I just have two requests to make, no rush on them:

1. A guy with a mask like Angel De Mexico's, but with the Canadian Flag design on it. Maybe a thin goatee on him, too.

2. Randy Bumfhole with a cowboy hat and fake moustache.

It would really be awesome to have such renders :)

Hey, I usually go through Sebsplex for renders (I mean, I haven't in the past but goddamn did I like that Cuban render...) but there's something I've been needing for a long time and I can't find anywhere to get it since, as he put it...

Sebsplex doesn't do girls.

Anyhow, I've got a dynasty on the boards - Mark Cuban Does DaVE (hence the Mark Cuban render)... and it's really benefitted a lot from community participation, but there's something I just haven't been able to find.

Bulldozer Brandon Smith plays a pretty All-American sort in my game - but that's not what this is about... He's got a wife, who has up until now existed as an off-camera character - she bakes pies for people, mostly. Can't tell you how many good pie angles there are in teh world - it practically writes itself.

But none of the existing renders that I've found really fit with what I have in mind for her.

"Mrs. Smith", as I'll probably call her, is from Minnesota, just like 'Dozer. She's blonde, blousy, blue-eyed and farmgirl looking. "Farmer's Daughter" is probably about the best distillation I can come up with for her - totally guileless and unmalicious.

Can anyone help me out and/or direct me to a good render, if one already exists?

For me I see Mrs. Smith a cross between a farmer's daughter and a state-known cheerleader almost. But not in a cheerleader outfit!

I did this slight remake a while back - nothing gimmicky about it, just gave him a goatee and slightly shorter hair. You could use him in an ice-man or hard case or similar gimmick with it, I guess. You're welcome to use it, if you want. I actually made it to tag team him with Don Henderson - the Henderson alt actually made it into the official data, but the O'Curle one didn't.

Could I have a new version of Mr. Lucha II?I hate the Swarm gimmack (though the masks look awsome!) and dispite the fiasco that he is I am going to have Mr. Lucha 2 and 3 vs. Phoenix 2 and 3 feeding off of the Swarms vs. Phoenix's. I would like it to be like a red version of Mr. Lucha III preferably but with two bars on the forehead and not three.

I used to have a full ring/arena that I created in Maya, but it got lost in a format and I couldn't bring myself to start over. I'm not much of a 3D artist anyway. Had the same sort of detail level as you with shape and texture, but I think mine was a bit smaller (though that may just be the wrestler models putting a perspective on it)

GFor example: The first one with the little fetish doll and then the second render who's got that Neil gaiman Sandman feel to him...

Mr Lucha III is actually the render we used for the original Mr Lucha (Manuel Prieto ) in the 1975 CVerse Mod. The bars are totally coincidental.

sebsplex did the render. You might want to drop him a PM as I believe he still has the file saved. Maybe he could change the color for you.

Now that I look, it would appear PoserPros has removed the Xena Wrestling set... if so, unless someone knows another place that sells it, it may no longer be available.

As a consolation, wanted to mention to all the guys who render here and didn't know... Daz is having a sale, and almost everything on the site is 50% off. Good chance to pick up the M3 Millenium Beard especially if you don't have it, as it's normally very pricey. :D

(hell, even any worker in general would be a great help already). Perhaps you could contact Optimus, the maker of the world (forgot his real nick :)), and work something out.

The person who made the original CornellVerse renders is Ketseuki Karasu (Blood Raven), but contacting him would be of little help even if we knew how. In one of the saddest stories in rendering history, KK up and quit the hobby entirely after producing the 500 or so pics you and I love... and in doing so, deleted all of the scene files used to make them. Not to mention whatever program he used to make his Lucha masks, which was phenominal.

But I'm sure there are some guys here up to the challenge. I'm far too anal about my work to ever even consider trying to re-make Eisaku Kunomasu (it's a respect thing I guess :D ), and unfortunately am busy enough with WMMA stuff to keep me from doing TEW renders for a while...

If you're looking for quality though, I can assure you this is the right place. These guys will take good care of you if one decides to take on the task!

The hair is the Wild and Messy hair from Daz Studio... Its supposed to be used for V3 or Stephanie Petite but I made it work for him.

I have a challenge (Well, only to cover a request) to make. If anybody had the time, patience, skill and tools to make me a full body render of Sam Strong I would be forever grateful. It is for an upcoming diary which also involves Rip Chord (*hint* *hint* *cheap plug* *cheap plug*). So if you wanna have a go at creating a full body shot render of Rip Chord as well, go for it. Although there is a chance that I've already taken care of that.

But nonetheless two full body renders; one of Sam Strong and one of Rip Chord. Hope this will challenge and intrigue at least some of the render people in this thread and I hope you are up for it.

Mickey Smith is a rookie all-rounder who realized early on that his career was going nowhere. Instead of letting himself get lost in the shuffle, he invented a character for himself and donned a mask. As the egomaniacal New Blood, he uses high risk moves and challenges well-respected veterans to face him, claiming his time has come and theirs has passed.

I picture some bizarre mask, maybe something like a comedy/tragedy type thing, but really just do your thing...it'll be great. ;) :)

This has probably been asked before, but with 171 pages to this thread it'd take me the rest of the week to find an answer to my question: What are the rules on using these pictures in mods? There are so many in the Photobucket section that it would be impossible to find out who the creator was without just posting the pictures in question in asking, so should I do that or assume that anything submitted to the thread is all right to use? I don't want to step on anyone's toes here.

I'm not sure why there's nothing in the first post about permission, but here goes. The general rule of thumb is that if you want to use it in a private game, no one really cares. If you want to use it in a diary no one really minds. If you want to use it in a mod, ask our damn permissions first.

I'm the one who updates the photobucket so if you need to know who did what either post the pics you want to use in the thread or PM me about who did them. Alternatively you can download the zip file (http://www.sendspace.com/file/11of2u). It's organized by artist so it's easy enough to find out who did what. It was up to date as of May 30th.

I was going to create a diary out of a scratch fed using these girls. Start at local and build up. But I realized that to add more and more would cost a great deal of money to buy the costumes, props, light sets, etc. I was also gonna have renders of some match's which is why indiviual costumes and such are important.

I dont know. I might give it a try. Still have some more renders I would have to do, and a few more things to buy. We will see.

Do you mean "Wings"? The only Wings (http://www.wings3d.com/) that I know is free 3d modelling software. I've never used it myself but i've seen what others have made with it and it seems to be quite good.

Blender (http://www.blender.org/) is 3d modelling software which is free too. I tried this one myself, the interface wasn't very intuitive (at least on the version I tried) and it ended up being too confusing to use.

Only thing I might change would be to put the Texas flag on his chest and make it a little more notcieable on the CV cut so you can see it in-game.

He's a teenage pretty-boy who wouldn't look out of place in a boyband with longish, floppy hair that's dyed a really bright, neon lime green. His natural hair colour is blonde, so the eyebrows are the right colour. He's a cheerfl, happ-go-luky kinda guy, so it;s be awesome if you could come up with some kinda facial expression to get this across. Hopefully that's not too limiting. The color is due to shadows with the lighting ... that can definitely be fixed. What causes me to wonder, however is what you feel "Japanese skin color" is.

well if you look at characters in the game Tatsuko's got darker skin, as has Hoshino and Gakusha and to a lesser extent Inukai. but if you look at Miwa, Mushashibo, Kunomasu, Nakasawa, Koiso and loads of other characters, their skin isnt much lighter than Caucasian skin. so yeah, Japanese skin USUALLY isnt THAT dark

My rule of thumb is "if it's posted here, by me, it's open for use."

Not a bad idea, but I play the Mexican feds a bunch and I have never seen any unmasked pics outside of the older retired characters like Manuel Prieto.

The problem with real life rendering is that it usually takes an insane amount of time to create a render that decently reflects their real life counterpart. Neither is it particularly enjoyable to do either. The only way I usually end up making them is if I there is one I specifically want to make (I made a Mark Cuban render for Pox's diary) or I render something and accidently find it ressembles someone else, then work from there. There's just no way to justify the amount of time needed to make such an extensive list of real life renders.

To add to the list, below is a render based on an older version of the Undertaker, Sean Connery from about a decade ago and one very loosely based on The Big Show.

Hi! I'm going to make some requests for characters for my upcoming dynasty -- any of these would be appreciated. If not, no big deal -- this is more a "want" thing than a "need" thing!

Johnny Oliver: My user character, a long-time SWF writer. I've been using Rob L. Miskovsky as a placeholder pic, but I definitely want something a little less slick-looking -- a little less "announcer", a little more "writer". Around 40, possibly balding? He'll also be working as an on-screen authority figure.

Diamond Gerry Corbett: A fast-talking middleweight brawler, playing a Fabulous Heel character in a team with Nathaniel Ca$ino.

"Funky President" Maurice Murphy: Another heel character, this one inspired by James Brown. He doesn't have to look like James Brown, but I guess use that as a general guide? Doesn't have to be in great physical condition -- he lacks toughness and stamina. He's a middleweight, though, so don't make him some kind of large fat guy.

The Playmakers (Ballgame and Showtime): Low-level face tag team with a baseball gimmick. Ballgame is a proficient brawler, Showtime is a mediocre technician (but the more charismatic of the two).

Long time lurker here, first time poster. I got this game when it came out. I loved the 2005 version and bought 2007 on it's release date. Just wanted to say that all the work everyone has done in this thread is awesome. It's for sure given me some cool ideas for storylines and characters in my own personal games.

I have a couple of requests if anyone has the time or willingness to do them. First one would be an evil version of Calimari Kid. I want to turn him into Cthulu (not sure how you would spell it :o ). I'm not sure how exactly to explain it, I guess kinda the same stlye mask only instead of him smiling like a goofball, give him a mean sneer. Also change the "UU" on his mask to a "C" or something.

The second request would be for a maskless Plague(Black Eagle to those who don't use CZCW) .

Once again, just if anyone has time, it would be ultra cool! Keep up the great renders folks.

Generally you're okay to use the pictures for your own game or for a diary. Just be aware that quite a few of the pictures will now have made it into the official Cornellverse. Permission will obviously be needed if you want to use any of the renders for mods. I know a few of the renders were done for specific purposes, so if in doubt, PM the renderer and ask personally to be on the safe side. I know I'm okay with people using anything I've done in here (not that there's that many of mine floating about!).

Yeah, I went awol for a while. Anyway, you didn't miss me as sebsplex went mask crazy there for a while! :D I wasn't getting the chance to play TEW so didn't check in much for a couple of months. But I did notice the great work you guys did on the 1975 mod and subsequent entries to the Cornellverse. I'm playing the updated version now and enjoying the few masterpieces of mine that are in there!

Anyway, I'm back! Might give Art Reed a go, although I'm a bit busy getting my ROF diary going at the minute and actually playing the game for once. Seems like the others are busy with Mafia or the MMA rendering these days as well! It's a bit quiet in here...

Hi all,

I'd like to request 2 renders that I need for my Efed personas please.

First, I would like a large (heavyweight) old-looking (40 to 50 years old) hillbilly, rough looking, bearded type person with glee in his eyes. If possible could you put him in a crouch position with a chicken (or some other fowl) by his legs and his arms grabbing at it? I know this is a pretty big ask.

Second request, I need a clown. A bright cheerful, fun-loving clown. Middleweight, big red nose, crazy green hair, lots of face paint. I'd like the clown to be wearing a polka dotted suit (white with green, red, blue, yellow dots). If possible, could you create a face and heel image of the clown from his torso upwards?

Hello everyone!

Wonderful work's been going on in here. I've been working my way through it and enjoying it immensely. The pool of talent here is impressive, to say the least!

It's also inspired me to make a request of my own.

Basically it's for my "User Character" in my diary. While I'm not in a flaming hurry for it, it is for the diary and I've already postponed her costume 'debut'. ;)

So. This is for Karen Sørrenson, aka "Sorely". She's "edging out of the middle of some rough 20s", is I wrote in the diary, and European, though currently Head Booking for Triple-A in the states. Long story. She's a bit on the short side, and while fit she isn't heavily muscled. More trim and athletic. She was, after all, an olympic contender for the Biathlon before she got into wrestling. Oh yeah, and with tousled blonde hair. Typically norse.

She's Norwegian, in fact, and so in the past as well as now, she gets teased about being a "viking woman". The fact she is short(er) and not some Amazon goddess lends umph to the joke. At any rate, she's taken it to heart, and so has designed ring attire that is Modern Wrestling's answer to medieval viking warrior garb. Something with belts and buckles and leather thong wraps and such, you know. As for her 'appearance', I've been using Random Female # 18.

I saw that picture and thought the clothing and style was very cool, and perhaps a good basis for inspiration. I especially like the robe/cloak thing, though I realize the chances of someone having a prop like that readily available are slim to none, and props/clothes are expensive besides!

At any rate, that gives you an idea of what I'm looking for anyway, and I hope that inspires you like it did me! I'm sure whoever takes a stab at this will come up with impressive results regardless. I can do cropping and cutting and such on my own, as I have Corel and have gotten rather handy with it.

These are pretty neat. Did you just edit the face texture? Do you have the mask prop....with similar work you could make some pretty bad-ass lucha or super junior renders.

NordVolf ... that was the closest I could come to "scandinavian" as far as the characters I have for V3 ... I have a ton that are a bit darker in complexion, and more Central/Western European looking ... but Scandinavian was tough. As far as the sword, I threw that in there for effect. I figured you'd be using the headshot mostly ... and the sword can be explained away as plastic or something ...

Sorry this one isn't so great, but his cap is a real pain. I had to have hair covering where his cap was, but he doesn't strike me as having really long hair from his CV picture. If it's not good enough you may need to ask someone to re-render him.

Tell me about it! I just the other night downloaded DAZ Studio (tip of the hat to Undertaker!), and last night started to play with it. Man, what a lot to take into consideration! And a lot to deal with when morphing! And that's without any assets yet! Looks like it'll take me months to get rolling on my own 3Ds. *sigh*

I wasn't so much concerned with her looking exactly Scandinavian, per se, nor with any one exact complexion, but mostly with being cute. I think that Random Female #18 picture just plain spoiled me. :rolleyes:

*chuckles* I remember when I first started writing Sorely's description, before I decided to ask for a render, where Lorna thinks to herself "All she needs now is a helmet, an axe and a shield." Funny you and I were thinking along the same lines! But I decided she would be sans weaponry. Much less to have to hand off to ringside techs anyway... And no helmet! I'm too much a fan of tousled blondeness... :p

As per my diary, yes, I use headshots for the show spots, but when debuting a character, especially their look, I like to use a full-on shot to give people an idea what their outfit is 'really' like. Well, as 'really' as a fictional story can be, anyway. I'm not sure I trust myself to that kind of detailed description, to give the exact picture in my head, without becoming too verbose (I'm bad enough as is!), so I use pictures as a sort of crutch. And yes, I know, getting too descriptive takes away from the reader, as everyone gets an image in their own head they like.

I don't do the full-on picture with the Cornellverse characters since they're already so well known. I just do it for my 'custom' characters. That, and I don't want to hog bandwidth for pictures. I'd rather save it for my verbose text... ;)

And, as per other workers I've highlighted in my diary, I am looking for pretty much a full body picture. I can do cropping and cutting and such on my own, as I have Corel and have gotten rather handy with it.

I think VBigB has once again proven that he is the master of female renders. I saw the first one and thought, "that's awesome".... then I saw the second one and thought, "woah, that's possibly even better".... then I saw the third and thought, "damn, that's even better than the second".... yeah, you get the idea. :D

They're all good, but the second and third renders are simply phenomenal. One of these days VBigB I shall best you at a female render! *shakes fist* ;)

A hopefully quick and easy render request. I have a few pics to kind of base it off of, and here is a description as well.

Black shaved hair that connects to his beard stubble. Dark blue eyes, slight facial scarring. A few tattoos on arms and taped up wrists/hands. This first picture is someone else's poser image which I've used as a place holder. this character looks similar to him.

Thanks :) ! The third would probably be my favorite if it weren't for that darn kink in the loincloth that I couldn't fix. Minor problem but it still anoys me. As for the fourth one I had a couple strands of mangled mesh hair that I had to post work out along the right hand side of the face. I can still tell where it was...damn I hate being a perfectionist, lol.

What really rocks about all the artists, new or older, is the fact that if no where else, everyone gets along, and when someone can help out, it's always appreciated... even if it's not exactly what the doctor ordered. Always a "Thanks, not exactly what I was looking for, but I really appreciate the effort" at the very least, and a "WOW!!! Totally Rocks Dude, THANKS!!" at best!

Between the everyone that does the work, no competition. Everyone love's everyone else's work, and I imagine that being because everyone is always more critical of their own work, then someone else's. THings that maybe I wouldn't see, but YOU would, because you make the render.

Getting back to why I quoted the above, you shouldn't... This thread says "Render" Thread, NOT "DAZ STUDIO" Thread, or "POSER" Thread. It's a render thread, and if you can take something and make it better.... See where I'm going?

I think all the artists on here are great! I've seen some render's that just make my jaw's drop, some that make me laugh, some that are just nice to look at, and it doesn't stop their. I think by far, my favorite's are in the "Off Topic" Thread. Where they can really let down their hair.

I hope my meaning didn't get lost in this big mess I just typed. My point here is that anyone and everyone has talent with something, and if you can put a cowboy hat on this one or that one when needed, so be it!

Good to know - the work that you do with photo impression 4 is very impressive. Coming to the render thread always makes me want to try out different graphics programs - sadly, my results are never up the standard that you guys set.

"Now, I'd love this glove off this one and that arm-piece off that one... But no, I like #2's arm/gloves like that.
"Ok, so I like these boots off this one, maybe the hang-skirt off that one... But no, I like #2's legs and boots and belt as is instead.
"Ok, well, I like this cape, how it drapes more loosely, not windblown... But no, I like how #2's show movement like that...
"Ok, well, I like the pose of this one, nice and strong, but this one's pose is great and authoritative ... But no, I like pose #2. Understated and somehow subtle, just like Sorely would be.
"Ok, thanks for the changes, VBigB!"

If I was going to choose any modifications at all, it would be a little more ambient light or something so the right arm, the one to your left, shows up more in detail, less in shadow. Great effect, and the light is terrific! But I'd like to just see it, even if a little. I have a feeling it's the glove/sleeve from... Well, this one...
But then again, I love the sort of arm/stocking look with the two wrist-belts like #2 has on her left arm. And the light being the way it is, maybe the right is different, maybe not. Fires the imagination, a hint of mystery there. So maybe don't change the lighting...

Whether I can assume this was for me you were talking about or not, no way, man! Next time do it anyway!

First, whether we use it or not, they're great renders, and all input is greatly appreciated! And you never know. Sometimes something hits someone they didn't expect and they end up going, "WOW! I never thought of that! COOL!!!"

Second, even if it's not quite what someone is looking for, you never know what it's going to inspire in someone ELSE! Even though I'm the only one that asked for a norse girl, maybe someone out there may see your picture and be inspired to use it for their game! After all, there's European feds out there in the Cornellverse and beyond!

So don't sell yourself short. Nor the community! Post up, man. And if nothing else, commentary on your work will either reafirm what you're doing right, or someone will comment on something you did wrong that will help the next one be even better!

Like you yourself said, man. This is a great community where everyone's input is appreciated. We're all here to help each other, man.

Yo guys,

Please could someone do me a full body (or upper body and above, whichever's easiest) render of the CornellVerse's Antonio? I use that for one of my created characters, and he best fits.

You can do whatever you want with him creative wise, all he needs is to have this face (attached) (or similar, or a generic Italian face, i'm not too fussed ;)) in 2 different styles.

One being a young 16-20 year old kids face, and one being around about 35-40.

Don't know if either of these are any use to you. If you look carefully, that is Jack Bruce's original picture underneath all that! :)
