I did it....its just a cut from Sd v Raw 08. I have been slowly cutting several of the pics from the game that I have run across (when finished i expect around 40-50 real life workers to possibly us in a C-Verse diary idea I have been planning for a while now)

Mark Smart - I'd like him to look more ****y, almost like AJ Styles pre most recent heel turn. Shorter hair, ****y grin. Maybe a towel around his shoulders or something.

Kashmir Singh - He's under a Shiek gimmik in my fed, so a turban, and maybe an unshaven look ala Rex Reeves.

And Finally...

Velocidad - With a Rey Mysterio style mask.

I believe it's from the Damaged-Freeverse mod, where it's a worker named Eric Baine. Most of the pics in that mod are cuts of renders found on the web, which weren't originally done for TEW. If Marcel doesn't have it for you, I know that I do, so PM me if you still need it.

I used to go through and update with new ones that came up here. If I download whatever is the most new how far back would I be able to go to start updating?

I don't use a free one so I can't really comment. Most people tend to think Gimp is the best free one around. I got a magazine last week in which it recommends Paint.NET (www.getpaint.net) as a more user-friendly option to GIMP, so you might want to try that one. I think it has more of a Windows style interface.

Otherwise all I can suggest is keep your eyes peeled for any freebies on the front of magazines. I just got Serif Page Plus 8 on the magazine I bought, which will be useful to me as I use Page Plus 5 currently for all the newsletters in my diary. I'm sure a magazine will have some kind of imaging software on it sooner rather than later.

Thanks Marcel! If getting rid of the headband does prove too troublesome, maybe just alter the color to a darker one to give it a "grungier" look -- maybe a dark red or something like that. His looks should be based on the Warlord tag team (see my picture if you're a C-verse n00b), only more 'dynamic' (their picture breathes 'slow' every time I see it). His persona and gimmick are a LOT like the Undertaker has been in the E for the last decade and more.

I want to have Danny Patterson be the character as he seems fit for the role, as some of you might agree. :D

So can someone please edit Danny's appearence. Either give him some sort of warlike helmet or a wig. I have no thorough idea of how he should look like, please improvise. :) I'll have him put into a stable with the Darkness bros (Jay and Raul), but plz no hood. :cool:

I have no idea on an unmasked American Elemental. This might be similar to the situation with all of the unmasked Underwater Union pics (I asked for them too, lol), with not enough of his face visible to work from. I would suggest looking for a pic that you like that you could envision being under the mask.

I'm glad brat is doing some render trickery now as well, because there's quite a few requests coming in! Back at work now after the holidays so probably won't be able to get them done quite so fast.

Requests like an unmasked American Elemental are really impossible. Basically that's just a case of - take any render and imagine it's him. We only have the eyes and mouth to go on. Just removing Rick Law's hat was hard enough. Remember - adding something to a worker is much easier than taking something away! :D

Don't forget about JSilver's photobucket account - you can find all the renders from this thread (near enough) in there and many things that get requested could probably be covered by something already done in there. I'm pretty sure the Mikey James one is in there, because JSilver did that one, I think. Underwater Union alts will be there too.

Thanks for the mention Marcel. I just felt that there were way to many requests for only a couple of people to handle, and I kind of enjoy the challenge now and then (as my "trickery" as you put it is still fairly new).
However, if its o.k., I still may ask for a favor now and then that is a little past my skills or outside of my imagination.

Thanks Marcel! The suits are fairly easy to do quickly as long as the original pic isn't too tricky since I saved the png files for the suits. I have to admit though, Big Cat and Greg Guage were a bit tricky as I had to account for Cat's beard and Greg's left hand.

I also remembered someone asking for Harry Wilson "painted up" a while back so i combined the two ideas.......

I was wondering if I could get 3 renders as part of a family. I'm creating a company called the EWE that will be a family operated Sports Entertainment company (much like the WWE) in the cornellverse and was looking for something like this:

Render #1:

Those are great Poison and Bloodstone alternate. I'd like to see Bloodstone with the Panda Markings. I think it would be... odd indeed.

As for Edd Stone, he needs a hint of his old style still, perhaps one or two red tinted 'douchetastic' locks framing his face or up as mini-devil horns or curling down from the peak of his forehead.

I've got like 8 different versions of Edd in the works, there's a few different facial expression and a couple of "trying to piss of Daddy" ones. The way I do things is that I spend an hour or so just throwing stuff everywhere and seeing how it sticks. By the time I get bored of that I usually have about a dozen possibilities, and I just finish off the best ones. Some attempts don't pan out, like Edd Stone with Land Mass's beard. Seemed like it was going well, and then when I finished it was... wrong somehow.

Similarly, I've done a Bloodstone with Panda markings, but it just didn't quite look right. I'll mess with it later.

I don't have Photoshop at the moment. I'm gonna have to whip around the folk's place to pick up the CD. Can't wait until I do though, MS Paint is beginning to get on my tit. I need layers and a transparency function!

If anyone wants to 'team-up' and direct my efforts a bit, or if anyone has any requests, I'll see what I can do. I sorta have a project in my sights, but I'm open to suggestion.

That is a possibility. Unfortunately, unless it is tweaked a bit, Duane Stone's default heel performance rating would make him tank as a heel.

Not all of them need a password, but some of the artists photobucket accounts are set to private and you would need a password to access those.

In many cases, you should ask the artist for permission to use a pic (unless its for a completely private game) as many of the pics were created for use in someone's mod.

The easiest way for you to get the picture you want is to post details here and hope for someone to attempt to create it or maybe post something they already have.

All of that said, leave a few more details with regards to what you are looking for and I might even be able to whip something up for you.

So as my board title here is so quick to point out. I'm a new member to the GDS forums. I've read as many of the rules as possible and mostly lurked and learned for the last few months getting a feel for the forums.

My question is render related. Since I don't have the talent to make them myself, and since I'm running a ficitional promotion with fictional wreslters I obvioulsy don't have pics or renders for them. I've scanned the render thread here for as many of the renders that fit my characters as possible.

Obviously these are works for other people and for other situations. I was wondering if I should get permission from both the creator and the requester of the render to use their work?

Not a problem either way except for the fact that I'm not real sure which renders I got from which guys. So if anybody could tell me the direction I should head with this it'd be great.

I'm currently a few pages into my diary and have refrained from using pics but its getting to the point where pics would help my descriptions of these new characters. So if anybody could get back to me on the right thing to do I'd appreciate it.

The general rule of thumb is that if you want to use it in a private game, no one really cares. If you want to use it in a GDS diary, no one really minds. If you want to use it in a mod, ask our damn permissions first. Anyone wishing to use any of the renders outside of the GDS Community must PM or E-Mail the individual renderers first. We ain't a damn charity over here.

so to answer your question, if you are using it for a private game that is not an EFed or a mod it should be alright, you might still want to PM the person if you still dont feel right. Hope this helps

I'm very slowly working through my "announcer/interviewer" pics, but I'll be more than happy to take a look at the unemployed guys and see if any ideas come up. I already did one new gimmick for a character (the gimmick was nightshadeex's idea) for Mad Dog Mortimer and posted it a few pages back.

I'm slowly, but surely working through trying to create alt pics for announcers with gear (headset or microphone). My plan is to do each worker as they are employed by fed and country by country. Once done with those, I'll take a look at unemployed workers who fit the roles.
