Hey...this is AWESOME, it is so great to see you back again, I had thought this thread was dead...thanks for keeping it going.
now, I was looking at the roster, and I know it's trifling, but the theme song of the Briscoe Bros. is "Gimme Back my Bullets" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
keep it up my man

Except from VIP AUDIO: DAILY KELLER HOTLINE
Okay, touching on tonight's episode of FUSION, I have to admit that I was surprised at how loaded the show was. Since COAST 2 COAST has come on the air, FUSION has been relegated to a bit of the "B" show but tonight was action-packed from beginning to end and it was quite the contrast to last night's dull edition of ECW which was headlined by Big Daddy V and C.W. Anderson beating Tommy Dreamer and Sabu. The debut of Larry Sweeney came across like a pretty big deal. Sweeney had been working for PWG, Jersey All Pro Wrestling and Border City Wrestling since Ring of Honor went under. With his skill on the microphone, it was surprising that none of the big three had signed him prior to this. His signing came together quickly after Prazak told management that he was jumping to TNA to reunite with his good friend Gabe Sapolsky.
The Xtreme Gauntlet storyline is intriguing as well although I would be much more in favor of things if they found a way to incorporate the rest of the Insurgency into the equation as opposed to just Trent Acid, especially since Kaz and Rave have just as much upside and since Butcher Brody has a very large, very vocal cult following. It doesn't make sense to focus on one man alone regardless of how well he is playing his role.
Switching gears to the WWE, one has to wonder how focused Vince McMahon is on his product heading into SummerSlam considering that his latest venture, the XBV, Xtreme Beach Volleyball has started its inaugural season......

"We are in the heart of the sunshine state on the campus of the University of Central Florida and this is the flagship show of the National Wrestling Alliance. Ladies and gentlemen, this is COAST 2 COAST! I'm your host Scott Hudson, joined once again by the legendary James J. Dillon. J.J., what a show we have tonight, headlined by Trent Acid taking on 'The Great Koji', Satoshi Kojima."
"What a show indeed Hudson. Steve Corino's Xtreme Gauntlet is proving to be more of an Xtreme trap for Trent Acid. Last Thursday, he took a helacious beating at the hands of Morishima before the Horseman got himself intentionally counted out. One can all assume that was all part of Steve Corino's master plan to inflict as much damage as possible on his nemesis. Tonight, he faces another killer in Satoshi Kojima. Its survive and advance for him if he wants to secure that shot at Corino's North American title!"
"In addition to that clash, we have the second NWA appearance of 'The Son of Samoa' Sonny Siaki as he takes on Gran Akuma. The young Samoan's quest to be the World Heavyweight champion continues right here tonight. Plus we have Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian of the Insurgency squaring off with Gedo and Jado! All of this and much much more! Let's get to the ring! We're going coast to coast America!"
The new theme song for COAST-2-COAST is LAND OF CONFUSION by DISTURBED!

XBV! XBV!
Enjoyed the show. I was thinking that the change of manager was leading to a feud where Prazak would bring in new guys to battle with his old guys but obviously it was just a storyline to phase out Prazak before going to TNA. Doing a good job building up Trent Acid

You won't want to miss this week's edition of Xtreme Beach Volleyball. "All of the volleyball, none of the ugly chicks!"
I had been keeping an eye on Sweeney but I couldn't justify bringing him in with Prazak, Daizee, Callis and Jack Victory already working as managers. I almost shifted Prazak into an announcer before I brought in JJ Dillon and would have tried to sign Sweeney then but I ultimately thought JJ was more NWA than Prazak for that role. Once Prazak signed with TNA, I called up ole Larry that same day and offered him a spot.
As for Trent, I am glad you enjoy Morishima kicking the crap out of him. If you liked that, I am sure you will enjoy his match with Kojima tonight. ;)

In the opening match of the evening, Daniel Puder crushes Lash Leroux in 86 seconds by referee's stoppage. After the match, Puder asks, "who do I have to sleep with to get some competition around here?" and puts out an open challenge for anyone to face him at SD12: END OF DAYS. (Match C+, Promo C+)
The backstage camera catches Bryan Danielson arriving at the arena. Scott Hudson notes that Paul Ellering will be here tonight to announce his opponent for SD12:END OF DAYS! (B-)

In the second match of the evening, Sonny Siaki defeats Gran Akuma by pinfall in 4:03 with the Siakalypse Now. As Siaki is playing to the crowd after the bout, Joey Munoz slithers through the crowd and attacks Siaki, waffling him with a chair and then blasting him with the Kaostrify. He takes the ringside microphone from Lauren Jones. "Welcome to the NWA gringo. You like to talk about the great tradition of the Samoan people in the world of wrestling. Don't make me laugh amigo. If not for the Rock, that whole incestuous clan of fat goofs would be some of the biggest losers in the history of this sport! And the only reason that the Rock succeeded was because he was only part Samoan. He was able to overcome that handicap! Your clan can't compare to all of the great Latino wrestlers throughout history, legends like El Santo, Mil Mascaras, the entire Guerrero clan, Carlos Colon, Pedro Moralas, Rey Misterio, El Hijo de Santo, Tito Santana and many more! When it's all said and done, when all the smoke has cleared, when you are laying on your back advertising the fact that you just got KAOSTRIFIED, then you'll know, not only am I the better man, I'm a goddamn rock star and you my friend, like all of your pathetic ancestors, are nothing!" Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian defeat Lizmark and La Parka when Kaz makes Lizmark tap out to the Kazmission at 14:31. After the bout, Rave pulls out a photo of the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew and rips it in half. (C+)

Matt Weise defeats Jay Briscoe by pinfall in 6:39 following the Stump Grinder. After the match, a clearly agitated Weise takes the microphone from the lovely Lauren Jones. "Colt Cabana, you must be even dumber than everyone thinks you are. You seriously want to be locked within the confines of a fifteen foot high steel with the King of Monsters? Seriously? I am torn about this since there are laws in this country against assisted suicide. I would hate to go back to prison over someone as insignificant as the likes of you but truth be told, I cannot wait to get my hands around your scrawny neck one more time. I will not be held responsible however for what happens next. Colt Cabana, do not blame me if you're spending the rest of your life on a respirator." (Match B-, Promo B)
As COAST 2 COAST returns from commercial, Paul Ellering and Stan Hansen are standing in the center of the ring. Paul Ellering has a microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm Florida welcome to the Undisputed World Champion, 'The American Dragon' Bryan Danielson!" The Final Countdown by Europe begins to play and the champ emerges from behind the curtain to a nice ovation. He makes his way into the ring where he shakes hands with both legends. "Champ, as always, its great to see you. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule. I know you've been defending that title against the best competition you can find around the globe." Danielson takes the microphone. "That's right Mr. Ellering. In fact, I just got back from successfully defending the legendary ten pounds of gold Friday night in Japan against Keiji Mutoh. I'm still a little jet-lagged but I wanted to be here for this special announcement. As the Representative of the NWA Board of Directors, I will leave the honor of this announcement to you Mr. Ellering." Danielson passes the microphone back to Ellering. "Well, a few weeks ago, this big old Texan to my right came to me with an idea. I was a little apprehensive about it at first but since we had no clear-cut number one contender, I brought the idea back to the Board. Once the Board approved, we went to Bryan to see what he thought of the idea. Needless to say, the next challenge that this man backs down from will be the first. So now that the I's have been dotted and the T's have been crossed, we are here tonight to announce officially that at SHOWDOWN 12: END OF DAYS, Bryan Danielson will defend the legendary ten pounds of gold against this man.......STAN 'THE LARIAT' HANSEN!" The crowd pops and breaks out in a "Stan! Stan! Stan!" chant. Ellering hands the microphone over to 'The Badman from Borger'. "I gotta give all the credit to this fine young man here in front of me, a man who has become a great friend of this old cowboy and a man who is the best damn rassler in this whole damn business! Bryan, I appreciate you giving me one last shot at the gold before I hang up the boots for good. I'm going to give you my all and I expect nothing less from you hombre. Don't let me catch you going easy on me just cause I'm old enough to be your daddy because if you taste the lariat, I promise you this. You'll be staring up at the light for a three count son." The champ smiles ever so slightly. "Well hell Stan, I'm sure an old cowboy like yourself knows a thing or two about Cattle Mutilation!" Both men smile and shake hands. Paul Ellering grabs them both by the wrists and raises their arms in the air as the crowd cheers both men. (B+)
Lauren Jones fires the new "Son of Samoa" t-shirt (available now on NWAwrestling.com) into the crowd. (A*)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=TrentAcid-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/TrentAcid-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=SatoshiKojima.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/SatoshiKojima.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
After a hard-hitting bout, Trent Acid defeats Satoshi Kojima by DQ when Kojima refuses to break a choke hold. After the bell, Morishima and Julio Dinero hit the ring and the beatdown is on. After several moments, Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian run out to make the save. The Horsemen leave the ring without incident, the damage having been done. Steve Corino emerges from the back and begins to speak, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Gosh Trent, we just CAN'T beat you! You must be the luckiest man on earth! I guess the gauntlet will continue this Wednesday night when you face this man....." A giant of a man walks in front of the camera, blackening out the shot momentarily before he menacingly settles behind Corino, folding his massive arms. ".....'The Colossus of Boggo Road' Nathan Jones!" Nathan Jones flexes and lets out an intimidating bellow. As COAST 2 COAST is going off-air, Scott Hudson notes, "Things are going from bad to worse for the leader of the Insurgency! Even if by some miracle he survives the Xtreme Gauntlet, will there be anything left of him come SD12: END OF DAYS?" (Match B, Angle B+)

A slickly produced video is played to start FUSION showing highlights of the beatings that Trent Acid took at the hands of Morishima and Satoshi Kojima during the last two shows spliced with violent footage of Nathan Jones. As the video goes black, there is a voiceover by Scott Hudson. "Even if by some miracle Trent Acid survives the Xtreme Gauntlet, will there be anything left of him come END OF DAYS?"
Cut to opening montage which features shots of NWA legends Lou Thesz, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Wrestling II, Terry Funk, Ernie Ladd, Jack Brisco, Antonino Rocca, Barry Windham, The Road Warriors, Nikita Koloff, Arn Anderson, The Midnight Express, Tully Blanchard, Magnum TA, The Rock-N-Roll Express, and Ricky Steamboat spliced in with shots of today's stars of the NWA, Steve Corino, Tito Ortiz, Bryan Danielson, Matt Wiese, Elijah Burke, the Strong Style Superstars, Morishima, Mr. Wrestling III, Colt Cabana, Daniel Puder, Davey Richards, The Briscoe Brothers, Satoshi Kojima, Doug Williams and Nigel McGuiness, Mistico, Mark Magnus, and Trent Acid. In the opening match of the evening, Jack Evans defeats Sterling James Keenan by pinfall in 4:58 following the Stuntin' 630. (C)
Becky Bayless is backstage with Joey Ryan and Karl Anderson. "Joey, Karl, let me be the first to welcome you to the NWA. Last week you managed to pull a huge upset in your NWA debut by defeating the Strong Style Superstars. Now the question is, can you do it again?" The American Anti-Heroes stare incredulously at Becky for a long second before Joey Ryan, who is rocking his retro aviator sunglasses, begins. "Upset? Sweetheart, that was only an upset to the uninformed and the ignorant. And let me tell you something Betsy, there is nothing I like less than uninformed and ignorant people!" Becky interjects. "Um...that's Becky." Uncomfortable silence. "Anyway, like I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted , the American Anti-Heroes have been traveling the globe seeking out and beating the best talent we can find. Ain't that right Crazy Karl?" Karl Anderson takes the microphone. "That's right Joey! We got 'The Machine Gun' Karl Anderson! 'The Man with the Sweetest Hair in Wrestling' Joey Ryan! The American Anti-Heroes! We're not the good guys! You won't see us wearing white hats! What you will see is a four hundred and sixty two pounds of USDA Choice, Grade A , good old fashioned, American ass-kicking team!" Joey Ryan takes the mic. "You can take that to the bank Britney!" As Ryan and Anderson leave, Becky futilely calls out, "Becky! Its Becky...short for Rebecca! Hello?" (C-)
The camera cuts backstage to the trainer's room where the doctor is checking out Trent Acid who's face is starting to resemble ground hamburger with the beatings he has taken. Paul Ellering is there as are the rest of the Insurgency, Frankie Kazarian, Jimmy Rave and Butcher Brody. "Quite honestly Paul, it would be severely unprofessional of me to medically clear Mr. Acid for action this evening. What he truly needs is several weeks of rest and recov..." An irate Trent Acid cuts him off. "Don't talk about me like I'm not here Doc! Paul you better be damn sure that I'm cleared to fight Nathan Jones tonight unless you want that damn match to happen out in the parking lot!" Paul Ellering and the rest of the Insurgency all try to calm him down. "Whoa, whoa, calm down Trent. I may not see eye to eye with you about how you go about your business but you got heart kid, more guts than brains and I can respect that. Doctor, fill out your report on Trent showing that his not cleared for tonight." Trent looks ready to explode but Ellering presses on. "I said calm down Trent. As the Representative of the NWA Board of Directors, I have a responsibility to protect the Alliance the best I can. This match will happen tonight but first I need you to come to my office to sign some papers." (B-)
The COAST 2 COAST CONNECTION (sponsored by Nextel, Experience Life At Sprint Speed) shows highlights of Joey Munoz's attack on Sonny Siaki. (C+)
After the COAST 2 COAST CONNECION, Scott Hudson and Jim Cornette announce that Sonny Siaki demanded a match with Joey Munoz and that the NWA Board of Directors granted that request for SD12: END OF DAYS. Scott Hudson notes that, "Munoz has a lot to answer for!" (B-)
As Roderick Strong and Kevin Steen make their way to ring for their match with the American Anti-Heroes, Becky Bayless tries to get a word with them but the duo is all business. Larry Sweeney does have something to say though. "So you want the big scoop from Sweet-N-Sour Inc. now huh? Well listen up Lois Lane and listen good. Roderick and Kevin are the best team in the world and now they have THE most brilliant mind in the sport today guiding them. That fluke loss to the Anti-Heroes is in the past. The Strong Style Superstars are the future. Now if you want an exclusive interview after we win tonight, its going to cost you. Out of my way toots." (C+)

As FUSION returns from commercial, Scott Hudson notes that the main event of Trent Acid and Nathan Jones is now officially an unsanctioned bout. In the unsanctioned main event of the evening, Trent Acid is on the receiving end of yet another vicious beating but manages to escape with the win when Jack Victory's distraction backfires. Trent schoolboys Nathan Jones for the win at the 11:47 mark with help from the Greco-Roman handful of tights. The Horsemen start to make their way down to the ring but the Insurgency make their way through the crowd, averting the ambush. FUSION ends with a good old fashioned Mexican Standoff between the two factions. (B-)

NWAwrestling has learned that there will be a mystery opponent for Trent Acid this week on COAST 2 COAST as he continues the Xtreme Gauntlet. NWAwrestling.com has learned that his opponent is not a member of the Xtreme Horsemen.
In addition, the Naturals will square off with Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian with the winners facing off with the Strong Style Superstars for the right to face the NWA World Tag Team Champions, Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams at SD12: END OF DAYS!

In addition, there will be highlights of Jim Cornette's exclusive sit-down interview with everybody favorite, 'Classic' Colt Cabana! You will not want to miss what the Coltster has to say heading into his match with the King of Monsters, Matt Weise!

Huge as far as size or as far as star power or huge in terms of the shock value? :)

Star power or shock value. It's either a new signing, or a former ally of Acid... Or both.

Well I just spent my last 5-6 hours reading this all the way from the beginning and I'm glad I did. Every show has been fantastic and it's great to see someone stick with the same thing for a long period of time. You really get to see the workers and company evolve. This is in my top five favorite diary's of all time for sure. Make me want to get back to doing them, I haven't done one since the days of EWR.
Can't wait for more man.

"You are looking live at the North Charleston Coliseum and this is COAST 2 COAST! I'm your host Scott Hudson joined as always by Mr. James J. Dillon. J.J., we have quite the show tonight headlined by a huge main event!"
"Mark Magnus versus 'Too Dangerous' Daniel Puder! It doesn't get much bigger than that on free TV Scott! Magnus isn't too happy about squaring off with the brash youngster just days away from his Loser Leave the NWA Forever Match with Mr. Wrestling III. Puder on the other hand has been begging for better competiton, well congratulations son, you just got it. Your mouth may have written a check your body can't cash!"
"In addition to that, we have hot and heavy tag team action as the Naturals will take on two members of the Insurgency, Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian with the winning team squaring with the Strong Style Superstars next week with the winner getting a shot at the World Tag Team Champions, Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams at SD12: END OF DAYS!"
"And don't forget that Steve Corino's Xtreme Gauntlet rolls on as a battered and bruised Trent Acid faces off with a mystery opponent. All we know is that whoever he or she is, they are not a member of the Xtreme Horsemen. Knowing Steve Corino's sadistic streak, I am sure it won't be good news for Trent!"
"In addition, you will see Jim Cornette's exclusive sit down interview with 'The Classic One' Colt Cabana as he prepares for his steel cage match with 'The King of Monsters' Matt Weise at SD12:END OF DAYS. You will not want to miss what the Coltster has to say! Let's not waste any more time talking! Let's get to the ring! We're going coast to coast America!"

In a dark match, Seth Skyfire defeated Sterling James Keenan and Tyler Black defeats Lizmark.

In the opening match of the evening, Jay Briscoe defeats La Parka by pinfall with an inside cradle in 8:02. (C)
The camera backstage catches Trent Acid and Butcher Brody arriving together at the arena. Trent still looks battered although not quite as bad as last time. As they enter the building, Paul Ellering comes up to Trent and shakes his hand. "I hate to make you do this again Trent but I need you to sign more papers. There is still no way I can sanction this. I respect your guts but I still need to so what is best for the company." Trent shrugs. "You do what you gotta do man. I'm doing what I gotta do." (B-)
Backstage, Becky Bayless is getting set to interview Michael Murphy and the Blue Meanie but before she can begin, Joey Munoz storms in and shoves them out of the shot, sending Murphy to the floor and sending Meanie crashing into Becky. Munoz roughly pulls Becky up by her arm and begins to shoot a promo on Sonny Siaki. Becky is clearly in some pain . Michael Murphy, thanks to his Irish temper is steaming mad at the sight of Becky being hurt, although the Meanie does his best to restrain him. As Munoz continues to belittle the Samoan tradition in wrestling, Murphy finally breaks free and pounces on him getting a couple of stiff right hands before the irate Latino can pry him off. "You miserable little piece of crap. You are lucky I'm in a good mood or you'd be a stain the floor here. You have a helluva lotta nerve putting your hands on a goddamn rock star like myself. You and me bub, in the ring, tonight! If you know what's good for you, your skinny little ass won't chicken out! Otherwise you won't want to see what might 'accidentally' happen to your little girlfriend here." Munoz finishes up by hocking a big loogie right onto Murphy. He's about to charge him again but is restrained by the Meanie and Becky who begs him to let it go (displaying acting skills that would make Miss Elizabeth proud. ;) ) (C)
The FUSION FLASHBACK (sponsored by White Castle,What You Crave!) shows highlights of the Strong Style Superstars defeating the American Anti-Heroes to advance to the finals of the four team mini-tournament to determine the new number one contenders to the NWA World Tag Team titles. (C+)

The match between the Naturals and the two members of the Insurgency ends in a no contest when out of nowhere, the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew hit the ring and decimate both teams. Jack Victory, who followed them down to the ring, snatches the microphone out of Lauren Jones hand. "This match is a goddamn joke! They're having matches to determine the new number one contenders to the World Tag Team titles and the most dominant team in the sport was NOT in the mix? Are you frickin' kidding me? This is just more anti-Horsemen bias by the NWA! I hope the Board of Directors takes a long hard look at what happened here tonight. Keep in mind that this is just the beginning gentlemen. In case you all forget, the Xtreme Horsemen are at war with the NWA and ALL is fair in love and war! Let's go boys!" (Match C+, Attack B-)
As COAST 2 COAST returns from commercial, Joey Munoz is already in the ring with his new theme song, Rock-n-Roll Jesus by Kid Rock is playing as he waits for Michael 'Dropkick' Murphy to get to the ring.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/N1Vi8Z6vyQw&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/N1Vi8Z6vyQw&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Backstage, the Blue Meanie and Becky Bayless are trying to stop Murphy from taking this match but the headstrong youngster is undeterred. "Please Mikey, don't take this match! If something happens to you, then I'll have to carry Colt's bags!" Murphy and Becky both stop and stare incredulously at the Meanie who shrugs with a 'what did I say' expression on his face. Becky takes Mikey's face in her hands and pulls him in close. "Listen to me Mikey. Joey is a jerk and a bully but I don't want you to get killed because of your pride. My arm is a little sore but I'm fine. You don't have to prove anything to me!" Mikey shakes free of her grasp."This isn't about you! Well, maybe it’s a little bit about you. I couldn't stand it if something happened to you! The fact is though, sometimes you need to stand up and fight for something you believe in." Becky smiles and kisses him. "Go get him tiger!" (C)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=DropkickMurphy.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/DropkickMurphy.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=Kaos.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/Kaos.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
In a surprisingly close match, Michael Murphy almost pulls off the huge upset but Munoz survives to get the pinfall at the 7:56 mark. The end came when Munoz sidesteps the Wild Rover and pins his foe with the Greco-Roman feet on the ropes. (C+)
As COAST 2 COAST returns from commercial, Scott Hudson and J.J. Dillon set up Jim Cornette's sit down interview with Colt Cabana. There is a clear difference in Colt that even a blind man could see. The smile that lights up a room is nowhere to found. The twinkle in his eye is gone. For the first time that anyone can remember, Colt Cabana is completely and unmistakably serious. He is wearing a pair of sunglasses to cover up part of his face which is still a bit battered from Matt Weise's assault, all these weeks later. Colt cuts off Jim Cornette before he can ask him his first question. "I'm not here to play twenty question Jim. I'm sorry to burst your bubble. I'm here to send a message to the so-called King of Monsters, Matt Weise. Matthew, it was one thing to attack me in that parking lot. You beat me fair and square so I can respect that. It may have been a sickening, violent assault but on that night I may have bitten off more than I could chew and I paid for it." Colt removes his glasses to reveal stitches above his right eye. "But what you did to Elijah Burke.....I can't fathom who would do something that sickening to a great kid like Elijah. You truly are...for lack of a better word....a monster. Now I've never been accused of being too bright and maybe getting locked in a fifteen foot high steel cage with a monster just reinforces that but guess what? History is filled with stories of monsters being defeated. Dragons are slain. Ogres and trolls are beaten. Even that nasty Cloverfield monster was stopped. At SD12: END OF DAYS, the reign of the King of Monsters will come to an end as well. Whatever it takes, whatever the cost, for what you did to Elijah.....you will fall and fall hard! That I promise you!"
(B-)
The camera cuts back to the ring where Trent Acid is, awaiting the fourth rung in the Xtreme Gauntlet. Battle Without Honor or Humanity begins to play and Steve Corino emerges from the back, flanked by Jack Victory and another man of average size, in a white hoodie. The hood is pulled down low, covering his face and he's carrying a Louisville Slugger baseball bat. J.J. Dillon notes that if he's Trent's opponent, "at least he's not completely out sized yet again." The threesome begin to walk towards the ring as Corino begins to speak. "Hiya Trent. Good to see you still standing. You're tougher than I thought! I hope you like tonight's little surprise. I am sure you'll recognize your old buddy, your old tag team partner......Johnny Kashmere! Its amazing what a little cash can do to change a man's mind about his friends. Hahaha!" Johnny Kashmere rips off the hoodie and charges the ring. (B+)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=JohnnyKashmere.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/JohnnyKashmere.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=TrentAcid-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/TrentAcid-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Trent Acid defeats Johnny Kashmere by DQ in 7:57 due to Steve Corino's interference. Late in the bout, Trent has his former partner set up for the Acid Reflux but Corino blatantly smashes him in the arm with Kashmere's baseball bat. The Horsemen smugly leave the ring as paramedics rush in to tend to Trent Acid who is holding his arm limply, in obvious anguish. Hudson notes that, "It looks like severe damage has been done to Trent's arm!" (C)
Lauren Jones fires the new Joey Munoz "Goddamn Rock Star" T-shirt (available now on NWAwrestling.com) into the crowd. (A)

In the main event of the evening, Daniel Puder pulls the upset when Mr. Wrestling III takes out Gregg Groothius with a chair and diverts Magnus' attention. Puder schoolboys him for the win at the 17:34 mark. Magnus pops right back up and ignores Puder completely and begins screaming threats and obscenities at Mr. Wrestling III. Puder seizes the opportunity and clamps on the Keylock. Magnus is howling in pain and his arch rival crouches down in front of him, almost mockingly as COAST 2 COAST goes off the air. (B+)

Yeah, it wasn't exactly a mystery on the level of Mr. Wrestling III's identity but to me, it made sense knowing how Steve Corino has evolved as a character. First he has physically tormented Trent and now he went for a little mental or emotional torment. He really is a cruel bastard. :)

For the second week in a row, a slickly produced video is played to start FUSION showing highlights of the beatings that Trent Acid took at the hands of Morishima, Satoshi Kojima and Nathan Jones during the last several shows followed by his betrayal at the hands of his former friend Johnny Kashmere as well a series of black and white stills shots of Steve Corino's vile bashing of his forearm with a baseball bat. As the video goes black, there is a voiceover by Scott Hudson. "It looks like severe damage has been done to Trent's arm!"
Cut to opening montage which features shots of NWA legends Lou Thesz, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Wrestling II, Terry Funk, Ernie Ladd, Jack Brisco, Antonino Rocca, Barry Windham, The Road Warriors, Nikita Koloff, Arn Anderson, The Midnight Express, Tully Blanchard, Magnum TA, The Rock-N-Roll Express, and Ricky Steamboat spliced in with shots of today's stars of the NWA, Steve Corino, Tito Ortiz, Bryan Danielson, Matt Wiese, Elijah Burke, the Strong Style Superstars, Morishima, Mr. Wrestling III, Colt Cabana, Daniel Puder, Davey Richards, The Briscoe Brothers, Satoshi Kojima, Doug Williams and Nigel McGuiness, Mistico, Mark Magnus, and Trent Acid. The screen goes black for a moment and the motto of the NWA appears, OUR TRADITION BUILDS LEGENDS. The brand new theme song of FUSION is HERE TO STAY by Korn.

Trent Acid enters the arena. To say he looks pissed off, would be an understatement. He has a soft cast on his forearm, the same arm that Steve Corino took a Louisville Slugger to only three days earlier. 'Precious' Paul Ellering immediately comes up to him. "No! No! No! Absolutely not Trent! This has gone too far! Waivers or not, I cannot let you climb into that ring tonight." Trent walks right past the NWA Board of Directors representative. "Hey buddy, listen to me when I'm talking to you! You are not facing Julio Dinero tonight!" Acid pounces on Ellering and quickly grabs hims by the lapels of his sports jacket. There is an undeniable anger in his eyes, bordering on madness. "No you listen up buddy! I don't give a flying *expletive* what you say. No one tells me what I can or can't do. Brody, Jimmy and Kaz told me I couldn't do this tonight....that they couldn't be part of seeing me destroy myself because of some crusade of vengeance. So do you know what I did? DO YOU?" He shakes Paul Ellering by the lapels. The rep's face tells the story, showing a mix of anger, disgust, pity and fear all at once. "I told them to *expletive* off. The Insurgency is done! I am a goddamn one man army! I didn't need their help. I didn't need their approval and I sure as hell don't need yours. I already had my lawyer work up this waiver. Its rock-solid protection for the NWA and I signed it. Now you make this match happen or you're going to need more than just security here tonight!" Acid releases his grip on Ellering and smooths the lapels before shoving the waiver paper in his chest and walking off. (C+)

The COAST 2 COAST CONNECTION (sponsored by Nextel, Experience Life At Sprint Speed!) shows highlights of the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew attacking the Naturals and Jimmy Rave & Frankie Kazarian during the mini-tournament to determine new number contenders to the NWA World Tag Team titles. (C+)
As FUSION returns from commercial, Scott Hudson announces that the NWA Board of Directors has ruled that as a result of the chaos from last week, there is no clear cut number one contender to the NWA World Tag Team Titles. He adds that this Sunday, in the opening match, the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew, the Naturals and Jimmy Rave & Frankie Kazarian will face off in a threat match with the winning team facing off with the Strong Style Superstars later in the evening to determine the new number one contenders. (C+)
A video is played showing Stan Hansen in training for his NWA/ROH Unified World Heavyweight title match against Bryan Danielson at SD12: END OF DAYS. The Badman from Borger is shown working on the farm, lifting big bales of hay, plowing the field and chopping down trees. At the end of the video, Hansen looks into the camera and smirks. "Bryan Danielson, you're like a son to me. Hells, I like you better than most of my own snot-nosed flesh and blood boys. You represent everything that is good about this business. You're an incredible athlete and an incredible wrestler but.....and this is a big but!" Hansen points at his forearm. "You ain't never felt the Lariat. This arm might as well be made of solid steel. It broke Bruno Sammartino's neck. Before the main event of the evening, Paul Ellering sends out the building security crew to ringside in an effort to prevent any escalations. Trent Acid defeats Julio Dinero in 15:58 when referee Brian Hebner stops the match due to excessive bleeding by Dinero. The Horsemen attempt to interfere during the match but are thwarted by Ellering's security. Acid wrestles like a man possessed and absolutely dominates his former tag team partner. After crushing him with the Acid Reflux, rather than pinning him, he mounts him and proceeds to pound him mercilessly until the blood flows freely, forcing the stoppage. Acid stands up and wipes Dinero's blood on his chest and climbs up on to the the top rope where he points at Steve Corino who is standing at the entranceway, unable to get to the ring. (B-)

From NWAwrestling.com
The NWA Board of Directors made a ruling regarding the number one contenders to the NWA World Tag Team titles and as a result, this Sunday, there will be a huge triple threat match to open COAST 2 COAST! The Rising Son Wrecking Crew will clash with the Naturals and the tandem of Jimmy Rave & Frankie Kazarian. The winner of that match will take on Larry Sweeney's duo of Roderick Strong and Kevin Steen, the Strong Style Superstars later in the show. The winner of that match will square off with the NWA World Tag Team Champions, Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams at SD12: END OF DAYS!
In addition, you will not want to miss the big eight man tag team main event as future opponents NWA/ROH Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion Bryan Danielson and the legendary Stan Hansen will team up and join forces with Mr. Wrestling III and Sonny Siaki to take on Mark Magnus, Gregg Groothius, Joey Munoz and 'The Dynamo' Davey Richards.
In addition, Steve Corino has announced that he has another surprise opponent for Trent Acid as the Xtreme Gauntlet continues. How much of a price will Trent Acid continue to pay to get his hands on his former friend? All of this and much more Sunday night!
NWA COAST 2 COAST live Sunday night on F/X! Don't you dare miss it!

From NWAwrestling.com
NWAwrestling.com is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dylan Summers who had been wrestling for the NWA as Butcher Brody and had previously been known the Necro Butcher. He was found this morning in his hotel by his friend and traveling partner Jimmy Rave. Police do not suspect foul play but no other details are available at this time. We here at NWAwrestling.com extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Dylan Summers during this difficult time.

The usual introduction is not played and the screen goes black again. A chant of "NEC-RO BUTCH- ER!!!" is heard from the crowd. The camera refocuses within the Silver Spur Arena where the crowd is filled with signs that fans made expressing their sympathies. The entire NWA roster walks to the ring as the show begins.
***IMPORTANT*** This is just an event that occurred in my game and NOT in real life. The Necro Butcher is still alive and well and will hopefully be with us for a long time. Once again, the Necro Butcher is still alive in real life. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

In dark matches the American Anti-Heroes defeated the Headhunters and Human Tornado defeated Scott Lost.
The entire NWA roster and staff are in the ring. Tears are flowing freely as their expressions are range from shock to numbness to dismay. They are all wearing black armbands with 'DS' on them. Stan Hansen, struggling to fight back the tears, has a microphone. Scott Hudson notes how hard this has been on Hansen as he had taken Dylan Summers under his wing as his protege. He had been working on making the man he called Butch into more a pure brawler and less of a garbage wrestler. Hansen had even introduced him to the family of the late Bruiser Brody, who had given him their blessing to use the Butcher Brody name. "I've lost friends before at way too young an age and it never gets any easier. Bruiser Brody, Terry Gordy.....and now Butch. Butch came to me a couple of months ago looking to improve his skills in the ring. He said he wanted to be able to hold up his end of the bargain with all of the great wrestlers here in the NWA. I worked that's kid's ass of in the gym, stretched 'em. Beat 'em. Punished 'em. Butch took it with a smile and never complained. The dumb son of a bitch was too tough for that. Tonight we're here to pay tribute to how Dylan Summers lived his life, not dwell on how he died. Hopefully he's looking down on us now with a smile. Hopefully his pain and his demons have subsided. Hopefully Bruiser and Bamm Bamm are there with you, raisin' a little hell! I just wanna say....Butch, we're gonna miss down here buddy. I pray you've found some peace. I'm gonna ask you to take care of all of the boys here in this ring and all of our brothers around the globe. You take care of yourself Butch and I'll see you again someday son! Now I'm going to ask for you all to be quiet as we have a moment of silence for our friend, Dylan Summers." Stan signals to the time keeper at ringside who proceeds to ring the bell for the traditional ten bell salute. Stan Hansen, one of the biggest, toughest men ever to step into the ring, can't fight back the tears anymore. Following the lead of the undisputed leader of the locker room, there isn't a dry eye in the ring. The screen goes black as the rest in peace graphic is shown once again as COAST 2 COAST goes to commercial. (B+)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=StanHansen.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/StanHansen.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=BisonSmith.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/BisonSmith.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
In the opening match of the evening, Stan Hansen crushes Bison Smith by referee's stoppage in 3:48 with Butcher Brody's finisher, the Asiatic Spike. The crowd is raucously behind the Badman From Borger from bell to bell. The entire match, they chant "But-cher Bro-dy". Hansen points up to sky in tribute to his friend before leaving the ring. (B-)
Backstage, Paul Ellering comes up to Trent Acid. "Trent, I can't even imagine what you're going through right now but I'm imploring you not to continue this suicide mission you're on." Trent's eyes are red and raw, presumably from tears. "I appreciate it Paul but I need to be in that ring tonight. I need to hit someone. I need to feel something other than this creeping blackness that has permeated my heart. Butcher Brody was a man of action and I will not disrespect his spirit by backing down from a fight." Steve Corino walks into the shot. For once, he is completely alone, not a Horseman to be seen. "Trent. I don't like you. You don't like me. That much a blind man could see but there is no way I'm hell I'm continuing the Xtreme Gauntlet tonight. Its too much.....even for me. We'll finish this another night after you've had some time to grieve. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend." In one of the most shocking moments in NWA history, Steve Corino extends his hand in sympathy. Trent, stares for a long moment before accepting. "Thank you. I will see you on Wednesday night." Steve Corino nods. "We will be waiting for you. You best be ready because you have one more match before you get me and you're gonna face the Horsemen.....Diggstown style." Trent Acid nods and turns to Paul Ellering, "Get me someone else in that ring tonight Paul. I have some emotions I need to work out." Paul Ellering nods in agreement. (B+)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=TrentAcid-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/TrentAcid-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=JohnnyKashmere.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/JohnnyKashmere.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
As COAST 2 COAST returns from commercial, Trent Acid is already in the middle of the ring. Paul Ellering is leading out a very apprehensive Johnny Kashmere to the ring. He is protesting the match and wants no part of Trent Acid who smiles rather sadistically. Ellering physically tosses him into the ring and calls for the bell. Trent Acid batters his former tag team partner from pillar to post as the saying goes, busting him wide open at one point when they were brawling outside the ring. He mercifully puts an end to the beating at the 10:04 mark, pinning him after the Acid Reflux. (C)
The FUSION FLASHBACK (Sponsored by White Castle, What You Crave!) is rather dull this week, showing Scott Hudson's announcement regarding the NWA World Tag Team title number one contender matches which were scheduled for tonight. Scott Hudson announces that due to the extenuating circumstances, only the first of the two matches will tag place tonight and that the second match will take place this Wednesday night on FUSION. He also adds that the original main event will not take place either. J.J. Dillon adds that there will be a Twenty Man Tribute to Dylan Summers Battle Royale tonight.(C+)

In a hard-hitting triple threat tag team match, the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew emerge victorious after Morishima cleanly pins Andy Douglas following the Backdrop Driver in 17:57. In a show of good sportsmanship, all six men shake hands after the bell. After the match, the Strong Style Superstars and Larry Sweeney walk through the curtain, eying up their opponents for this Wednesday night. (B)

Thanks guys. This was a tough show to write. I had a bit of a knot in my stomach even though I knew the Necro Butcher was still alive. It was a weird feeling. Plus I had to make some real changes to the script as well. :(

"You are looking live at the jam-packed Cricket Arena deep in the heart of NWA country and this is FUSION! I'm your host Scott Hudson joined as always by the legendary Mr. James E. Cornette. Jim, its all about two matches tonight!"
"That's right Scott. Two huge matches! First we will have a tag team showdown for the ages as Morishima and Satoshi Kojima, the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew will square off with Larry Sweeney's duo of Roderick Strong and Lean, Mean Kevin Steen, the Strong Style Superstars. The winners will take on Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams this Saturday night at SD12: END OF DAYS with the NWA Unified World Tag Team titles on the line!"
"Plus one way or another, we have the finale of the Xtreme Gauntlet. Trent Acid has survived every challenge to get to this point and now he faces a Diggstown challenge. Do you have any idea what that means tonight Jim?"
"Well first of all, survived is a very good choice of words here Scott. Trent Acid has survived physical pain. He taken beating after beating. He has had his forearm broken by a Louisville Slugger. He has survived emotional pain, first from the betrayal of his long time tag partner Johnny Kashmere and then the pain from the tragic passing of his friend Butcher Brody. I honestly don't know how the man is still standing. As for the Diggstown challenge, if my memory serves me right, and that can be in question these days. Diggstown was a film starring James Woods and Louis Gossett Jr. from the early nineties. As I recall, Gossett was a former boxing champion who faced several men in a very short period of time. This doesn't sounds good for Trent Acid!"
"It doesn't sound good at all but it should be fascinating to see! We've got a loaded night so let's get to the ring and our lovely ring announcer Lauren Jones. FUSION starts now!"

In the opening match of the evening, the SSS and the RSWC brutalize each other for over ten minutes before Jack Victory and Larry Sweeney get into a physical altercation when Sweeney prevents Victory from interfering in the match. Roderick has Koji trapped in the Stronghold and the Horseman taps out. However, due to the ringside chaos, referee Brian Hebner doesn't see it. Morshima seizes the opportunity to pounce, blindsiding Roderick with a boot to the back of the head and follows it up with a crushing Backdrop Driver. He drags Koji on top of him and he scores the one two three and the shot at the gold Saturday night. (C+)
Backstage, the camera catches Trent Acid signing another waiver for Paul Ellering. Ellering puts his hand on his shoulder, "Son, you don't have a blessed thing to prove to anyone but I know better by now than to try and talk you out this. Just be careful out there. Lord only knows what kind of trap Corino has planned for you." Trent Acid nods, "You don't have to tell me Paul. I know I'm walking into a hornet's nest but I've managed to make it this far in one piece more or less. I need to see how this final chapter plays out. Hopefully I can get a little lucky and maybe, just maybe Butch is looking out for me from heaven." The two men shake hands and part ways. (B-)
The camera shifts to a locker room where Becky Bayless is standing with 'Too Dangerous' Daniel Puder. Behind them is a small monitor. "Daniel Puder, a few weeks ago you put out an open challenge to anyone who wanted to face you this Saturday night. So far, no one has taken you up on that offer." Puder smiles confidently. "Not a peep from anyone, not that I can blame them. I mean, would you want to mess with the man who nearly broke Kurt Angle in two, the man who was too violent for MMA and too dangerous for the WWE? Its like asking to get bones snapped and limbs broken. No one volunteers for that Becky." Becky raises her hand to show a DVD with the words 'FOR DANIEL PUDER'S EYES ONLY!' written on it. "Apparently someone IS volunteering for it Daniel. Shall we take a look?" Puder nods,"By all means."

"Well what do you know, it looks like I got myself a match for Saturday. I don't know who you are pal, but just remember, you fight Daniel Puder and you lose!" (C+)
Scott Hudson and Jim Cornette run down the card for SD12: END OF DAYS at ringside. (C+)
Lauren Jones fires the Butcher Brody tribute shirts (available now on NWAwrestling.com with the proceeds going to his family.) into the crowd. (A*)
Battle Without Honor or Humanity begins to play and Scott Hudson notes that, "Finally, mercifully, we have reached the conclusion of the Xtreme Gauntlet." As Steve Corino makes his way down to the ring, flanked by Jack Victory, Julio Dinero, Nathan Jones and Johnny Kashmere (who is sporting a large bandage on his forehead from where he was split open by Trent on Sunday night) , Jim Cornette adds, "Mercifully may be the wrong choice of words Hudson. Mercy has never been Steve Corino's strong suite." The Xtreme Horsemen enter the ring as Jack Victory, as rudely as ever snatches the ringside microphone out of Lauren's hand and passes it to the King of Old School. "Okay Trent, get on out here. Time to put an end to this ridiculous farce." Right on cue, RIGHT OR WRONG by DMX begins to plays. Trent Acid walks down and climbs right into the ring showing not the slightest bit of trepidation despite being outgunned five to one. "I'm in a pretty good mood tonight and I feel bad for you Trent so I'm going to give you one last chance to call this off and leave here in one piece. What do you say pal?" Trent's glare could burn a hole in Steve Corino. "Ring the damn bell." The Horsemen all get a good laugh at this display of courage. "So be it. You've dug your own grave pal. All week people have been asking what a Diggstown challenge is. Its pretty simple actually. Its amazing what kind of inspiration you get when you're up watching movies at three in the morning. Diggstown, featuring the great James Woods came on and it became pretty clear how this had to end. You're going to face Johnny here one more time. If you can beat him, you'll take on Julio one on one. If you manage to get past Julio, the Colossus of Boggo Road is waiting for you. Now if by some fluke you are still standing, well I have to just get the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew out of the hot tub and you will have to beat them in singles matches as well.Five matches, one night. Are you still about this buddy?" Trent Acid doesn't flinch. "Ring the damn bell." Ironman by Black Sabbath begins to play and Paul Ellering emerges from the back. "Hang on here one minute before this degenerates into the gang mugging the Horsemen have in mind. I want each and every one of the Horsemen who are not in this first match to go back to the locker room. If any of the Horsemen interferes in this match, I will strip Steve Corino of the North American title. Now.....ring the damn bell!" Steve Corino looks a bit flustered but he and his crew comply. As he walks out, Jack Victory grabs Kashmere by his t-shirt. "Get it done! No excuses this time!" (B+)

Trent Acids crushes Johnny Kashmere in 3:04, pinning him after the Acid Reflux. As soon as referee Rudy Charles slaps the mat for the third time, Julio Dinero sprints out of the back and attacks Trent Acid, starting the second match. (C-)

Trent Acid pins Julio Dinero in 7:58 with a small package. Nathan Jones strides down to the ring with Jack Victory running alongside him, imploring him to crush Trent Acid(C+)
Steve Corino is shown backstage talking with Julio Dinero and Johnny Kashmere. "Where the hell are the Crew?" Both men shrug their shoulders. "Well, find them then!" Corino looks livid. (A)
The camera cuts to a different area backstage where the door marked Trainers Room is padlocked shut. There is a loud pounding on the door and yelling from inside in what sounds like Japanese. (B-)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=TrentAcid-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/TrentAcid-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=NathanJones.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/NathanJones.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Jack Victory doesn't immediately leave ringside prompting referee Rudy Charles to get into an argument with him as the bell rings. Charles ejects him from ringside, infuriating Nathan Jones who argues vociferously with him. Trent Acid seizes the opportunity and rolls up the big Aussie for the one two three at the twenty four second mark. (C)
Corino is out of his mind backstage looking for the Crew as Paul Ellering comes up to him."Where is your next man? You need to get someone out there or you will have to forfeit." Corino has completely lost his cool. Jack Victory runs up, clearly winded. Paul Ellering smirks, knowing that for once, Steve Corino doesn't hold all the cards. "Well, Steve. You need to get someone out there and I don't see either one of the Crew anywhere." Corino thinks for a long second. "Jack, get back out there. You need to wrestle Trent and try to stall for time while I find Morishima." Jack Victory looks like he has seen a ghost. "Go!" (A)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=TrentAcid-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/TrentAcid-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=JackVictory.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/JackVictory.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Jack Victory plays cat and mouse with Trent Acid for as long as he can but is ultimately caught and pinned at the 4:51 mark after falling prey to the Acid Reflux. As soon as Victory is pinned, Battle Without Honor or Humanity plays and a particularly irate Steve Corino comes out with a microphone. "I don't know what the hell you did with the Crew Trent but I guess as the old saying goes, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Prepare to get your ass kicked pal!" (Match C-, Promo B+)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=TrentAcid-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/TrentAcid-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=SteveCorino.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/SteveCorino.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
The two rivals tear at one another with reckless abandon with neither man backing down. At the nine minute mark, Trent Acid, despite battling exhaustion, actually actually gains a bit of an advantage when his former Insurgency teammates Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian emerge from the crowd and hop the railing. They begin yelling at Trent Acid. As he gets back to his feet, Steve Corino begins to smirk. Scott Hudson notes, "It seems like Steve Corino always has an ace in the hole!" Trent Acid is clearly distracted but continues on with the match although Corino quickly regains the advantage. He whips the spent Trent Acid into the ropes where Rave and Kaz yank him down to the floor where they begin screaming at him until finally tempers flare and Jimmy Rave clocks him with a right cross. Referee Rudy Charles calls for the bell, earning Trent the win by disqualification. Corino stares incredulously at the referee and then asks Rave and Kaz, "What the hell are you doing?" The two men reach down and drag Trent Acid back to his feet before suddenly raising his arms in victory! Jim Cornette exclaims, "Trent Acid has pulled one over on the puppet master! It looks like the Insurgency isn't done but rather stronger than ever! Trent Acid, against ALL odds has earned his shot at the North American title! My God, I can't believe what I have just seen!" As FUSION goes off the air, Steve Corino is livid as Trent Acid and the Insurgency celebrate the upset! (Match B)

Except from VIP AUDIO: DAILY KELLER HOTLINE
Let's touch on the NWA's twelfth edition of SHOWDOWN, END OF DAYS. It was implied last night on FUSION that "Cowboy" James Storm has indeed jumped to the NWA as many had speculated and will be facing Daniel Puder Saturday night. He will be using his real name James Black. From what I understand, he will be using the nickname Gunsmoke and have a similar gimmick to his cowboy gimmick he used in TNA although the expectation is that it will be less cartoonish and less emphasis placed on drinking. I also understand that he will debut as the newest member of Larry Sweeney's Sweet & Sour Inc.
As for the rest of the card, it is a rather odd mix of hot feuds and a truly bizarre world title match featuring Bryan Danielson defending the World title against....how can I put this? Aged veteran Stan Hansen. I don't know if the NWA would pull the trigger on a Stan Hansen upset for the ages but it would probably cause some serious damage to Danielson's reputation as the "workrate" world champion to lose to a man over twenty years his senior so I guess we will have to see what happens.
It is truly the main event that is going to draw the fans in though as it is being billed as the final chapter of one of the hottest and longest running feuds in the entire world of wrestling as Mr. Wrestling III will take on Mark Magnus in what is being billed as a Loser Leaves the NWA Forever. Losing either one of these men would be a huge loss for the NWA talent roster. Many people are speculating that the loser of this match could return under yet another mask so we shall see what happens.
Switching gears, we need to touch on Jose Maximo defeating Homicide for the TNA X-Divison title........

Seeing that I just passed 40,000 views today, I just wanted to take this time to thank everyone who has taken in interest in my little story, especially to the fans who have been with me from the beginning. Fan support (combined with my own ego) has kept this diary alive far longer than I could have anticipated and for that I am grateful. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to leave their thoughts and comments and thanks to those who have just lurked and read (although seriously, would it kill you to leave a comment?)
As we head into SHOWDOWN 12: END OF DAYS, I think I still have plenty of story left to tell but after the show, I will be announcing a pretty big change to this diary. Thank you all again and here is to 40,000 more views!

"You are looking live at the sold out Nashville Municipal Auditorium and this is SHOWDOWN 12: END OF DAYS! I'm your host Scott Hudson joined tonight by two of the legendary managers in the history of wrestling, Mr. James J. Dillon and Mr. James E. Cornette. Jim, with seven big matches, what a show we have tonight!"
"That is an understatement and it all starts with our big double main event! First for the Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship! We have the most unlikely number one contender in a long time, as the ageless Stan Hansen has a shot at Bryan Danielson's title. Who is your pick to win JJ?"
"You would have to think that American Dragon is going to roll through a man twenty plus years his senior but I can't rule out the Lariat. Stan Hansen is as tough as they come. The man is not ready for retirement just yet!"
"Well one man's career will be over tonight, at least as far as the NWA goes as Mr. Wrestling III and Mark Magnus will tangle one last time. We don't need to remind people about this war. Its been the biggest feud in wrestling for a long time and tonight it will be all over!"
"Scott that is the only way that this war could have ended, by separating them for good! And speaking of wars, its a cliche in wrestling but there is no other way to describe the situation between Steve Corino and Trent Acid!"
"That is true J.J. but we also have a brewing war between the King of Monsters Matt Weise and Colt Cabana, in a steel cage nonetheless! It is going to be a violent night with all these combustible personalities and situations."
"In addition to that, we have Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams defending the NWA Unified World Tag Team titles against the Rising Son Wrecking Crew, Joey Munoz taking on 'The Son of Samoa' Sonny Siaki and 'Too Dangerous' Daniel Puder taking on a mystery opponent! This is loaded card from top to bottom tonight and we're not going waste any more time talking. Let's throw it to our colleague, the beautiful and talented Miss Lauren Jones for our first match of the evening."
The theme song of SD12:END OF DAYS is SO LONG by EVERLAST.

In the opening match of the evening, Sonny Siaki defeats Joey Munoz in 11:11 when referee Brian Hebner disqualifies Munoz for hitting him with a roll of quarters. After the match, Munoz continues the assault until NWA referees and officials tear him off Siaki. (Match C+. Attack C)
Becky Bayless catches up with the Entourage backstage, looking to get some comments from Colt Cabana as he prepares for his big steel cage encounter with the 'King of Monsters' Matt Weise. Apparently his preparation involves playing Grand Theft Auto with the Blue Meanie. "Coltster that was awesome bro. You totally cracked that dude's head open with your crowbar!" As the two buddies exchange high fives, Becky interjects. "Colt, can I get a few words with you before you match with Matt Weise tonight?" Colt pauses the game and stands up as all the while Michael Murphy makes googly eyes at the objection of his affection (which we are reasonably sure is Becky not Colt :)). "Sure thing Beckster. You know I always have time for you....and time for a sandwich. Meanie, go grab us a couple of heroes from that Subway across the street. Get a foot long Sweet Onion Teriyaki and a Coke for me and a kid's meal for Mikey." The Meanie cackles and runs off. "I'm encouraging him to eat better. Hopefully he can drop a few pounds like that Jared dude. You know he used to be an even fatter bastard than the Meanie?" Becky Bayless is flabbergasted by Colt but presses on. "Um, your match? What about what Matt Weise did to Elijah Burke and what he did to you for that matter?" Colt looks a bit nervous. "Yeah about that....well you see it turns out that Elijah is feeling a lot better and I'm A-okay so really, I don't see any need to get into a cage with Matt Weise. I'm not that stupid. I mean, no harm, no foul. Am I right or am I right?" There is dead silence. Somewhere a cricket chirps. "Um Colt, this match has been signed so I think its going to happen whether you want it to or not. What are you going to do since it seems like you're not prepared for this match?" Colt scratches his head in apparent bewilderment before finally having his eureka moment. "Well the first thing I am going to do is to call Meanie up and tell him to switch my order to a small Sweet Onion Teriyaki hero and a Diet Coke! Then I'm going to find Paul Ellering and beg him to cancel this match. He better be in a good mood. Maybe I'll have Meanie pick him up one too. There is no way he can turn me down if I have a meatball parm hero for him!" (B)
The camera cuts back to the ring where "Too Dangerous" Daniel Puder is already in the ring with Don Callis, awaiting his mystery opponent. A video begins to play.

Scott Hudson notes that "Gunsmoke" James Black, formally James Storm in TNA has just signed with the NWA. Black makes his way to the ring and gets nose to nose with Puder. Referee Rudy Charles calls for the bell.
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=James_Storm-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/James_Storm-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=DanielPuder.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/DanielPuder.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
The two tough guys battle for a good seven or eight minutes until Larry Sweeney makes his way down to ring and begins yelling at Don Callis. As Rudy Charles tells Sweeney to go back to the locker room, Puder hocks on a big loogie right on the CEO of Sweet & Sour Inc. Black seizes the opportunity to kick Puder squarely in the crotch and then he tosses him right over the top rope on to Don Callis. As soon as Puder is counted out, Sweeney hops in the ring and hugs Black before raising his arm in victory. J.J. Dillon notes that it seems like S&S Inc. has a new member. (C+)
As the Rising Sun Wrecking Crew, accompanied by Jack Victory make their way to the ring for their title match, Becky Bayless runs up to them. "Can I get a few words guys?" The two Japanese monsters stare at her for a moment, devoid of emotion before Jack Victory pulls the microphone towards. "They don't speak a lick of English genius. Even if they did, they could give two craps about what a broad like you has to say. You want your sound bite? Here it is. Tonight, in this dump they call Nashville, Tennessee......BAD GUYS WIN, GOOD GUYS LOSE AND AS ALWAYS.....THE RISING SUN WRECKING CREW PREVAILS!" (C+)
The camera cuts to Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams in their locker room, watching what just unfolded with the Crew. "Don't give it another thought Nigel. Those wankers have no clue what they are in for. We've been defying the odds since we won these titles. I see no reason for that to change tonight for the pride of the motherland. Good guys wins, bad guys lose and as always....England prevails!" Nigel smiles slightly and playfully slaps his partner on the back. "Right you are Doug. I have a feeling tonight we're going to shock the world! Let's get to the ring mate!" (C)

The two teams battle for over fifteen minutes with Nigel McGuinness playing Ricky Morton, taking a vicious beating from the Crew before finally making the hot tag to Doug Williams. The Anarchist hits the ring, the proverbial house of fire unloading on Kojima with chops and stiff right hands. His momentum is stalled though by a sudden lariat by the Great Koji and soon he finds himself on the receiving end of a beating as well. He tries several times in vain to make the tag to Nigel who is still groggy from the beating he took but the Crew manage to cut the ring in half like all good teams. Finally, Williams gets opening and dives towards his corner towards his partners outstretched hand except at the last second, Nigel pulls back and drops down to the floor. He walks back to the locker to a chorus of boos, never once locking back at his tag partner. Doug Williams, stunned at the betrayal and spent from the beating, falls prey to the Backdrop Driver and is pinned by Morishima at the 18:21 mark. Jack Victory grabs the belts from the timekeeper's table and hands them to the new champions, celebrating another Horsemen victory. (B)
Backstage, Becky Bayless is with Stan Hansen. "Mr. Hansen, what are you thoughts tonight as you get your shot at the NWA/ROH Unified World Heavyweight Championship against a man you said is like a son to you, 'The American Dragon' Bryan Danielson?" Hansen pauses for a moment before he reaches into his pocket, pulling out a can of chewing tobacco. He offers some to Becky who, with a repulsed look on her face declines, before shoving a huge wad in his mouth. "First off missy, if I told ya once, I dang near told ya a million times, Mr. Hansen is my pappy and God rest his soul, he ain't been with us for a long time. My name is Stan Hansen. The Lariat. The Badman from Borger. Former AWA World Champion. Former holder of just about every damn title in Japan. The man who broke Bruno Sammartino's neck with this forearm right here." As Hansen gets more animated, tobacco juices begin to flow out of his mouth, grossing out Becky Bayless. "Now to answer your question, yeah Bryan is like a son to me but you know what? Just ask any of my boys and they'll tell ya I whupped their sorry behinds plenty of times when the situation called for it missy. Bryan is a dang good friend of mine....outside of the ring. Inside the ring....well, ha...that's another story. This old Texan ain't had too many friends inside the squared circle. I'll do what I have to in order to win the legendary ten pounds of gold and I expect nuthin' less from the American Dragon. As sore as my old bones are going to be later, I don't want him go easy on me just because of our friendship cuz Lord knows if he does, he'll be staring up at those lights for a three count!" (B+)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=BrianDanielson.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/BrianDanielson.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=StanHansen.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/StanHansen.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Bryan Danielson successfully retains his title, pinning Stan Hansen in 9:53 after ducking under the lariat and tying up Hansen with a crucifix for the one two three. After the match, the two men embrace and shake hands. Hansen makes the announcement that he is "pretty dang sure that he's hanging up the boots for good.....but ya never say never in this business. The ole Lariat may be back when ya least expect it!" (Match B, Announcement B+)
Scott Hudson announces that they have received word from the NWA Board of Directors representative, 'Precious' Paul Ellering has ruled that the NWA North American title match between Steve Corino and Trent Acid will take place within a fifteen foot high steel cage. (C+)
A video is played showing the chain of events between Colt Cabana, Elijah Burke and Matt Weise which led up to tonight's steel cage match. (B-)
Matt Weise is backstage with Becky Bayless who takes one look at the monster and just hands him her microphone before walking off. "I knew it was just a matter of time before the buffoon returned. You have never taken anything seriously in your life Colt so why start now? I mean, all I did was nearly end your life and the life of your buddy Elijah Burke. It seems like your mouth wrote a check that your body can't cash. Getting me inside of a cage seemed like a good idea at the time, didn't it my friend? Now after the emotions have cooled off, you finally have realized what you are in for. You are staring reality square in the face and you've see your future. Just remember, its not my fault that you will soon be spending the rest of your pathetic life on a respirator. Just remember, YOU asked for this!" (B-)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=Horshu.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/Horshu.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=ColtCabana.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/ColtCabana.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
As he enters the cage, Colt Cabana offers Matt Weise half of his Sweet Onion Teriyaki sandwich but the King of Monsters slaps it out of his hand. Colt Cabana looks genuinely surprised that his gesture didn't work and the fight is on. Colt shows some surprising aggression but ultimately fails prey to the Stump Grinder in 17:08. (B-)
The camera cuts backstage as Nathan Jones is dragging the cameraman back to the Horsemen's locker room. "Here you go mate." Steve Corino takes a microphone from the cameraman. "So I'm sure that everyone is having a big laugh at Steve Corino's expense. Everyone thinks that Trent Acid outsmarted me. Everyone thinks that Trent Acid has my number and now everyone thinks that Trent Acid got what he wanted, the King of Old School inside a steel cage with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. I've got news for all you idiots. I am the one who asked for the cage, not Trent! I want to be sure that the rest of those idiots in the Insurgency don't interfere as I beat you into a bloody pulp. Its already been a good night for the Xtreme Horsemen as the Crew has won tag team gold. Now its my turn to crush this so-called Insurgency, like a bug under my boot. Trent Acid, you are a nuisance that has gone on for far too long. Tonight, the King of Old School will do what he should have done a long time ago.....finish you off once and for all!" (A)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=SteveCorino4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/SteveCorino4.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=TrentAcid-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/TrentAcid-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
The two rivals battle for almost thirty bloody minutes before Trent Acid manages to intercept a set of brass knuckles that Julio Dinero tosses into the cage and bashes the King of Old School right square in the jaw, knocking him out cold. As referee Brian Hebner makes the count, the Horsemen begin to scale the cage but are too late. Trent Acid scores the three count and then scurries out the cage door as the Horsemen climb over the top of the cage, intent on hurting the leader of the Insurgency. Kaz grabs the North American title and hands it to the new champ as the Insurgency celebrate a huge victory in their war with the Xtreme Horsemen. (B+)
Lauren Jones fires the new "Gunsmoke" James Black t-shirt (available now on NWAwrestling.com) into the crowd. (A*)
A video is played highlighting the long rivalry between Mr. Wrestling III and the former Patriot, Mark Magnus. (B+)
THE MAIN EVENT IS NEXT!

Lauren Jones is in the ring with a microphone in her hand. Mark Magnus (flanked by Gregg Groothius) and Mr. Wrestling III have both made their entrances and are awaiting the official announcements.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for our MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING! This match is scheduled for one fall and will be held within the confines of this fifteen foot high steel cage. The loser will be forced to leave the National Wrestling Alliance forever!"

"Introducing first, standing in the corner to my left, accompanied by Gregg Groothius, weighing in tonight at two hundred and forty seven pounds, standing six feet two inches tall, hailing from Detroit, Michigan.....'The Vindicator' Mark Magnus!"

"And his opponent, standing in the corner to my right, weighing in tonight at two hundred and thirty three pounds, standing six feet one inch tall, hailing from parts unknown, he is 'The Masked Marvel'.......Mr. Wrestling III!

"When the bell rings, the man in charge will be NWA Senior Official, Mister Rudy Charles."

Rudy Charles calls both men into the center of the ring and Lauren Jones holds the microphone for him during final instructions.
"Okay men, I want a good, clean fight. On my sign, you will go back to your corner and when the bell rings, come out fighting. Are there any questions?"
Neither man moves an inch, as both refuse to break eye contact with the other.
"Its time then. Good luck to you both."

I was going to hold off comments until the main event, but dude, this has been an awesome show from start to finish. Why oh why did I have to wait to post my WrestleMania? Now it'll forever be remembered as 'that good event that was overshadowed by the pure awesomeness of Showdown 12'.
Seriously, Matt Weise over Colt was the right move, I'm a huge King of Monsters mark, and the Coltster is no match.
Acid over Corino... Furthers the storyline, but I'm a Corino mark, so excuse my lack of elation. Still, great storyline.
It's about time the Wrecking Crew got some gold.
Danielson vs Hansen... I wasn't really that huge on this match, but nice to send the Lariat out on a high note.
You have no idea how badly I need to see Mr Wrestling vs Mark Magnus. Hurry up :P

The crowd is going crazy as the bell rings with a loud "MIS-TER-WREST-LING" *CLAP CLAP CLAP* chant breaking out immediately. This proceeds to further infuriate Magnus, who jumps on III right away. He hits a series of chops in the corner and that serves to wake III up as he hits one of his own. Magnus tries to escape over the top but III catches him and starts laying in the European uppercuts in the corner. III runs to the opposite corner, pushes off the turnbuckle for momentum and hits a running forearm. Magnus fights back with a backfist and thigh kick combo that gets him a one count. Magnus tries to go over the top again but III pursues him up the cage. Magnus hits stiff kick on his head, and III drops off the cage back down to the ring. Magnus drops a knee on III off the cage and takes charge of the match. He stomps on III's head, bouncing off the ropes for extra impact before picking him up and tossing him straight into the cage headfirst.
Magnus tries to climb out of the cage but III grabs his foot and pulls him down. He then proceeds to rubs his face on the mesh of the cage, opening up a small cut on his forehead. III backs him into the ropes and unloads with a pair of shoulder blocks. Magnus reverses a hip toss but III bounces right up into an arm drag and then a tight armbar. Magnus makes the ropes although referee Rudy Charles points out to him doesn't matter in the cage. Magnus hits his patented Greco-Roman thumb to the eye and scrambles for the door. Gregg Groothius tries in vain to open the door but the lock doesn't budge. Finally III pulls Magnus back to the center of the ring takes him down to the mat. The two men wrestle on the mat exchanging holds and counters until they get back to a vertical base as III clamps on the hammerlock. Magnus reaches over his head and snapmares III down to the mat, drives a knee into his back and follows it up with a stiff kick to the neck as well.
Magnus tries to climb again but III recovers and slips underneath him. III blast him with a devastating power bomb from eight or nine feet in the air. The crowd ooooohs and III makes the cover, getting a two and nine tenths count. Scott Hudson marvels at Mark Magnus' resilience. III picks Magnus up who in desperation chops him in the throat. III gasps for air and spits out a small amount of blood. This buys Magnus a moment to recover. The crowd is going insane booing the hell out of Mark Magnus. He picks up his masked foe for a fall-away slam, sending him flying right into the cage. He picks up III and hits a second fall-away slam into the cage. An evil grin forms on his face as he wipes a trickle of blood from his forehead and tastes it. Magnus picks III up and plants him on the top rope. Magnus adds insult to injury by slapping his foe across the face before lifting him up and crushing him with a corkscrew brainbuster. Magnus spits on his falllen foe before covering him for the pin. The crowd is imploring their hero to kick out and he complies...barely managing to escape at two and a half.
Magnus continues the assault on the mat clamping on a tight facelock. III is still recovering from the corkscrew brainbuster but finally starts to stir. He edges towards the ropes but Magnus locks up a Stretch Plum. III manages to pop up and nail Magnus with a jawbreaker. III gets back to his feet and begins to pepper Magnus with jabs and chops. He whips him into the ropes and nails Magnus with a flying forearm that would make Tito Santana proud. Magnus. Grabbing the top rope for leverage, Mr. Wrestling III plants a boot on Magnus' face grinding it into the cage. Jim Cornette notes that, "if this continues, Mark Magnus' face is going to look like ground beef!"
Mr. Wrestling III picks his up his foe who is still a little woozy and the small trickle of blood from his forehead is beginning to flow freely. III measures his foe and drills him with a picture perfect superkick to the jaw. III drags Mark Magnus to the center of the ring before turning around and pointing to the top of the cage. The masked marvel scales the chainlink and stands perched on the top corner of the cage as the crowd is going absolutely ballistic. Scott Hudson notes that, "Mr. Wrestling III has climbed fifteen feet in the air to the top of the cage. If he hits this Mark Magnus will be gone from the NWA. If he misses, it could very well be his swan song!" Demonstrating the fearlessness of a young Jimmy Snuka, Mr. Wrestling III leaps off the cage with a flying bodypress. As he leaps, JJ Dillons ponders aloud, "You wonder if his career is flashing before his eyes, whomever he is?" While III was emulating the Superfly however, Mark Magnus had an imitation of his own. Unfortunately for III, his foe doesn't emulate Don Muraco but rather Bob Backland as he rolls out of the way sending his nemesis crashing to the mat.
The raucous crowd has gone dead silent as their hero lay prone on the mat. Finally, the crowd begins their familiar cheer for Mr. Wrestling III, hoping to spurn him on to greatness as he had done so many times before, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Mr. Wrestling III don't move an inch. Mark Magnus however has made it back to his feet and begins to circle his prey like a wild animal. He drags Mr. Wrestling III to the center of the ring and stands triumphantly over his arch-enemy. He holds out both arms and looks up to the ceiling, soaking in the boos, boos that are so loud that small children in the arena have to cover their ears. Boos that are fueled with hatred and disgust for the man who once wore the colors of the United States. Boos because they know what is coming, the dreaded Camel Clutch and possibly the end.
Mark Magnus pulls Mr.Wrestling III's arms onto his knees and clasps his fingers together beneath his chin and begins to pull straight up with a maniacal look on his face, almost like he wants to yank the man's head off of his body. The pain shoots through III's body like a jolt of electricity, snapping him back to reality and the masked man struggles to escape. It does him little good as Mark Magnus has locked his hold in like an anaconda. The more III struggles, the tighter he cinches the hold in. Referee Rudy Charles is right in front of the action, checking to make sure that Mr. Wrestling III has not tapped or lapsed into unconsciousness. He must have confused him with someone else because Mr. Wrestling III does not know the meaning of the word quit despite being in excruciating pain. Mr. Wrestling III continues to fight, desperate to escape the hold but knowing full well that reaching the ropes won't do a blessed thing for him on this night. The crowd has whipped itself into an absolute frenzy, like they were witnessing Elvis, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones all sharing the same stage. The old cliche of the late, great Gorilla Monsoon, "This place is literally going to explode!" could not ring any more true.
Precious seconds tick by with no sign of escape and the situation looks dire. Seconds become minutes but Mr. Wrestling III continues to fight, frustrating the hell out of Mark Magnus. He finally relinquishes the hold and stands up. Mark Magnus spits on his fallen enemy before driving a knee squarely into the small of his back. What little hope the crowd had gained vanishes in an instant as Mark Magnus locks the hold on once again. Scott Hudson begins to openly question the referee and ringside doctor's judgment as far as ending the match goes before he suffers permanent injury. Mr. Wrestling III begins to bleed from the mouth through his mask and referee Rudy Charles goes to call for the bell but at the last second, Mr. Wrestling III manages to grab his arm to stop him, saying almost inaudibly, "Don't you dare." This act of defiance infuriates Mark Magnus who breaks the hold and stands up in sheer frustration. The usual look of anger and hatred in his eyes has given way to a new emotion, madness. Mark Magnus begins to stomp on his prone enemy until he is motionless. He straddles Mr. Wrestling III and begins to unlace his mask. Referee Rudy Charles steps in to intervene but gets shoved to the mat for his troubles. Mark Magnus unlaces the mask and yanks it off revealing of course another mask.
Magnus' frustration level has just doubled and he begins choking Mr. Wrestling III with his own mask before Rudy Charles snatches it out of his hands. He shoves the referee to the mat once again for his troubles and lets out a sinister bellow. As he reaches down and begins to unlace the next mask, referee Rudy Charles gets back to his feet and begins jawing at Mark Magnus, threatening to disqualify him if he lays another hand on him. Magnus sneers and spits on the NWA's Senior Referee before going back to work unlacing the mask. As he does this, Mr. Wrestling III makes his move. In one swift motion, he reaches up with his legs, grape-vining Mark Magnus' arms with his feet while at the same time sweeping out his legs from underneath him with his hands, sending his enemy crashing down to the mat. Rudy Charles is in perfect position and counts the shocking one two three at the 38:23 mark!
Mr. Wrestling III collapses in a combination of sheer exhaustion and pain. Mark Magnus is livid, grabbing Rudy Charles by the scruff of his neck. Ringside referee Brian Hebner unlocks the cage and Gregg Groothius barrels past him into the cage where he proceeds to pick up Mr. Wrestling III by the throat, choking the life out of him. Bryan Danielson, Colt Cabana and the rest of the Entourage runs down to make the save. Danielson waffles Groothius with a chair and the behemoth drops III. The Entourage converge on Mark Magnus and drag him out of the cage. Bryan Danielson tosses Groothius out right behind him and then goes back and helps Mr. Wrestling III back to his feet and raises his arm in victory. The Entourage each grab one of Mark Magnus' limbs and lift him over their head and proceed to carry him out of the arena and dump him out into the alley behind the arena. Danielson and Mr. Wrestling III lead the crowd in the time-honored chant, "Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Goodbye!" (A)

Absolutly AMAZING Main Event. It's a shame that either man had to lose, as I love both characters. But it was pulled off amazingly well. I honestly thought that was the end for Mr Wrestling when Magnus had him in the Camel Cluth. Anyway, once again, amazing show. But hopefully Magnus will find a way back into the NWA.

Yeah well it was just a matter of time. Magnus was SO over, its no surprise that Vince wanted him. Trust me, I would have loved to keep him around for a long time especially since he has excellent chemistry with Mr. Wrestling III but the NWA will survive......hopefully.

The screen is black to start the show but repeating chants of "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!" are heard. A still shot of Mr. Wrestling III standing on top of the cage is shown, followed by stills of Mark Magnus cinching in the camel clutch, Mr. Wrestling III tying him up for the surprise pin, Bryan Danielson raising Mr. Wrestling III's arm in victory and the Entourage dumping Magnus out in the back alley.
The theme song for COAST-2-COAST is LAND OF CONFUSION by DISTURBED!

In the opening match of the evening, the Blue Meanie defeats Rainman by pinfall with the Meaniesault in 4:03. (C+)
After the match Scott Hudson announces that they have some shocking footage of Larry Sweeney and Jack Victory from last night at SHOWDOWN 12 that will be shown later. (C-)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=LizmarkJr.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/LizmarkJr.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=GranAkuma.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/GranAkuma.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
In the second match of the evening, Lizmark defeats Gran Akuma with a Tornado DDT. (C)
Axeman by Amebix begins to play and out from the back, to a chorus of boos, comes Nigel McGuinness.

Nigel climbs into the ring and takes the ringside microphone from Lauren Jones. The boos escalate. "Why Nigel why?" The boos get louder. "Well, the truth of the matter is that the bloody lot of you don't deserve an answer. Doug Williams was albatross, holding me back from greatness but that will never happen again. Nigel McGuinness is a superstar and no one shall ever forget that from this moment on!" Nigel is interrupted by Stuck in the Middle with You by Stealer Wheels. Larry Sweeney, James Black, Davey Richards and the Strong Style Superstars, Sweet & Sour Inc. hit the ring. Nigel stares at the five men, uncertain of what is about to happen. They encircle the Englishman as Sweeney gets right in his face with neither man backing down. After a long moment, the two men embrace and Sweeney raises Nigel's arm in triumph as the rest of S&S Inc. clap for Nigel. Scott Hudson states the obvious, that S&S Inc. has a brand new member. The moment is cut short by the strains of Ironman filling the arena. Paul Ellering steps out from the back. "I must admit. I was caught by surprise Nigel. I thought you were more of a man than this to associate yourself with this band of lowlifes. But I guess in hindsight it explains what we saw in this piece of video footage I have here. Play it boys." A video plays that shows Jack Victory handing over a fat stack of hundred dollar bills to Larry Sweeney. The two men shake hands and part ways. "I guess the fix was in, huh boys?" Larry Sweeney smiles like the cat who swallowed the canary. "I have no clue what you're talking about there Paulie. By the way....." Sweeney launches into a despicable and completely inappropriate diatribe about the late Road Warrior Hawk that actually gets censored on television because of its vileness. Paul Ellering is absolutely seething, having endured insult after insult about his late friend's character. Despite the overwhelming odds, he takes off his jacket, rolls up his sleeves and begins to make his way to the ring. Ronnie Garvin, Rip Rogers and 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams rush out from the back and restrain him. "You pieces of *expletive deleted* are dead.....dead men walking! For starters, Nigel, I'm granting Doug Williams a match with you next week here on COAST 2 COAST. If any member of Sweet & Sour Inc. interferes, they will be suspended indefinitely without pay! As for the rest of you jackals, you'll get yours, just you wait!" Garvin, Rogers and Dr. Death escort Ellering to the back as Sweet & Sour Inc. mock and laugh at him. (B)

Mistico defeats 2 Cold Scorpio by tap out in 16:34 with La Mistica after Scorpio manages to miss the apparently poorly named Diss That Don't Miss. (B-)
<a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=Kaos.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/Kaos.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/?action=view¤t=DropkickMurphy.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n271/wildfire1324/DropkickMurphy.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Joey Munoz defeats Michael 'Dropkick' Murphy by disqualification when Sonny Siaki storms the ring and attacks Munoz, igniting a huge brawl between the two. The melee is ultimately broken up by an outpouring of NWA officials.
(Match C+, Brawl B-)
A video plays highlighting Mr. Wrestling III's victory over Mark Magnus last night at SD12: END OF DAYS. (B+)
Backstage, Gregg Groothius is standing with Becky Bayless. "Gregg Groothius, you have requested this time. What is on your mind?" Groothius flexes his left bicep before taking the microphone. "Mr. Wrestling III, this war ain't over by a long shot. You may have cheated your way to a victory over Mark Magnus but his quest of destroying this infernal business shall live on! This Wednesday on FUSION, I challenge you to get into the ring with me, 'The Lone Wolf' Gregg Groothius!" (C-)
The camera cuts to the locker room of the Xtreme Horsemen. Steve Corino looks surprisingly calm. "Trent Acid, unlike you, I ALWAYS have a plan. If you check the fine print in your contract. I have the right to a return match at a time of my choosing and that time will be next week, right here on COAST 2 COAST. Enjoy your week with my title pal. I'm sure it will be a wonderful memory you will be able to share with your grandchildren, your spectacular eight days as a champion. Do me a favor and be sure to shine that belt up real nice for me since the North American title is coming back home!" (A)
Lauren Jones fires the new Mr. Wrestling III "Masked Marvel" t-shirt (available now on NWAwrestling.com) into the crowd. (A*)

Great show as usual mate. Just a quick question: How long will it be before you end this diary and begin your Beyond The Glory diary. Very interested to see what happens with that one.

This was actually the final show. I wanted to do a final show to wrap up SHOWDOWN 12 and to give an idea of the direction that the NWA would take. I will begin to provide monthly summaries of what happens between August 2007 and May of 2008 on the NWA: Beyond the Glory diary page while I adapt the data to what I need. In addition I have been working with the very talented CW Saton on some new stunning pictures for the new diary and hopefully he will be providing the new diary with some dynamic PPV posters in the future as well. I am very excited with his contributions and look forward to continue working with him in the future. I will put the finishing touches on this diary this weekend and then it is onward and upward. :)

So we have reached the end of NWA: A RETURN TO GLORY. It has been a lot of fun and I have a lot of people to thank.
G-Prime, Old School, Mackem, the Stallion, the Outlaw and numerous other readers that I am invariably forgetting right now for all of their support. The interest and passion of the fans made it worth while to write each and every show.
Brifidelity for writing his fantastic NYCW Cornellverse diary that got my juices flowing to write my own diary.
Tristam and Nevermore for writing two wonderful real world diaries that constantly challenged me to step my game up to try and keep pace with their epics.
And last but certainly not least......
Mr. Wrestling III for being the breakout superstar with the fans that helped take the NWA to the next level. :)
I am proud of what I have written here but if I can be so bold, I think the best is yet to come! Look for month by month updates on the events that occurred between the end of this diary and the start of the new one on the NWA: BEYOND THE GLORY page. Don't forget to enter the champions prediction contest also located on the new page as well. See you all soon!
