“I want to give it another shot”. It was New Years Day 2008 and Charles Zulas told his friends and family as they sat around the table. Looking around he noticed the look of disbelief that he had become all too familiar with in running Total Wrestling Action.
“Charles, we know you love pro wrestling, but be honest with yourself for a moment. Do you want to go through the trouble of running another company?” his brother asked him. “I mean everyone bailed on you, do you think they want to take a chance with you again?”
Charles looked at the faces of the people around him,
“Absolutely.”
The table was quiet for what seemed like forever to Charles until his mother spoke.“Ok Charles, you know we do not like this, but here are the remaining funds from the original investment.” A check for two hundred thousand dollars was passed to Charles.
“Thank You”
With the check in hand Charles Zulas, left the house to begin his journey to make All Star Wrestling succeed where Total Wrestling Action did not. Charles first stop on his new journey was to see if John would still be interested in working with him in the new company. Charles Pulled up to the old headquarters of Total Wrestling Action; Being there brought back memories of the old company that died due to very poor mismanagement. Memories of signing Frankie Perez and the great matches he had with Sgt. Buddy Lee West, the creation of the “nonstop title” and its very “brief” run. Charles looked into the rear view mirror and took a deep breath before he stepped out of his car. As Charles walked towards the front door, he saw John look up from his stack of papers on his desk. Had he been spotted? Charles walked in as John’s head turned towards him with a smile.
“Hello Charles, long time no see. What have you been up to since T.W.A. went out of business?”
“I’ve been laying low, working on various side projects here and there”. Charles turned serious for a moment. “Listen John can we sit down?”
“Yeah, sure”.
“Listen. John the real reason I came here today was to say that I miss the business”.
John shook his head in disbelief as he knew where this is going
“I was able to talk my family into giving me back the remaining funds they took out, effectively closing the company. I know you don’t believe I can do it, but I wanted to come and see if you would help me run this new company?... Like old times”.
John pulled back a bit
“Charles, I just can’t, I have too much going on right now to help you this time. I’m sorry”.
Charles was looking for a different answer, but understood John’s reasoning
“Ok, John, I hope everything works out for you.”
With that, Charles walked out of John’s office. I guess I have to do this on my own, Charles thought as he got into his car and drove off down the road. Charles stopped in at a local hotel and booked himself a room for the night, so he could have a place to think about how to start All Star Wrestling.
After he grabbed a shower, Charles sat down on the floor and spread out the notes he had about Total Wrestling Action. Charles looked at them and noticed phrases like, “Losing money every month” “Spent too much on wrestlers” “Needs better long term stories”. ”Wrestlers not happy”. Boy I really did suck, Charles thought to himself as he continued to read the notes. Charles decided to make a list of things he needed to do. Call Ohio Jewish Center, find a roster, decide day for shows, decide titles, make storylines. Charles looked at the clock on the table which read 2:37am. “I think I need to get some sleep”. Charles climbed into bed as his notes remained on the floor.
January 2, 2008
At 9:00am, the alarm sounded in the hotel room. Charles slowly climbed out of bed and took a shower. After his shower, Charles picked up his cell phone and found that someone had left a message for him. Charles played the message, only to find out that it was a message from his brother saying for Charles to call him when he receive the message.
“What could they want now?”, Charles thought too himself as he dialed his brother, pacing around the room.
After a few rings, Charles’s brother picks up the phone.
“Yes”
“You asked me to call you?”
“Yes, Charles. I wanted to call you to tell you this before, mom and dad had a chance to tell you”.
“What?” Charles was worried now.
“After you left, yesterday, they continued to talk and they decided that because you failed at Total Wrestling Action, that you needed someone to bounce ideas off of”.
Charles was really confused now. “What do you mean, someone to bounce ideas off of?”
Their was silence on the other end, before his brother spoke, “They want to have someone watching, you”.
“A boss you mean”.
“Yes, Charles”.
“Hey, I am the one who ran, T.W.A.” Charles fired back
“And it closed, Charles”
Knowing that his brother was right, Charles sat down on the bed, “So, who do they have in mind to run All-Star Wrestling”.
“Is that what you are calling it?”
By this point in the conversation, Charles was not in the mood for games. “Yes, that is the name of the company. So who do they have in mind to run the company?”
“They talked to some friends they have in the business and entertainment world, and I guess Fumihiro Ota was recommended for the job. I guess he will be there tomorrow and they want you to meet him”.
“Meet him where?”
“You know that abandoned warehouse on 3rd. and Douglas? I guess that is your new office for All-Star Wrestling”.
Charles rubbed his forehead as he spoke. “So is that all you wanted?”
“Yes, Charles” his brother responded from the other end.
“I have work to do so, I will talk with you later”. Charles hung up the phone and looked at his notes scattered on the floor of the hotel room. Charles slowly picked up the notes off the floor and put them away before leaving for his new office. Charles got into his car and drove to his new office. Even though this was a “new” office for All Star Wrestling, the location of the office was not in the best area of town. Charles passed houses that had been boarded up for months, buildings that obviously had nobody in them for years. Charles turned onto Douglas from third street, where in the distance he could see a large building on the far corner of the street. Charles slowly drove by the building and noticed boards on windows, and what seemed to be a front door rusting off its hinges. Charles pulled into an empty parking lot and turned off his car. “This is it I guess”. Charles got out of his car and slowly walked towards the building as a police car sped past the building with its sirens blaring. Charles opened the door to the building and stepped into his new office. “This is going to take a lot of work",Charles thought to himself as he walked through the one large room, which was now his “Office” and stared out of a dirty window looking directly at another abandoned building across the street. After taking some time to walk the building, Charles left the building and went to his apartment. Once home, Charles dropped his bags in the doorway and laid on the couch drifting off to sleep.

January 3, 2008
Charles woke up, and took a shower. After grabbing a cup of coffee for the road he headed off to the “office” for his new adventure. As Charles pulled into the parking lot, he noticed that Mr. Ota was in his car looking over paper work. Charles calmly got out of his car and went inside. Moments later Mr. Ota came into the building still reading his files. Mr. Ota looked up and noticed Charles standing in the room.
“You must be, Mr. Zulas?” Ota extended a hand.
“I am”
“Do you want to go get breakfast and discuss things about the company, while I have my movers set up the place”.
“Movers sir”. Charles questioned.
“Yes, I bought us a few things that would help us work here, you didn’t think I would have you standing all day did you?” Ota responded.
“No sir”
Charles and Mr. Ota left the office and went out to breakfast. Once at the restaurant, Charles ordered coffee, and a ham and cheese omelet while Ota ordered a tea and a grapefruit. Mr. Ota began the conversation. “I understand you where in control of Total Wrestling Action, but from what I have read up about that company. You burned through the funds losing money every month. With that in mind the only goal I have right now is just making a profit by this time next year”.
“I understand, sir” was the only response given by Charles as he ate.
“Charles why don’t you tell me a little about the goals you hoped to achieve with Total Wrestling Action”.
Charles stopped eating and thought for a moment. “As a child, I enjoyed wrestling. Even so I started to lose touch with it in my later years. When I started watching it again, I was turned off by the childish jokes that I use to enjoy and I was growing tired of seeing the same guys wrestle that I saw when I was a young child. I created Total Wrestling Action to give young wrestlers a chance in the business, something I noticed the major companies in the United States failed to do”.
“So what happened, to this dream Charles?”
“I just outspent what I was making”.
“And this is where, I come in, Charles. As your boss, in All-Star Wrestling it is my job to make sure that does not happen again. Now in being your boss, I talked with your family when they asked around. I told them I would work on a written contract and that I had creative control over my character. I told them that at the end of the contract if they wish to have me leave I would do just that. Other then these little things, I will let you handle the creative side of things”.
“That is fine, with me” Charles told Ota.
Ota pulled another file out of his bag. “It states here that, you ran weekly events out of the Ohio Jewish center on Wednesday and had monthly event shows the last Friday of the month”.
“That is correct sir”.
“I took the liberty of calling up the Ohio Jewish Center and told them the situation. Then I asked if they would be willing to have us come back and put shows on for them again on Fridays”.
“That would be gre…Fridays sir?”
“I like the idea of the weekly shows, Charles. I even like the month event idea The problem I see though is in that last week you have your performers come in for Wednesday’s show only to turn around and wrestle again two days later. I propose that in that last week we have both shows on Friday, giving the fans a longer super show feel of sorts and it helps cut down our travel budget.
“Ok sir”.
“With that figured out, I want to discuss on camera roles”.
Charles was a little surprised by that idea.
“I honestly had no thought of being an on camera personality, Mr. Ota.”
“One of the problems with the way you ran Total Wrestling Action” was the exploding pay for wrestlers. You said you spent too much yourself”. Ota responded “Looking at your background, I noticed you have a degree in psychology. I believe that would make you a good announcer to have in the short term”.
“I still don’t know if I can do that”. Charles answered back
“Yes, you can, Charles. Now, for this company to be as successful as it can be it needs noticeable faces in the ring; this is why I want to get into the ring”.
“I honestly don’t think that is a bad move at all. Charles agreed.
“Great, lets call it a day, I am going to make some phone calls and see about getting some wrestlers in to All-Star Wrestling” Mr. Ota picked up the bill and both men left the restaurant leaving in separate directions. Upon leaving the restaurant, Charles made it back to his apartment and put in an old D.V.D. of Total Wrestling Action before going to bed.
January 4, 2008
Charles woke up the next day and after taking a shower and grabbing his coffee he was off to work he went. Upon getting to work, Charles opened the door to the warehouse and noticed some immediate changes.
“Like it?’ Ota asked walking up behind Charles.
“Not bad” Charles replied as he walked around the room, now furnished with a couple of desks, each with a computer, a couch and a small coffee table just as you walk in and a longer table with chairs and a portable dry erase board, just further in. Charles stopped as he came to the long table as he noticed caution tape and marks on the floor to the left of him. They seemed to be marking off a large area in the back of the warehouse.
“Ota what is going on here?” Charles asked motioning to the tape.
"With having this room, I want to be able to use it. I am having the construction crew put in a wrestling ring for us, so when we get people in here we want to try out we can do that”.
“Speaking of people Mr. Ota, do you have any ideas on who we should start to bring in?”.
“I made a couple of calls and left messages with their people asking both Rob Perkins and Robbie Sanchez in to be referees and I asked Ted Ross’s group to see if we can get a meeting with him to be the color guy on the shows”.
“Any thoughts as to who we should bring in as wrestlers? Because I was thinking that you should be a heel for the company”. Charles asked Ota.
“The only thing I care about is that they are cheap to use”. Ota replied.
“Ok. Then”.
“One thing, Charles get them fast as I don’t want to be sitting around without a show to put on”.
“Great. Listen since your building that ring area, why don’t we just do a mass posting to wrestling sites and see who replies, Mr. Ota”.
“Make it work, Charles”. Charles went to his desk and made the announcement.
TO: Wrestlers wanting to join the hottest new wrestling company

Charles Zulas
Charles finished the notice and powered down his computer.
“Mr. Ota, the announcement is done so I am going to take off for the night”. Charles, left the office and went home for the night.

January 5, 2008
Charles made it to the office and immediately went to work. Charles checked his inbox and did not see any replies to the announcement made the day before. After the e-mails were checked, Charles checked the wrestling websites. One of the first things Charles noticed was the name of the new booker for Coastal Zone Combat Wrestling.
“Mr. Ota did you see that Farrah Hesketh has taken over your old position as booker in Coast Zone Combat Wrestling?”
“Yes, I have, Charles. I think it’s more important that Shane Sneer took over New York City Wrestling”. Charles continued to look at his computer.
“It looks like North of the Border Pro Wrestling, and Men of Steel Combat opened their wallets and went on a shopping spree”.
Mr. Ota walked over to Charles. “Before we have tomorrow’s tryouts, I want to discuss some finances with you”.
Charles looked up from his computer,
“Sure boss”
Mr. Ota walked to the coffee table and motioned for Charles to follow. Charles turned off his computer and went to the table. They both set down before Mr. Ota started to speak.
“Now Charles, as we both have brought up about Total Wrestling Actions failings had a lot to do with the main costs. At tomorrow’s tryout if we sign anyone, I get final say on if they are in” Charles nodded his head as if to say he understood. “Along with the cost of the wrestlers we have to factor in costs like marketing for the company, the legal costs of running the company and the production costs, much the same you had with Total Wrestling Action”.
“In T.W.A. I let, my business partner, John handle this area, so I really don’t know much about it”. Charles replied.
“The Production department handles the music we use for shows, the more well known the music the higher the cost. They also handle the so called “quality standard” to which our DVDs are released. Picture quality, extras things like that. Our Merchandise Department deals with the other merchandise that is sold for our wrestlers, other then DVDs. T-shirts, action figures and posters are their main items. They basically decide at what pace and at what “quality standard” to produce them at. Finally we have what I call unclassified or other which includes things like the legal department, our marketing department and our administrative department which handles payroll, copyrights and travel mostly”.
“Thank you, Mr. Ota for informing me about these issues that I never really dealt with. Well I am going to take the rest of the day off and get ready for the tryout”.
“Ok, I will see you tomorrow, Charles.”

January 6, 2008
Charles pulled into the parking lot and noticed a group of wrestlers standing outside of the warehouse. Charles got out of his car, and unlocked the door allowing the wrestlers in. Once Charles made it inside he went to talk with Mr. Ota.
“It looks like we got a good number for the tryout”.
“I hope this works out”. Ota replied.
The wrestlers were talking amongst each other, when Ota and Charles walked up to them.
“Hello group, thanks for coming to All Star Wrestling tryouts. Please fill out these cards.
Charles handed out the cards for the wrestlers to fill out. Once the cards were filled out and handed back, Charles started the tryouts.
“Will Too Hot and TJ Bailey, enter the ring”.
Too Hot and TJ Bailey entered the ring and proceeded to perform. After five minutes, Mr. Ota stoped Too Hot and TJ Bailey.
“Please wait out here while we go through the rest of the tryouts”. Too Hot and TJ Bailey exit the ring. As Mr. Ota sends the next two wrestlers into the ring.
“Will Brendan Idol and Valiant, enter the ring”. Brendan Idol and Valiant entered the ring and performed for five minutes.
“You know, Mr. Ota. I think Too Hot and TJ Bailey could make a good tag team. Ok Idol and Valiant, please wait over here. Idol and Valiant exited the ring. ”Ok, Ota who should we send in next?”
“Tim Westbrook, Raphael and Des Davids”, Ota answered.
“Ok Tim Westbrook, Raphael, and Des Davids your next. I want to see how you work a three way match. Oh and Robbie Sanchez, I want you to ref it for us. Westbrook, Raphael and Des Davids entered the ring and performed for their five minutes as Westbrook and Davids threw Raphael around the ring. After their five minutes they left the ring and waited with the others. Charles looked at his files and sent the next performers in the ring. “This will be the last one. Will Matt Sparrow, Mainstream Hernandez, Lion Heart, and Jack Geiedroyc entered the ring. I want Sparrow and Hernandez to tag as they face Heart and Geiedroyc”. The four entered the ring and performed for five minutes in a tag match.
“Not bad”. Charles remarked as he looked on, next! The four exited the ring and waited with the rest of the wrestlers. As they performed in their match Ota and Charles talked outside the ring”.
“Mr. Ota I think I can work everyone into places in the company”
.
“Really, Charles. That is great. Lets just hope everyone signs for what we want”. Charles and Ota looked at the ring, as Charles called them out of the ring.. Charles and Mr. Ota waited until everyone was gathered posted against the wall. Once everyone was together, Charles made the announcement.
“Thank you everyone for coming to the tryouts. I have some good news for everyone. Mr. Ota and I have decided that everyone will be given a contract as long as it fits within our budget”. A few cheers rose from the workers.
Once the cheers died down, Mr. Ota continued. “Ok everyone, we will meet with you individually in the order you were in the ring” Wrestlers waited against the wall as Charles called the first name.
“Too Hot, please come with us.”
Too Hot followed Charles and Mr. Ota to the front of the warehouse, as they sat around the coffee table. Charles started the conversation.
“Now Too Hot, we decided to offer you a contract, because in that five minutes you showed a great ability to sell TJ Bailey. I like your outfit as well and we both think you would work well in a tag team with TJ Bailey”. Now I believe you work well as a face to start out with, because of your high energy style you should have no trouble connecting with the fans.
“Ok now Too Hot we would like to offer you a nine month contract at $525 per show. Granted we do not know when that first show will be but we would like you to be a part of the company, Mr. Ota continued. Too Hot sat back as he thought about the offer.
“I will take your offer”, Too Hot replied. Charles and Mr. Ota smiled as Charles slid over the contract.
“Sign here please”. Too Hot signed the contract and shook, Charles and Mr. Ota’s hands.
“We will keep in touch. Can you please send over, TJ Bailey”.
“Can do and thank you again”. Too Hot got up and brought TJ Bailey over before walking out the door.
“Hello again, TJ” Charles opened. “We decided to give you a contract opportunity because in that five minutes in the ring, you showed your ability keep going even when you had to change gears, working with someone new. I personally believe you would make a good baby face for the company, maybe even tag with Too Hot”.
“Excuse me, Mr. Zulas, we were at Fools Gold, and I thought everything was going well. I called up Mr. Kendall the following Tuesday and he told me, that my services were no longer needed”.
Charles leaned back and took a deep breath before he spoke. “When we returned to the office, after Fools Gold I received a notice that my family had pulled the investment into Total Wrestling Action back. I did not have the funds personally to keep the company open, so without their support I was forced to close the company”.
TJ was still unconvinced about the reasons he was given. “So with no money how did you restart the company?”
“After a time away from the business, I was able to talk my family into giving me the remaining funds they had left. They also positioned for me not to be in charge”. TJ was confused now, by the explanation from Charles.
“As part of the agreement, so I was told later was that since this is their money being put into this company they have a say in it. As part of that say they put Mr. Ota here in as my boss”. Mr. Ota was ready to continue on with the contract.
“Ok now Mr. Bailey we would like to offer you a nine month contract at $125 per show. Granted we do not know when that first show will be but we would like you to be a part of the company, Mr. Ota continued. TJ Bailey’s eyes immediately got bigger at the offer.
“All I ever wanted to do was wrestle and I thought that dream died when Total Championship Wrestling fired me. Thank you very much”. Charles slid over the contract.
“Sign here please”. TJ Bailey signed the contract and shook, Charles and Mr. Ota’s hands.
“We will keep in touch. Can you please send over, Brendan Idol”. TJ Bailey stood up from his chair and walked to where the others stood, moments later Brendan Idol was in front of Ota and Charles.
“Please sit down, Mr. Ota began. We have decided to offer you a contract with us because we think you have a natural ability that works well in the world of pro wrestling”. “Ok now Mr. Idol we would like to offer you a nine month contract at $125 per show. Granted we do not know when that first show will be but we would like you to be a part of the company, Mr. Ota continued.
“I accept your offer, Mr. Ota” Idol responded after a moment of thought. Charles slid over the contract.
“Sign here please”. Mr. Idol signed the contract and shook, Charles and Mr. Ota’s hands.
“We will keep in touch. Can you please send over, Valiant”. Idol got up from his chair and walked over to get Valiant. Moments later Valiant came from the back.
"Valiant, Charles began. We looked at you in the ring and I saw the word, star. Your ability in the ring to take bumps matched with your natural looks and charisma,. I can see you going places in the company. That is why we are offering you a contract, today. Plus as a member of Combat Zone Championship Wrestling, I know you have had good training".
"Ok now Valiant we would like to offer you a nine month contract at $550 per show. Granted we do not know when that first show will be but we would like you to be a part of the company". Mr. Ota continued.
Valiant thought for a moment, before speaking.
“As a man who has worked with you Mr. Ota in the past, I know there is nothing that this guy can not do”. I accept your offer.
“Great and welcome aboard”. Mr. Ota told Valiant.
“Just sign here please”. Valiant signed the contract and shook, Charles and Mr. Ota’s hands.
“We will keep in touch. Can you please send over, Tim Westbrook”. Valiant got up from his chair and walked over to get Westbrook. Moments later Westbrook came from the back.
“Hello, Mr. Westbrook. Charles began. We want to sign you because we need somebody who can help be a teacher to the younger talent. We believe that to be you”.
“Why thank you. I am touched that you see that”. Westbrook responded.
“Ok now Mr. Westbrook we would like to offer you a nine month contract at $525 per show. Granted we do not know when that first show will be but we would like you to be a part of the company” Mr. Ota continued. Tim Westbrook thought of the offer for a moment.
“I accept”.
“Just sign here please”. Westbrook signed the contract and shook, Charles and Mr. Ota’s hands.
“We will keep in touch. Can you please send over, Raphael”. Westbrook got up from his chair and sent over Raphael. Moments later Raphael came from the back.
“Hello Raphael, Mr. Ota began. We want to sign you to an All Star Wrestling contract because I believe you have a good grasp of the basics and a well verse in the technical school of wrestling. You would offer something different to the audience then a lot of the people in the back”. Ok now Raphael we would like to offer you a nine month contract at $150 per show. Granted we do not know when that first show will be but we would like you to be a part of the company.” Mr. Ota continued. Raphael thought about the offer for a moment.
“I am happy to join All Star Wrestling”.
“Great and welcome aboard”. Mr. Ota told Raphael.
“Just sign here please”. Raphael signed the contract and shook, Charles and Mr. Ota’s hands.
“We will keep in touch".
As Raphael left, Mr. Ota looked at his watch. It was already eleven o clock.
“I hate to do this but I think we should call it a night”. Mr. Ota mentioned to Charles.
“I agree”.
Mr. Ota and Charles got up from the table and walked to the area where the wrestlers were standing.
“We hate to do this to you all, but we are going to call it a night” Charles explained, as a few groans could be heard. Mr. Ota opened his cell phone and immediately called one of the local hotels in the area and explained the situation to the manager. Mr. Ota ended the call with a smile.
“Listen guys, I just got off the phone with a hotel manager in the area. I told him of what was happening and he agreed to give a discount on the rooms”.
“Just hang in their with us and by the time this is over all of you will have contracts”, Charles reminded the group.
The wrestlers began filing out of the building, and piling into cars. Soon their was a short caravan to the hotel. As the group pulled into the parking lot, the manager met the group out front. As Charles got out of his car the manager started to speak.
“Everything is ready for your group, and here are your keys to the rooms. I will run the card Mr. Ota gave me tomorrow”.
Charles and Mr. Ota gathered the group around once they got inside. “Everyone get some sleep, I just wanted to say that it was a good day today and we will all make it through this together”. Charles reminded the group. With that Charles handed out the keys and he and Mr. Ota went to their room. Upon entering the room, Charles sat down on the bed and fell right to sleep.

January 7, 2008
Charles woke up the next morning and took a shower. After his shower he went down to the front desk and received the ok from management to use a conference room to get the contracts signed. After Charles received the ok, he went back to the room and told Mr. Ota of the hotel giving the group a place to work out the contracts. As Charles gathered the files needed to finish up the contracts, Mr. Ota gathered the wrestlers and told them what was going to happen. With the rest of the tryouts on board with the plan, Mr. Ota lead them to the conference room.
“Will the rest of you wait in the other room”. Mr. Ota told the group. “Lion Heart please sit down”.
Lion Heart took a seat at the table, where Charles began the conversation.
“Lion Heart, thanks for waiting the extra day to discuss your contract. Now yesterday we witnessed you in the ring, and I thought you were ok. Being young I think you have the time to learn in the ring, if that is what you want”.
“It has been a dream of mine to be a wrestler”. Lion Heart responded.
“In bringing you in, you must realize that we are a small company and that some of the people we signed yesterday can work circles around you. All that means is that you have to work even harder to keep your spot in the company”, Charles continued.
“I will sir”. Lion Heart told Charles and Mr. Ota.’
“If this is true, now we come to the matter of your contract. Mr. Ota reminded the two. Being young and unknown, I am willing to start you out at $125 per show”.
“I accept”. Lion Heart cheerfully agreed, without a moments thought.
“Great, Lion Heart sign here”. Charles asked as he slid over the contract. Lion Heart put his name to the contract as Mr. Ota spoke.
“Now as we told the rest of the people yesterday, we don’t have an exact date for our first show, but we will be in touch”. Lion Heart smiled as he shook Mr. Ota’s hand before leaving. As Lion Heart walked out of the conference room, Charles stood up and went to the other room, where the rest of the tryouts were waiting.
“Mr. Davids, your next”.
Des Davids got up and followed, Charles into the room.
“Now, Mr. Davids, it states in my file that you played football”.
“Yes, I did in college, Mr. Zulas”.
“Why did you stop playing?”
“I was in a game and two opposing players came at me at slammed me into the ground”. I lost feeling in my legs for a while, so the medical staff carted me off. Later on that night I was told that I had a pinched nerve near my spine. The doctors told me that it would get better with time, but I needed to take it easy. I was a decent player by anyone’s standards but I had a long shot to go pro, so I decided to quit”.
Their was silence in the room before Mr. Ota spoke.
“Mr. Davids, some say that professional wrestling is harder on the body then football, are you sure you are up to the task?”
“I have always loved the physical nature of sports and I strongly believe I can make the transition from football to wrestling. Mr. Ota”.
It was Charles turn to speak up. “Well at the tryout, I loved the natural physical tools you showed in the ring, and with your look and the right package, you could go far in this business. Even so, it is because of that back injury, to protect ourselves for the time being can only give you $125 per show. Des Davids sat back and thought for a moment.
“I accept your offer”, Davids told the two. Charles slid over the contract.
“
Please sign here, and we will keep in touch”.
Des David got up from his chair and shook Charles and Ota’s hands before leaving.
“Ok who is next Mr. Ota?” charles asked his boss.
“I noticed Mainstream Hernandez was out there. I want him in this company”. Charles looked at Mr. Ota before speaking, “It will be done then”. Charles stood up from his chair and went to Hernandez.
“Listen Hernandez, I have been told by, Mr. Ota that you are being signed no matter what, so just come over sign the contract and leave”. Hernandez smiled and followed Charles over to the table. Once at the table Hernandez started to speak.
“So Mr. Zulas he has told me that I am getting in, so lets talk…”
Mr. Ota put up his hand as if to cut him off. “Right now all I want to talk about is your contract. I am getting bored so, lets make this quick. We will sign you for $475 per show, nothing more, nothing less”.
Mainstream looked a little shocked, “I guess…” “Just sign it.” Mr. Ota warned. Charles slid the contract over for Mainstream to sign. Once the contract was signed Hernandez slowly stood up from his chair and without saying a word left the room. Once Hernandez was gone Charles spoke up.
“Well that was a bit harsh”.
Mr. Ota looked at Charles, before speaking. “I am just tired of talking about contracts”. Ota responded.
“That referee Robbie Sanchez has been waiting, and I do not want to let him get away. Charles told Ota. Shall I go and get him?”
“Go ahead, Charles”. Charles got up from the table and went to get Mr. Sanchez. Moments later Mr. Sanchez was sitting at the table with Ota and Charles.
“Thank you for coming, Mr. Sanchez. Ota opened with. As the only referee who showed up to yesterday’s tryouts I want to make you our lead referee”.
“I would be honored, Mr. Ota”. Mr. Sanchez noted as he looked at the two gentlemen sitting at the table across from him.
“Now Robbie, can I call you that? Charles interjected. We do not have a set date for a first show, but with the rate we are filling this roster, I believe it will be sooner then later. So as a referee we can offer you $250 per show, are you willing to work for that?”
“I will work for that amount”. Robbie responded.
“Great, just sign here”. Charles asked as he slid over the contract for Robbie to see. Robbie signed the contract and left the room. Charles and Ota sat at the table for a moment before speaking. Mr. Ota broke the silence first.
“How many do we have left, Charles?”
“Only Jack Giedroyc and Matt Sparrow” Charles answered
“Can you get them both?”
“Right away sir.” Charles got up from his chair and moments later returned with Giedroyc and Sparrow. Mr. Ota spoke first, pointing at Giedroyc. “Ok I have seen him wrestle, referring to Matt Sparrow, but I don’t know who you are. How much do you think we should pay you?” Ota asked Giedroyc.
“Well sir, Giedroyc began. I am well known in the UK and I believe I can bring that audience over here. I was making 700 per show in the UK, so I think that is what I should make here”.
Ota looked at Charles before looking at Jack. “Well I don’t, so good bye”.
“Wait sir”. Giedroyc pleaded
“I said good bye”. Giedroyc left as Sparrow looked stunned. “Sparrow come sit down”. Ota ordered. Once Sparrow was at the table Ota began again. “You, I’ve seen you around and I have seen the reaction you get from fans, because of this I want to give you $1000 per show”. Now it was Charles turn to be stunned.
“Sir are you sure about this? What about the claim that I spent too much in T.W.A?” Mr. Ota looked over at Charles.
“Listen, for this company to work, I need someone that the fans know. I need someone the fans care about when he faces me. Fans know this face, so I am going to sign him”. Ota snapped.
“I guess I do not get a say in this”.
“No, you do not, Charles” “Now Mr. Sparrow, please sign here and we will be done”. Matt Sparrow signed the contract and left the room.
“Well I am going to go home, you can stay here for the night if you wish as it’s paid for”. Ota told Charles. Mr. Ota got up from his chair and left the room. After sitting in the room alone for a few minutes, Charles got up and left the room himself, opting to stay at the hotel and relax. Once Charles made it back to his room he, laid down on the bed and fell asleep.

Charles pulled into the parking lot, and got out of his car. As he walked to the front door, his cell phone went off; Charles answered his phone as he entered the office.
“Hello, Charles”, came from the other end.
It was Mike from his T.W.A. days.
“Hello, Mike. To what to I owe this call?”
Mike continued to talk and then asked about All Star Wrestling.
“Yes I have opened up a new company”.
Their was a brief pause on Mike’s end and then he asked Charles if he could come in and help the company.
“That would be great, Mike. I still never a reporter for the shows, and yes we are still doing them out of the Ohio Jewish Center”.
Mike asked about the roster, and random items. “
Listen Mike, I am just starting my day here. We are going to be holding shows starting this Friday, can you be there?” Mike, agreed as both said their good byes and ended the call.
“Who was that?” Mr. Ota asked from his desk.
“That was Mike, an old friend of mine who wrote the show reports for Total Wrestling Action. He also kept a website for us, where fans could ask questions”.
“Interesting” was the only response from Ota.
“I am going to write up the first card and then head home as I have some things to do around the house plus I want to get home in time for the T.C.W. and S.W.F. shows”.
“Fine”. Was the only response from Ota, who kept working. Charles went to his desk and pulled out his notes. “Ok if we do an event at the end of the month”, Charles thought to himself. “That means we have two shows between now and then”. Looking over his notes Charles saw his notes about the tournament he started when getting Total Wrestling Action off the ground. “Not this time”, Charles thought to himself.
“Hey, Ota”. Charles yelled
“What?” Ota responded
“At the first show, I am going to have you proclaim yourself champion. To start the show and then I am going to have you defeat Lion Heart in dominating fashion to prove that you are the champ. Then the following week I am going to have you attack Matt Sparrow leading to you defending your title at the event”.
“Not bad.” Ota told Charles.
Charles went back to work on the rest of the card. “Ok with only two weeks until the event I should just put everyone out there, to get their feet wet, I’ll deal with storylines next month” Charles sat back, thought for a bit and went back to writing “if I am just going to throw people in the ring. I will just use the line ups from the tryout and see how that works with the fans. Charles packed up his things,
“Mr. Ota I am heading out for the night”, Mr. Ota just kept working. Charles pulled into his apartment complex and turned off his car. Once in his apartment Charles, put his bags down and did some work cleaning his apartment. At nine o clock, Charles stopped working and turned on “Supreme TV” where Marc DeBois and Randy Bumfhole were starting off the show. Charles quickly flipped it over to TCW Presence Total Wrestling and watched as they were recapping Randall Hopkirk’s involvement in Madman Boone versus Raul Darkness from last week. Then Jason Azaria announced that because of the involvement Painful Procedure would be putting the titles up against Hardcore Uproar and that the match would be next after the commercial break. Charles decided to watch the tag match, as Painful Procedure were able to retain their titles in an ok opening contest. As that match ended Charles flipped over to Supreme TV where the very end of the North American Title match between Joe Sexy and Zimmy Bumfhole was taking place, with Joe Sexy’s hand being raised as he held the title in the other. Keeping it on Supreme TV, Charles watched as Calamari Kid turned back Pecs to retain his Shooting Star title. Hearing that Jack Bruce would be up next after the comerical Charles kept watching Supreme TV. Jack Bruce was next as he tagged with Skull Debones, to face the Hired Guns. Bruce did well in the match as he and Debones picked up the victory in a good tag match. Charles then decided to flip back to Total Championship Wrestling as Rick Law defended his International title against Demon Anger in the best match Charles had seen all night. With S.W.F. over Charles watched the main event of between Peter Valentine and Ronnie V. Pain. The two fought tooth and nail, but the bell sounded signaling the end of the match before the show ended due to a time limit draw. With both shows over, Charles decided to go to bed.
January 10, 2008
Charles woke up and called Mr. Ota at his home. Ota picked up the phone.
“Yes, Charles I was just about ready to head into the office”. Ota explained to Charles.
“Listen, I have decided to work from home today, so I am not going to be in the office”. Charles informed Ota.
“Where ever you get your work done I really don’t care, just remember, I want you at the office early tomorrow, because I want to leave for the Ohio Jewish Center so we can be at the first show”.
“I have no problem with that, so I will see you tomorrow”.
Charles hung up the phone and went to take a shower. After his shower, Charles put on a pot of coffee and pulled out his files on the roster. With one title, in the company, we need some sort of a ranking system. Charles thought to himself. Charles looked at the list of names in front of him We have Fumihiro Ota as champ, and I am making Matt Sparrow the number one guy. We need this fight over the title to really take off to give us breathing room until other guys are ready”. Charles continued to look at his notes. “I need to find a way to get TJ Bailey and Too Hot together?...Maybe a mutual respect thing. Charles sat back and put his pen down. “Ok, if Sparrow fails to work out who do I want as his replacement?” Charles thought to himself. Charles looks at his notes about the roster. Sparrow and Valiant have a close enough gimmick that Ota could really been angry with both if need be. As Charles was thinking his phone rung, Charles answered it, to find out that it was a friend. The friend asked Charles if he wanted to go to the local mixed martial arts fight card tonight at the local civic center. Charles agreed and left the apartment for show. After the decent show Charles came back to the apartment at one in the morning and fell asleep.

Charles woke up the next morning and put on a pot of coffee before going to take a shower. After his shower, Charles made sure his notes were together as he grabbed a cup of coffee and left for the office. As Charles made it to the office Mr. Ota was standing by his car waiting for him.
“Charles your late”. Mr. Ota informed him.
“Sorry, boss”.
“Well lets go I want to get there and get my title”. Ota told Charles as Ota started the car as the two started down the road to the Ohio Jewish Center.
The ride to the Ohio Jewish Center was fairly uneventful as Mr. Ota focused on getting to the show. Hours later the two finally arrived at the Ohio Jewish Center. Mr. Ota stepped out of his car as Charles retrieved the bags from the back seat. The two spent the day touring the Ohio Jewish Center making sure the set up was correct for the show.
“Move that screen above the entrance”. Ota barked at a crew member as Charles looked at the setup. Another crew member walked up to Charles as Ota continued yelling at the crew.
“Mr. Zulas, your old conference room has been set up”. The crew member told Charles as he walked away to continue working. As Charles stood looking at the setup his phone went off. After answering it, Charles realized that it was Mike on the phone. As the two talked, Charles gave Mike the matches for the show and asked him to post a preview on the company site, which Charles relayed to him. With nothing else really to say at the moment Charles ended the call so Mike could get to work. After the call Charles, continued to walk around the building as Mr. Ota continued screaming at the construction crew. When he was done, Charles decided to leave the building and check into the local hotel. Once there he checked the All Star Wrestling website and noticed the preview Mike had created.

After reading the preview, and after a long day on the road, Charles decided to go to bed.
January 12, 2008
Charles woke up the next morning, and put on a pot of coffee as he looked at his notes leading up to the first show. The main note was to focus on Ota. Once the coffee was done, Charles grabbed a cup and went to the front desk to check out. Once out of the hotel, Charles made his way over to the Ohio Jewish Center where Ota was finalizing the last minute changes to the set. Charles pulled into the parking lot and walked in to the building as Ota met him at the front door in his gear. Ota did not let Charles take a step before speaking.
“So do you have everything you need?’ Ota asked Charles.
“I do but looking at the setup and the roster we have, I think putting on an hour show each week would be pushing it. At the moment I think to cut cost we should only do half hour shows”.
Ota rolled his eyes, “We will do what we have then end the show”.
“Question, Ota. How much did you decide to charge for tickets?”, Charles asked.
“Fans are getting into the first show for two dollars a ticket. Before you freak out, that price will go up next week”. As Ota and Charles were talking a young man came up and introduced himself.
“Hello, I understand you are putting on a wrestling show today”. Mr. Ota just looked at the man. “My name is Ben Williams and I am a wrestler. A friend told me that you were coming to town, and I would like to offer my services if you would let me”. Mr. Ota just continued to look at the man, as Charles spoke.
“Well I do need someone to take on TJ Bailey tonight. So I will tell you what, go out there and show us what you can do, and if we like you, we can talk about your contract later”.
Williams smiled, “thank you, sir”. Williams walked away to get ready as Charles and Ota talked. “You will be closing the show tonight”. Charles told Ota as the roster gathered around. Once the roster was assembled, Charles started to speak.
“Hello and welcome, now I know some of you from the old Total Wrestling Action. Let me tell you, those days are dead and welcome to the first All-Star Wrestling show. Every week before the show, I would like you all to meet back here as we are now and I will go over what the expected line up will be for the show. Tonight, I will open the show, just thanking the crowd in attendance, after that we move to our first A.S.W. match as TJ Bailey faces Ben Williams, which will be followed by Bailey’s post match antics. The wrestlers look around for this Williams wrestler who is finishing getting ready for his match. Next Idol will take on Lion Heart, after that match Mainstream will come to the ring. After Mainstream leaves Mr. Ota will make his way to the ring and proclaim himself champion, leading to the main event where Ota will take on Raphael”. Charles put away his notes. “Now everyone good luck tonight and have fun out there”.

All Star Wrestling
January 12, 2008
Hello wrestling fans are you ready for the best wrestling action on the planet? This is Mike and I am coming to you from the Ohio Jewish Center as All Star Wrestling has come to town. Tonight was a really cheap ticket of only two dollars to see the newest wrestling promotion in the area. Tonight we started off in classy fashion as the announcer who I recognized as Charles Zulas, former owner of the short lived promotion Total Wrestling Action, attempted to pump up the crowd thanking the audience in attendance for coming to the first All Star Wrestling show.
After he left the ring, it was time for All Star Wrestling’s first match as a wrestler by the name of Ben Williams came to the ring. The audience gave Williams no reaction as he came to the ring; getting the wrong reaction is not good for your character, but getting no reaction is even worse. As Williams waited in the ring, his opponent TJ Bailey came out down the walkway. It had been awhile since I had watched a Bailey match so I was interested to see if he had improved at all. The referee gave some final words to both men and called for the bell. Both men locked up in the center of the ring with Bailey getting the early advantage pushing Williams into the ropes and whipping him across the ring. Bailey shot Williams high into the air with a backdrop as Williams crashed to the mat. Bailey waited for Williams to get to his feet and connected with a dropkick dropping Williams to the mat again. Williams rolled to the floor to regroup as Bailey waited inside. Once regrouped Williams climbed back into the ring, and the two locked up with Bailey keeping control…Let me tell you the crowd is dead for this one, as Bailey applied an arm wringer to the right arm transitioning to a nice Russian leg sweep driving the back of Williams head to the canvas. The guys in the back must have noticed how bad this was because the match ended fairly quickly as Williams made it back to his feet as Bailey climbed to the top rope and came off with a cross body into a pin to put the first All Star Wrestling match in the books. After the match Bailey went into a post match dance routine but the crowd had none of it.
The in ring work was not terrible but the crowd just killed the match.
As Bailey went to the back, the crickets could still be heard as Brendon Idol came to the ring to face Lion Heart. Just like the Williams Idol received no reaction from the fans. The same sadly happened for Lion Heart as he made his way to the ring. As the two stood face to face in the ring, Lion Heart slapped Idol to get things going. Lion Heart put a knee into Idol’s gut before picking him up and dropping Idol with a bodyslam and an elbow drop to the chest. Heart taunted the fans but they just sat there which is just sad. Lion Heart went back and brought Idol to his feet who took control back with a quick right to the face to stun Heart. Idol bounced off the ropes and connected with a running clothesline sending him to the mat. Lion Heart bounced to his feet and was greeted with an Idol dropkick for his trouble. Idol quickly covered Lion Heart for the one, two, three.
As Idol attempts to leave the ring, another wrestler who goes by the name Mainstream Hernandez came to the ring spun Idol around to hit him with a super kick to the chin sending Idol crashing to the mat.
At this point of the show someone needs to check the pulse of the crowd to see if anyone is alive out here.
As Mainstream left the ring, I was shocked as a small response could be heard from the fans as Fumihiro Ota came to the ring carrying a bag. Ota climbed in the ring and called for a microphone. Ota proceeded to pace the ring before speaking and calling the rest of the roster a bunch of weak losers who don’t belong in the wrestling business. With the reaction of the crowd tonight, he may be right. Ota then reached inside his bag and pulled out a title belt and proclaimed to call himself the All Star Wrestling champion. He then challenged the wrestlers in the back to take it from him. After a few minutes a young man who goes by the name Raphael came out to answer the challenge.
Raphael came into the ring and stood in front of Ota who just kicked him in the gut as the bell sounded. Ota then connected with a snap suplex before waiting for Raphael to get to his feet. Ota continued the attack as he blasted Raphael with a knee to the face as Raphael made it to a knee. Raphael crumpled back to the mat as some in the crowd began booing Ota. Ota then grabbed Raphael’s right leg and dropped two elbows to the knee, before locking on an S.T.F. Raphael fought in the S.T.F. and to the shock of everyone including Ota, Raphael somehow managed to make it to the ropes. That did nothing but make Ota angry as he released the hold and got to his feet before stomping away at Raphael who laid in the ropes. The referee yelled at Ota for continuing the attack, who backed off of Raphael and waited for him to get to his feet. Maybe Raphael should have stayed down because as Raphael made it to his feet Ota charged towards him and connected with a sick Ninja Strike, sending Raphael crashing to the mat. Ota laughed at the crowd and placed a foot on Raphael’s chest as the referee counted the three count. As the referee went to get the “title” Ota forced the referee to raise his hand in victory. Ota raised the title in his right hand as the some in the crowd booed.
After Ota left the ring the show, ended. For the first show of All Star Wrestling it revealed something interesting a think. Overall the roster draws ZERO reaction from the crowd. When Ota came out though the crowd began to show life, so maybe if they ride Ota they may be able to get somewhere.

January 13, 2008
Mr. Ota and Charles made it back to the office just as the sun was coming up. Charles got out of the car to get the bags as Mr. Ota stretched.
“Sir, do you know how many we had at the show?” Charles asked Ota.
“The final gate said 43”. Ota responded with looking at Charles.
“Well sir, I am going to go home and go to sleep. I doubt I’ll be back today”. Charles mentioned as he grabbed the cup of gas station coffee sitting in the car”. Ota was silent as Charles got in his car and left. Once home Charles put away his notes and went to sleep.
Hours later Charles woke up and went to his computer. The first thing he did was check his e-mail. His inbox had spam in it but one address caught his eye. Kevin@prowrestlingcouncil. Charles opened it up and read the e-mail
TO: Mr. Zulas
RE: Grading All Star Wrestling
Hello, Mr. Zulas
I don’t know if you remember me, but this is Kevin from the Pro Wrestling Council. We are the group that ranks the world of pro wrestling. I oversaw your former company Total Wrestling Action and now I have been tasked to oversee All Star Wrestling. Grades for the January 12th show below.
Charles looked at the bottom e-mail and noticed the following grades
Charles welcomes grade: E
TJ Bailey defeated Ben Williams: F
Bailey dances: F
Brendan Idol defeated Lion Heart: F
Mainstream Hernandez attacks Idol: F
Ota claims the title: C+
Fumihiro Ota defeated Raphael: C
Ota taunts fans: C+
Overall: D
Charles looked at the grades and frowned before powering down his computer. Charles put “Scream” into his DVD player and sits down to relax for the night. Once the movie ended, Charles went back to bed for the night.
January 14, 2008
Charles woke up the next morning and took a shower before heading to the office. Charles made to the office and was greeted by Mr. Ota.
“Hello, Charles. Ben Williams called about getting a contract with us. Do you think we should sign him?”
“While I don’t think he will ever be a star. He might be able to be used as a jobber as he was on the last show”. Charles responded to Ota’s question.
“Great, so we can offer him a contract then. So what did you think of the show?” Ota asked Charles.
“It laid a foundation, I guess. I thought it went ok. The fans seemed bored, but they liked you. Next week’s show will be a telling sign”. Charles replied.
As Charles and Mr. Ota talked the office phone rang. Charles picked it up, after a couple of rings, expecting Ben Williams. Instead of Williams, the voice on the other end claimed to be that of Canadian wrestler Murderous Mikey. As the two continued to talk Mikey mentioned that he had heard from a friend about the company. Mikey asked about possibility of joining the roster. Charles told him that if he wanted to join the roster to call back tomorrow and see about a contract. Mikey agreed to call back, hung up the phone. As Charles hung up the phone, Mr. Ota continued to talk about the show.
“I still think we need to have All-Star Wrestling be an hour show, we have too many wrestlers only to have a half hour show”. Ota mentioned.
“Ok we can try an hour show this week”.
As Charles and Ota were talking, the phone rang again. Charles picked it up and this time it was Ben Williams.
“Let me put you on, speaker Ben”. Charles asked as he put him on speaker.
“Ok go ahead Ben, you are on with myself and Mr. Ota”.
“Hello Mr. Ota”. Williams began, “I was in your first show and you asked me to call you about signing a contract”.
“Yes, Mr. Williams. Charles and I talked about your performance at the show. While we do not consider you a star at this time, we think you can be a valuable asset to the company”. Ota told Williams.
“Because of that, Charles continued. We would like to offer you a nine month contract for $125 per show”.
“Thank you”. Was the only response from Williams.
“Great, you can officially sign it at the next show”. Mr. Ota told Williams.
“Ok, I will be there”. Williams told Ota and Charles before he hung up the phone. Ota looked at Charles before speaking “So it looks like we have another signed to the roster”.
“We have Murderous Mikey calling tomorrow for a contract, so I am going to leave today”. Charles told Mr. Ota before getting up and leaving the office.
Charles made it back to his apartment and went right to bed.

January 15, 2005
Charles woke up the next morning and put on a pot of coffee before going to take a shower. Once out of the shower, Charles grabbed a cup and gathered his notes before leaving for the office. Charles made it to the office and walked in the door.
“Hello Mr. Ota has Mikey called yet?” Charles asked.
“No, not yet, Charles. Listen Charles, I checked the books and we lost three thousand dollars on the first show”.
“Ouch, we could increase ticket prices”.
“Or we could just hire cheaper wrestler or have less shows a month”. Ota answered back.
“I have never been a fan of monthly shows. It does not keep the audience hooked. What about getting a pay per view or a tv deal?” Charles asked.
“We can’t get a deal, nobody will sign us”. Ota answered back.
As Ota and Charles talked the office phone rang. Charles put the phone on speaker before speaking.
“Hello you have reached Charles and Mr. Ota, who am I speaking with?”
“This is Murderous Mikey, we spoke on the phone yesterday about a possible contract”. The voice on the other end revealed.
“Oh hello Mikey, Charles here. Looking at the roster we have built so far we are short on good quality heels. I believe you would make a nice addition as a heel to our roster”.
“Thanks, any thoughts to my character?”, Mikey asked.
“We have a small group of known wrestlers like Ota, Mainstream Hernandez, and Valiant. What we need right now is a strong heel presence in the middle of the card, to help our less developed and younger stars grow. Being in the midcard range will also help you get time to start gaining a fan base without having the pressure of being a top star”. Charles informed Mikey.
“What would you have me do?” Mikey asked over the phone.
“I think it would be great to have you come in as a surprise attacker of one of our current faces”. Charles mentioned.
“I could do that.”
“Good to hear. Ota finally chimed in. Not being well known in the United States, I would like to sign you to a nine month contract at $150 per show”.
“I accept”. Mikey informed the two.
“Great, you can sign the contract Friday at the show”. Charles told Mikey.
“See you then Mikey”. Ota told Mikey, before ending the call.
Charles looked at Ota after the call.
“Since we don't have another one, I am going to leave and go home”.
“See you tomorrow then, Charles.
Charles got up from his chair and left the office. Once Charles made it home he went right to bed and fell asleep.
January 16 2008
Charles woke up the next morning and found a message on his cell, Charles played the message and found that it was from Mr. Ota saying that he was out with the flu and would not be in the office today. With Ota not being in the office, Charles decided to work from home, so after putting on a pot of coffee, Charles pulled out his notes and placed them on his dinning room table. Charles began plotting out the next show, focusing on the title match between Ota and Sparrow. Charles decided that since Ota had a match, and that because their match was next week, Sparrow needed to have a match this week. As Charles continued to think about the card, he received a phone call. The name on the phone called himself Rolling Johnny Stone. The two talked for a while, Stone mentioned that he was a part of Ring of Fire and told Charles about the promotion. As Stone continued to talk he told Charles that the main reason he called about joining was honestly money, because R.O.F. only had one show a year at the time being and that no one could live on that. As the two continued to talk Charles agreed that no one could live on a Ring of Fire schedule and that if Stone came to the February 5, 2008 show he would have a tryout match waiting for him. Rolling Johnny Stone thanked Charles and hung up the phone.
After the phone call Charles decided to grab some lunch, run errands for the rest of the day. Once home Charles turned on S.W.F. as they had a stacked card with Calamari Kid, Joe Sexy and Runaway Train all defending their titles on the show. When the show ended, Charles decided to call it a night and go to bed.

January 17 2008
Charles woke up the next morning and put on a pot of coffee as he looked at the card laid out for the show. Once the coffee was done, Charles grabbed a cup and left for the office. Once at the office, Charles pulled out his notes and placed them on his desk.
“How are you feeling, Mr. Ota?” Charles asked.
“Better today but not one hundred percent”. Ota told Charles.
“You will be on the next show but you will not have a match, Mr. Ota”.
“What do you have planned, Charles?”
“Well just as you asked I have planned the show to be an hour, this week. The show will be based mainly around the final push between you versus Matt Sparrow as well as Mainstream Hernandez versus Brendon Idol”.
“Sounds good”.
“Last night, Rolling Johnny Stone called me and asked to come in. I told him to be at the February 5th show and I would give him a tryout match”. Charles informed Ota.
“Just make sure he does not cost too much, Charles”.
“We have a couple of weeks so we should be ok, Mr. Ota.
“Remember I want to leave for the show, early tomorrow morning so be here as soon as possible”. Ota told Charles.
“I am going to head out and rest up for the show, Charles so I will see you tomorrow”. Ota told Charles before heading towards the door.
“Remember we have Ben Williams and Murderous Mikey officially signing contracts at the next show, Mr. Ota”.
With Ota gone for the day, Charles left the office and headed home to rest for the drive to the Ohio Jewish Center. When Charles made it home he e-mailed Mike the line up for the show and asked him to write up a preview before heading off to bed for an early night sleep.
January 18, 2008
Charles woke up the next morning and put on a pot of coffee before going to take a shower. Once out of the shower, Charles grabbed a cup of coffee and checked his e-mail. In his in box Charles found two e-mails of importance, one from Mike saying the preview was done and the other from Mr. Ota saying that they needed to talk because some of the wrestlers are not happy. After checking his e-mail, Charles went to the All Star Wrestling site and found the preview for the January 19, 2008 show.

After reading the preview, Charles powers down his computer and heads to the office. Once at the office, Charles puts the bags in Mr. Ota’s car. Before they left for the show, Mr. Ota told Charles that they should just stay at the hotel tonight. After dealing with a few detours Mr. Ota and Charles made it to the hotel in the late afternoon and went to the local steakhouse for dinner and drinks before turning in for the night.
January 19, 2008
Charles woke up and took a shower. After his shower, Charles put on a pot of coffee and gathered his notes, taking one final look at the notes made for the show. Once the coffee was done, Charles poured himself a cup, left the room and checked out of the hotel. Charles made it to the Ohio Jewish Center as a few of the wrestlers were coming into the building. As Charles walked around the building he bumped into Ben Williams. Charles and Ben talked about his last show and informed him that he would be wrestling on tonight’s show. Ben seemed excited about the chance to be in the ring again. Charles then opened up his files and pulled out the contract that Ben needed to sign to officially be a part of the company. Ben quickly signed the contract and left to get ready for the show. As Charles continued to walk around the building he could hear Mr. Ota and Lion Heart arguing, as Charles walked around the corner Lion Heart told Mr. Ota that he thought he deserved better then what he was getting and that he was not the only one who thought that way. Charles just continued on as Murderous Mikey walked up to Charles. The two talked as Charles informed him that he would be on the show tonight. Mikey was on the ball as he had a pen in hand to sign his new contract. Charles pulled it out of his files and let Mikey sign the contract. Moments later Ota came up to Charles.
“So are we ready for the show?” Ota asked.
“It’s right here.” Charles answered pulling out the show format. As the roster filed in around them.
“It is time for another All Star Wrestling show. Here is the rundown of the show tonight. Charles began. Ben Williams will take on Valiant to open the show. After that Murderous Mikey will debut and take on Too Hot, when that match ends we will head to an interview with TJ Bailey where Mikey will get involved. Once that is done Des Davids will face Mainstream Hernandez and then after the match Mainstream will challenge Idol for next week. Mainstream After you challenge Idol I want you to hang around ringside and try and talk with the fans. Once Mainstream leaves, Matt Sparrow you will take on Lion Heart, and after your match you will challenge Ota over the idea that he “claims” the title to end the show”. Charles informed the roster.
“Everyone have a good night and put on a good show”. Ota chimed in as the roster broke up to do their own things before the show.
