Here's a few logos that I've "made" in my time. Really, all I did was change the color of one, and kinda mess around with the other, but I kinda like them.

TCW - Pretty much the default logo, I just altered the color a bit.

Those are some awesome logos there - I'm particualrly enamoured with the American Wrestling Alliance, the Big G for Golden, and the Underground Wrestling Union ones.

I use Photoshop 8 (CS1) from Adobe and Paintshop Pro 11 from JASC, neither is free though and aren't cheap.

You could try GIMP. its not as good as the programs listed above but its free and is an upgrade over paint.

For my own personal gratification and amusement, is there any chance I could get a few logos made for me? I'm bringing back a few dead Cornellverse promotions in my own game and hate seeing those pesky question marks in my games :)

Rapid Pro Wrestling - A high flying, entertainment based product with a hint of hardcore thrown in. Fun but now without a dark side too. Just looking at their champs and the face they were competing with DAVE makes me like them.. I might even play as them, they seem kinda cool looking at their champs. :)

Philly Pro Power Wrestling - A kinda traditional promotion but again with a hint of modern and hardcore thrown in. Someone has to be dull in that old war, I see this lot as being solid but not great.

Xtreme Federation of Wrestling - Somewhere between hardcore and garbage wrestling. As subtle as an entire house of bricks to the head and as painful to watch.

Thanks in advance for anything you guys come up with, I'm sure they'll continue to be awesome. Oh, and i you continue to be bored perhaps you could do one for Southern Championship Class Wrestling (SCCW) too. They're Texas based and seem to like brawlers a lot. I'm not planning to use them but I might as well be a completionist while I'm here just in case. :D

The promotion's called 'Chicago Live Action Wrestling', and it's based on a modern, very fast-paced kind of product, with a little of that big city glitz.

The second thing is a bit more complicated and if nobody is willing to try I am completely cool with it. I need a Logo (Fairly decent sized bannerish) for my first PPV March of Champions. I think it would be cool to have a bunch of Soldiers marching in the background of it.

Not sure what the word I want is but something clean and crisp like the GWF one by J-Silver or that JCWA by Wildcat. Maybe clean and crisp isn't the best descriptive words.

I've been editing gbasalmon's new PWMAX logo a bit, (I always see The MAX's colours as being black and white or black and silver, dunno why), and I just wanted to see if I could get the 'Pro Wrestling' part of it fixed. I can't seem to figure it out for myself.

As far as I'm concerned this thread is still active, however it will be at least Monday before I am able to get these done for you guys, I have been swamped at work and just found out this morning that since my co-worker Steve (he's an idiot) decided to *break* his ankle carrying a TV set down three flights of stairs (did I mention he's an idiot? Although its probably just a sprain and he doesn't want to work this weekend) that I now unfortunately have to take a trip to minneapolis this weekend and therefore will be unable to do these by this weekend, as had been my plan.

I appologize to you guys, first for not being able to do these requests for you in my usual brisk manner, and second for ranting about things that have nothing to do with the board.

Not a problem at all as far as I'm concerned. Take as much time as you need as I certainly don't need mine until it's time to release the EffVerse and I'm sure the others don't mind waiting either. You're doing these amazing logos for free afterall.

Is there any chance someone could do a couple of logos for my Street Fighter vs. Cornellverse mod?

I need a CWA (Capcom Wrestling Association) logo, a BWA (Blood Wrestling Alliance) logo, and an HWA (Huge Wrestling Army) logo.

The CWA logo I'd like to just have the "CWA" letters done in the same style and color as the Capcom logo.

The BWA logo would preferably be in white and red with some sort of blood related theme. I don't need the name on the logo, just the letters.

I'm not really sure where to go with this last one, HWA. It's a very stiff, wrestling-as-sport, European promotion, if that's any help.

I use Paintshop Pro and Photoshop, both are pretty pricey but you can find PSP Version 8 for about 100 bucks now and it works just as well as versions 9 and 10.

there is a program thats free called GIMP that is regarded as a definate upgrade over MS Paint, however I'm not exactly sure how good it is as I've never used it.

Gimp seems a bit.... Overwhelming? I don't know exactly the words, but it looks like they've really managed to put just about everything in one program (including animation). I believe it's free as well, but...

Not unlike most freeware stuff (or just plain free), it seems to really need improvements to be more user friendly. I'm sure that the people that made it can get around it easily enough, but when comparing it (at first glance) to PSP or Photoshop, etc... it's at least Looks pretty complicated. The tools are not that easy to find, nor have you a clue if it has it till you really go and look under the different area's for it...

Most of it is drop down style though, so it might be alot easier for someone other then myself to figure it out better, lol.

I think it's worth it, from reading about it (I mean, the time to learn it). I'm going to eventually take a look at the help files and get more aquainted with it, when I have less on my plate.
