Day Zero

For as long as anyone could remember, this meeting room has been the place for leaders to come together in times of war. Many years have passed since the last time this room found use, but today several people took their spot.

The only spot unfilled stood out at the head of the table. This spot would be filled by the man in charge of bringing these smaller forces together. Would be, if that man were anywhere to be found. The last anyone saw of their leader, he and his personal guard had fallen into an ambush.

As of first light, an army marched toward the northern border of the Southern Lands. By night they would be able to begin their invasion. Border City alone would be no match for the army headed directly for it, and a plan was needed immediately. Of course, desperation often breeds chaos, and chaos isn't very good for planning.

"You have to help."

"We don't have to do anything. You aren't in charge."

The argument would continue around the table, and get nowhere in the process. The Border City Mayor obviously desperate for help in saving his small town and preventing this war from spilling into the Southern Lands. No one else seemed nearly as interested in this strategy, most with comments on it being a waste of troops so early on.

With the slam of his fist, an angry, barrel chested man caught everyone's attention. "EVERYONE SHUT UP! This is getting us nowhere. We need to come together right now, not be at war with each other."

"What would you have us do?" A man snapped back sarcastically.

"We need someone to fill in for our King. Someone we can all agree on to lead us to victory."

"So you want us to sit here and elect a leader? I don't have time for this. My people are going to die!" With that fit of panic behind, the Border City Mayor stormed out of the room, followed by his two closest guards.

The barrel chested man shook his head in disgust before turning his attention back to his peers. "Despite the display of ignorance, he knew what we have to do. Before we can make a move to fight, we need to elect a leader. Send out word to gather anyone and everyone willing to help."

With the decision made, the meeting ended. Just in time to accomplish something before things would get much worse than expected. One after another, each man above a common soldier seemed to vanish into thin air.

"Fools. Almost made this too easy."

With his work done, he appeared before those he felt no need to fear. Adorned in the colors of his homeland, a white and gold trim robe covered his body entirely. He remained motionless and allowed those left to flee and spread word of his sight.

It's basically a bare bones game. There's no research you can do or advantage to be had in game knowledge. It's just, whatever popped into my head while I was typing up roles.

The Nedokius name was used because the game should (If I can write worth a crap this month), feel a lot like a Suikoden world.

And it was the right call. Again, I'm sorry Arrows that you put so much work into this and it never filled up... but that's the risk you run when you run a game this size with a set theme. Heck, DBZ is more popular than Suidoken and that game still took forever to fill up.

And I'm not gonna argue the fact the original game had plenty of fake claiming potential, but... in the end, people still don't want to play a theme they know nothing about, because it really does add alot of extra work at the game.

Really, as a mod you should ask yourself: "Is this theme less popular than DBZ?" If the answer is "yes" or even "it's about the same", then consider making it short form. Original/Barebones themes are where it's at, because it puts everyone on an equal playing field. You know just as much about the game going into it as everyone else. The exception go the Hollywood Horrors and Movieland Massacres... seeing a bunch of movie characters battle for survival is just fun.

You know what's really funny about this, Brother Comradebot? My parents grew up in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee and the last time we were there before my dad passed he drove us around what would have been his path to school. He'd always talked about how it was uphill both ways and no one believed him. But when you actually saw where the path was and the direction he would've had to go, it legitmately was uphill both ways.

Oh and the use of "dickity-three" didn't hurt either. :)

A few complications arose in the Neoseeker Game I was playing and then I chose to leave. Doing so has left me with a considerably large gap in my free time. I tried to fill it with a ton of Fable III, but I can only do that for so long.

A few complications arose in the Neoseeker Game I was playing and then I chose to leave. Doing so has left me with a considerably large gap in my free time. I tried to fill it with a ton of Fable III, but I can only do that for so long.
So this game'll hopefully take up some of that time.

I don't own a 360, nor do I own a PS3. My brother has one and I have played it twice. Once we played gauntlet and the other time I took over for my sis in law to play a game that was something like Champions of Norrath.

Now with that said. I hate the 360 because it's stupidly over priced breaks to much, and looks stupid. :D

Well, yeah. Because the real money is in the software, not the hardware. You sell the platform at a loss because you more than make it up on the margins of game sales and licensing.

But that's kind of irrelevant, to be honest. Whether or not the hardware is priced below cost as a loss leader, it's still the buyer who determines if the price is worth paying. If one person chooses not to buy because the price doesn't equal their perceived value, that's a valid and correct choice for them. If someone else buys because they think the price is good value for the money, that's a valid a correct choice too.

I think the product is poorly made. Xbox was the number one most returned game system due to defect.
