**A video plays before the main program starts detailing the feuds between John Cena and Randy Orton, Batista and The Great Khali, MVP and Matt Hardy and Umaga, Mr Kennedy and Jeff Hardy. It also details how Triple H and Rey Mysterio are making their long awaited returns**
**Once the video finishes we go into the arena where fireworks fly all around the rafters as Whine Up by Kat De Luna blares out through the speakers**
JR Welcome everybody to Summerslam, coming to you live from the HP Pavillion, San Jose, California. I'm Jim Ross alongside Jerry 'The King' Lawler to bring you the action from the RAW side of proceedings
King Hey, JR, what a great night this promises to be!
JR I'm sure it will be, King, but also with us here tonight, to call the Smackdown action, Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield
Cole Thankyou JR, King, welcome to Summerslam, and welcome to all our fantastic WWE fans, who have filled the arena tonight here in California, and John, some huge matches coming up tonight including the World Heavyweight Championship match between The Great Khali and Batista but coming up first tonight, the United States Title is on the line
JBL Hi there Michael, it's great to be here tonight, I'm really looking forward to our main event but like you say in just a moment we are going to see two of the brightest talents on Smackdown fighting it out for the prestigious United States Title and I'm sure it's going to be one hell of a match
Cole These two men are building quite the rivalry over the United States Title and what a great way to get Summerslam on the roll
**Matt Hardy comes out first to a huge pop from the fans, and he makes hisway to the ring, tagging the fans' hands. It is then the turn of the c0cky, arrogant champion, MVP, to burst through his special MVP inflatable tunnel before posing as fireworks cascade around the Titantron area. MVP walks to the ring, his belt sitting proudly around his waist**

MVP (C) vs Matt Hardy
The bell rings and after a few seconds measuring each other up, the pair start to grapple. Hardy gets the first shot in as he suddenly sends MVP half way across the ring with an armdrag, visibly annoiyng the champ, MVP. This happens a couple more times, resulting in MVP rolling to the outside to think his strategy over.
The match tos and fros for the next few minutes until Hardy again gets the better of his opponent, dropping MVP flat onto his face with a drop toe hold before copying MVP's BALL-IN pose, which clearly irritates the champ, who quickly gets to his feet and moans at the referee.
After around ten minutes of the match Hardy hits MVP with the Side effect before making the cover for a two count. Hardy stalks the champ as he gets up and gets in position for the Twist Of Fate, however MVP pushes Hardy into the ropes and knocks him down with a big boot as he springs back.
MVP gains control of the match, arrogantly swaggering about his business as he picks Hardy apart. He whips Hardy into the corner and nails him with his trademark Running Boot to the face. He grabs Hardy by the hair and hauls him over to the center of he ring where he gets in position for the Playmaker, however he pauses for a few seconds to smugly taunt that he is about to win, allowing Hardy to suddenly reverse and hit MVP with the second Side Effect of the night. As MVP bounces back up, Hardy gets in position for the Twist Of Fate but MVP pushes Hardy into the turnbuckle. Hardy stops his momentum with both hands on the top rope, but MVP follows him into the corner, grabs him and rolls him up before planting both feet on to the middle rope. The referee can't see from his position as he counts the pinfall and Hardy is unable to kick out as the champ retains under dubious circumstances

Cole He's done it again, John, just when he looks beat, he resorts to cheating to keep a hold of his United States Title
JBL Wouldn't you do the same, Michael, if it was the only thing keeping you from losing the championship?
Cole I'm not a wrestler, John, I just call the match and I'm saying that with MVP, it's always the same, he's robbed Matt Hardy of the greatest singles victory of his life
JBL MVP did what he had to do, Michael, get over it already
Cole I should have known what view you would take, JBL. Anyway folks it's over to RAW for our next match, here's good ol' JR and Jerry 'The King' Lawler
JR Thankyou, Michael, MVP there using questionable tactics to retain his United States Title and I would not put it past Cade and Murdoch to do the same thing here tonight as they defend their World Tag Team Championships against the sprightly combination of Paul London and Brian Kendrick, two of the most exciting young superstars in the WWE today
King Are you implying that Cade and Murdoch are going to cheat in this match, JR?
JR Would I allude to such a thing, King?
**The crowd pop as London and Kendrick come out from the back in their matching long baggy shorts and masks before sprinting full pelt at the ring and sliding in. They head for a turnbuckle each, posing for the fans before backflipping into the center of the ring, and removing their masks.
The cheers expectedly turn to boos as the World Tag Team Champions make their way to the ring, pointing at the challengers and telling them there is no way they will take their titles**

Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch (C) vs Paul London & Brian Kendrick
There's a clear contrast of styles here as the brawling tendancies of the champs differs hugely to the aerial, speed based offence of the challengers. And it's the speed of London and Kendrick that wins out at the start of the match as the champs seem unable to cope.
Cade and Murdoch work their way back into the match with their strength and at times easily overpower the challengers, dominating them for a good few minutes, utilising quick tags.
As usual, the match descends into chaos as all four men are in the ring. London Dropkicks Murdoch but is quickly thrown forcefully through the ropes to the outside by Cade who had just knocked Kendrick down with a brutal lothesline. Kendrick tries to fight the pair of them but is served a scolding portion of Sweet and Sour, allowing Cade to make the cover and retain the titles for his team as Murdoch stopped London from getting in to make the save

**We go backstage where Jamie Noble appears to be searching for Hornswoggle with a box of lucky charms. He turns a corner and walks down the corridor where he spots a door with a plaque on the front reading "Hornswoggle"
Noble enters and the screams of half a dozen girls are heard from inside the room. The door opens again and Noble comes running out shouting apologies into the room. Noble picks at the plaque on the door and it comes off easily to reveal "Divas Locker Room" on another plaque. Noble is visibly annoyed and turns around, only to find himself staring face to face with Ron Simmons.
Noble's mouth falls open as he realises what Simmons must think, the ex APA member looking around trying to find the right words........
Simmons DAMN!!!!
Simmons walks off as Noble gets even more frustrated. Noble shouts in the direction that Simmons walked off in
Noble It wasn't what it looks like!
Noble just grits his teeth and walks off as Hornswogle suddenly appears from behind a couple of barrels outside the locker room, laughing heartily at another prank at Noble's expense
King He may not have got his hands on Hornswoggle, but he may have seen more lucky charms than he thought he would tonight!
JR Indeed, King. Folk's it's just about time for our next match of the night, WWE Womens Champion Candice Michelle defends against Melina, and these two ladies have built quite a rivalry over the title, King.
King They sure have, JR, ever since Candice Michelle won the title from Melina at Vengeance a couple of months ago, Melina has focused on nothing but getting the gold back around her waist
JR Well, she's going to get her chance tonight, King

Candice Michelle (C) vs Melina
Both women go at it from the off, with Melina looking almost psychotic at times. Both pick up near pinfalls on a couple of occasions before the match finishes. Candice is in the ascendancy before Melina rakes her eyes and holds her by the neck. Hse lifts her leg up across Candice's shoulder but before she can finish Candice off, the champ pushes Melina's leg down and ducks under an attempted clothesline before springing into the ropes and felling Melina with a Lariat. Candice makes the cover and is overjoyed to hear the bell ring at ringside

**Unfortunately for Candice, any joy she is experiencing is short lived as she is suddenly attacked from behind by....... Victoria!**
JR What the hell?
**Victoria proceeds to beatdown on Candice, absolutely destroying her with vicious kicks and forearms**
King What is the meaning of this? She's going to harm Candice's beautiful looks
JR Remember, King, she beat Torrie Wilson on Friday night on Smackdown to earn the right to move back to RAW and it looks like she's setting about going after the Womens Title already
**Victoria finally ends the misery and lifts Candice up before nailing her with the Widows Peak. Victoria, looks at Candice with a worrying glaze over her eyes before walking to the ropes past a stirring Melina and starting to leave the ring. But she isn't done. Victoria gets back into the ring and grabs Melina by the hair before getting her into position and nailing another Widows Peak. She leaves the ring, walking backwards up the ramp, as she stares back towards the ring almost blankly**
JR She is one scary individual, King
King That is one woman I would not want to get involved with
JR About the only woman, eh King?
**We go backstage into the locker room area where Jeff Hardy is getting ready for his match. His Brother, Matt, walks in**
Jeff Hey Matt
**Jeff stands up and the siblings hug**
Matt Hey Jeff, I just wanted to come and wish you luck tonight
Jeff Thanks man that means a lot, you know I really thought we could both leave here tonight as champions, but I saw how MVP screwed you Bro

**We cut now to Vince McMahon's office where he is sat at his desk, he gets up, looking a little startled as Linda walks in**
Vince Li.. Linda, I didn't expect to see you here tonight, pl.. please sit down
Linda Vince, I'm not stopping. I just came here to say, that if we, as a family, are going to get through our problems we need to have a big talk about what you need to do, what we all need to do, so that we can carry on living as a family. Which is why, Vince, tomorrow night on RAW, yourself, Shane, Stephanie and I are going to stand infront of the RAW fans and address your problems, our problems, in the center of the ring, and maybe, you will see just what you need to do, to rectify things with all of us. Umaga (C) vs Jeff Hardy vs Mr Kennedy
These three have been at each others throats over recent weeks, generally with Jeff Hardy being the brunt of the other pairs attacks. However, perhaps a tad surprisingly, Hardy and Kennedy start the match by doubling up on the champ, a tactic that doesn't really work too well as Umaga has the better of both men.
Kennedy, then lets Umaga and Hardy go at it, saving his energy as he avoids both opponents, merely a bystander as Umaga continues to get the better of Hardy. Kennedy then decides it's time to strike and aims for Umaga, with a volley of forearms to the back of the Samoan Bulldozer which don't do much but irritate the big man. Umaga chucks Kennedy out of the ring with consumate ease. He focuses his attentions back to Hardy, who has sprung up and starts to mount some offence on the champ.
Hardy goes up top and hits Umaga with the Whisper in the Wind, which knocks him to the canvas. Hardy goes back up top but Mr Kennedy jumps onto the ring apron and pushes him off the turnbuckle to the outside mats.
Kennedy and Umaga go at it for a bit with Umaga catching Kennedy right in the jaw with a karate like kick before Hardy makes it back to the ring and the pace quickens as all three men go hell for leather. Kennedy suddenly gets a second wind and somehow lifts Umaga up and plants him with an inring Green Bay Plunge leaving the champ down.
Kennedy goes for the cover...

Jeff Hardy breaks it up and starts brawling with Kennedy. Kennedy plants Hardy with a vicios looking DDT and goes up top!

Todd Ladies and gentlemen please welcome my guest at this time, the man who will face the returning Triple H tonight, King Booker
**The camera pans around to reveal King Booker and Queen Sharmell**
Todd Booker, tonight you take on 'The Game' Triple H, who is returning after an eight month absence and my question for you is whether or not you have what it takes to beat Triple H tonight
Booker Excuse me? Did you just ask me if I have what it takes to beat Triple H? Did you just doubt the ability of the King of the WWE? Todd, I have what it takes to beat every single superstar in the WWE today, and that includes Triple H. Hell, that includes a fully fit Triple H, in his prime, let alone a Triple H who is returning after eight months out through injury. I should slap you down right here, Todd Grisham, for having the impertinance to suggest such a thing to me, but I will save my energy for when I go out there later tonight and slay the imposter to my throne known as Triple H. Tonight, the game will not even get started!
**We go back out into the arena**

**The crowd boo as Chavo Guerrero makes his way to the ringm pointing at them, then at himself as if to signify he will win the following match. He enters the ring and paces about until his music fades out. The crowd go mental as they await the return of...........**
BOOYAKA BOOYAKA
**Rey Mysterio's music sends the fans into further rapture as the entranceway becomes misty. Fireworks bang around the titantron as the mist thickens. The mist appears to be coming from a hole in the floor, and soon the mist starts to blow out in all directions as Rey Mysterio appears, rising up from the floor on a platform to stand at the top of a small ramp just off of the main entrance ramp. Chavo is agitatedly pacing about, and moaning at the referee as Mysterio walks down the ramp, never taking his eyes off Chavo for a second. He enters the ring, an intense stare still transfixed on his opponent, the man who almost ended his career ten months ago**

Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero
The fans are delirious at the first sighting of Mysterio in approximately ten months. Mysterio starts the match somewhat uncharacteristically as he makes an angry beeline for Chavo, a result of ten months pent up aggression, anger and frustration. Chavo looks like he's seen a ghost and quickly makes for the ropes, shouting at the official to make Mysterio back off.
Once Chavo actually allows the match to get going, Mysterio owns Chavo for the first few minutes, Dropkicking Chavo onto the ropes and springing off the other side for a 619 which Chavo is far too aware of and ducks out of the ring.
It's a trend that follows for the rest of the match, with Mysterio bettering his opponent, which frustrates Guerrero. Chavo does manage to finally get in some offence and leaves Rey on his back in the middle of the ring. He goes up top and without pausing flies through the air. Mysterio rolls out of the way and kicks Chavo around his arms, shoulders and legs. Chavo gets up and Mysterio Dropkicks him back onto the ropes and this time nails him with the 619!.
Chavo rolls backwards before getting up only to find Mysterio launching off the top rope to knock him back down with a West Coast Pop. Mysterio grabs Chavo's legs and the referee counts to three as Mysterio is victorious on his return

Cole HES DONE IT! Rey Mysterio has beaten Chavo Guerrero, a match he has been waiting for for almost a year
JBL That was some performance, Michael, to be out for so long, and to then come back and be all over Chavo Guerrero like Rey Mysterio was, is just amazing
**As Rey Mysterio celebrates his victory, dropping to his knees and looking upwards, we fade into a video detailing the recent feud between Kane and Chris Masters. It shows Kane answering a Masterlock Challenge, only to be beaten down by Masters with a steel chair for his troubles. Masters again got one over on the 'Big Red Machine' the following week, getting himself disqualified during their match by landing a low blow on Kane just as he sized Masters up for a Chokeslam.
It then shows how two weeks ago on Smackdown, in a rematch, Masters again came out on top, rolling Kane up and planting his feet on the ropes to gain a cheap win in a match where Kane had dominated.
Finally it shows how on last weeks Smackdown, Kane finally got some retribution by planting Masters with not one, but two huge Chokeslams after Masters' match against Jimmy Wang Yang**

Kane vs Chris Masters
This match provided what everybody wanted to see. Chris Masters get his backside handed to him like never before. Kane is rampant and never lets Masters get out of the blocks in what is possibly Kane's most dominant performance ever.
From huge Uppercuts to Big Boots to running Clotheslines against the turnbuckles, Kane was showing as much intensity as ever. And then, it was time for a steel chair. Kane enters the ring and smashes Masters right across the skull, sending 'The Masterpiece rolling to the outside where he is followed by Kane.
JBL He's going to kill Masters, Michael!
Kane has pulled the top set of steel stairs off the bottom set and is picking it up with a purpose
JBL Masters won't ever look the same!
SMASH. Steel meets skull as Kane drives the steps into the forehead of Masters who flies backwards and onto his front. Kane stares at Masters, laughing
JBL Kane is sick, someone needs to stop this match
Masters gets to his knees
Cole Oh no! blood is literally pouring from Masters head!
Kane tears the top cover away from the Smackdown announce table, making Cole and JBL jump up and back away against the barricades, before proceeding to pull out the tv monitors and throw them to the floor
JBL NO KANE! what are you doing?
Kane grabs Masters by the back of the neck and marches him towards the announce table before grinning as he looks straight into Masters' eyes. His face suddenly changes and he clasps his hand around Masters' throat
Cole Oh my!
Kane lifts Masters up...
Cole Chokeslam through the announce table!
The table collapses as Masters falls right through to the floor to the sickening sound of wood splintering and bones meeting concrete.
Kane immediately drags Masters over towards the ring and somehow lifts his prey up into the ring, despite him now being pretty much adead weight
JBL Just end this Kane!
Kane rolls Masters into the center of the ring and hooks the leg

JBL Thank god this is over, Michael, we need medical help out here for Chris Masters

**The referee holds Kane's hand up in victory as the monster laughs as he stares down at Masters' unmoving body**
Todd Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, he is the WWE Champion, John Cena! John, tonight you defend your WWE Title against Randy Orton, who previously won the World Heavyweight Title right here at Summerslam, and what I would like to know is, John,how do you rate your chances of retaining your title here tonight against 'The Legend Killer'?
Cena Todd, every pay per view it's the same. You ask me whether or not I will retain my title, I make some big speech about how I never back down, never give up and how I've faced dozens of punks like Randy Orton who think they can take a cheap shot at me, get a title shot and just walk away with my WWE Championship. Randy Orton is hungry for my title, no doubt, but I am as ravenous as they come and I will never give up my title without a fight. Sure Orton has done some impressive things since he was announced as the new number one contender. RKO after RKO felled the champion John Cena but Todd, I hate to repeat myself like you clearly did all over that tie you're wearing, but when I say this I want Randy Orton to listen and listen good. I never back down, I never give up, I never shy away from a fight and that is why, Randy Orton, when all is said and done, I will be the one with my title held high proudly proclaiming once again that THE CHAMP IS HEEEEEEEEEEEEREEEEEE!
**We go back out into the arena where King Booker is making his way down to the ring with Queen Sharmell**
JR John Cena is clearly intent on keeping hold of his WWE Title tonight, King
King If John Cena can carry that intensity into the ring tonight, JR, I don't see Randy Orton having a chance but we all know it's a different story in the ring
JR And talking of chances, what those of King Booker tonight defeating the returning Triple H, 'The Game', 'The Cerebral Assasin', 'The King Of Kings', making his first appearance since injuring his right quadriceps muscle in a match teaming with Shawn Michaels against Randy Orton and Edge at the New Years Revolution pay per view at the start of this year
King We all know Triple H by now, JR, and I think the only thing that gives King Booker a chance tonight is whether or not that right leg of Triple H's will hold up
**Booker and Sharmell are now in the ring, pacing about until their music fades out**
JR Well we're about to find out, business is about to pick up folks!
**Booker and Sharmell are left waiting, along with the fans for what seems like an eternity........**

Triple H vs King Booker
The crowd go crazy as the bell rings and Triple H and King Booker lock up in the middle of the ring. The pair release the hold and Booker pushes Trips in he chest. He looks around a little before pushing Booker so hard he falls over, jumping straight back up, his eyes wide in shock.
The pair again lock up before releasing the hold again, this time, for Booker to slap 'The Game' across the face, a move which is immediately answered with a stiff punch, knocking Booker to the mat, holding his jaw. Booker gets up and goes for Trips and the pair exchange punches before Booker gets hold of Triple H's arm and swings him into the ropes, attempting a clothesline which Triple H ducks and catches Booker with a Harley Race like knee on his way back off the ropes.
Triple H again has the better of Booker and after a few more punches goes to whip Booker into the ropes but he counters and whips Trips into them instead. Booker lowers his head, thinking about catching 'The Game' with a backdrop but Trips stops and DDT's Booker, violently in to the canvas.
Sharmell jumps up onto the ropes and distracts the referee who starts telling her to get down, she doesn't listen, but takes notice when Triple H starts walking over to her, and she jumps down off the apron. Trips turns back around while the referee tells Sharmell not to get up on the apron again, giving Booker a split second to poke a thumb into Triple H's eye and gain his first advantage.
Booker follows up the cheap move with a Heel Kick, knocking 'Aitch' down before continuing the momentum for the next couple of minutes with a series of kicks and punches with the odd chop in there as well. Booker then gains a big chance when he hits Trips with the Bookend which Trips kicks out of after two.
Booker waits for HHH to get up and kicks him in the stomach, before springing off the ropes
JR He's looking to end this, King!
Trips lifts his head and Booker misses the Scissors Kick
JR Spinebuster!
Triple H does his trademark pose, flexing his muscles as he widens his mouth like an animal, before walking over to the corner and steadying himself. He walks intently over to Booker and drops a knee right onto Booker's forehead. Booker gets up and HHH sends him backdown with a Facebuster. HHH grabs Bookr and drags him to the middle of the ring.

HHH picks up Booker who rakes Trips' eye for the second time in the night and whips his opponent into the ropes and goes for a clothesline on the way back. HH ducks and nails Booker with another Spinebuster. Booker is slow to get up as HHH stalks him. He finally gets up and HHH grabs him and thrusts his head down between his legs

**We are taken backstage where we see Batista readying himself for his World Heavyweight Title match against The Great Khali. He is talking with 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair**
Flair Batista, I can feel it, tonight you will once again be the World Heavyweight Champion, WOOOOOOOO, and I will be the first one here to congratulate you when you beat The Great Khali tonight
Batista Thankyou Ric, that means alot. Right, well I'm ready, and my match is up next, so Ric..... **Batista holds a hand out, which Flair accepts with a shake** ... Thanks for the support, and I'll see you later, hopefully with the World Title on my shoulder **He says this with a smile showing on his face before he walks off, giving Flair a pat on the shoulder before he goes**

**Flair turns around, only to find himself face to face with Randy Orton**
Orton Hi, Ric. I notice you have no match tonight Ric, trying to have one final moment of glory through Batista? Well it's a shame then, Ric, because tonight, the only ex Evolution member that's going to leave Summerslam with gold around their waist is not going to be Batista, it will be me, 'The Legend Killer' Randy Orton, when I defeat John Cena tonight for the WWE Title
**Orton walks off, as Flair just smiles to himself about Orton's c0cky attitude**
Cole Ladies and gentlemen in just a few moments it is time for our Smackdown main event, The Great Khali will defend his World Heavyweight Title against 'the Animal' Batista. Let's take a look at the rivalry that has grown between these two men over the past months
**A video plays showing Khali beating both Batista and Kane in a triple threat match at The Great American bash, and then the following Friday on Smackdown, during Khali's celebration, how he fended off both Batista and Kane, who attacked him in the ring.
It shows Batista attacking Khali the next week after his match against The Major Brothers, pounding on the champion who managed to get away after a chop to Batista's head, and then later that night, how Teddy Long told Ranjin Singh and Khali that the giant would defend his title at Summerslam against Batista.
It shows how the week following, Batista was layed out with Khali's new Vice Grip after his match against John Morrison and then how nine nights ago, Khali again got the upper hand by attacking Batista and his good friend Ric Flair after their tag match against Morrison and Kenny Dykstra, this time putting Flair out with the ice Grip and Batista with a Tree Slam
And finally, two nights ago on Smackdown, first of all Khali attacked Batista as he was interviewed backstage by Josh Mathews, later on Batista was told not to interfere in Khali's match against Flair, and so attacked the champ as soon as the match ended just as he was about to get Flair's head in a Vice Grip, by nailing him with a Spear. The Spear, though, didn't have the desired effect and Khali again put Batista out with a Vice Grip to show again how dangerous this new move really is**

The Great Khali (C) vs Batista
The match gets underway with the two combatants locking up, only for Khali to push Batista away like a ragdoll, 'The Animal' immediately jumping up with a wide eyed expression. Batista runs at Khali full force, but just bounces off him as Khali gestures for Batista to give it another shot. Batista takes a spring off the ropes and again flies into Khali with little effect, the giant again begging Batista to give it another go. For the third time, Batista springs off the ropes at Khali but this time, the champion uses his own force to knock Batista right down with a clothesline as the California crowd jeer.
The next few minutes sees the pair brawling with Khali enjoying most of the offence, pounding on Batista with punches and forearms to the back. The Khali attack continues until from out of nowhere, Batista hits a huge Spear, to gain some respite, but 'The Animal' is far from able to capitalise as both men stay down for a brief moment. The pair get up and Batista grabs Khali by the head only for the champ to knock his hands away and catch him with a huge Chop!. Batista falls to the mat as Khali lets out a trademark growl as the boos of the crowd grow louder throughout the packed arena.
Khali helps Batista back up and whips him into the turnbuckle, 'The Animal' bouncing back out with a pained expression etched on his face, the force of the whip causing untold agony. Khali whips him into the opposite corner, Batista this time exploding from the turnbuckle and straight through Khali with another Spear before making the cover

Khali kicks out and Batista drags him back up before landing a few solid punches on the champ, who attempts to answer with a right hand of his own, but Batista ducks it and nails Khali with a Spinebuster before making another cover...

Cole What is it going to take for Batista to put Khali away!
Batista gets up and his intensity becomes apparent as he roars and shakes the ropes before turning his focus back to Khali. grabbing him by the hair and forcing him down between his legs. Khali knows what's coming and pulls his head out of the way, Batista goes for a clothesline, Khali ducks and catches Batista with another huge Chop! He immediately picks Batista back up and plants his head between his legs and lifts him up.
Cole Khali is looking to end it!
Khali has Batista up but 'The Animal' starts punching away at Khali's skull and manages to wriggle free of the giant's grip, struggling over his shoulder and amazingly down Khali's back in an attempted roll up normally seen used by the more slightly built wrestlers. Khali is too strong though and as Batista lies underneath Khali, trying desperately to topple him down into a pinfall but Khali merely bends down and with both hands, picks Batista up the the head, turning him around so as to have him in the dreaded Vice Grip from behind
Cole Oh no!
JBL This is the end of Batista, Michael!
Khali has the Vice Grip locked in and Batista's eyes begin to roll ominously into the back of his head. Batista falls to his knees as Khali refuses to weaken the hold, Batista arma dropping limply down by his side, his eyes closing as Khali's hands are the only thing keeping him from falling face first into the canvas. Khali lowers Batista down to the mat, the Vice Grip still applied and as Batista is down on his back, the referee drops to the canvas to make the count

Ladies and gentlemen, we would just like to take this opportunity once again to thank all of our great fans, both here in the arena tonight in California and all our fans watching around the world, as we take you over to JR and 'The King' for the RAW main event
JR Thankyou, Michael, a huge match there from Smackdown for the World Heavyweight Title as Khali retains but the question now, King, is will the WWE Champion John Cena have the same roll of the dice as he takes on 'The Legend Killer' Randy Orton?
King This should be a great match, JR, I've been waiting for this night ever since Orton was announced as the number one contender five weeks ago on RAW. John Cena will have his work cut out tonight, but Randy Orton is going to have to be on the very top of his game tonight if he is to win a world title at Summerslam for the second time in his young career
JR Ladies and gentlemen, lets take a look at the budding rivalry, building between these two huge superstars for the WWE Title
**A video plays showing how on RAW the night after The Great American Bash, Coach explained that he would be watching everyone very closely to see who deserved to be the new number one contender. It shows Orton beating Cody Rhodes in a match before punting the head of Dusty Rhodes, who had come to the ring to protect his son from the same fate. Later that night, Orton interfered in a John Cena vs Cade & Murdoch handicap match, attacking the WWE Champion, revealing himself as the number one contender, dealing the champ an R.K.O before standing over hs victim with the WWE Title in his grasp.
The following week, Orton agan felled the champ with an R.K.O following a six man tag involving both men.
Revenge was had the following week as Cena pinned Orton in a tag match, partnered by Cody Rhodes and Carlito respectively.
Momentum shifted back to Orton two weeks ago when 'The Legend Killer' interfered in John Cena's non title match against Carlito, ultimately causing the champ to lose, before again nailing Cena with his patented R.K.O
And finally, six nights ago on RAW, after the main event match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, Cena stormed the ring, mounting Orton as the pair had a huge brawl. It eventually took eighteen security guards in the ring to quell the fight, the pair still attempting to break free for one last shot at their foe**
JR As you can see there folks, the heated rivalry between these two superstars has escalated with each passing week and I would not be surprised to see things boil over here tonight
King John Cena and Randy Orton hate each other, JR, it's as simple as that, and it should make for one hell of a matchup
**The jeers from the crowd suddenly become deafening as the unmistakable intro of Randy Orton's entrance music cuts through the arena. The arrogant Orton, steps out onto the ramp as a cascade of sparks falls down behind him as he strikes his famous pose. He walks, confidently, down towards the ring, a smug grin across his face, as he ignores the boos and catcalls from the baying fans. He enters the ring and paces about as his music fades out
The crowd start cheering as Orton is made to wait, until eventually, the music of the WWE Champion John Cena blasts out over the P.A system. The crowd erupt, although some jeers are still audible as the controversial champ makes his way through the curtain. Cena bounds about the entrance way, playing to the fans, before making his way to the ring, his eyes focused solely on Randy Orton, who's demeanour has turned slightly towards that of agitation. Cena enters the ring and hands his belt to Mike Chioda who holds it in the air as the pair make their final preperations beforet he match**

John Cena (C) vs Randy Orton
As soon as the bell rings, the pair lock up, both men trying to get the upper hand as they push each other all over the ring, against the ropes, into the turnbuckles, neither man gaining any leverage. The pair break apart and star each other down as they circle each other around the ring once more. Again they lock up, this time Orton gaining the advantage as he gets the champ in a headlock, applying the hold firmly and using his and Cena's own weight to get Cena on his knees.
Orton keeps Cena grounded for the next couple of minutes as he tries to get inside the champs head. Cena manages to lift himself up and break Orton's hold, getting in a couple of punches to Orton's stomach before bouncing off the ropes for an attempted Shoulder Charge, but Orton drops to the mat as the champ flies past him and lands on his front. Orton gets back on top of Cena with a headlock. Again after a minute or so the pair get up to their feet where Cena fights out of the hold and springs off the ropes. He goes for a clothesline, Orton ducks and perfectly nails a Dropkick to Cena's sternum. As soon as Cena hits the deck, Orton is back on top of him pounding away with punches as Cena tries to cover up.
Orton lifts Cena up and catches him with a European Uppercut, followed by another, sending the champ back to the canvas as Orton dominates the opening part of the matchup, as most of the San Jose crowd boo, though cheers are there to be heard aswell. Orton whips Cena into the ropes and the champ explodes into Orton with a Clothesline from out of nowhere. He can't back it up though and soon enough, Orton has Cena down on the mat, and starts to deploy his favoured tactic of stomping all over Cena's various joints and limbs, his wrists, ankles, arms, legs, knees and even a couple of shots to his head as Orton continues to dominate the champion who has yet to get out of the blocks.
A few more minutes pass when Orton whips Cena into the turnbuckle and looks to follow it up but Cena flies out of the corner and nails Orton with a Clothesline of his own, turning the challenger inside out. Cena gains momentum and throws Orton to the outside, following him and stalking him. Orton turns around and as Cena grabs him by the head, Orton pokes him in the eye, before bouncing the champs head off of the steel steps. The referee is counting and Orton heads back into the ring. Cena stumbles up onto the ring apron and starts to get back in between the top two ropes. Orton pushes past the referee and grabs hold of Cena, hitting him across the back with forearms before getting Cena in a headlock and dragging him closer inside the ring, the champs feet resting on the middle rope.
JR DDT off the middle ropes!
King Cena might be out cold, JR, we're about to have a new champion!
Orton goes for the cover

Cena kicks out. Orton again goes for the cover which this time barely reaches the two count. Orton gets back to his business and waits for Cena to get back up, focusing on the champ with an intensity like you've never seen. Cena gets to hs feet and Orton clubs him from behind with a vicious Clothesline to the back of the head. Cena bounces into the turnbuckle and back out to the center of the ring where Orton grabs hold of him and nails him with an Inverted Backbreaker! Orton again goes for the cover which Cena kicks out of, Orton starting to get visibly frustrated as he gets up from the pinning position, staring soullessly at Cena.
Cena starts to try and get to his hands and knees as Orton backs off to the corner
JR NO Orton! not like this!
Orton starts swinging his foot back and forth as he lines himself up with Cena's head. Cena gets to his hands and knees and Orton starts to run at Cena
JR GOD NO Orton!
But Cena catches Orton's foot! Cena stands up still in possession of Orton's leg as he stares at Orton, the adrenaline building up inside the champs body as 'The Legend Killer' looks back, begging Cena to let his leg go. Cena does, but immediately nails Orton with a huge Clothesline. Cena starts to feel it, his demeanour changing as the champ finds a second wind from seemingly nowhere.
Cena grabs Orton and hits him with another Clothesline followed by another before grabbing Orton by the arm and attempting to whip him into the ropes, Orton counters and whips Cena, who springs back off with a Flying Shoulder Block. Orton gets up and Cena springs off the ropes once more before driving Orton's head into the mat with a Running Bulldog. Cena bounces up and stands over Orton, bending down to wave his hand infront of his face as some of the crowd chant "You Can't See Me" whilst a portion jeer. Cena springs off the ropes back over to Orton and stands over him, doing his brief pause to rub his fist across his shoulder before going for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Orton rolls out of he way and Cena punches the mat. Both men get back to their feet

Orton is absolutely distraught, pleading with the Mike Chioda that there is no way Cena just kicked out of the cover. Orton goes back on the offence, grounding the champ for a couple of minutes as he tries to wear him down with a headlock, his legs wrapped around the champs body. Cena gets to his knees, then his feet, and ambles backwards, driving Orton into the turnbuckle. Cena stumbles forward as Orton grimaces in the corner. Cena turns and Orton makes a charge for Cena but the champ ducks a Clothesline. Orton stops and turns around only for Cena to lift him up
JR FU!

King How has Orton kicked out?
Cena is back up and runs his hand over his head in dsbelief. He bends back down to grab Orton by the head...
JR ROLLUP BY ORTON!...
ONE...

THR...
The pair untangle but immediately Cena is back on top of Orton!..
JR STFU!
King I can't take much more, JR!
Cena hast he move locked in as Orton looks to al sides for help from the ropes but he's pretty much central in the ring. Orton's hands move to his head as tries to fight the pain. He looks up and starts trying to crawl towards the ropes. Slowly he moves closer to the ropes as the pain is getting more and more unbearable. He continues dragging himself ever closer and stretches out an arm but he's not close enough as his hands go back to his head, which is now bright red. His right hand goes up, hovering above the canvas as he makes one last effort to get to the ropes
JR How much longer can he hold on?
Orton's hand lowers down.....
and somehow finds the rope with the tips of his fingers!
King He's found the ropes, JR, I don't believe it!
Mike Chioda orders Cena to let go of Orton and the champ releases the hold, rolling back into the middle of the ring, having used up alot of his own energy, aswell as finding it hard to believe Orton hasn't tapped. Orton rolls to the edge of the apron and slowly gets to his feet, bit by bit as Cena mirros him from within the ring. Orton is up and seemingly holding himself up on the ropes as Cena walks towards him and grabs him by the head. Orton knocks his hands away and hans Cena up on the rope sending the champ flying backwards as Orton lands on his feet outside the ring.
Orton gets back into the ring, his face grimacing as he once again stalks the champ. Cena turns around and Orton goes for the R.K.O!
Cena pushes Orton away towards the turnbuckle. Orton stops himself and turns back around to run at Cena, but Cena ducks and lifts him onto his shoulders!....
JR Another FU!
Cena doesn't go for the cover though
King STFU!
JR He's got it locked in again, King!
Cea does indeed have the STFU locked in once more and again right in the middle of the ring as Orton's grimaces in pain, again holding his head in both hands trying to fight through it. His right hand moves from his head and above the mat, hovering, his other hand almost digging into his own skull.
JR IS THIS IT?
Orton can't take anymore and his hand lowers, tapping the mat repeatedly, finally giving up despite a huge effort.
JR HE'S DONE IT, KING! Cena has retained the WWE Title, what a huge effort by both men!

**Cena has finally let go of Orton who lies face down on the canvas, his face scrunched up in agony as Mike Chioda goes over to Cena with the WWE Title, but Cena is worn out. Chioda places the belt in Cena's hands and across his chest as he struggles to find the energy to get back to his feet
He eventually gets up with the aid of the ropes, his face almost a blank nothingness as he seems to fail to comprehend just what he's been through with Orton. He stumbles over to the center of the ring, Orton having now somehow rolled out of the ring, and raises his title in the air, before stumbling back over to the ropes, just about keeping himself from falling back down.
Chioda checks on him and helps him back to the middle of the ring where he raises the champs arm, who raises the belt in his other arm**
JR **His voice now gruff and almost gone** WHAT A NIGHT it's been folks, John Cena retains his WWE Title at Summerslam in one hell of a match, thankyou for joining us on this amazing night, goodnight everybody
**John Cena stands in the corner of the ring, clutching his WWE Title as Summerslam goes off the air**
