Yea, the hot pants have Fit To set to Victoria 4, but they don't adjust, just remain too small embedded into V4's hips. The only way I've made them work is to change Fit To to none and scale manually, which is tedious. The rest of Hot Strike clothing works perfectly, so just odd why the hot pants aren't.


I can help you on that. The creator screwed up when he exported and saved the mesh. The default is to fit the "pretty3d" morph for V4 (who the creator also created). If you set that slider for the pretty3d morph in the morphs section to -1.0 (or -100%...I can't completely remember at the moment but I'll look it up when I get the chance) the pants will fit properly.

I did that in photoshop. i just messed with the brightness and contrast till it looked like it came from daz that way. I may have some decent light settings somewhere on my pc if I do I will pm them to you :)

I have tried to make fighters off of a picture and for you to get it takes about 10-20 hours to get it exactly like him then it would take another 4-5 hours to get everything up. so its just not worth doing it in the end :)

Good work everyone.

Thought I'd share this interesting crash I had. I was rendering out this fighter when Daz became unresponsive. As I was working in photoshop and 3ds max at the time I didn't pay too much attention to it. When I finished what I was doing I closed Daz and restarted it. In case the render managed to finish before the crash (average render time is 90 seconds) I saved out the last render and was greeted with this:

Now as far as I can see his left arm has been wrapped around and around his body that its caused that distortion. Strange thing is his left hand was at hip height when I started rendering. Also possibly stranger than that his head seems to have rendered properly but in the original render his eyes are completely open and he isn't smiling. So it looks like the entire left side of his face has been stretched up a bit but has left minimal distortion.

Ah well sorry for boring you. I found it interesting. :p

If you go from the 1st to the 3rd render, you will see that each one looks more worn down.. Was looking to create a fighter whos been around the tracks a few times

Yea, it does seem oversized. It is the hairstyle, not any fitting issue. It isn't so blatantly obvious against a black background. I will see how downsizing the hair looks, as well as tilting the head around to see if I can minimize the oversized effect.

Where do you get your shorts Weidt, They look really good, and I've been too lazy to render lately, I just can't find the passion right now, but when WMMA.2 comes out, I'll probably be back into it

The shorts are from Top Model Kit 3 on Renderosity. The originals were in my first few renders with "Top Model" across the waist. I tweaked the texture in Photoshop removing the text in one version and adding my own "GNP" (Ground N Pound). I keep it simple. One texture is white, one is black and one half white, half black, then I just set a diffuse color for the color.

My only thought is... Are you doing this for the WMMA Clarity? If so, aren't the render's (Very good by the way) a bit big?

He explained in an earlier post that they are only big so he can better postwork them, than he resizes them for the game

I believe his are usually double the size. When I find renders I want to use in my personal games I just open them in photoshop and resize them and save them as a gif.

Cheers guys.. Officially though.. I normally render at 1760x2440 to produce the original image.. Its then postworked, and shrunk to 880x1220 to put up on here.

I then reduce it again and save it to my hard drive for possible inclusion in WMMA2

I'm going to be starting work on the WMMA2 database soon, so if you are planning on submitting stuff for inclusion in the game - and given the high quality of work most of you have put in this thread, hopefully that's almost all of you - please could you zip up your work and send it to my hotmail account over the next week or so. It should be in GIF format and in the appropriate dimensions (same as WMMA1).

For my benefit, it'd be nice if you could put the name you want to be credited under in the e-mail too, even if I've used your stuff before - it just saves me having to remember which screen name belongs to which person.

Just to be clear, this isn't a deadline, I'll still be happy to accept further renders all the way up to a week before the release, it's just that it really helps if I have the majority of renders sent in early so that I can plan out the rosters carefully.

If you have any questions about the above, please PM me rather than posting in the thread, I'll be able to respond quicker.

I've never given Apollo a shot, but with end results like that I may have to try it out. Agree on M4/Hiro. Huge step forward from the previous generation.

Just a little tip for daz users,

I'm not sure if any of you do this, but what I do to reduce the load times for daz (Since M4 takes a while to load up) Create a scene with the default M4 in it, No add-ons or anything, then save the scene, render as you want, then just re-open the scene, which will take loads of time off, and saves time when daz opens up too

New graphics card is in, so I'm back up and running again. A bit of a throwaway render this one, but I thought I should at least use the Dante texture for M2 once (although it's a bit demonic for an MMA fighter really) and test the new card. Sadly managed to crash Poser without saving, so I can't really fix the stretch marks on the tattoo properly.
