out much hope for).

It's a niche audience that would be into it, but I am surprised that there isn't really anything out there.

college baseball is pretty lame in my opinion. most of the top players from high school either went pro or are at JuCo's trying to go pro. also, aluminum bats are ****ing retarded. get jammed on fastball and pull it 330 for a homer! yay!

To each their own - a lot of folks (especially in the south) really enjoy college baseball. I agree with you that the bats are not ideal, but by NCAA madate the bat companies had to start toning them down a few years ago. The now perform more like wood, although the "ping" of aluminum doesn't quite match the "crack" of a wood bat.

Most of the top HS players do sign contracts and go straight to the minors, but there are some very talented players at the college level.

It's a niche sport to be sure, but there are a lot of fans floating around. My guess is most of us went to school at a place where college baseball is a big sport.

I wouldn't mind seeing a college baseball sim. It would be something new.

I think Andy Dolphin made a college baseball sim. His games were fun back in 1952 or whatever.

Yeah I am pretty interested. People in the south and the far west (where I am) are really interested. If the game is made, hopefully CSUF would dominate the game. Go TITANS!!!!

not a SIM in the sense we are talking about - but EA is releasing a college baseball game in a couple weeks although it looks like at this point it will only be a console game:

I personally have never been able to get into college baseball, but would probably try a demo and will almost certainly try the EA one, though I doubt I will buy it

I have done some coding on a sim, but its long way from what we have seen here on these wo sims. Maybe someone here at greydog be interestin takin what i got and run with it..lol
