Hello all,

I'm a very simple, beginning game developer, and I was wondering, where do you guys get these models? If I wanted to create characters for one of my games and pose theme for still images, how would I go about doing that? Are these 3d images you guys make part of the original WMMA game? I don't understand how this all works.

Most of us use Daz|Studio (Which is free on the DAZ3d website) and most people get the Michael 4 Base (Most of the morphs and stuff has to be bought) Just take a look at any of My (UFC-KING) Trell, Clarity, Taker and Blasphemywebleed's Renders

Trell, and Clarity use Poser and Daz, but I think they are both over to Daz now

If you want to see what poser can do (however it costs about 250 Bucks) look at any of Sebsplex or JSilver's renders.

I set up all my lighting on my own. I recommend reading some photographers tutorials on 3 point lighting for tips on where to place lighting around your model.

Yep that's one of the best things to do. The same principles hold in rendering.

Nice work Haloed. Try to avoid cutting off the arms on the sides of the images, as I think it looks much better to have the full body visible and only cut at the waist.

Yeah, mainly the top and bottom parts of the tat are an issue for me really, as they're actually four seperate pieces so I could fade them indivually. The whole set probably could've done with a bit more fading though. I think the pink in the top star is part of the problem too, its a bit too bold and makes everything around it look brighter as well. Come to think of it though, I may have just forgotten to drop the opacity on that part. Oh well, I'll keep an eye out for it in the future. :D

These ones are looking much better than your postworked ones. If you do need to dabble in photoshop then concentrate on the subtle changes. Levels, contrast etc.

Much better UFC, I didnt really care to much about the ones where you put a lot of post work into them. I only put 1 thing in post work. and that is Contrast to 40. thats it. but yea much better without the post work. :D
