I'd like to see a feature that adds a check box to the promotion editor for family ownership.

Basically if the box is checked if the current owner dies or leaves the business the game would check that owner's relationship file and likely promote the most qualified member of that owner's family to be the new owner instead of simply hiring a random owner from the general pool. If no family member is available it would select an owner the way it currently does.

It could also be broken down further to determine whether that hire would be made based on the most qualified member of the family or the most liked by the current owner depending on their personality.

I'd also like to see a section of the worker's business profile that specifies how apt they are to promote themselves, their family and their friends above those that may be more qualified, and also whether they are more likely to promote from within the company or hire from outside the company when it comes to hiring management and assessing and building talent.

I believe I played a game where Vince died, and his son took over for the company. I figured it was because he was the son of Vince, and that was why. I know in reality, probably HHH will take over, but I think the AI already makes a check for family in the bussiness first.

I'm not 100% sure though, as I'm only going off one game that I noticed this on. I do think Adam said it works that way at one time a good while ago though.

I think it already does that. On all the 5 millions games I played with DOTT, ICW always ends up in Randy savage's hands.

Occasionally I have games where The Highland Warrior in effect sells MOSC to his son Jeffrey. I thought it was a bug at first until I double checked it.

I'm reminded of a mod, dont remember which, but Vince always died early, and was almost always replaced by Jerry jarrett.

Also in DOTT, when Bill Watts and Verne Gagne retire from 'active competition', they usually hand over ownership to Joel Watts & Greg Gagne respectively. Which IS something I'd like to see fixed in 08 actually. Just cause they're retired from competing in the ring, doesn't mean they retired from running their business...

I agree with this. I've had a couple of cases where the person retired from active wrestling and then gave up their promotions. Seems a little odd to me that they still remain on contract to a federation they "gave up".

Maybe this should be reported in the tech support area?
