I think that in the next installment of TEW, there should be some option showing the style in which the announcers announce.
Legit: Call matches like every one is a shoot.
Comedy: Make jokes, not really focusing on the wrestling.
Cult: Joey Styles.
Sports Entertainment: Have clear (usually) preferences in wrestlers; i.e Face for face, heel for heel.
Nothing major really, just adding to the originality of promotions.

I've never really thought about it before, but I like this idea a lot. Sounds pretty good to me.

this would be great, expecially if the workers themselves had values attached to these as well, similar to gimmicks.

Don't you people have some imagination. :p You can't all shape this into options. Adam could make an option on it, but it probably won't affect anything in-game, so why bother. :D

Well it would add depth to the promotion and would keep people from simply hiring the best announcer/commentator available every time as they would now have to put together a commentary team that works well together, have complimentary styles and fit the promotion they work for. Also it would add something to the fan response as well.

I'm not sold on the value of an announcing style, but chemistry (positive or negative) between announcers and color commentators would be great to see. That would solve the problem of gamers always hiring the announcers/commentators with the highest stats.

I thank having at least the chemistry with announcers would be pretty awesome.

It does sound like a good idea. In all the versions of the game I've played announcers can lift the quality of a match or ruin it. If you had someone like Lawler trying to call a real MMA match it probably wouldn't come off well at all. He's a very good color guy on a sports entertainment match though.

The trouble with trying to flesh out the announcers role like this, is that in the C-Verse, there arent that many decent / good announcers and colour comms - so if you start restricting who can work for your promotion style and who has / has not got chemistry with their announcer partner, then you are going to end up struggling to actually get anyone to announce for you!
The ideas are good - but would (imo) only work if a LOT more anns / comms were created.

I disagree. If your announcer and colour commentator had good chemistry it would improve how well they worked. Theoretically this would mean if they had great chemistry and were pretty good they'd be better than if they were both really good and had only neutral chemistry.

You misunderstood the point of my post - if you get the good chemistry - then fantastic - you will obviously keep them together - but if you get bad chemistry, then you would probably want to replace one of them. At the moment there are so few good available announcers that this would prove very tricky. And do you want to hire two average announcers just to hope that they have good chemistry together?

This is a great idea.
