I signed him and gave him a new name.. here's what I wrote in his in game bio to give you an idea about the direction I've taken him in.

He signed with NOTBPW in late 2010, debuting a new character the masked bringer of blood and pain, Otaku Miyazaki. The name coming from both the famed Japanese serial killer Tsutomu Miyazaki and the word otaku, the Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests.

I was using a random render for him, but I like the character so much I'd like an official alt for the little guy.

It can be a mask, facepaint, whatever.. just make him spooky and pissed looking.

Repackage the Samoan Wildboys, (or whatever they're called) as Rocksteady and Bebop. Not sure who would be Krang though, maybe somebody like Brains McGhee. Hey, the name fits. Could also have somebody as April O'Neill, maybe Katherine Goodlooks or something.

As for the turtles, maybe Fearless Blue as Leonardo, Spike as Raphael, Elmo Benson as Michaelangelo, and somebody like Super Sonic for Donatello. Splinter could be Professor Nero.

The Champagne Lover ones were actually the hardest because I had to draw the lower part of the jacket myself (using a copy-brush) and subsequently they aren't perfect, but I'm glad you like 'em ;)

I always have the same problem with JD Morgan.. what friggin' gimmick to put him in while at the same time having his picture match said gimmick.

I only tried changing the facial expression for Darryl and I'm not entirely pleased with how they came out. Especially that outright smile (Harry Allen's, btw) I thought would look somewhat c0cky, but it actually just makes Darryl look stupid.

Actually I don't know the two-tone beard really goes with his face. Perhaps if the moustache and beard were the same color. But one good thing about the facial hair is that it makes him look less like a vacant doofus. Get the monotone facial hair and the robes in the same pic and it seems like you could have a winning effect for Frankie.

Those work. The Tyler and El Leon are both spot on. The Nevada Nucleur is pretty much what I had in mind as well. Doesn't look "sloppy" to me! Don't worry about it. I didn't mind or anything. After a certain while you should repeat your requests because I think most of us (Fin has said so and I know it's true about myself) don't go back more than a dozen or so pages to look for work to do.


Those work. The Tyler and El Leon are both spot on. The Nevada Nucleur is pretty much what I had in mind as well. Doesn't look "sloppy" to me! Wouldn't mind seeing those sunglasses on him with his regular hair as well, if you or someone else wants to play with it more. Those work... I just love having plenty of options!

Actually I don't know the two-tone beard really goes with his face. Perhaps if the moustache and beard were the same color. But one good thing about the facial hair is that it makes him look less like a vacant doofus. Get the monotone facial hair and the robes in the same pic and it seems like you could have a winning effect for Frankie.

While it is great that people are going to great lengths to try ad give credit, I hope everyone also realises that long files names mean that the picture won't show up properly in the game. They will show up in the list of pics but when you choose to use them, they won't work because the name is so long...

... meaning that most of the new pictures will have to be renamed manually by the person wanting to use the picture. Which is very, very annoying.

Just wanted everyone to know that before credit ends up getting in the way of being able to use stuff. I propose a short version... like PICTURE_NachtFIN1 or even PICTURE_NacFIN1 Three letters should be enough to identify easch artist if this is the way we are going. :)

Farm boy and outbacker gimmicks came to mind. As did just tossing him in a suit to be a bodyguard type. But that's hardly original. Nor does it change the fact that if our body composition depended on mental capacity, Robertson would be invisible.

In the meantime, let us return to the Island of Misfit Alts. I've been talking to Steve Gumble and he's NOT happy about the crappy costume he got stuck with at the TCW Halloween party this year. Horse costumes have ended friendships, Harry. You do know that don't you?

I didn't realize that. But I guess that's why a Frederique Garcia pic that was pompously named "Frederique Antonio Garcia_somethingortheother" didn't work in my game recently :rolleyes:

Also, good job on the El Leon pics, Fin! And I really like the Bootsy version of Eddie Howard, as well. I've always had a problem with Eddie because of his total blandness. That certainly helps :)

Man the DOA and Dark Angels in particular are really good. I think my problem was trying to go by what his gimmick fit section said he was good at.

this is what i dont understand about the whole taking and giving credit situation. how can some take and add some small thing to the original picture and and call IT their alt. Basically what im say is if nobody knows who did the original picture and cant give credit to them for it how can anybody else take credit for making any altercation to it whether it be slight or drastic when they arent the ones who did the original picture.

that is why i dont really care about getting credit for the alts that i do. i understand that a lot of people say that once its in the game that all claims to that pic are gone but i just done understand how people want to take credit and be given credit for what they did to someones original work and not give credit to the original artist, but when someone does an alt of another persons alt, they start talking about how they deserve credit for doing the most of the work while the second alt maker only change the eyes or some small thing.

i understand taking credit for the work you do, some of the people(this could just be the way im interpreting what theyre saying) seem to be wanting all the credit or glory as you say, without giving credit themselves(im not sayin that is what everybody is doing it just seems that way). theyre on here complaining about somebody changing one small thing on an alt they did and taking credit for the whole alt and all the work(which i dont think is the case.) to an extent that is what everyone who makes alt's are doing theyre making changes to someone elses work.

its fine to take or ask for credit for the work you do im not saying its not i just dont see why its been made into such a big deal.

I play guitar and I have to say that, the size may not be perfect (needs to be a little bigger), but the angle from the strap looks fine to me. Besides, its an alt and doesn't need to be perfect, although it is pretty close! Any chance of when you get the time doing the Jeff Hardy esque face paint?

I think they will really take off man!! it adds a little something extra to the cornellverse to have some championship alts (especially for the big guys who you tend to put the big titles on). In no way would it be possible to give an alt for every major superstar in every major company with... well.. every belt... However, just a world title one could be good. Give the main belt some sense of mystique to it.

Even if these are the only ones you churn out. Good work!! They look great.

Currently midway through march in my training fed league. Furtherest I've been into the game in ages. And I was just thinking about signing Hell's Bouncer as I wanted a big mountain of a guy to back up Ted Brady and rough up all the pantywaist cruisers in my company with D's and E's in toughness. Ended up with Giant Brody instead. But I've been looking at guys this game I normally wouldn't to try and school guys. Had Primal Rage in for a bit as well and if I'd thought, I could have kept him to work with Brady. But Rage's attitude annoyed me so once his Loose Cannon storyline with Air Attack Weasel was over, I dumped Rage. But yeah, the point here is that being able to see guys through fresh eyes is a very good thing.

I agree totally. That's why I was looking for this masked psychopath version of Hell's Bouncer. I really like what he brings to the table, however, his look has become quite old to me after continous games with it.

I think with this persona he could really end up rising up the ranks in my SWF game. He's going to start out on my "B" show, however, at some point... Will work up against a huge feud with Vengeance... (Vengeance being the face monster). Could be a cool big man feud.

Hell's Bouncer is also one of my favourite big guys, loved him in a DAVE game years ago.

Sorry, can't do those. I tried it with the pictures that I found and the end result just plain sucked. I really prefer doing just Cornellverse related alts, without any real world masks or facepaints because they are much harder to edit and the alts will not look good no matter what I try. :o If I recall correctly Stink and Grunt do have "Warlord" alternatives here somewhere, you should check those out!

A bit of a special one here - I'm after a really specific set of alternatives if anyone feels up to it.

I'm repackaging a few people in 21CW as the Blood Pact which is from a Warhammer 40,000 series of books. They wear red overalls and are generally described as wearing bronze masks that are either hooknosed or have other wierd things going on with them. Whereas I realise this is not an easy task, I would be thrilled if someone could give these a try -

The Workers: Angel De Mexico, Soul Taker, Enrico Merino, and Rebelde Loco
The Change: Well, they are becoming a heel stable that's basically a faceless hord. So I'm thinking either non-luchadore masks or even face paint that's creepy and/or evil. Something along the lines of Slipknot masks could work as well. Not completely over the top, but definitely something that would stand out. Put it this way - I was going to use one of the creepy clown alts for one of them, but I figured I'd see what people could come up with on here (plus didn't really want to use the clown for this group). Matching bodies would be cool, too, even if its just putting them all in dark shirts or something.

Hoping someone can come up with some good stuff on this one. You guys always do!

The Peverell one was kind of hard because on his original pic he has one eye closes which looks really stupid when you put paint around it. But since I've already opened his eye now I can try some other paints if you want.

I'd guess only the original artist could actually remove the shoulder pads (if he still has the render). I'm sure somebody could put a different upper body underneath the faces but I'm really bad at matching skin tones so all I came up with is putting the Spirits in shirts, instead.

How do you guys change the colors in the masks ?

It's pretty easy with Photoshop once you have the stuff you want to change selected. There's a menu where you can easily change color, brightness and saturation. I couldn't really give you a tutorial if that's what you're looking for. I have a German version of Photoshop so naturally everything's in German and I don't have a clue how most of the stuff is called in the English versions ;)

Could I get this Donnie J, without the face paint.

Sure, no problem. I also realized that Donnie might look even better with only half of the face paint, so here's that variation as well.

Also, on the Jumbo Jackson, I hate to bother you, but would it be possible to make the shoulder pads black, or silver?

Like I said above, changing colors isn't all that hard, so it's not a problem. It didn't come out really, really black nor is it really silver, more different shades of grey but it should do I hope.

Is it possible to get Jack Bruce, Casey Valentine, Cameron Vessey, Edward Cornell and Ash Campbell in aflication gear ?Your pics have fast made this my most popular stable and i think my B brand should have the "next generation" version lead by Jack

I had to zoom in on some of these guys to make it fit and that might have hurt the quality (especially with Casey). And the Vessey one is kind of though, too, because the original pic is so dark. I did also darken the stuff I put on him to make it fit but it's not perfect by a long shot.

I tried tidying up your Blade alt a little and make the edges of the paint smoother before adding the pads. I hope you don't mind. I might do the same to the Sledge alts because I really like them and have used them before in a USPW game but they do look like you lost some quality when saving them as JPEGs...
