He supposedly knows what dj knows. But even if he follows up on that, he's playing a losing game. The only X factor would be if he's aligned with Thanos, and not an individual, as he's claimed. I don't know Marvel, but this doesn't seem to be the case yet.

You know, we're in pretty much the EXACT position we were in last phase. There wasn't anything concrete on Nevy, but there was very little in the way of a movement to lynch Arrows. This phase there isn't anything concrete on Moe (still more than we had on Nevy, in my opinion), yet there is this group of people who seem insistent on taking Arrows out. The primary difference, at least in my eyes? Nevy was AoE, while Moe is suspected of being with Thanos.

Been noticing the same thing. There's been a few bandwagons grinding to a halt with no reason. I still kind of think Mystique had the role of DJ in Star Wars: scum that turns up town when killed. And I think that was a sacrifice play.
Then again: I'm always wrong so this is probably not the case.

I just think that anything we can do to harm Thanos is going to be more beneficial for us. We know Arrows is a threat and he will be dealth with in due time. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being and hope that he'll continue to be helpful (and as long as it continues to be beneficial for him too, I think he will). That's where I stand.

Although now would be a good time to remind everyone that I HAVE NEVER WON A SINGLE GAME OF MAFIA ON ANY BOARD EVER! So yeah, siding with me might not be the best idea in the world. :D

Guys, killing Arrows will mean that we will waste a phase killing a SK who we have on a short leash while a disciple of Thanos walks out.

I want to put a vote on moe, but don't want the phase to end yet. I am just stuck thinking about who MW could be. Thanos just isn’t adding up though throwing the ideas of skrulls out to get black bolt outed would be a great strategy. He doesn’t seem to have a power that fits with the whole “reverb” thing and neither of his minions seems like the type that could cause such a thing. Looking at the gems I see two which would seem like they could cause such a thing but at that time Thanos had neither. This makes me think that MW might be a good guy and by looking at his lack of posts his visions and the reverb thing I only see one person/thing he could be. Assuming he isn’t a different bad guy or just messing with us.

I had been mistaken before. It was Night 3 I saw Outlaw targeted by Derek.

Night 1 was trypio > Shape, Night 2 was foolinc > DJ, night 3 was Derek > Outlaw.

Once again they gathered in Central Park, but this time it was different. This time they had direction.

One whom everyone trusted came forward:

"Moe Hunter is not Town Aligned."

The mob began to gain steam, they grabbed Moe, ready to send him swaying in the breeze like so many others.

Until another who had led the town in the past decided to speak up.

"I do not trust this creature among us " he said, pointing his finger at another.

"He'll turn on us as soon as it suits his interests, he's said so himself."

Back and forth they argued.

Both Suspects, they knew, were scum.

But which is the lesser of the two evils?

Finally a consensus was made. The town made a pact with a Nightmare, and cornered a beast. He fought the town as they came but, the numbers were too much to overcome.

Subdued, they dragged the creature to teh gallows and confirmed what most had already suspected.

Moe claimed to be Dagger (or Cloak), and he would die 3 days after Cloak (or Dagger).

My main thing is I think he was doomed to die anyways, as the "Blood Brother's" Fits what he was talking about anyways... And the fact that even in the comicbooks they get weaker without the other. Just seemed to fit... Guess I won't know till the end now.

I'm ok with this. If Arrows goes off and does something "smart", I'm not going to be upset, as it was hard for me to make a decision in the first place... Notice how much I talked about it... I was just trying to make a decision on someone before I went to work. Would have wanted Thanos more then either, if that would have been an option... but the person I personally thought might be Thanos, has kind of been taken off that list now.

Central Park

He was alone now, but still willing to fight. He had followed his target to the middle of central park, watching her every move. Her associations with those; those, rodents, perplexed him, but, it didn't matter. In a few short minutes her and her little pals would be all but a memory.

He cracked his knuckles, and from his fingertips let loose with the concussive blasts.

He was slightly off target, but the force knocked the girl to the ground all the same, and in an instant he was on top of her, knife in hand.

"You know this really isn't my weapon of choice, but, I've grown quite fond of hearing my victims scream"

The attacker raised the knife high in the air, when suddenly he felt something tugging at his boot. He looked back and it was one of those pests, attempting to gnaw through his armor. The Attacker swatted the nuisance away, and turned back only to see that he was surrounded. "Surrounded by those rodents!" he thought. Hundreds of them swarmed the attacker, gnawing, scratching, biting at the armor, until the attacker was engulfed in brown fur.

Not one to give up, he began thrashing about, sending masses of squirrels to and fro. He had cleared himself of the pests and once again readied himself to finish the deed. And again he was delayed by the "rodents" as one landed on his shoulder prepared to bite its way through the armor if it had to.

That attacker let out a sigh and rolled his eyes, as the girl screamed out for her friend:

"Monkey Joe NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

But it was too late, with just a flex of his bicep a surge of electricty was sent through the little critter, stopping its heart instantly. The attacker laughed, shaking the glorified rodent off his shoulder. He studied the girl, cracked his knuckles, ready to finish what he set out to do.

But, yet again, a squirrel descended on the man. This time landing on the attackers mask, the squirrel attacked the eyes, gnawing and scratching through the slits in the mask. The attacker frantically clawed at his own face, desperately trying to shake the wild rodent loose. The attacker fell to the ground, when suddenly the squirrel released it's grasp and scurried back to the girl. The attacker stood, now unable to see out of one eye, he proclaimed:

"It's not worth it! Fine! You want to play with these pests, be my guest, I have more important matters to attend to"

With that the girl rushed to her fallen friend, hoping for the best. Upon seeing him though, she wept, knowing there was nothing she could do to bring her pal back.

"At least I still have you, right, Tippy-Toe. Together we can avenge our friends death"

The Nightmare watched as the one the town told him to take care of went about his business. He saw the man, or what looked like a man, walk about his home, unaware of him lurking in the darnkess.

The Nightmare snuck into the house, and made his move. His prey quickly engullfed by the blackness, the Nightmare grinned.

However.

Something was wrong. The Nightmare could feel it, burning, heat, like fire ripping through his very being. His prey was not so helpless after all.

"Wait, what are you doing to us!!!!"

"I can feel your energy, fueled by such hatred. It's time you felt it too"

Arrows stood no chance as blasts of energy emmanated from his would be prey, tearing him to pieces.

Just thought I'd do a little advocating of the devil and found some interesting stuff. One thing in particular stood out.


Black Bolt possesses various superhuman powers stemming from his ability to harness free-floating electrons. The speech center of Black Bolt’s brain contains an organic mechanism able to generate an as yet unknown type of particle which interacts with ambient electrons to create certain phenomena determined by mental control. The most devastating of the effects is Black Bolt’s quasi-sonic scream. Because his electron-harnessing ability is linked to the speech center of his brain, any attempt to use his vocal cords – from the merest whisper to a full scream – triggers an uncontrollable disturbance of the particle / electron interaction field. This result in a shock wave equivalent, at maximum force, to that caused by the detonation of a nuclear weapon. A whisper has generated sufficient force to rock a battleship, while a scream can reduce a mountain to rubble.

The fork-shaped antenna that Black Bolt has worn upon his brow since childhood enable him to channel his powers in more directed, less destructive ways. The antenna monitors his brain’s speech center activity and allows him to direct limited quantities of the unknown particle to create a number of controlled phenomena. He can channel this energy inwardly to enhance his own body’s speed and strength. Black Bolt is capable of channeling all available energy into one arm for one powerful punch called his Master Blow. This exertion taxes ability to employ the particle / electron energy to its limit and him extremely vulnerable following its use.

Black Bolt is also able to direct the unknown particle outwards in ways otherthan by means of his of his vocal cords. He can rapidly route particle / electron through his arms to create relatively small concussive blast. He can form a field of highly-active electrons around himself with the wave of a hand, said field being capable of deflecting projectiles up to the mass of an MX missile traveling at its maximum speed. He can create particle / electron interaction fields solid enough to be traveled upon, though this phenomenon is a particularly difficult and exhausting one. He can use these electron fields as extrasensory probes which are highly sensitive to other electromagnetic energy phenomena. He can even manipulate his electron field to jam certain electrical mechanisms.

Black Bolt can also harness the unknown particles his brain generate to interact with electrons to create anti-gravitons that enable him to defy gravity. By emitting a jet of rapidly moving particle / electron interaction by-product while enveloped by anti-gravitons, Black Bolt can fly up to 500 miles per hour for a period of 6 hours before his brain begins to tire appreciably from the effort. The anti-graviton field also serves to protect Black Bolt from the detrimental effects of rapid movement through the atmosphere.

I'd think a low potential kill with a risk of having no benefits outweighs the potential to kill a valuable townie. I'd say unless you go back to 0 you should move into vig mode for a while and target people you suspect.

First off I apologize for not responding sooner. It was a very bad evening. I have had trouble with my wireless network at the house all weekend. Not so much the main computer but my kids. 13 and 10. AIM etc you get the picture. Very frustrating.

Anyway. Got a ticket on the way to work last night. Arrived to find my boss and his boss waiting on me. Not good. I was up for a promotion. Been working on it for awhile. (One of the reasons I wasn't going to play this game.)

In my honest opinion? To have this phase spent for the most part questioning me. Giving him another day to figure out how to get the last gem or figure out who has it.

Game balance. It was speculated on when the discussion was about The Phoenix. And again you will have to forgive me I am no comic book guru. I had never heard of most of the characters that have been revealed.

You know as a moderator that there has to be balance. If not the game doesn't flow correctly. It becomes one sided. With the mistakes made liek day one, if there wasn't balance this would have been over long ago I fear.
