Having picked up the 2005 Preview for the AFL today, I noticed that Arena Football was MUCH different then football and could be a really interesting game idea.
One thing I noticed was that there's less players, as the OL and DL are played by the same player, the same with FB/LB and WR/DB (or WR/LB), as well as Offense and Defense specialists.
There's also a bigger emphasis on passing, as the field design makes running outside difficult. Onside kicks are also a vital part.
It'd be an interesting idea for sure... but would it violate that 'no-compete' clause?
