View Full Version : Reduced amount of shows per year that unemployed fighters can work???

I think the opposite should have been done. I think we need MORE fights going on in the game, most promotions have 6 fights every 2 months, and the problem w/ the local shows is that one guy in a region will get 3-4 fights a year while another won't get a single fight for 3 years.
I like to see guys get between 10-0 and 15-0 before they fight someone worth while. UFC doesn't really give too many fighters a shot unless they've racked up a decent record vs easy competition.

When was the last time someone was 15-0 before getting into even a minor promotion.
Quickly, find me someone who has a 15-0 record who hasn't fought in UFC, Strikeforce, Bellator or any of those similar promotions.
Even 10-0 would be rare.

regardless of how often they fight, they are NOT being signed by AI companies. Guys are accumulating 15-0 records against nobodies and reaching low lvl national name value, when guys in high regional companies struggle to make that lvl of name value.
most of the time these guys simply are not good enough to join a company, even with a 15-0 record, hence they stay local fighters forever. on the flip side, i have seen AI companies hire good fighters with 0-0 records as these guys are more beneficial.

Closed; it is unnecessary given that this discussion is already happening in another thread right at the top of the board.

And for reference, the above is wrong anyway - you've misinterpreted what was written. The problem you've just stated is exactly what has been altered - it's the amount of local shows a specific fighter can take part in per year, not the number of shows in total.
