I am with you :)

I am so attached to this mod I won't even buy the new game until it is released. I just can't play TEW any other way.

Ditto. Although there's a couple of other mods coming this time that interest me too....

TEW 08 + DOTT = EFFIN' AMAZING!!!!

Can't wait for the new game, but thinking about passing on it until DOTT is out. Quick question. Will the new workers file include all of the young workers we know and love today? Just the more major ones is mostly all I'm worried about. John Morrison, AJ Styles, The Miz, Ted Dibiase Jr., the Motor City Machine Guns, etc?

I appreciate your taking the time to pass along the comments.

As currently planned, there will be a lot more New Workers than last year. The hope is that more 'future rookies' will inspire long-term games.

I think now that new and exsiting workers are all in the same database is going to do alot of dott. Tag teams, relationships and so forth can now be set up. I for one would love to see a hardy's team in dott or edge and christian.

I have to say I am a little confused by people wanting more current stars in DOTT. Isn't the whole point of DOTT to be a certain era in wrestling? I guess having some more modern workers would make the longevity of the game a little better, but I have to say it's one of the few mods where I have actually played several years into it and not gotten bored.

The idea is that you can keep playing "Several" more years, with "real" world wrestler's, keeping with the emersion into the mod (As you make a totally "new" reality in todays game...). I might want to just start with my own promotion, and start from nothing and see where I end up after a couple decades (for example). When starting with nothing, a Monthly show is ussually the standard if you don't want to go broke (without cheating). With being able to set a time to jump to in the mod (to get to your show quicker), you might get the years to pass kind of quickly now...

I did that a couple times in '07, but always felt compelled to keep trying to get TV Deals, trying to get other wrestler's to sign, etc... to take up the time in between shows. Took quite a while to get through a couple of years, even with only having monthly shows. The new feature's in '08, should speed that part up over 10 fold.

I think there might be an underlying reason besides the longevity of the mod though (for more new workers)... I seen a hint of something in another thread.

Also, there were plenty of people wanting more "New" worker's last year.

EDIT: After all is said and done... If they make a 70's mod, I will do backflips.... Ok, maybe not a backflip, but I'll stand on my hands and walk around my yard for a few minutes, lol.

There is no question that DOTT is the best TEW MOD, and no offense to the other MODS. FYI, I'm one of those players that either plays out or auto-sims all the way to present day with it, to see how things come out.

I imported it into the trial just to get my fix..hehe..I figured everyone would retire or die since they were so old, but instead Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair had an "A" match...lol..

Whatever D Boon comes up with this year will be great...

I guess it will be a month or so before we can get our hands on it...

Eric, if you want to start hyping up and give us any tidbits, feel free! :p

I did DOTT in the 05 game, but I pretty much played cverse exclusively in 07. With the new regional battle and stuff I am very interested to try out some DOTT for 08
