For a new stat idea, how about how well the person's body ages? Like if a person ages extremely well they could be fighting into their 50's or early 60's (those stats are a tad unrealistic, but it's to get an idea across) whereas someone else's body can't withstand the test of time and has to retire at age 40.

Just a thought.

How could you represent that accurately because no-one knows if they're body will age well until it's actually aged?

Maybe a bit like the destiny stat in TEW.

Assuming that the Destiny stat is present in WMMA, the Destiny stat could simulate this - it would obviously be invisible as nobody knows until the fighter has actually aged, as Taker said, but it would still be there. For example, the Destiny stat could decide how vastly a fighter's skills would decrease when their prime has been passed.

EDIT: TEOR beat me too it, I spent too long trying to decide how to word my post. :p

Make the stat invisible when playing the game.

An invisible stat that could start being visible at age 35 or something. There could be a visible degradation score that measured decreased ability. Like me playing softball, and figuring out that it takes more than a week to recover from a tweaked hammy. I KNOW there is a difference. It is easy to feel. And I would not have noticed it at 30, or 32, or maybe 34.

Good points, it does go deeper than the physical rating of each body part. I think it could be useful somehow.

It would be nice if you could actually edit it though. For example, certain people on your roster (especially, say a fictional roster), you might want them to have extended health/not retire till really old. Other's you might want to start impressive and degrade faster, and yet other's possibly be able to just say "random" or something similar on a pull down window.

For someone playing the game, they wouldn't never have to see the stat, or know what it rates, as it doesn't have to be visable during gameplay. In fact, I would really appreciate the stat more if you cannot see it, but you could go into the editor (the mod editor, not the ingame editor), and see where it is.

I would have loved something like this in TEW, even for the "Real Life" Mod's, similating a historical mod, you would find someone like Ric Flair still going strong in 2007 (Playing DOTT or any other historical mod, and he's likely retiring before 2000).

This way you could adjust only the people your really concerned with, and let the AI handle the rest of the worker's.

Editable would be nice, but I'd like to be able to access a kind of personal history on someone at retirement. The retirement summation could list all invisible ratings, just in case you really wanted to know . . . what was his career durability score, or character rating, etc. It could explain the "why" behind his career, and allow those of us who live in the athletic world mostly vicariously anymore, to think about the "what ifs."

destiny stat is actually a great idea imo
