View Full Version : Adam, maybe something for the next game....

I had an idea Adam. Like stated, maybe something for the next game, I wish that once a move is initiated, instead of a picture, in a window, there would be an animation of the moves being done. Similar to how the moves look in most Wrestling games when you are in the caw section and you are assigning/viewing moves except that it's the said Wrestlers in 3D and your actual Wrestler you created and designed. I think that would have made the gameplay perfect. When I play, like everyone else I suppose, I have to use my imagination of what's happening. Is that something that's within the realm of reality or would it just be too much work.
It's not the same as a normal Wrestling game, but it's more than looking at the (although very well done), still pics and playing the scene in your head. Awaiting feedback, Monk....

It'd be nice down the road to see it, but I think there's more important stuff to be added before having animated moves and CAW.
Like Super Tournaments and perhaps an improved Booker A.I...

That would be nice sometime down the line in the distant future although most sim programs don't emphasize that much detail in graphics yet. Also if Adam includes animating moves against the opponent then he should go for the whole shabang and make the matches play out visually using the wrespi wrestling system which would be cool although I don't expect anything like that anytime soon. If I had to choose a nice graphical addition to WreSpi 2 or the next TEW I would like to see a face editor where you can create your own faces from various head parts.

The visuals, to me at least, matter little. I actually like using the Power of Imagination.
I would have been entirely happy if Mr. Ryland tried something like the moving charcoal paintings in Title Bout Championship Boxing; very snazzy, that. But there's nothing wrong with the route he took.
I think if you put too much into the graphics, you begin taking away from what makes text-based games so special.

Hmmm, I just downloaded that Title Bout Boxing and it's nice as well. I see what you mean with the charcoal graphics. I'm thinking more on the lines of a preview for moves in a Wrestling games CAW. Like I said, I just thought it was a good idea I came up with while playing and looking at the pics. Either way, it's still a great game, Monk....
