I never once claimed to be individually aligned. I don't know if you've noticed, but someone of my alginment is already dead.

HOWEVER, the exact method DJ is apparently using here is somewhat flawed.

Warring Families, in essence is the same as any mafia game. However, nearly every player is the member of some sort of group that can communicate or otherwise work together. (Masons, Mafia, Cults, etc...) Also, objectives aren't as simple as 1 uninformed majority vs. 1 informed minority with a few individuals and maybe a second or third group thrown in. They'll be 8+ factions, and probably at least half as many different win conditions and goals that bridge alliances and roles and much more! Factions themselves can vary from 2 to X amount of players, and there's no rule against any single entities!

I don't think so on Dudley. But you want a laugh and a half. I might not be the only Brain here. I am the evil one. But there could be a town Brain as well. Brain was the dog from Inspector Gadget and Penny never followed Uncle Gadget without his help. With me here and fellow dog Brian Griffin being in the game, Brain Gadget would be downright trippy.

Well, since you asked... here's what I think.

You ARE several characters. Basic townies with no powers of their own, but it's the simple fact that you essentially represent the ordinary parameters of multiple townies in one. Hence how you can be killed more than once, and your vote carries more weight. I assume it carries less weight each time you're killed, but can't guarantee that.

This day certainly didn't seem too different from most.

This group was a clever one. Wether or not they could trust his claim at all, or anything else he said, they didn't know. That was normal though.

After a horrible night, the sun brought an entirely new hope in what seems to be the recruitment of an unlikely friend, along with many different theories of threats to the town being revealed.

Once again it seemed the concept of an individual being amongst so many groups was thrown out there, and once again that idea was shot down before it could even truly begin. Would they be lucky enough for it to work once again?

You and me both Brudda. DJ's is probably the PM I'm most looking forward to seeing. REI wouldn't have been in half the trouble in ended up in if we hadn't wasted time trying to get him the first couple nights. My gut was to get Demonseed for the way he started the game. Had we he couldn't have outed Monty and the game might have gone in a more entertaining direction.

Alright! Well, since I'm in a particular position, I might as well put my full role out there.

You'd have to be not paying much attention to know who I am by now, I'm Homer Jay Simpson. The reason given for not being able to find my family, entering the game late, and initially not having any abilities, is that I was hung over. Now that 5 days have passed I've sobered up and in quite a funny twist (kudos to MJD!) my ability now is that I'm able to hide out at Moe's Tavern for a night, where I'll be safe from any attackers. The kicker is that unless this game goes on for longer than others, I'll only get to use this once, as the night at Moe's obviously means a lot of drinking, and so I'll be hungover again for another 5 days.

So, because we know who Sideshow Bob is now, and depending on how the mods deal with these things there's a chance he could kill me before Brain kills him, tonight I'm off to Moe's.

Night Phase 6!
For far too long he had sat on his immaculately carved throne and bided his time. The years had passed on, and before he knew it, he was forgotten, relegated to the dustbin of history! Why, even when he tried to get into this convention, a guard had the nerve to ask him for I.D. HIM?!?! I.D!?!?! Didn’t anyone know that evil sorcerers don’t carry wallets?

He cackled at the memory and stood. He employed the mystic power in his staff and opened a portal to take him to the next victim. By the end of the day, that poor girl would know his name!

The watcher took her post once again, but tonight would be a rather dull night. The person inside the home she watched never even so much as opened the door, and no one else bothered coming near the house.

He knew he didn't have much time left, and tonight he was going to make the best of his time left in this world. He knew who he had to take out, and it was personal now. As he approached however, a cold chill ran up his spine. Something told him he was making a bad move tonight, and that he didn't want to go any closer to his chosen target. Following his gut instincts, perhaps tonight wasn't the night. It's not like there weren't more innocents running around ready to die, and he'd find one before this night was over.

Once the lights went out, he wasted little time! They believed him, they thought they could trust him! Well he would show them all that his plans for world domination could include cutting deals with those inferior to him! He nibbled on a piece of cheese and made his way out into the night.

This had been one terrible ordeal! She was finally reunited with her family only to see some of them killed! In times of sorrow many people sometimes fall back on past bad behavior to cope. She didn’t bring her Fallout Boy CDs with her, so instead she decided to stuff her bra once again. She did not know this, but this would save her life! Such was her pain that she went a little overboard with it, and instead of the normal, faux C Cup, by the time she was done, she was a triple Omega cup! Entire forests in Brazil were cut down to provide the necessary amount of padding she needed. And as she finished…

A portal appeared before her, and from the other side stepped a large, muscular man with a serious dermatological issue! With a face like that, maybe he was lonely? The girl huffed and pointed her chest out even more, blotting out the stars. Meanwhile, the evil sorcerer took no heed of this. He was here to kill, and thus, with a hearty yell of, “Die, you chesty wench!” He swung his mighty, mystical staff and landed a solid blow, but it had no effect!

“What is this,” he shouted in anger, “are your massive mammaries immune to my magic?” While he pondered the situation the young girl finally felt just the slightest hint of his strike. She gasped as she falsely assumed that the man was trying to get fresh with her and cop a feel! She began screaming for help! Scared, the sorcerer jumped back into his portal, and he did not bother another soul this night!

The night was drawing to a close and he finally stumbled across someone he believed would be an easy kill. Lunging at them from the darkness, he struck like a coward. The blade of his knife dove into neck of his victim and he took a few steps back with a satisfied grin on his face. He may not have gotten the man he wanted, but he got to feel the rush of killing tonight. Now, to go home.

He finished his piece of cheese and pulled out a lap top. Seeing his target from the safety of a sewer grate, the rodent punch in the coordinates from a GPS tracking satellite and linked them to a Defense Department Super Secret Satellite. From there, it was all rudimentary. The Satellite ejected a small capsule the size of a quarter, and it traveled through the earth’s atmosphere at terminal velocity, locked on to its target. I would hold off on lynching the mouse. He's prooved usefull, and myself, I would only want to lynch him if he wants it. Seems to be a few still running around we need to deal with. If he wants to stick it out, perhaps help us out one more time, we might be able to get the game over faster.

I know this is an odd thing to do. If everyone really thinks about this game though, I can't help but to believe Cappy on his frustration, especially after coming through. I'm willing to "trust" him if he want's to keep going. Perhaps at the end, he might be able to live with the rest of us and actually win with us... Of course, that would depend on his PM, etc. Individuals have been known to be able to live with either though. And as long as he isn't a threat to one of us (with his behaviour changing, I think it might be possible for him NOT to be a threat, as long as he keeps his end of the bargain anyways). Heck, maybe he can win (with us). After his speach the other day, I wouldn't mind that at all.

It will end quicker with you alive actually. We can actually use you to get rid of a non pro-town player during the night, which we can't do without you, thus eliminating a day phase we'd need to lynch someone.

Okay. So here's my impression on the chart we have before us now. Let's start by assuming DJ, Crychon and Imarev fulfill the three question marks. That means we have at best 4 surmised roles between six people. So there are two folks in those second parentheses we have no angle on. I'd be really curious to know who those people are and would like to applaud them from staying under such under deep cover.

Except that leads me to wonder something. When we got the briefing on the Irkens building up to rdsinclair's lynch, there was reference in the quoted material to a couple Martian military leaders who headed the invasion scheme. Considering that what we think we know leaves two holes open, do we really know the Irkens are done for? Could our stragglers be those Irken generals?

Alright, my usefulness has been depleted, so I may as well just let you know. I'm Jonny Quest. And since I haven't exactly had the time/energy for this game lately, I'm no longer particularly concerned about being night killed.

Maybe I'm still behind here, but did anyone figure out the extra killer on Night 5? The one that killed Sylvester seemed to be a one shot ability, but that leaves 4 killers.

Now, we do have the Doombringers, REI, Cold Warriors and Sideshow Bob which could cover those 4 killers, but then what about nights 1, 4 and possibly 6, where there seemed to only be 3 killers?

James Casey come up as a threat last night. I was hoping to get whoever was in it with him, but didn't expect Gonvick to put himself there. In all seriousness, I'm surprised Gonvick is a bad guy.

Imarevenant already laying out the 12 factions, and this one would obviously be number 13 only adds to the guilt here. No mistaken that he is a "single" threat now, as they must belong to one of the factions already in the game.

If Casey came up as a threat, then I guess there's no point in me arguing that the individually aligned Sideshow Bob isn't counted in the 12 "groups"?

Naw... The 12 group thing was just another way of doing this.

Nice game though Gonvick, I really didn't think you were a bad guy till now. I had you on the list as well, but only because I had no idea who you were. I was actually willing to believe you at first, till you said you were with Casey.

To the mods. Although this has been a really weird game, far as well.. Everything, I do want to say that the role's and stuff seem really thought out pretty good. Seems everyone has abilities akin to their character's and such. I have no idea about balance issue's, because I don't know what the final is going to be.... But just in bad guy count alone, already dead, seems fine.


I wanted to especially comment on the last couple of write-ups though. They look non-rushed, and thought out. Very entertaining.

Well, I had to take a shot. Just for the record, I'm not actually aligned with him at all. I had no idea who he was when I claimed him as my partner, although I did suspect he might be the only one left that could be useful to me. I didn't think claiming to be an individual would work any better for me than it did anyone else, so my plan was to pick someone unknown as my partner and hope they were evil and would play along.

If I thought I had a chance to win, I might have done it a little different.
