The Backstory
The Story So Far...
In 2005 Paul Heyman was placed in charge of OVW basically just to prepare the boys and get them ready for the WWE Vince was pretty silly not using Paul I mean he was the man that took ECW from nothing and turned them into one of the most popular promotions in pro wrestling history he changed the wrestling world in the nineties. In late January 2006 Heyman met with Vince and explained he wanted to be part of Raws or Smackdown’s creative team Vince declined this and he and Paul had a few words Vince told Paul to take the rest of November and December off so that Vince could decide what to do with Paul. Heyman’s contract was beginning to expire Vince decided that this was doing both Heyman and WWE no good so he decided to got in touch with Paul Heyman and
offered him a fresh start with a contract renewal in short Heyman told Vince to Stick his job and his contract renewal up his a$$.
The word spread like wildfire through the wrestling community. Paul E. was back.
Paul E. Heyman in just a week with help from the also departed Tommy Dreamer, Heyman invested in his second promotion with WWE owning the ECW copyrights which Vince and WWE wouldn’t let go. Heyman began The Underground Wrestling Alliance an ECW type hybrid/hardcore promotion.
There were many willing to back him, and they did. Viking Hall was once again Heyman’s Arena, and would once again echo with the sounds of slams, screams of agony, and the thrill of victory.
Finally, the date was set. Heyman's return to the wrestling world would be on February 15th 2006 ‘An Underground Revolution!’ a two hour show harkened the return of the wrestling genius Paul E. Heyman.
Welcome to the Underground Revolution!
I'll post the roster later and hopefull have the debut show up soon enough
