I was wondering if any characters that appear in the CornellVerse with the MMA backgrounds (such as Buddy Garner, Rual Hughes, and half of the Inspire roster) would also show up in in WMMA?

It has been mentioned. Adam said a while back that their careers and history will be added to the database but they would not actually be in the game

Certain people have had renders done for them in the render thread, so it's not unlikely that we'll see a few of them in there - whether it be as active fighters, on hiatus or left the business (if the same terms are used for WMMA).

I really hope that Adam will change his decision on this. I understand that this rule makes it a little bit easier to maintain continuity in both the wrestling Cverse and the MMA "Cverse" but on the other hand the majority of TEW fans would be stoked to have Hughes, Garner et al. compete for their promotions in WMMA, so why deprive them the pleasure? It's totally not uncommon to cross over repeatedly between wrestling and MMA in Japan (Barnett said he'll do a few matches in NJPW, heck Sapp was once stripped of the IWGP title because he lost in MMA to Fujita) so why not here?

I for one would not only like to see all the TEW MMA crossovers in WMMA but also some more guys from Inspire testing the waters in mixed martial arts (Kikkawa, Bingci, Hossam to name a few). So while I respect Adam's decision I really hope that in the end more people will be "dual-game" athletes.

Another option would be for them to be included in the New Fighter section, with a backstory to their return in their profile.

Sapp was stripped of the title because he refused to defend it against Fujita in a wrestling match after his MMA loss.

They'll probably pop up in the workers section under on Hiatus or something.
The big deal to me is, that I hope scouting plays a big role in the game.
