In all seriousness, the things I've said have been for your benefit. But instead of actually giving a reason for not listening to anyone (besides the cliche "That's just how I am"), you've insisted on insulting anyone who confronts you. You tried to kiss up to your peers here and be a smart ass to the new, unpopular guy. However, I wound up mocking the hell out of it because of it's logical flaws. Rather than just letting it die with my pretty harmless reply, you opted to go into some bull**** about how I'm wrong because you're an English major that graduated from a good school, wrote some book that probably no one but your friends and family have read. Yeah, but if you read it like I did...

Just imagine me reading this thing, and going back and forth to various websights looking for a villain called Magento. I know something of this stuff, but not up to date, and thought it could very well be something new.

Then as I'm opening folder's, websight pages, browsing and reading, and still reading this thread, it all comes up later, and from the person that said they knew very little.

I know LATER there were many people that corrected it, but reading it from the start, not as it's going, made it seem like an ongoing discussion moreso then what it probably was.

I laugh now, but I was a little upset because I spent a good deal looking for this "Magento" Fellow.

Night 1

Brooklyn

Jason was an unusual young child. Some would call him brilliant, others just thought of him as odd. He paid no attention to what others said of him however. Truth be told he didn't consider himself to fall into either label, no, to him, he was just curious. Curious about how the world worked and what made people and objects behave in the manner they do.

On this night he was curious about the stars. Sitting atop the roof of the apartment complex in which he and his parents lived a million different thoughts ran through his mind as he gazed at the wonders above. What made them twinkle the way they did? How did giant balls of gas radiate and put out such magnificent light? Why were some brighter than others?

In particular why did this one star shine so brightly red?

The star emanated a bright red light that Jason was sure could be seen the world over. It was mesmerizing, intoxicating, he basked in the amazement of what he was witnessing; when suddenly the light began to grow. As big as two stars now; three; four. How could this be? This was some kind of comet, or asteroid, a Supernova heading right this way. Jason's palms clammed up and his bones began to quake as he came to the realization that this was no mere star. Bigger and bigger the red hot light grew. He couldn't turn himself away, feeling the heat, like fire, brush across his skin.

And in a blink of an eye it was gone.

Nervous laughter filled the air as Jason was overcome with relief, wondering if it was all just a dream, did he really see what he thought he saw. One last look into the night sky, but no such light was to be found. Perhaps it was better to ignore your curiosity when it came to certain things he thought.

Alone and scared, "that's enough stargazing for one night" he said to himself as he started toward the stairwell.

"Oh, hello, little firefly"

He with the grim visage stared out at the barren landscape. Blood had already been shed, and more would come. Cities, planets, galaxies, the entire cosmos would drown in a vast sea of it, an unrelenting sea of blood.

Despite his awareness of what soon must follow at his own doing, he felt neither joy nor sadness. In fact, he felt very little anymore. In the past, observers might accuse him of being directed by malice, or lust. But this time it was different; this time the fuel that drove the engine of his dark designs was…


He held the Gem in his hand and cleared his mind, and imagined the being before him. Almost instantly he knew, that he had found one that he was looking for.

It was then that he turned his malignant gaze towards the stone in his hand, and he smiled in anticipation.

He knew what he had to do.

If they were who they said they were, it was more than worth the risk.

He watched him conversing with another. Waiting, from the shadows, for the opportunity to strike, unaware that their were others in the shadows as well.

The other having left, it was now time to strike. No use for subtlety, he burst through the wall, catching his target off guard. A few swift strikes and the man didn't even have time to put up a decent fight. He grabbed his prey and lifted him high into the air, when suddenly another man entered the room.

"I suggest you put him down; no one is going to die while I'm around"

The attacker smirked and threw a swift punch that would have hit the mark if something had not got in the way. The sound of metal on metal clanged in the air as the two squared off. Back and forth they went, until the attacker managed to get an upper hand. The tide was turning until yet another entered the fray. From the attackers blindside the third man struck with a powerful blow knocking the attacker through a wall to the outside of the building. The third man looked to the other and with a nod the two followed the attacker to the outside.

They found the attacker stunned but not out. The two took turns subduing the attacker knowing full well it would take all they had to fully put the man down. Satisfied, they finally returned to check on the one who'd originally been attacked in the first place.

Never noticing the one watching from a distance.

War Journal

Micro got a tip about a crazed killer making his way to New York from the west coast. This is before all hell broke loose and chaos swept the city. There are about a million of these damn super powered morons here now. Whatever. Let them kill each other, while they show off their "gifts." I'll continue to protect the average guy from the monsters like the one I'm searching for.

I asked around, talked to people that know these things. Seems there has been reports of someone, or something, frightening the people of this particular neighborhood. Good place to start, but, I certainly didn't think the trail would lead me here. Nice place, if you go for that sort of thing. I don't.

Quick survey of the surrounding area and things are all clear; time for a closer look.

I approached the perimeter careful not to make a sound. Peak in through the window, hard to see through stained glass, but I catch enough to know who I'm looking at.

This isn't the monster I'm looking for. Time to ask around.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.

He had watched the attack fail, and witnessed them subdue the hulk of a man that layed before him. What the downed mans motives were for attacking the other was none of his business. He had his own plan and tonight would set that plan in motion. Tonight he would make a statement.

He had taken beatings before, he'd recover he knew full well. Just need to rest, recuperate, and he'd be back for revenge on the two who'd done this to him. His mind was beginning to come to, it was time to get out of here before the pair who'd done this to him came back looking for answers. His mind was willing but he found himself unable to move. Blackness surrounded him, a cold black substance engulfing his every limb. Unsure of what was happening he looked up and that's when he saw it. A creature, it looked like something out of a nightmare.

"I'm going to eat your brains!!!" was the last thing TJROH ever heard.

This was his city, and he made it a point of pride to ensure that nothing happened in it without his knowledge.

He perched on the rooftops watching the house of one he was sure would see plenty of action.

It was all a blur, it seemed like half the town decided to congregate at the same house. Some were there with good intentions other's for their own means. Some stayed in the shadows others stood watch in the front.

Finally two individuals made their moves, and made it inside. He heard a scuffle, things falling over, glass breaking but there was no way to tell what exactly was happening inside. When suddenly an object burst through the window, an object? Or a man? It was all too fast to get a sense of, flying off over the distance. In any event the house was suddenly silent, the two who had made their way inside snuck out and went their own separate ways. The others who remained on the outside could see that nothing more would happen and slowly trickled back to where ever they came from.

He took stock of who he could identify, knowing full well the knowledge he held could be the key to unlocking this whole situation.

She was starving, hadn't eaten in days.

She wandered the streets aimlessly looking for something to end this hunger. Then she saw her opportunity. Her victim was also out, doing what she did not know, nor did she care. Her only thought, her only need was to feed.

Her victim was intently going about her business unaware of the danger that lurked behind her. Suddenly she sprung, tackled her victim from behind hands clenched to her victims face. She reveled in the raw power she could feel surging throughout her body as she drained her victim of all her energy. Finally she felt "full."

Slowly the girl came to the realization of what she had done, consumed by the all encompasing need she never stopped to think about what her actions meant.

"Sorry, but you'll be alright soon enough", she finally said as she left her emaciated victim laying in the street.

He WAS the founder of the Alliance of Evil, so it's possible. Role title doesn't really reflect it, but that might not really be anything, since the title seem to pretty much be just character nicknames/short descriptions.

He watched him conversing with another. Waiting, from the shadows, for the opportunity to strike, unaware that their were others in the shadows as well.

The other having left, it was now time to strike. No use for subtlety, he burst through the wall, catching his target off guard. A few swift strikes and the man didn't even have time to put up a decent fight. He grabbed his prey and lifted him high into the air, when suddenly another man entered the room.

"I suggest you put him down; no one is going to die while I'm around"

The attacker smirked and threw a swift punch that would have hit the mark if something had not got in the way. The sound of metal on metal clanged in the air as the two squared off. Back and forth they went, until the attacker managed to get an upper hand. The tide was turning until yet another entered the fray. From the attackers blindside the third man struck with a powerful blow knocking the attacker through a wall to the outside of the building. The third man looked to the other and with a nod the two followed the attacker to the outside.

They found the attacker stunned but not out. The two took turns subduing the attacker knowing full well it would take all they had to fully put the man down. Satisfied, they finally returned to check on the one who'd originally been attacked in the first place.

Never noticing the one watching from a distance.

War Journal

Micro got a tip about a crazed killer making his way to New York from the west coast. This is before all hell broke loose and chaos swept the city. There are about a million of these damn super powered morons here now. Whatever. Let them kill each other, while they show off their "gifts." I'll continue to protect the average guy from the monsters like the one I'm searching for.

I asked around, talked to people that know these things. Seems there has been reports of someone, or something, frightening the people of this particular neighborhood. Good place to start, but, I certainly didn't think the trail would lead me here. Nice place, if you go for that sort of thing. I don't.

Quick survey of the surrounding area and things are all clear; time for a closer look.

I approached the perimeter careful not to make a sound. Peak in through the window, hard to see through stained glass, but I catch enough to know who I'm looking at.

This isn't the monster I'm looking for. Time to ask around.

In any event the house was suddenly silent, the two who had made their way inside snuck out and went their own separate ways. The others who remained on the outside could see that nothing more would happen and slowly trickled back to where ever they came from.

He took stock of who he could identify, knowing full well the knowledge he held could be the key to unlocking this whole situation.

Whoever this is knows the identity of two protectors. Very nice.

THat's right, I forgot all about Scorpion being Venom now. Still, never knew he ate people (even as Scorpio, I don't think he did). So this Venom has a tail and upgraded power like a cross between Spidey/Scorpian/Symbiot?He sometimes creates a tail, but it's not a regular thing. He's like the original Venom, but far more sadistic. The symbiote didn't bond with moreso as it did take him over. Gargan's still a villain, but the symbiote scares the crap out of him.

He was emaciated, skeletal looking... Like what a spider does to a bug. I think it might be an uncontrollable thing for the person that did it (has to turn in a name of someone to feed off of at night), might be perfectly townie during the day.... Which if goes on, might imply a sort of lycanthrope.

The other possibility was discouraged, but if someone only posts at night (or never after me saying that), then I would think that's a possibility as well.

I think it might be an uncontrollable thing for the person that did it (has to turn in a name of someone to feed off of at night), might be perfectly townie during the day.... Which if goes on, might imply a sort of lycanthrope.

The other possibility was discouraged, but if someone only posts at night (or never after me saying that), then I would think that's a possibility as well.

She wandered the streets aimlessly looking for something to end this hunger. Then she saw her opportunity. Her victim was also out, doing what she did not know, nor did she care. Her only thought, her only need was to feed.

Her victim was intently going about her business unaware of the danger that lurked behind her. Suddenly she sprung, tackled her victim from behind hands clenched to her victims face. She reveled in the raw power she could feel surging throughout her body as she drained her victim of all her energy. Finally she felt "full."

Slowly the girl came to the realization of what she had done, consumed by the all encompasing need she never stopped to think about what her actions meant.

"Sorry, but you'll be alright soon enough", she finally said as she left her emaciated victim laying in the street.

This was his city, and he made it a point of pride to ensure that nothing happened in it without his knowledge.

He perched on the rooftops watching the house of one he was sure would see plenty of action.

It was all a blur, it seemed like half the town decided to congregate at the same house. Some were there with good intentions other's for their own means. Some stayed in the shadows others stood watch in the front.

The only thing brutal for me is if something gets by unquestioned. Outside of that I could stay quiet for quite a while.

One thing I noticed again in the second readthrough of this section that I missed the first time: Astil's character is apparently a girl.. If he were to be a villain, who would that make him? Are there any major female villains out there? I know of Mystique, but that's about it that I can think of with my limited knowlege.

From the attackers blindside the third man struck with a powerful blow knocking the attacker through a wall to the outside of the building. They found the attacker stunned but not out. The two took turns subduing the attacker knowing full well it would take all they had to fully put the man down. Satisfied, they finally returned to check on the one who'd originally been attacked in the first place.A protector (could Thor's hammer be considered metal in this instance?) stopping Apoc and another protector stepping in with the assist.

Micro got a tip about a crazed killer making his way to New York from the west coast. This is before all hell broke loose and chaos swept the city. There are about a million of these damn super powered morons here now. Whatever. Let them kill each other, while they show off their "gifts." I'll continue to protect the average guy from the monsters like the one I'm searching for.

I asked around, talked to people that know these things. Seems there has been reports of someone, or something, frightening the people of this particular neighborhood. Good place to start, but, I certainly didn't think the trail would lead me here. Nice place, if you go for that sort of thing. I don't.

Quick survey of the surrounding area and things are all clear; time for a closer look.

I approached the perimeter careful not to make a sound. Peak in through the window, hard to see through stained glass, but I catch enough to know who I'm looking at.
