A lot of common thread on me, and fair enough. I was planning to spill my beans earlier, but then the MOTHER****ING PHOENIX is at hand, and well forgive me for taking a potentially world-ending threat a little more seriously.

Moe on the other hand is perfectly content not saying anything, and voting off Astil.

MOE is taking advantage of the Phoenix thing, to NOT explain his actions at Midnightnicks. That's how it looks to me (Sorry Moe). Especially when he chose to NOT quote my post directed to him.... knowing WE should all want to know.

I think there is something Astil is NOT telling us, but I'm not sure what that is yet...

Which post? Sorry if it was just before work I was in a rush reading about four pages and may have missed somehting. I recall an Akki post I wanted to /nod at, hopefully I'll have covered whatever our direct concern is by the end of this.

Like I said, I had full intentions of fronting up, unwise as it may be, but then the Phoenix came along and I wanted us to focus on a blatant and deadly threat.

No one can cast the "Force" Out of her? Isn't there one more left that might be able to do something about that?

I do agree on the Moe thing, and think he should've taken some time to defend himself instead of trying to keep all of the head on Astil. That looked really bad.

Sorry, when I'm focused I'm focused. We do agree that the Phoenix is the main threat here.

Been meaning to ask about you - you're playing awfully different to previous games as far as activity goes. Something new in your life?

Indeed. Moe's actually become more suspicious to me than Crychon at this point.
I also happen to remember people pointing out some things about you. I'm sure they haven't forgotten either.

*Noob question alert* How do the skrulls work? Could they fall victim?
The Skrulls assimilate. They replace people, and these days are completely undetectable. In current issues they've taken over the likes of Black Bolt, Jarvis, Dum Dum Dugan and many more. They could be anyone at any time. We wouldn't know. Apparently Whitey has some insight however, at least to their precense.

Behind Phoenix and Thanos, the Skrulls worry me most.

Looking at them quickly though, not too specific.

Powerful Strange Guy Night 1
Inhuman Being Night 2
Powerful Silly Guy Night 3

Also, since 2 of them are regarded as pretty powerful, maybe not such a great idea.

I targetted MNN every night so far.
He's still alive last time I checked.
If anyone had bothered to watch over him or me, they would have seen this for themselves.
Remember I went on a bit of a rant early on about having to carry MNN and Akki after their total balls-up? Yeah, take it literally.

Arrows, the reason I keep coming back to the list is because... Number one, people that are not guilty would have stepped forward by now (Trypio, for example). Astil couldn't, soon as we ask, he does though.

IER had a good reason (although I don't get his role), and I understand the consequences of it. However, he come forward, and KNEW he never had to... I would have never said who it was.

I just realised what was being said (Thanks to TDS). So I take off one more, on that list.

That leaves Crychon and The Shape.

Concerning your list, do you think any of those people could be a mafia don? Could help me with a theory I have as to why so many people are seemingly withholding information.My thoughts exactly. Which means that anyone who is a "confirmed" townie is still a suspect.

I think there is a possibility... If the DON has a power that is needed for certain things.

I wouldn't scratch his name off the list just yet. Given some of the roles I've seen in the past, a scum who comes up town without being the Don wouldn't surprise me at all.

It is now Day Phase. You have until 8PM EST Wednesday May 7th/1AM GMT Thursday May 8th to vote on a lynch. If a majority is not reached at that time a no-lynch will be declared.

With 29 players remaining it is 15 to lynch.

Crychon > 6 (Astil, i effin rule, Akki, The Humanoid Typhoon, Mr T Jobs To Me, Arrows)
Astil > 3 (Moe Hunter, Slim Jim, Derek B)

I really think we need to handle the Astil situation somehow, but shaking the list to see what falls out seems like a good idea in the meantime. Surely SOMEONE on that list HAS to be scum, right?

Derek_b's been on my radar for a while now. I think his sarcastic post after the day 1 lynch struck me as mafia, wanting to look town but mocking them at the same time. Which is something derek_b would do.

Outlaw is NEVER as lost as he acts, but the questions seem very sincere. There is a reason I think he's not as active, and it's not just busy... and it could possibly be very good for us.

Nevermore is probably guilty. Didn't he show up and not post?

Derek is different. He is not playing his logical self. HE's ussually not quick to ever throw a vote down....

Derek and Slim have been doing a really nice job of flying under the radar, which is a bit off for them. TDS I'm ok with.

Given what he said, I agree. Also, according to what he said, he was looking for 2 specfic people. I can see that too.
Seems to me he wasn't a regular investigator, but would have just gotten "this is/isn't someone you're looking for".

They wouldn't let me on their team, I don't think. Some might say they already have my "niche" filled, but I say that's BS.

We don't actually have confirmation of Shape being town yet. Either way though...

Hmm, not sure what kind of innocent looking guy would be up to something. Usually it's guys like Magneto and Doctor Doom who temporarily side with the heroes, but everyone expects them to be up to somehting, so they'd more likely be millers if than Dons in that regard.

Slim's on mine as well. My list excludes anyone I can confirm isn't Thanos. Trying to figure out a way to get it down to a reasonable size.

To me it's more of a... Someone on that list KNOWS Of other scum, but doesn't realise it.. Or they are Scum.

Still have no idea what those "Watcher's" were doing there... Still have no idea what they "SEEN". That's bugging the hell out of me.

Likewise. I don't recall if I expressed it earlier or not (I think I did in a general sense) but I find it bizzare how little we're getting from watchers and investigators. Literally all we have is your and MJD's things from Night One.

About the other potential scum... Nevermore and Outlaw both strike me as odd, Nevermore moreso since he's been active elsewhere (in the Dog Pound even) since being questioned here. I've never been able to get a read on Derek, I didn't play in any of the games where he was a major player.

In these early stages, it's a bit of a crapshoot. Presumably, if they had gotten something worthwhile they would have come out with it.

As for the watchers, assuming we believe everything we've been told, we can safely narrow it down to there being two on DJ's list, at best: Crychon and Shape. Crychon has said he'll be on later to give us something. Still not sure about Shape, but I'm erring on the side of trust for now. I have my reasons.

Ha, you may have noticed I don't stick my head above the parapet often in any game. It's hardly surprising why reading through this thread. I swear some people have been trying to set out an accurate route map for scum :rolleyes:.

Speak when you have something to say is my motto.

And, on that note:

I'm still not confident about Moe; that seemed like a dig-your-heels-in post. Call it gut feeling but consider my "FOS" raised.

Crychon should definitely be the focus, though. I know as well as anyone that life issues can distract you from the game but "I'll explain when I get back" translates in the scum dictionary as "excuse me whilst I think up a cunning plan". Add to that the prior processes of elimination.

Nevertheless, this phoenix issue must be taken seriously. I'm doing some swatting up at the moment. Although, if what some people reckon ot be the case is the case, we may well already be boned thanks to the "Hey, Phoenix, over here!" message that's been coming across.

Let's leave it in the hands of the same power group who ALL wound up at 2 places night 1, and left EVERYONE else wide open to be killed. Let's leave it up to them to figure out what to do.

There are ways to keep an eye on Astil, that way if nothing else we can find the Phoenix and lynch it next phase in an attempt to "save" Astil.

Put it out there so we can compare it to the write-up. Look at if from different directions, as something that looks one way might not be.

I thought there would be. I don't know if DJ would have seen on Night 2 had he not been roleblocked, or where he was looking last night. Likewise with MJD, I don't know where he was looking either.

Im not sure what I think of the Phoenix situation, some of the players that seems to understand this theme are the biggest ones pushing for this which makes me think we could be making a huge mistake by overlooking this right now.

On the other hand, something is not adding up on what people are claiming with DJ's list.

The Phoenix is potentially more dangerous than Thanos. We don't have any idea who or where Thanos is, but we DO know where one half of the Phoenix is. Reading over this I think some people need to remember that THIS IS A MAFIA GAME! No matter how destructive phoenix is in the comics or whatever, she's not suddenly going to transform into an unlynchable PGO psychopath overnight. Lynching Astil just doesn't make sense at this point; as long as he's alive and on our side he's valuable and we'll know what's up if things change.

As for Moe, he's getting a little sharp with people but that strikes me more as frustration than anything else. I believe him at this point, but given Astil's claim, what Crychon says for himself will have a lot to do with what I think of all this...

As for those four names, Arrows, 3 of them have hinted towards viable roles and I trust nZane at this point.

But yeah, Supermareo I will say is also not Thanos. I have a feeling that maybe the "nameless one" might also come off the list, Aussie cleared him and so the chain of "peoplpe I believe" goes on. The plan to watch over Astil is enough of an insurance to allay my fears about the possible complete destruction of this entire site by the Phoenix so Change Vote: No Vote.

As far as the list goes, I wasn't too worried about Moe until his posts over the last couple of pages, where he has just seemed very off. Him aside, I'm more concerned about Shape over Crychon, to be honest. He doesn't look to be playing in his normal townie way at all to me; I think he's trying to look townie, which isn't what he does when he is town... and that worries me.

I could clear one name but I don't think you'd believe me. On the other hand, I do have my suspicions of it being 1 of 2 people on that list. But since I'm under the microscope just now I'm not going to say who. :p

As for defending myself, that's certainly something I could do. But since I only ever roleclaim under useful circumstances or to accomplish something (like in R&B), I'm going to let you work it out for yourself why I was happy voting for foolinc on Day 2. Hopefully you can work it out for yourselves... although I fear that if you do then it won't only be the good guys that understand it.

In most cases I'd expect a no, but both suspects are front-and-center lynch/pressure candidates now anyway, and I have evidence (not proof) against both.

At the moment I believe Derek_B is involved in the cult, or at the very least a bad guy.

Anything you can say to go against that?

I have no proof on anyone either way. I'm going off hints I or other people have picked up, what the confirmed townies say, DJ's list, and my own gut instinct. I could very easily be wrong about Derek and him be scum, which is why I voted that way.

I don't want to kill anyone just yet, and as an alternative, Moe Hunter looks as good of a choice to me.

However, what I know coupled with what was going on in the thread whilst I was thinking about it makes me very confident...

I'm leaving in a moment and I know that if i leave without responding I'd wake up lynched in the morning. Planning on staying at Sarah's tonight (and maybe tomorrow night too) and already running later than normal. If she kills me in real life then you'll only have yourselves to blame. TDS is right. We haven't really grilled Shape as much as everyone else on the list, and if we buy Moe's claim of Protector.

We have time with derek_b. These chucklers who claim power roles but decide not to say which character they are or provide any substansive content in their defense really irk me. If you're going to claim something that can get you killed, go full out to earn some trust with the town. This, "Oh, I can't believe you guys suspect me, I'm the INVESTIGATOR!!!1" deal carries no weight with me unless you bring something else to the table.

However, since he's ducked out once again, and Moe's asleep, and Crychon's at work...
