My point? In a game in which the goal is to spot the dancing bear, why would you instruct people in the auditorium not to share with others when they see the dancing bear? Hopefully he was the one doing the recruiting now, so that they're set back another few nights, recruitment wise.

I'm just glad it worked out the way it did. A piece of my heart broke a little, by lynching James Bond. But the cult needs to be stopped from spreading.

Though we've still got Bald Assasin running around, and that probably doesn't bode well for us... And the Corleone's should be able to kill again, unless they just happened to make Sweeney Todd/Tha Black Phenom their Don before I killed him (which would be hilarious), so I'm anticipating two night kills. And hopefully zero recruits.

Expect to see me kicking doors in and asking questions, again.

Actually, several times in this topic I've said that Paws has one of the most valuable roles in the game if she is in fact a mason because she can confirm her towness simply by having her partner confirm her. Of course, before she does that she isn't a confirmed townie and has nothing that she can point to in order to prove it. Seems like the ideal scum cover to me...

That said, I think it was a good post all things considered. Please read the past few pages, however. Paws seemed to imply that Rose has some sort of ability just now, but earlier said that she didn't.

Whoever Rose is, is Town, unless she was recruited into the Vampire Cult on Night Five.

They're Lovers.

Let's not out Rose. If scum were interested in taking the gamble of killing off two lover roles by hoping they're suicidal, Jack'd be dead. They're obviously waiting for Rose to surface. Once they know both members of the partnership, they'll be able to work around it, instead of taking the gamble of going through it.

As for the abilities 'lie' you've found Paws in? I had no idea she claimed both of them were vanilla. I could have sworn at some point in time, she was very open that one of them had an ability. Though, if you quote the post where Paws claimed they were both vanilla, there'd be a little bit more to your argument. Though even then, if Paws is a Suicidal Lover Role with whoeveer Rose is, faking not having an ability would have probably been ideal at the time.

I'd say that my general posting style is designed to get under skin/ruffle feathers. While I acknowledge my list get under some people's skin, one of their purposes is actually information sharing.

My list haven't helped the town because no one is using them. Both Astil and hellshock were on them, and they were town harming indy's. I'm giving good information, but very few people are using it.

I think relying on night actions to catch scum is a terrible idea. Most players do that. They are good players and understand how to use the night to their advantage very well.

In pretty much any competitive game I turn it upside down, sideways etc. and try and approach it differently with the idea that I can gain an edge by seeing things in a different light than others.

I'd say that my general posting style is designed to get under skin/ruffle feathers. While I acknowledge my list get under some people's skin, one of their purposes is actually information sharing.

My list haven't helped the town because no one is using them. Both Astil and hellshock were on them, and they were town harming indy's. I'm giving good information, but very few people are using it.

I don't want to sound condescending but I'm thought of pretty highly around here and your playstyle baffles me as I'm sure it does others. I've let you post what you want for a while because I know your intentions are good, but the way you couple it up with blinding arrogance is really unbecoming. You seem to believe you've reinvented mafia playing and you haven't, you just don't understand the errors of what you're doing.

I don't want to have a go at you, because you seem a nice person with wells of enthusiasm. But maybe tone it down and understand a good mafia player shows only what they have to show not what they have.

I've read a lot of games where the town lost precisely because they didn't bring enough aggressiveness to games. I think relying on night actions to catch scum is a terrible idea. Most players do that. They are good players and understand how to use the night to their advantage very well.

But they're missing half the game.

Agreed - as scum in SWM3, that was painful. We had some incredible players on our team and town just murdered us (without even a mislynch, IIRC?)

So, I was reading through the Night Phase Two Write-Up, when I re-realized something. I don't think there was technically a recruit on Night Two. There were two deaths in the write-up, belonging to MLT, and The Shape. MLT was frozen earlier on, by someone with Dialouge matching that of Shape's Dr. Evil, and then splashed/killed by The Two's Judge Doom, but the only other part of the write-up that shows anything kill-worthy is the Bald Assasin and his blades. Obviously though, as the write-up says, the assasin was fought off by a masked man, saving his intended target. So where did The Shape die? I think Masterded targetted him for a recruitment, but since he was scum, Shape died. Usually, the Cult Leader dies when he targets Scum, but I guess in the overall flavor of the game, Dr. Evil VS Supreme Vampire, the vamp's going to win every time. So unless the Vampire Cult started the game with two members, the only other member we should have left is the female recruited on Night Five (Comradebot, SuperOwens, or RebelliousAngel). With the way this last Day Phase went, I'd still say SuperOwens is our best bet. But it's obviously still something we'll need to look a little deeper and more thorough into, before reaching any hasty decisions. Let's just hope Masterded didn't start the game with a Minion/Back-Up Recruiter Vampire, or we can expect the cult to continue to grow until we find him/her.

I'd say there's probably only two or three Corleone Family Members left, hopefully only one more Vampire, and that damned 'Agent 47' Indy. That'd put us at, or around, a [3 VS 1 VS 1 VS 13 Set-Up]. If both of the expected night kills (Corleone's and Assasin's) go through, we'll likely be at a [3 VS 1 VS 1 VS 11 Set-Up], which isn't too bad of a position to be in. But again, that's hoping that the Vampire Cult didn't start with two members right off the bat, and that there weren't more than six people in the Corleone Family Alignment, too. If that turns out to be the case, though, we'll have our work even more cut out for us. We'll just say that things could certainly have been worse. We're in fairly good shape, still.

And just out of curiosity, but did we ever figure out the whole MichiganHero/Destiny/Jman2k3/Midnightnick debacle from Night Three? A role cop (read alignment cop) is a traditionally scum role. This has been said many times in this thread. We had one in the last game, iot was MJ. He was scum.

I just looked at the GDS Terms Thread, and you guys went deeper into the Role Cop Ability than I think Neo has ever really cared to have gone. Or at least the Role Cop Roles I've had, or worked with, anyway.

I'm used to the whole 'Getting information on target's ability' or telling physical description of the target and what they're doing, but actually going as far as to get Role-Titles or Alignments? That was either done before I started playing over there, or I just haven't come in to contact with any of the roles, like that.

If the GDS Role-Cops typically have an ability that links directly to role-titles, then yes, I'd say the chances of MNN being scum just raised, significantly. Role-Titles would be definitely helpful for scum to receive, as it may have also hinted at their target's ability. Just can't get over the fact of how bad I was thrown off by you continuing to refer to him as a Role Cop. Turns out, that's technically the correct term over here, on GDS.
