Using TEW as a background (loosely), a multiplayer online 3D game, in which you the player can make history in the wrestling industry.

Start out as a wrestler, or an owner/booker of a promotion. The limitation's are endless, as you delve into the mysterious world of wrestling!

Various starting region's, Will you be that next "Legend" or "Icon" in wrestling, or will you make the next "Global" Promotion to compete in the highly competitive world of wrestling?

Player character's will start with a certain amount of point's to apply to various skills. Depending on what kind of player character you will be making (Wrestler, Owner, Booker, and several unnanounced "Character Class's") will determine starting stat's, with additional point's to "specialize" your character.

As you play the game, you will earn experience as well, which will allow your character to "level" up. You will also be able to earn "training" point's, as an alternative to regular experience, to apply to different skills (up to a set maximum), or to learn new skills.

Interested yet?

Ok, hype /off. I was thinking it could be set up like many RGP Online games, in which the "Owner's" would kind of be like guild leader's from other game's. We wouldn't call these guild's, but would be called Promotion's. SO you will be able to join an existing promotion, or make your own promotion. Making your own promotion will be available, but you must meet certain requirement's within a certain amount of time (Example: Have at least 10 member's in your promotion) to keep it going.

You would choose a talent, with many available specialties within that talent. Example's would be the different style's of wrestling, like the Luchadore, or the Entertainment based, etc. Then you would further your development with the way your booked, how much skill you learn from different available stats... Example's are already in TEW, Booking, Mat Work, Brawling, Technical, etc.

As you "work" your way around different promotion's, or improve your own promotion, you will advance in level, as well as have an opportunity to earn experience alternatively for your stats, and improve your base stats.

So many thing's have been going through my mind after a recent thread come up with something similar to this. Bassically, we were talking about using Wrespirit and TEW together, online. Since then, I keep thinking bigger, and out of the box (not just a text game). Last time, the other person involved in the discussion come up with some stuff that would make me think of something else.

If this sound's good so far, feel free to elaborate, add to, take away, change, in any way you think would make it better:-)

Excellent idea.

If there's as much people that play TEW as there is on this game would there be able to have thousands of promotions? It would definetely be fun to go from different promotions and I would expect your character (if your a wrestler) would show up on the Other Workers section if your running a promotion which would let them contact you would there be some kind of chat room thing for Contract Negotiations? This way if you are a wrestler you can choose if it is a good enough deal or not and if it isn't than you can ask the person for more money, guarranteed title shot, etc.

How would the time system work? People need to go forward days when playing but if they do that everyone else would need to also, how about having seperate games where there could be 5 or so promotions and a few hundred wrestlers? This way you could have people around your area and be able to choose an active time where all the promotion owners are always on or mostly on and if the wrestlers are in the time zone that you are than most of the wrestlers would be on at the same time. The way this would work is that people could go forward a day every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, hour, hour and a half, or two hours (chosen by the game starters which brings me to another topic.) You can only choose workers that are currently online to join your promotion and when booking a show, workers currently online are the only ones that can be chosen and they are brought to the results after it is completed immediately to see what matches you were in if you were on the show.

The game starters would be the minimum of 2 promotion owners and the maximum of 10 promotion owners and it cannot be active until a number of workers have joined (based on how many promotions there are.) These people would meet in a chat room channel and let only one person make the game and he has control over the game (data editing, data adding, ect.) Once a worker has joined a game it will have a message pop up in the News section much like as it is when you are getting notified of new workers in TEW.

You would also have the ability to make a booking team out of the workers that joined your promotion (so you could have anyone booking a show for you if they were on your booking team and you gave them the show to book.) When you click on Talk To Booking Team it will go to a chat room where the currently online bookers are there to discuss title changes, who makes what shows, etc. When you click on Talk To Worker you will have an empty chat room where you can invite anyone who is online to join your chat room, this is where you discuss if your planning on making them lose a title, win a title, go up a push, go down a push, and alot more, workers also have the ability to give a discussion request to promotion owners asking if they can chat about a certain topic (you need to give a short explanation of what you need to discuss.) Workers can ask for a release if they are really unhappy or not turn up at some shows which the booker has no control over whether or not you turn up once they are booking the show and if they don't turn up than it will cancel a match and when at the results you will have a certain time limit to give a filler angle or match to fill in the time.

When creating a character whether it be a owner, wrestler, or whatever else is available you must ofcourse fill in the skills and all that stuff but also make a picture for yourself. Making a picture requires you to make a character out of the hair models they have, eyes, nose, and other visible features. The amount of choices available counts on what the game starter chose to upload into the game and he can upload any others at any time that he is online with the data add feature.

Think 3D. I love the enthusiasm (I just remembered this post, and have been unable to log in as my internet has been down for a good while)!

When they make a character, think something like SvsR type of making. I like all the different things, especially the Chat rooms. I was thinking of having a Promotion chat room as well. Probably the best way is through tells for hiring workers. Also, most online games have user friendly chats, where you the player can make your personal chat rooms how you want... Examples would be like having the people on the booking team have their own chat room, and of course the road agents have theirs.

The controll of the matchs would be the wrestlers of course, but having a road agent or two helping out with what they do would be great as well. You could have them job out, make them into the next "Megastar" and what not.

It would be alot of work, and alot of experience to do something like this, but it would be well worth it in the long run. This is totally different then anything I have ever heard of, outside of everyone that plays the game probably has thought how great it would be if perhaps... One day, lol.

People coming into the world would just be people. Remember, no one is going to have any overness at all to start with, so its going to be a jumble to start with. We need to create ways for people to make money, especially the ones that have the intend on owning a Promotion. The promotion owner would not be unlike the "Guild Leaders" in other type of online gaming. They would appoint Bookers and Road Agents (Officers of specific interest). As well as being able to make other jobs as well. How about a finance agent? Things of this sort. These would all be viable jobs, and would make people money. The promotion itself will have to generate income from an NPC population. SO the world would have to be totally full of NPC's already..

What of the PCs that dont wrestle, own a promotion, or in the bussiness at all? Well, maybe we will have things such as Hotdog venders, store owners, different things people can make money with. In the biggest dream of all, people would be able to attend, and actually watch the shows promotions put off. My thought is kind of silly on this, but I was thinking of people being able to play without paying a monthly dues, or a very low monthly dues, but not be allowed to actually be in the bussiness (wrestling bussiness) till becoming a full subscriber. This way they could actually be in other area's of the game world, maybe make a couple bucks to go see a couple of shows and see if they would like to be a part of it... Something like a 30 day trial, for example.

The more PC's that come to an event, the NPC's will have to dissolve... in order to controll lag (especially for the wrestlers). However, maybe we can have options for when the wrestling match is on, where the far clip plane is cut to just the ring area so there is no lag at all for the wrestlers, but the crowd will have that lag instead, lol.

Far as character creation, hopefully it could be really huge, as individuallity is very important. The more options on creation, the less likely any two individuals will look alike.

This game does sound like a pretty cool idea.
