Just thought I'd share this story for everyone's amusement at how serious some people take video games.
I was killing sometime last night playing NBA 2K11 in an online ranked game. I'm playing as the Cavs, since that's my team, and really I don't care if I get smoked, i'm just killing time. I'm playing a dude who is the Spurs and he's up 25-30 points at the half. Proceeds to pause the game 4 times and call 3 timeouts in the 3rd and early 4th quarter to make substitutions and adjustments. I have things to do as I have company coming over. I ask him to hurry. He tells me that he has a right to make adjustments. So eventually I quit when he pauses again and goes into his strategy screens.
I've now had him sending me angry messages last night and again today. Most recently him explaining that its "just a game", I need to learn to "play like a man" and "just go die". I've offered to play the dude again if the win is that important to him, but he "doesn't take **** as seriously as me apparently" and I just need to "go die". :)

Lol I have a friend who works for Xbox and I told him about this and he told me to tell you to file a complaint about him. 1 for threats with text and other for conduct in a game lol. He said that it will easily get him a week ban just for the threats
Also we should start and NBA 2K11 league

I considered reporting him, but just didn't really care all that much. I'd consider playing a NBA 2k league, not sure how they work or whether I'm worth a damn at the game since I've pretty much only played as the ****ty Cavs so far. :)
We'll likely advance tonight barring something keeping me from doing so.

Just a question of curiosity. Would anyone be interested in starting up a secondary dynasty? This one would definitely stay running as well, but the others I was in have died out, and I've been unable to find anything new on the EA forums, so I thought I'd gauge if there was any base interest here in a second league. Likely would be 1 conference, maybe conference vs. conference, or open to suggestions.

Well, my kicker came in at an 80 and I got a JUCO CB who looks like he'll be my number 1, but not much else good news from this class. Gonna need to bang out some stars next year, my whole DL is leaving and I need more impact talent.

I came away with several guys with the potential to start as a freshman, but that has more to with the talent level of my team than the talent level of the incoming class. :)

I came away with several starters as well... Too bad they're all terrible. :(
They're basically starters because my seniors were starters, and damn Pierce had to go try to be a pro.
Things aren't looking good for next year, but I'll stick with them, see if I can recover for next year.

I'd be interested depending on how fast you're talking. If you're talking every day or two, then might be a little quick for me, I'd be able to get it done most of the time, but would definitely miss some. If you're talking every 2-3 days, then it shouldn't be a problem. I might have to bust out the crappiness that is my Akron Zips.

Damn, user game right off the bat.
My availability depends entirely on the weather.
If the gigantic snow storm that's supposed to hit somehow doesn't, then I'll be working a lot of overtime this week. If it does hit, there's a chance I might lose power.

Awesome game with Gardner. I thought it was over when I threw an interception with 1:30 left in the game and was losing by a point.
My defense made the stand and I got the ball back, drove down the field and got a touchdown.
I went for 2 at that point, and thought I might actually have the game.
Nope, Gardner drives down the field and scores himself, tying the game.
We go into OT, I get the ball first, score on 2 plays. I kick the extra point.
He gets the ball, scores on a couple of plays. It says he's in field goal formation for the PAT, but I don't trust it. He fakes the field goal, gets the 2 points and wins.
Good times.

Great game. I had lost all confidence in my defense by overtime and decided that the game was ending one way or the other with me having the ball. Great game though, I honestly thought my team was done a couple of times, and thought I had it wrapped up a couple of times. It was quite the emotional ride.
Unless something has changed since last night, we are waiting on Juiced vs Silver, Chazz and Kramer. Kramer is claiming he's not playing NCAA anymore after a game vs the computer in a dynasty with me, him and Markley, but he does this every once in awhile so I expect him to return once he's calmed down. :)

Tulsa takes down rival Oklahoma State 31-14 in a pretty dominant performance. I went up 14-0 on 2 nice scores from Derrick Hall, my halfback, one on a 74 yard pass and the other a 25 yard counter play that had perfect blocking. OSU's first two drives ended when their kicker missed a pair of embarrassingly short FG's... He missed a 22-yarder from the left hash about 4 yards wide right.
They got a long pass TD after I blew my coverage INT hunting and the dork missed the PAT as well, but my now-benched returner fumbled the kick return which got returned for a score and the 2-point conversion tied it.
Shavodrick Beaver drove me down the field in the two-minute drill, he's become a huge asset to my team and finished 18-27 for 336 yards with 2 TD's and no picks. Made it 21-14 at the half and I got the ball again to start the third quarter. Beaver and the passing game set up a wildcat run from 6 yards out by Ja'Terian Douglas, who shed 2 tackles on the way.
The 4th was a lot of clock grinding, and Oklahoma State seemed to concede the game, punting on 4th down with 2 minutes left. I had a chance to pad the lead after their returner fumbled a punt with time running out, but I just had DeWitt Jennings hit the deck and stayed classy.
In short, the Tulsa campus has all caught the "Beaver Fever" and it's looking like a good year!

Great game last night Gardner. I look forward to playing the game again next season. I can't believe the turnovers I had, just some bad looks I was getting and trying to force something. You took me out of my eliminate right off the first possession when you kept bringing your right DE in and killing my QB and RB. Great defense on your part. Also expected the game to be tighter once I forced the first punt but you were able to change your game plan very fast and complete a few deep passes on my over blitz happy defense. I did try sending different packages but you were able to pick me apart.
If I had only no thrown that pick 1 play after recovering that onside kick and I may have been able to come back. I ended up running that hurry up offense during the 4th in an attempt to keep you from changing your line up effectively which did get me 2 extra tds before the game ended.
Either way like I said good game and looking forward to it again.

UNLV picks up the upset over #12 TCU, 48-45, in Fort Worth in a double overtime thriller. In the second overtime, freshman TCU kicker pulled his attempt wide-left, setting up UNLV's Brendon Lamers game winner from 41 yards out. The Rebels struggled defensively and were unable to muster much of a ground attack with senior HB CJ Cox only able to manage 36 yards on 14 carries, but he did add an important TD early in the 2nd half to start the Rebel comeback effort.
UNLV trailed 28-10 at the half. They were able to even the score 31-31 when Taylor Barnhill connected with Branon Babineaux from 30 yards out with 5:09 to play in regulation. TCU looked to have the game won with a go ahead TD run with 48 seconds left. Barnhill however was able to rally the Rebels for the second time this season that they've needed a drive in the final minute to force overtime. This time he connected with Kurt Davis from 46 yds out with only 12 seconds to play to tie the game at 38-38.
In the first overtime, UNLV opened with the Rebel offense stalling until Barnhill connected with Babineaux for his second score. TCU answered to even the score at 45-45. That set-up the double overtime game winner for Lamers.
Sophmore QB Taylor Barnhill and junior WR Branon Babineaux led the Rebel offense in a huge way. Barnhill posted 579 yards passing and 5 TDs with 2 INTs on 26-44 passing. Babineaux hauled in 12 catches for 359 yards and 2 TDs. TCU's defense continuously stacked the line of scrimmage to stop UNLV's pistol run attack, allowing Babineaux to get behind the defense on multiple occasions. Mark Barefield added 5 catches for 77 yards, Trey Mays 4 catches for 64, and Kurt Davis 2 catches for 59 yards and 2 scores.

Another great game between Chazz and I, this one with me coming out on the winning end 45-39. The last play of the third quarter was the pivotal play of the game- I'd just taken a 38-31 lead and a QB option pitch sailed past the back. His halfback and my free safety went on a mad scramble for the ball, and my guy managed to pick it up.
Beaver Fever continued as Shavodrick went 18-24 with over 300 yards and 3 TDs, and Genesis Cole had a great game himself, hauling in 10 passes for 185 and a TD. I'm pretty sure we're going play again next year, which would give me a chance to even it up with Chazz 2-2 lifetime.

Beaver is incredible, I'd put him up there with any of the QB's I've had in solo dynasties or the long one I had going with a friend of mine. His arm is only an 86 THP 87 ACC but he puts the ball where it needs to be 95% of the time.
Special teams is definitely where my team needs to improve right now. My kick returner lost his job because that was his 2nd fumble in 2 games, I have nobody who can send a kickoff deep, and don't even get me started on that punt return. I had the quarter formation out because I wasn't entirely sure you'd punt, and after I moved one guy off the cursor at the 4, some other idiot came over and tried to field it, and he ended up muffing it. Not sure why the play got blown dead after that, that was really weird.
But anyway, yeah it's always fun to play vs. you and Gardner too. We're all kind of near the same ability level, even though Gardner seems to have my number.

I was actually considering restarting at that point...
The thing is, on the play he got injured, I'm not even sure if he got hit. I think it was the failed 4th down conversion where the pass just went into the middle of nowhere, not sure.

Tulsa avenges a loss to rival Houston last year with a 52-21 blowout win.
Shavodrick Beaver was nearly perfect, going 15 of 16 for 313 yards and 4 TDs, with his only incompletion being a pass that dinged off the tight end's hands and was intercepted. He got to sit for the whole 2nd half.

Chazz, let me know when you might be available this week. I think I'll probably be around most evenings this week (5:30pm-10'ish eastern).

Despite an abysmal 4 turnovers, the Temple Owls barely scrape by taking the game in OT 28-21.
Ahkeem Smith, who for the most part has been able to hold onto the ball fine managed to fumble 3 times, but still accounted for 119 yards and a TD.
Connor Reilly, who initially lost his starting QB job to begin the year, puts together another solid performance to prove that he is in fact the choice for the Owls this year.

Hey guys i regret to inform you this but I need to resign for a little bit. I will continue to watch and keep up, but I don't have the time right now. With my wife's school and work, our kid, and my recent promotion at my work I just don't have time to play.
Plus my little brother doesn't give up the controller.
I apologize and if it continues I will try to join later down the road.

Gator, I just put you on auto-pilot, feel free to pop in whenever. Seemed fairly pointless to remove you at the moment, since we don't exactly have people looking to join at this point. :)
UNLV defeats Nevada 34-14 in the Battle for Nevada. Although the victory could have been costly, as the Rebels lost starting HB CJ Cox for 3 weeks with a pectoral strain and starting OLB freshman Brian Warren. One bright spot in the injury news was the performance of senior HB Imari Thompson in relief of Cox putting together 12 carries for 71 yards and a TD. QB Taylor Barnhill put together another solid effort going 16-23 for 263 yards and 3 TDs with 1 INT.
Machine, do you know what's up with SilverVelocity? He didn't play his game last week, and hasn't yet this week either.

Tulsa beats up on a weak Rice defense, winning 56-21. Rice's run game and big play passing helped them move the ball and stay competitive into the 3rd, but aside from 1 nice INT by them and a drop Shavodrick Beaver was again perfect, going 17 for 19 with 4 TD passes. Derrick Hall even got 100 yards rushing thanks to a long TD run on the first play from scrimmage.

Injury-plagued Tulsa drops its first decision of the season 21-17 to a game SMU team. Star QB Shavodrick Beaver was injured last week and watched freshman QB Steve Gray operate the offense. Gray was spotty at best, throwing 2 INTs.
Also contributing to the Hurricane's injury woes was the loss of HB Derrick Hall early in the 3rd quarter, bringing Tulsa down to their 3rd string HB, QB convert Kalen Henderson. Henderson lost a fumble on his only carry and did not travel back to Tulsa with the team.
SMU took a 14-3 lead into the half as Gray struggled mightily with his accuracy, but Tulsa drove the ball down the field to open the 3rd and Gray connected with Freeman Kelley on a pretty 35-yard TD bomb. SMU answered back on Darryl Fields' 3rd TD run of the game, a reflection of their effective ground game.
The Mustangs appeared to have the game in hand after stopping the Hurricane on 4th down on their next drive, but CB Tony Peoples recovered a fumble and took it back to the house to make it 21-17.
That would conclude the scoring as Tulsa forced an SMU punt, which was followed by Henderson's blunder. SMU chewed the clock and got down to the 5 yard line for a 4th and 2 play. Tony Peoples came up huge again, bringing SMU runner Zach Line down inches short of the conversion and giving Tulsa one last chance to go 95 yards in 1:33 for the win.
A nice pass to a streaking Freeman Kelley got much of the yardage, and another first down brought the ball to the 16 with 33 ticks left on the clock. Gray dropped back and looked for TE Michael Britton in the endzone, but threw it just a bit inside and was intercepted.

The no-names carry Tulsa past rival UTEP 42-22, as several players who were getting their first on-field action contributed.
At the Quarterback position, 4 different players threw passes in Shavodrick Beaver's absence, in large part to Freshman QB Steve Gray's 3 INT outing. The other goat from last week, Kalen Henderson, threw two nice passes from the Wildcat formation, showing his roots as a QB before having his position changed. Henderson was ineffective on the ground though, with only 22 yards on 7 carries, which has Tulsa's coaching staff pondering a move back to QB. The 3rd man to put the ball in the air for the Golden Hurricane was Gray's competitor for time behind Shavodrick Beaver, Jimmy Stuckey. The less said about his accuracy the better, he may not survive the offseason. However, Kyle McKinney showed a nice touch in his first action of the year, throwing a 4th quarter TD pass to ice the game.
Picking up the slack in the backfield with the top 2 backs nursing injuries was JuCo Lee Warren. He scored on his first two runs from scrimmage out of the Wildcat and totaled 114 yards on 5 carries. True Freshman FB Lawrence Nobles also punched in his 2nd Rushing TD of the year.
Tulsa's strongest position is probably WR, and both Freeman Kelley and TE Michael Britton had 5 grabs for 100 yards, with Kelley catching McKinney's TD. Also of note was Jameel Owens, more known for his work punting and kicking off for Tulsa. While Owens actually had a punt blocked for a safety in this game (?! First time that's happened since the old In The Zone for me) he made up for it by catching a TD and sticking 2 punts inside the 10.
On Defense, Tulsa forced 6 fumbles and recovered 3 of them, pairing those with 2 interceptions to widen their lead over the rest of the NCAA in the Takeaways category. Eldon Thompson forced two of the fumbles and Donnell Hawkins made a great leaping INT in coverage.
While the No-Names played well in this week's victory, Tulsa hopes to have all hands on deck for next week's game at the U. Shavodrick Beaver and backup HB Ja Terian Douglas are expected to be game time decisions, but starting HB Derrick Hall should be listed as probable and see action.

I want to give an update on the league status. nouf2008 and markley40 have been unable to log-in to the dynasty this week. I had both of them delete the saved game, and retry. I have tried deleting and reinviting both of them. Neither option has worked. I've even tried inviting Nouf with a different gamertag that he has. Does anyone else have a thought on what the problem might be, or a way to get it working?

I have an idea of what the problem might be- I tried to start an online dynasty based off of this one so I could just play it out on my own as well as in the league, and it tried to invite some of the people over to that one automatically. I sucessfully removed a couple of them- don't remember if it was nouf and Markley but after that it gave me a data error. I didn't think it would corrupt the main file and I'm sorry if it screwed things up.
