I'm 80% finished with an edited pstats.dat file that will have the alignment of 1970.

To accomplish this, I had to delete four teams (all low indies) and move a few teams into conferences in order to get the conference to 8 members. The PCAA, MVC, and Southern conferences are the ones that had to add teams. There are two independent 'conferences'...........Eastern and Southern/Western. This was necessary due to the large number of indies at this time.

15 total bowls are included. I added a tie in for the Ivy, PCAA, Southern, MAC, etc...........in case a conference didnt have a tie in to a bowl in 1970.

Prestige has been edited as follows:
A base line of 30 was established, then for each win in 1970 a club achieved, 5 points were added. After this was done, some teams were edited down. For example, if a Dartmouth club won 8 games, they are not as good as an 8 win Penn State team.

The names portion of the file has been edited to take out the names not commonly used in 1970 such as Jameel, etc.

The bowl structure is as it was in 1970. BBCF doesnt allow a true bowl alignment, so the 1 and 2 teams at season's end will face each other in a championship bowl. Other than that, the bowl tie ins work fine.

Things left to do:
Set colors for about 19 teams.
Find logos/set cities for the teams that are not in D1 presently.

If anyone would like to host this, please let me know.

OK, it MIGHT be possible to have this as it was in 1970 and have no 1 vs 2 matchup at season's end.

Stay tuned!

Arlie's GREAT work to basically mod his game to work with this type of league has worked.

All bowl tie ins work perfectly!

Thanks to you, Arlie!

Its funny--that forum of the board says that Guests can view it.

Can't find anywhere else that says its locked out to non members.
I'll work on it. TF has the file.

Actually, I just logged out and was still able to go to that thread. Maybe its using the link that's the problem.
Try going to our site and then to the forum.

Its in the GenDiscussion area of the forum.

Let me know if that works.
