The ability to make a league from 8 teams to say even a 50 team league(Think a state pro league). Some other league sims are like 16-20 teams. Also the ability to expand or contract if need be.

I hope that multisized leagues make it in as well. That's pretty much a must for me. I've already forgone buying FOF because "32 teams works for football." Please let me find a place for my football fix, Arlie!

I would like to be able to add a team or two and then have an expansion draft.

If this didn't make it, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, however.

Yeah...I like this a lot as well.

But if it proves to be something more difficult to get into the first version, I'd say so long as we can edit the league structure & players easily enough, it could wait til next version...for me anyway.

I agree, this wouldn't be a deal breaker for me either. I'm going to make this the first text based sim I buy on it's first version. But if it isn't included, I'd be a sad panda.

along the lines with this, it'd be pretty cool to change the rules of the game as well. IE: Arena Football, were you can have a 50 yard field, and different time management, people on field being less...

that'd be kinda nice for an online AFL league or whatever you might say.

I think that adding new rules a la allowing the game to play like the CFL or AFL could cause it to behave like Maximum Football. No thanks!

Personally, I want to see support for smaller leagues moreso than bigger. A 12 and 18 team USFL type option would be good, as would the configurations of the NFL in recent years (26, 28, 30, 31, and 32 teams).

I have wanted to play a good football game/sim with smaller leagues for years, but haven't found a descent one. This option is an absolute must!

I'm pretty sure this feature is going to be in the game.

Multiple league sizes will be in this game.

As in you'll be having a set amount of league sizes and we have to pick and choose which?

I don't mind either way since I'll only play this game with the NFL version most likely.

I think it would be neat to make a one team league.

At least the Pro game is being created.

I would like as someone mentioned a 50 team league so it would be nice rather than the usual 30+ teams as in NFL. It makes life too boring.

Year one champions = New England Pats
Year two champions = New England Pats

and so on and on. Too boring.

There over hundreds of big and small cities and towns.

Why not have teams from Chattanooga, Columbus or Phoenix.

Why not have teams such as Michigan wolverines play against Detroit Lions.
Why not have teams such as OK sooners play against NE Pats and see Sooners thrash Pats. Yeah !!! Giant Killers!!!!!

Would the multiple leagues involve relegation and promotions. For example, over a 10 team league playing home and away in a season playing 18 matches total, a team that loses more matches than wins in matches thus getting less points would get relegated to the lower division whereas in the lower division the champions would get promoted to top divisions.

Much like in Football Manager or Championship manager games.

Or would it be like as in Bowl Bound leagues as in PAC 10, Big East....

Oh well, here's to hoping. Would be nice to have a 500 team max in the Pro as Bowl Bound has 300+ teams and College Basketball also have 300+ teams.

Multiple leagues has already been stated as not a feature as far as in the same file.

I think 32 teams is perfect for the NFL, but there should be a Development league just like they do in DraftDay Pro Basketball. I think you should be able to have like 50 teams...but for me, I'd never go more than 32. Having a development league that forms after final cuts have been made, makes the league much more interesting and allows young players to continue to develop as well as old players a place to play when teams have given up on them.

I think 32 teams is perfect for the NFL,Welcome to the boards, Jim Gindin!

but there should be a Development league just like they do in DraftDay Pro Basketball. But the NFL doesn't really have a developmental league. They *had* the World League for a while but that's not around anymore. The closest you have to developmental leagues are the CFL and the AFL and both play with different rules.

Having a development league that forms after final cuts have been made, makes the league much more interesting and allows young players to continue to develop as well as old players a place to play when teams have given up on them.Ideally, I'd like to see an OOTP-type setup where you can have anywhere from 4 to 64 teams. More important IMO than bigger leagues are smaller ones. People like me who want to micromanage entire leagues are probably pretty rare, but those who play multiplayer are not and it's generally a bummer to have a MP league with 12 human owners and 20 computer ones.

Still, at the least I think we should see 12 and 18 team leagues for the other big function that games like this serve: historical replay. How cool would it be to replay a USFL that didn't disband? Well, how cool for me anyway?
