In the 2010 section there is a Changes you make to the default database? thread by Dark Cadence. So i thought it would be interesting to see how people have tweaked the default database after all the years that 2005 has been out.

All i've done with the 2005 game so far was to add my own promotion to the database. TLW Titan League Wrestling a cutting edge company that i've given a nice bank roll to work with and a small amount of prestige due to it's owner and booker. I have added an angle pack off of bobnic (sorry that i can't remember the makers name offhand), to spice up things as well as stealing the idea of a 1v1/2v2 low importance match to run in the main events from a thread in the 2010 section.

I'm tempted to make another one and fill it full of the cream of the crop in the C-Verse. All the top stars from each promotion.

I haven't really tweaked the workers much, though i'm teasing the idea of mainly just opening most of the workers to go where ever they choose to go. I'm not sure how that would effect things. There quite a few people that i would love to grab for my promotion that are location locked. So i might alter that. (i do know that Adam put that in as a code for 2010, but alas i'm currently cash deficient)

So, what have you done to spice up 2005?

All I can think of at the moment (I haven't played '05 since I got '08 & now '10) is that I change Edd Stone from a Spot Monkey to an Entertainer. Mostly this is so that he isn't automatically an Enhancement Talent in NOTBPW, because of their product.

Oh god, quite a bit now I come to think about it!

Added a high National rated SE promotion in the UK and signed all the top guys in the UK & Europe to it on PPA contracts with Jeff Nova as owner. The back-story is that Jeff took all his winnings and sunk it into a massive promotion. With his name value in the UK the promotion is National overnight before even having a show! It always drops to cult within 6 months but its good to have a half decent promotion over there.

Added a second small hybrid promotion (Fight Club:Grapple Canada) in Ontario to be direct competition to 4C.
Also created an Owner: Adam Brindle - 40 - retired strong style worker turned road agent.
a Booker: Mitch Coleman - 35 - rich talented former MMA announcer.
a Colour Commentator: Angel Coleman-Brindle - 27 - Adam's wife, Mitch's sister, worked first as a valet and then as a wrestler (after training from Adam) before retiring from competition when Adam did.
and a Ref: Teddy 'The Law' Johnson - 39 - After getting knocked out by an MMA fighter for declaring a KO in a fight Teddy spent 5 months off recovering. An old friend of Coleman's, Mitch offered him a safer job reffing worked shoot matches instead.

The story goes that after retiring Adam wanted to work as a road agent, but wanted to be his own boss. So Angel talked to Mitch and Mitch had the idea for a worked shoot, wrestling/MMA crossover product. Rather than start fresh Brindle & Coleman approached 4C and offered Troy Winner stupid money to buy the promotion. Winner refused and got quite insulting. So as a big F you to Winner they set up the promotion in Ontario anyway, in direct competition to 4C.
The game starts just as they are trying to sort out their roster, having already locked in Raul Hughes, Buddy Garner, Billy Russell, Willie York & Haruki Kudo (once again Mitch just threw money at them till they signed, helped them relocate to Canada, even paid for Kudo to get some intensive English lessons). They start with $3000000, but with Hughes, Garner & Kudo on $25000 a month and Russell & York on $15000 per month (yes, they all signed initial written deals with a Small promotion  ), also Coleman on £10000 a month to make back the money he's invested, they need that cash to stay afloat in the first few months. They start at 16% pop all across Canada with the MMA crossover scene buzzing about Coleman's new venture. I've personally taken it all the way to International but it never fails to hit regional and I've seen it hit cult once on its own so I'm proud of it :D

Added a few new workers to the UK & Europe as well.

As for game mechanics I've added a few new locations, added various alt pic packs & renders robbed off the forum (cheers guys) so that I can give debuting workers a picture (everyone in my database has a picture too), added some matches (1vs1 brawl, 1vs1 tech, ect). There are a few folk who I have opened up to work in more areas, notabley Glen Ward who, once able to work in Canada, signs 9 out of 10 times for CGC and is in their upper card scene within a year!

There is probably more TBH but I think I may have waffled long enough!!:p
