I played WMMA1 and WMMA2 more then I should probably admit. Over multiple saves over both games, one thing was always true. Somehow, the game world would find a way to implode. If it wasn't from AI companies booking themselves to death, AI companies not understanding "prospects", or it was renders not being good enough to maintain world credibility. The game world would slowly die.
I haven't played long enough to comment on the first two, but the third I can already tell: Regenerated fighters in WMMA 3 are such a massive improvement it is staggering.
I'm only in 2000 in my current game and I've already seen more good regens then I have in any of my prior WMMA games. Perhaps combined. And even if the fighter isn't great, they generally have some stat or ability that defines them. A poor fighter who never gives up in fights. A kickboxer with a critical weakness to takedowns. Things like that.
Instead of bemoaning every retiring mid/low level fighter I see, I instead cheer it. Because that means another chance at having another great fighter join the game world. For once it's not a bad thing.
