I am putting this thread up a couple of days early so that everyone will have more than ample opportunity to read it before the release. For some reason there is always confusion as to what you are meant to download, so this will hopefully help.
There will be three different downloads available on release day.
1. RETAIL: This is the full installer and contains everything associated with the game, including all the new fighters that have been added since the public beta. This is therefore the largest download. WHO SHOULD DOWNLOAD THIS: Users who want the full game and the most up-to-date database.
2. TRIAL TO RETAIL PATCH: This can only be used by people who already downloaded the public beta \ trial. All it does is install the retail version of the game and the new background screens that are needed to play it. It is a much smaller download than the full retail installer because it does NOT come with the database or fighter pictures. WHO SHOULD DOWNLOAD THIS: Users who want the full game but do not care about getting the extra fighters that have been added.
3. TRIAL: This is used to install the trial; if you already downloaded the public beta \ trial then the only reason you'd need this is if you want to check that errors have been fixed. WHO SHOULD DOWNLOAD THIS: Users who have not yet played WMMA3 and want to try before they buy.
