Anybody fancy taking a stab at Giant Tana? He's waaaay too happy for how I want to use him. I know there are a few alts already but here's my plan...

Tana will turn heel and become "Big Nasty" Tana Umaga. I just want him looking a bit more badass so longer hair, dark sunglasses, maybe a beard/stuble and a black vest?

I fully understand it's a big job doing Tana up like that and if nobody can do it then that's cool, but if anyone is willing to take a stab at it then that's what I'm looking for.

Honestly, I don't have a clue. I got it from my massive .bmp file of random bits and pieces. I believe I used the same beard on a Sean McFly alt when I first started doing them, and that was well over a year back. Even this alt I actually did ages ago. Gumble was supposed to have a beard in Episode 1 of my diary, but I changed my mind when I rethought out the character arc.

but if I were a betting man, I'd probably say Teddy.

For those who've been reading my PSW diary... KILLER Colossus (Larry Wood) was severly burned in an "inferno match" against Alex Braun. I was hoping to land an alt for him that would go with the recent events!!

Saw this as a challenge...and then wished I hadn't! It's a really awkward alt to do, mainly because Wood has so much hair that you're left with very little of him if you take it all away. Plus, his face and body are so lacking colour!

Anyway, I've done a spin on it. I'm sure FIN or one of the other alt experts will manage a better shot at this - I've been kind of left in the alt-slipstream in the past 12 months! :D

Paul Huntingdon (that's Aristocrat, right?) was originally going to play "Uriel" in FCK, but the gimmick never worked out. Shame, because I spent a good couple of days working on this sucker.

It's just that when one opens his post with "Sorry but could i please get the Elmo Benson one without him smiling and without the headband" without even thanking for the other seven alts I just made for him. Yes, it read in the request but I missed it.

The thing is that 1.) Not only he didn't thank for any alt, 2.) He quite blatantly asked for the edit, 3.) Right in the second post he made three requests more.

It would have been okay if he would have said the default "Thank you, etc." stuff. Then with a better tone ask for the edit on the alt that I just made, and then even more politely ask for another set of alts. But no.

well thank you for the compliment, and yeah I know what you mean about Bruce, I haven't downloaded any alts for him that were made here and still there is an enormous amount in the data base. I just didn't want it to come off like i was saying I could do a better job or anything.

You both are welcome. Glad I could help out. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this alt thing, because I'm getting better results in a shorter length of time. I guess it helps choosing one program and sticking with it, rather than jumping around trying to use multiple ones.

Seeing as I've always thought Tamara's pic never quite lived up to her Sex Appeal rating (she must have a killer bod) I've been playing with this. She has SO much hair, but... This is actually the first alt work I've done for a while, so we'll see.

My third attempt. The first two I tried to put a new hairstyle on top, and it failed spectacularly, so I took another approach. Remi, you mentioned Dharma, so I threw the Dharma jacket on there (although it seems more commonly used with the Can-Am Blondes therese days) and you mentioned Britney Hollywood, so I snagged her earrings. I tried something with the Neptune-style shades, but... Seethrough shades, man. Bane of my existance.

May have another crack later, and I got the idea for a couple of offshoot alts that might be nifty in a totally different way. We'll see though. I've got a pile of diary pics to put together today.

Oh, I know. It's pretty much an entirely new render. I used to annoy Clarity for those. :p

The ones above are ridiculously good though. They work awesome as alts of her main look, being slightly updated but not complete revamps. I'm using 'em for the comeback (when she reverts to her previous identity).

That one right there is a MASSIVE change and just what I was looking for. Still, I'd love to see the alts you come up with beyond this. I can use any and all since they give more options when developing characters over long games and/or new saves (one reason Missy Masterson and Amy Galaxy are so malleable to me).

Yeah, it's up to personal preference - in my honest opinion - how much you want the characters to look different.

It's a tough balancing act. I think it's important for alts to look different; they have to present a new twist on a character after all and sometimes a goatee or a different hairstyle doesn't really do that, but it's always tricky to make them not look too different. It has to still look like the same person as in the original picture. It's a line I wasn't sure if I'd crossed with Tamara. Side by side with the original it looks okay though. Same girl, different outfit. I'm pretty proud of it.

Those are great takes on Tamara. I've got a gimmick/persona in mind for every one of them which, obviously, gives new life to a very old character. Thanks tons, guys! :)

Self, you have a point but there are also instances where a drastic or dramatic change is necessary and very well placed. Stunning vs Stone Cold Steve Austin is a good example. Many times, a mere change in attitude and character/gimmick isn't enough. That's where I was with Tamara. Heck, I was there with Geena the Warrior Princess in 07 before someone did an alt of her (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/Kension/Misc/LFC%20Diary/GeenaWainwright.jpg) for me. That is quite the drastic change, no? :)

Dramatic changes in personality and gimmick are awesome. There's just a limit to how much you can change the picture before it stops looking like the original person. I'm really proud of that Tamara I did, because it gives her a fresh new look, but it's still the same girl. Same eyes. Same nose. Same Tamara.

This may be controversial, but I'm not a fan of FINisher's Steve Flash-Sting alt. Don't get me wrong, it looks really cool... but it isn't Steve Flash. Those aren't his facial features. That's someone else's face pasted over Flash. Again, it looks incredibly bad ass, but it's not him. That's an example, to me, of an alt that's gone too far.

I don't usually debut Diary Alts here before my own thread, but Chitose's hardly a spoiler, so it's fine. Sara Marie... I've been working on her all day. The hair and lips were easy, but I kept trying different gimmicks and nothing clicked... so I plumped for a Christian Faith coat. Sort of going for an Angelic vibe, without being too blunt. Another old standard... I think I'm out of ideas.

Someone was asking for Freddie Datsun in another "more modern" shirt (instead of the good ol' plaid) and (among some other options) I put him in an Affliction shirt. People liked it, so I brought some other shirts into the mix and I'm pretty sure that's how it started. Of course by now, FIN has probably done more Affliction alts than me, because he's simply so much faster to answer requests ;)

Yeah I like that - however is there any chance you could perhaps add a harpoon in somewhere? I know this is REALLY picky so feel free to say no - but either him holding one or changing the design on the hat so it's clearly a harpoon is pretty key to the character!
