View Full Version : West SIDE!: The story of PWG's and ROH's East vs. West War!

(This is based on my love for indy wrestling. I love the ROH Product but cannot stand its grasp on indy wrestling. It seems like a lot of wrestling sites and magazines only cover it and it saddens me. I chose PWG because I think its the overall better product. It has humour, pure wrestling and some decent storylines. Plus Joey Ryans cop look!)
Ring of Honor! Ring of Honor! Ring of Honor! Thats all that can be heard by a lot of wrestling fans worldwide. It has clouded the indys with its monopoly and its ROHbot fans.
Me and Super Dragon sat in the office the other day shooting the bull.
SD: Remember the old days whenever it was Biggie vs. Tupac East vs. West and Rap exploded? Well thats how wrestling should be right now. We are in a down period and we need something big to help get us going again. TNA and WWE are fighting a war that no one is going to win and the indys are suffering. All the indy fans are turning to ROH to be its savoir but lets face it ROH is a East Coast promotion. How many indy fans are going to pay for plane tickets from California to get to an ROH show? Only retarded ones who dont realize that PWG is right next to them.
Me: What do you vote we do?
Super: I vote we start a war!
(I quit my Totally Texas Wrestling one because it started to get repetitive)
Roster:
Champions:
Press Announcements:
PWG's next event All Nude Revue Febuary 13th 2006 Main Event has been announced! It will be PWG Heavyweight Champ Joey Ryan against ROH Champion Bryan Danielson! This is not a Title Unification match and the PWG Title will be solely defended here!
PWG has also announced an interest in moving out of the California district to promote in surrounding states such as Oregon, Washington, Utah and Nevada!
PWG Tag Team Champions Davey Richards and Super Dragon have signed an open contract to defend the PWG Tag Team Titles against any two ROH performers as a rub in the face to ROH. Many PWG workers also work ROH so be prepared for a team for Richards and Dragon to face off against!
All Nude Revue Prevue:
Bryan Danielson vs. Joey Ryan for the PWG Heavywieght Title!
Richards and Dragon vs. ROH Team for the PWG Tag Team Titles!
Joey Ryan cuts a promo about ROH!
Much More!
Happenings around the indys:
Many promotions have sided in the East vs. West war. Combat Zone Wrestling, IWA:MS and CHIKARA have sided with PWG. Internet Wrestling Syndicate, Full Impact Pro and NWA: Anarchy have all sided with ROH. Internationally AAA and AJPW have sided with PWG. CMLL and a bunch of Japanese indys (Dragons Gate, BJPW and Z1) have sided with ROH. It should be interesting to see who else sides with who.

I was liking Totally Texas Wrestling...
And as far as your ROHbots comments go, well, I resemble that remark ;-)
PWG has always intrigued me...I dont know much about them, so I bought a dvd...and the product is unique...a bit to lucha for me...but some of the comedy (Human Tornado in particular) is awesome stuff...I've heard of Arrogance, have been impressed what i saw of Scorpio Sky and some other ROHbots tell me Davey Richards is the next Austin Aries
So this concept should be interesting
Chuck

Yea I saw the thread on the ROH Board about Richards being the next Aries actually lol. I post on there as Chuck_Nimbus...
Anyway let me get to typing my first show results!

Joey Ryan cuts his interview on ROH.
Ryan: I am sick and tired of ROH being hyped up as the next big thing in wrestling. ROH this ROH that! What about all the independent guys like myself who sacrifice there bodies in front of maybe 1,000 loyal fans each night for less than $500? What about the guys who have to support there families and attempt to get a job with ROH but end up not being able to because the ROH little forum marks think they are "too mainstream" or to "spotty". New flash this is wrestling and everyone does thing differently. ROH is what ever indy fed does not need to be. It is attempting to put a monopoly on the indys. Well I promise you that me and the rest of the PWG regulars will put a stop to ROH! We will be uniting with the rest of the indys who are smart enough to support us by taking down the ROH Empire!
*Much of the fans in the audience start chanting PWG but a few are chanting ROH!*

Bryan Danielson cuts an interview:
Bryan: Whoa Joey I saw your interview from earlier and you and a bunch of the PWG guys need to calm the **** down. It seems like you guys are trying to be anti-ROH. Well thats good and you guys could do it but look at whos supporting you guys. Combat Zone Wrestling is a garbage fed who has no homegrown talent and just a bunch of yours, ROHs and other indy fed guys. CHIKARA is like watching a kids show and IWAMS is just an indy fed ran by some Hardcore retard who was not smart enough to try and get a WWE contract and half his guys including myself no-show. You think you can take down ROH well ROH wont even have to try to take you down.

I've always been a fan of SoCal, especially Rising Son. I remember signing the petition to save RevPro then watching his match with Scorpio Sky.
Plus Jimmy Jacobs on the card is a plus, if nobody has picked up that I mark for him yet, shame on all of you!

He did not really care lol..
You must forgive I am a huge Hart mark. I think he has unlimited potential and if he straightens up his attitude he could easily carry any company.
Topgun is also another talented wrestler who I think could get over easily with his gimmick. I am a very big fan of shock booking so Topgun beating Daniels along with Hart over Joe is just huge.
Hopefully my next show there is not so many no-shows!

Based on everyone griping about my current diary look I will now be using a different format when booking shows.
For the sake of me being cheap and not making graphics I will also be putting up the DVD Covers to show what each event is.
Wrestling Legends Ricky Steamboat and Stan Hensen are said to be very pleased by PWG's Product and both have said they would like to be at the next PWG Show to help out backstage. Super Dragon and the Co-Owner of PWG have both agreed that they need help in there road agent department as usually the wrestler with the most experience on the card (Usually Chris Daniels) is assigned to do it.

Many within PWG are starting to believe that PWG is slowly starting to get it together and get it going. PWG is expected to announce more and more events soon and hopefully the fans will be excited about this announcement. PWG is thinking of running a small weekly show almost television format by doing it in a one hour period to help them get some revenue going.
