Playing as developmental feds?

I never REALLY understood why this wasn't possible. I think playing as a developmental promotion would be a fun challenge, erratically you'd have talent taken away, new talent plopped into your lap.. its a whole new game play challenge. Yeah, the goal of growing your promotion would take a backseat to developing talent, but still.. it'd be a neat new challenge.

I like "cheating" to play as RIPW. The majority of the talent I hired in '05 is now concentrated in 4C and RIPW, so I've got a soft spot for people like John Greed. I also hope that you can play as a development territory, but there should be limits on that. As a development territory you shouldn't be able to grow beyond Regional level, and breaking the child agreement with the parent company would cause them to go to war with you (or at least have a chance of going to war)

And it might be one players who don't necessarily care about getting to the top would relish. Not to mention how it might be a way to bring new people along. They could learn how talent develops, how angle segments fit together to create shows and other such basics. Then jump into a company that's on its own and join the race to be a Global power once you have a grounding. As this would compartmentalize the learning curve of the game.

If you were a development fed, I would think your major job would be to develop people for the "big-time" with the challenge of not having any control over your own roster. I think it would bring quite a few added dimensions to the game. I would really like to see this and I would certainly play as a developmental fed.

I would LOVE to be able to play a developmental fed. I don't believe there are any downsides to this idea. ooo would I love to play as FCW and have the opportunity to see Colt Cabana develope or not depending on his potential. if that is possible you could have the option to hire your own trainers to train the potential stars in the style of the parent promotion thus adding a whole new dimension to an already complex game :)

Put me down for this as well. I like it and am extremely hopeful that Adam incorporates it.
