Thanks for the mention Adam. Yeah, I want to tweek the Bernie Evans pic a little.....His original pic was too small for the microphone prop that I have, so I recut the pic and blew it up a bit (too much I see). I'm gonna try to make it better as I finish off the announcers.

In the download file from an earlier post I noticed there was a Robert Oxford pic with an army helmet. To whoever did this, is there any way of using this helmet (or anyone able to an army helmet) on Guide and Scout aka The New Wave to give them a more gimmicky look for the big federations.

Also is there a way to make the pic of Joe Sexy fit more into the way he should look with a name like that. My idea is seeing how something with Jungle Jack hairstyle and possible shirtless. However feel free for anyone to attempt any idea to gimmick him up to have a heart-throb look to him. (also I would rather have this default face used rather than the alternative one that someone created with a bright shirt earlier)

Couldn't quite get the beard spot on with Rich. It's partly his skin tone, partly the head tilt. Remmy looks like I've drawn on him, which I suppose I have. I might put that dude in my pile of guys to work on in the future. Kinda like the Sexy Joe though. Wish I had a pic of Valentine on my computer, wanted to steal with heart-on-face thing.

May do some more, work is piling up though.

Yeah, truthfully I just gave the Sam Keith a very quick attempt and didn't get it quite right....your idea to use Jerry's chin was brilliant. Pics look great!

Nothing I tried with the 5 O'clocl shadow looked right, but I though these came out pretty well with the goatee. I hope they work for you.

Can't really help with Wonder Boy and the Falcons, but I posted a handful of pics used for unmasked Underwater Union pics just a few pages back (these were done by other artists, but I am maintaining a seperate file of alt pics som I have them all in one place).

Announcers are cool. Nice work dude. This guy was a request. I think he's a Wrestling Machine anyway. I accidently chopped off part of his ear and had to redraw it because I can't for the life of me remember the name he goes under in the People folder. Elements of the chin comes courtesy of Dan Stone Jr though.

He sort of matches a Sean McFly I did. I never team those guys up, but... now I can I guess. Good to see someone else trying these (UWFSteele) I tend to steer clear of Jack Bruce because... well he looks hard. All that hair... It's MUCH easier to put features on than to take them off.

The Warlord facepaint was a bit too large to use all of it, but I also thought he might should be similar and not identical (the beard is from Warlord Agony -- amazing how much it makes him look like the other Warlords). I'm still toying with the Murderous Mikey pic.

Just to give you a bit of insight Danny...I can't speak for all of us working on alt pics, but I do not have poser or daz on my computer anymore as I had absolutely no talent for using them. I have never done original renders and I'm not sure about Self or Marcel (you'd have to ask them). If you can find an existing pic that is fairly close and just needs some "post-work", let me know and I'll be happy to see what I can come up with.

Come to think of it, I could use a little post-work done myself, if anyone has the time to spare.

I mainly just need an alternate or two for Sammy Bach. He's one of my favorite CornellVerse characters after all, so I was figuring a few options for him might come in handy. Doesn't have to be much - maybe some cool shades, maybe a different color for his headband or something, I'm mainly just looking for something new and exciting for him is all.

Also, I was thinking of using Flash Savage as a quick aerial babyface in some games, and figured maybe he could go with a new look. I mainly use Flash Savage_alt or Flash Savage_alt3 for his pic in my games, (whichever of those would be easiest to edit), and I was just thinking that he might look better with longer hair.

I have no idea how hard all that might be to do though, my apologies if I'm asking for too much. Just looking for a few more options is all.

Glad you liked Rick Law, I was pretty unsure about it when I went to bed. I'm not a fan of doing ungimmicked pics (something about removing all of the awesome personality that original render guys have put on bothers me) but I seem to have a method down.

I have a list of about a dozen alt request I'm gonna try to do over the weekend, and about a dozen more of my own personal ideas. I'll add the Tim Westybrook to the list, because NOTBPW are 'my boys'. You mean horizontal black stripes over one half of the face, right?

Oh, and DannyDemon, you've got to understand, renders are hard, especially if they're based on real people. Real renders aren't the most fun projects, removing any potential for creativity or switching things on the fly. Be patient, tone things down a bit, and if you don't like the above one, maybe someone will give it another crack at some point.

QUESTION: Does anyone have a spare render that I can use as an Unmasked Panda Mask II? I really only need a head that I can put onto his shoulders, then tweak to have him join Harrison Hash' Panda Cult. I have no idea what he should look like. White. Kinda bland. Preferably something without too much shading/shadows.

I'm feeling out this new program, so maybe it's possible, but I'm not going to try it without a transparency function, I wouldn't be able to make it look good enough.

Have you tried the GIMP? It's pretty much like Photoshop, though there are some differences in terms of features and interface. But otherwise, it's very similar, and I actually like it better than Photoshop. You can get it at gimp.org .

Great stuff IER. Making alt pics really isn't that hard, it just requires patience and the sheer force of will to have a go. I'll probably try GIMP in the future, but honestly even with my 'limited' combination of MSPaint and a bit Photofiltre (for colour balance, rotations and converting to a nice quality jpeg) there are enough alts I can do to keep me busy. It's something for the future.

Ooh, and sebsplex, mind if I steal that guy to try and use for my Panda Mask II thing? It looks really good and if he's not being used for anything else...

It's very possible to make Bulldozer look more pissed off. Change the mouth, move the eyebrows. The angle on the head more make it a little tricky, but I've done it a lot. I'll have a crack when I get some time.

Here's a Big Demonic Problem. Tracy Brendan with a Rock Chick gimmick. Gender Bender/Equality Fighter Sara Marie York (from my What-Was-I-Thinking series) a slightly more fabulous, slightly more heel Grace Harper (I stole your boa, brat) and a Grunt to match a Stink I did earlier.

You know, if I managed to do 5 pics a day, every day, I'd probably get an alt done for most of the characters in the C-Verse by the time TEW08 comes out.

Still loving many of the alts, that Art Reed alt of yours is one of my favorites Marcel, I downloaded it originally just so I could run the Cookie Reed character. Also props to you Trell, your stuff keeps coming on and I'm sure lots of people will be grateful for having a few spot fillers, even if they are unofficial.

Thought I might as well throw this in here. A couple of nights ago, I messed around with making some full(er)body renders for a couple of the C-Verse originals, just from a behind perspective. Basically whilst doing a bit of work adjusting the head, it doesn't take the same labourious amount of time and trying to recreate the whole face and leaves the rest down to creating textures.

You scared me for a second. I've only played TEW once since I changed the program I used to convert things to .jpg, and I didn't use any of my pics there, so I just rushed onto TEW to check them out. Everything works for me.

I can't be sure this is the problem, but go into your people folder and maker sure you saved the pic as a jpg file. In the past, I accidentally saved a pic to my people folder as a gif or bitmap image and of course it wouldnn't show up in game (only jpg files can be used in TEW). If that is not the problem, you may want to ask in the tech forum.

Just a couple of notes for ya Cappy....Paige Croft's pic is almost too much of a closeup to add any clothing that would have a meaningful impact of the picture (I will keep trying though); the second Ronnie Pain pic has a couple of straps added to the bottom of the image (a bit difficult to see) since it almost looks as if I just put a shirt on him. I hope these work for ya...they were fun to make as they were definately original (if not a bit crazy) requests. KEEP THE REQUESTS COMING:D !

I just tested the pics myself in my game and as long as the filename is no longer than Bulldozer Brandon Smith_alt2 (this is 29 characters/spaces and i think the limit is either 30 or 35) there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Not a problem man. I'm kinda noted in mi familia for my screwball sensibility. I'm sure I can come up with more. As for Paige Croft, no worries if she's not too tweakable. Primary reason I mentioned her is because she's noted for being really small and so would fit the jockey gimmick well. If you can think of another chick who's really small and easier to work with, that'll be fine too.

..... However I want them to look more like a tag team. I'm thinking something along the lines of them having matching tracksuit tops in the NOTBPW logo shade of Red (Because the fact that both once worked for NOTBPW is the slightly lame reason for them getting together) and headbands with the name of the team 'Pacific Express'.

Perhaps you could have one of their headbands showing Pacific and the other one's headband showing Express.

I suppose partially the request is due to the fact that no one can take Takemitsu seriously with that fashion disaster of what likes a shirt made out of PVC.

Hey everybody, first time posting on here but I've been read the forums and this thread in particular for a while and I've gotta say the quality of work turned out on here is pretty impressive. All of these alt's are really adding a lot to my games, and I just wanted to say keep up the good work.

Anyways, I've been screwing around with DAZ for about six months now, and I have a bunch of renders of the c-verse guys who were missing them (mostly announcers and refs), as well as some new renders of a few workers and a bunch of other random ones. Not wishing to tread on any toes, but having seen JSilver's excellent Pacific Express work for Tigerkinney, I thought I'd see if I could make Kenko's picture a bit more close-up - I think when you want to tag guys in TEW, they always look better if the pictures are similar not only in what they're wearing, but how much of the box they fill. Sometimes it can make them blurred, but it turned out okay.

Anyways, I've been screwing around with DAZ for about six months now, and I have a bunch of renders of the c-verse guys who were missing them (mostly announcers and refs), as well as some new renders of a few workers and a bunch of other random ones. Just took a quick look (will look at more a bit later) and wanted to compliment your work and also to thank you for sharing these. My philosophy on pics is that unless I make them for a specific mod or someone PM's me with a request for a diary that is supposed to be a surprise, I always want to post what i make just to try and help everyone enjoy the game even more. So cheers to you for sharing these (I may end up asking for permission to use a few to create even more alts).:D

I believe that the more renders we have, the better off we are, That gives adam more choices. :)

I am currently using Daz cause my PC wont work with Poser 7. as far as the more realistic look, I think it might be the Texture that I use, I use the M3 High Res and the D3 High Res for alot of them. You might also want to check out VBigB's Lights that were posted on the TEW05 Render thread. That has helped me alot with making them look better.

Just had a look at these - very impressive. You've definitely improved the likes of Ian Vincible/Cannonball Logan/Jonnie Perez and some Japanese guys with those re-renders. Keep it up!

Awesome work Trell. Gratz on finishing. It was a monumental task, but you can be really proud of yourself. You've earn a treat. Go have a coke.

I've been feeling a little burnt out from doing this, so all I've done so far this week is look through the Pics I've already done, deleting the ones that didn't meet my standards, or just seemed too pointless. For example, I had 12 versions of Harrison Hash, I've cut that down to 6.

I've done most of what I set out to do, there's just like a dozen more workers I have on my list. I aim to have a batch done by the end of the week, more my own stuff than requests. I'll post them when I get a good number done.

I also want to commend Self for all of his alt pic work -- you have done some outstanding work on your own creations as well as requests. It seems that some of the requests have slowed down a bit, but I hope you will still jump in from time to time (we'd all miss your work). I do however understand the burnout, as I went through the same thing and have only just recently gotten excited again (mostly because of some wacky ideas in my brain for some work I will be doing soon).

All-in-all, everyone contributing in here.....KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
