Not sure if this has been covered, but I think it would help give us more choice in matches.

The idea:
For every 5-10 min. in a match you have the option to call a spot. A spot, as most would know, is where a complex part of the match that will take part. This can end a match or help tell a story. Options could be:

Worker 1 dominating.
Worker 2 diminating.
Come back(can't be used for first spot).
Ref bump.
Heelish illegals.
Big move(dive to floor, piledriver...).
Sell injured body part(would give a boost to submission workers, tells a story).
Double clothesline.
Run in(and allow for run-ins to advance the story line! Can't do it in unchained or use a random jobber in written. )
Weapon shot/use.
Move into the crowd
...

Each would give bonuses/negatives depending on product. IE a fed with heavy puro wont want to see a Weapon shot followed by a brawl in the crowd and a run in finish. But a hardcore DAVE/ECW promotion would. Also, spots could be graded based on stats. IE a weapon shot spot would generate a better rating if the attack has good hardcore/stiff skills and the defending worker had good toughness.

I think its fairly balanced...

Man it takes long enough to book the show as it is. If you start setting up how the matches actually work out, it would take forever to book a show and take the fun out of it

It doesn't sound like it adds anything positive to the game, just a lot of superfluous detail. Putting aside the fact that spots outside of the finish and specific high spots would primarily be called by the wrestlers themselves, not the booker, it doesn't appear to offer any sort of challenge - the things to avoid are so obvious that they may as well be sign-posted, and the positives would either be too easy to spot (clearly most matches are going to have comebacks, it's a staple of adding drama) or too hard to judge (how do you decide what a double clothesline does to the rating?)

Would be better to just have a booking note to ask the workers to make the match excessively dramatic. Of course this would only come off properly if the wrestlers were over (for entertainment promotions) and that both workers and the ref had the required skills to make it happen.

Isn't the 'Overbook' note exactly that? Lost of twists, turns, blood, drama, etc...

It really can be whatever you want it to be, whether your fed is hardcore or lucha or SE (probably not pure though) it just means that a ton of stuff goes on. I'm sure you've seen one or two of these where the fight goes out to the crowd and 4 people do run-ins etc. etc.
