A suggestion for a future game would be a broadcasting network game/simulator. As president of one of the four major networks, you must buy shows concept, negotiate contracts with the stars of the successful shows, allocate budget while still make a profit, buy sports events, buy movie rights, buy awards and other special events, deal with egos from producers, stars, and supporting casts who want more attention; all for the rating war.

With a database of a 1000 show or more, and an editor so people can create their own shows and network movies, you hire and fire stars and producers, you move a young successful sitcom from 9:30 to 8:00 on another evening, you shake things up by making changes to the cast, etc. Do you go for shows who are more risky like FOX, or are you more conservative, do you follow the current trend of reality show or do you believe that the trend is nearing its end and you try to start the next trend by being inovative. How do you handle that successful show (ala Seinfeld)? Go for a 10th year? The star is leaving after nince years, the rest of the cast wants to continue, do you change the leading star like X-Files did and That 70s Show will try to do, or do you just end it? Or how do you handle the star of the show (Cheers star becomes Ink star (failed!) then becomes Becker star(success again!)), etc. Of course if ratings plummet, you can get fired! If you do very well, other networks in difficulty might offer you a job with more advantages and power.

I got this idea from playing Adam's last freeware EWR where you had to shop your wrestling show around and I had to decide if my company was ready to move from the "backyard" TV slot to the late evening slot of NBC. Should I request an attempt at making the jump from a 1.20 rating to a 6.50 rating, while I had another show on another network who was maxed in ratings at 3.25, could my other TV show handle the higher ratings?

I like your idea and i think it would be a cool game. but one think i would like to see that you didn't mention is sports. where can have bidding wars with other networks for monday night football. Or where you can say what kind of network you wanna be like if you are all about sports like espn or if you wanna be like a family show like abc family or like a teen show something like mtv or something.
