When you ask someone for "advice for my upcoming match", do they ever, under any circumstances, say anything other than "You'll do just fine." When I'm about to have the very first match of my professional career, as a try-out match for a regional promotion, against an upper-midcarder, I think it's a pretty good time for a couple pointers from a main eventer.

Maybe that's just me, though........

It depends on their personality and your relationship. Most workers, as I imagine they are in real life, are professional and nice, and so they will give you some gentle encouragement. If you found someone who is selfish and abrasive, they will probably give you some static.

Yeah, I've had someone say something like "Why should I give you advice?" or something along those lines. It just depends who you talk to. You can generally tell this by asking them how they're doing, if they say "fine, thanks for asking", then they're a nice person, if it's just "fine", then you've got yourself a bad apple.
