I don't know. Maybe different shades of gold (I was thinking the color of the Assassins' mask. Making the black a little darker might work.

EDIT: OK, I figured out why it didn't look right to me. Would it be possible to outline the gold with a dark red? Something like Eddie Guerrero's tights, maybe.

If someone could modify Whistler so instead of holding the US flag he's holding the Confederate flag that would be great.



With your logic, I had a thought for you. How about we get someone who looks even more the part than Whistler like a Dazzling Dave Diamond or Mad Dog Mortimer with that Confederate flag? Maybe sort of a protege for Whistler in SCCW as age is starting to catch up with him.

So I wasn't the original poster, but I have to say this is one of the better alts I've seen. I'm kinda wishing I wasn't playing a long term game with USPW where my idea for the character is a tad too edgy, but that is an awesome alt. For some reason I'd really like to see Erik Strong under that mask as Mason Dixon.

OMG That's F*CKING AWESOME MAN! I love how realistic you made the mask look! Just one thing, I forgot to mention one part of the mask that i'd like. If it's not too much trouble could you please add a Handlebar moustache made of fabric to the mask? Lol, i think it would really add to the "redneck" effect of the mask.

Went back in this thread to look for something specific and got a BUNCH of alts that I had either overlooked or didn't see. You guys are greatness!!! FIN you freakin' rule man!
ANYWAY I thought someone had requested an masked Jason O'Conner (aka CH Threepwood) so the protege could team up with his mentor Acid. I couldn't find the request (I COULD OF SWORN SOMEONE ASKED FOR THIS!) or any attempt at it. I was just gonna second this request, but I guess it don't exist lol. In his render O'Conner has a HUGE head so this maybe extremely difficult if not impossible. I don't think it has or really should look like Acid mask just black with some tribal or some sort of accent. Kinda like FIN did a mask alt of a Stone brother I believe it was a while back with white accents. AGAIN though O'Conner head is up really close so it may be impossible. If it is that's cool, just thought I'd ask for an attempt by someone. Thanks!

EDIT: Btw, whoever did the Brandon James alt I used as a base (without beard and with short hair) deserves ginormous props. That picture made having to more or less push him (because he simply refuses to lose to pretty much everybody and has creative control) bearable. I absolutely love it.

I actually tried to do it to the original CH picture, but yeah you're right the head is huge. I had to resize Acid's mask but it really didn't go well. But, with a little imagination and alternating Acids mask, I think that this was quite well and I would use it as CH alt if I paired him with Acid. :rolleyes:

Yeah I figured his head was to big :p. The dude's head is gigantic! As for different colors of Acid I think that would be awesome! Simply for the sake of different Acid alts!!! Maybe try red for the tribal like stuffs on the mask to fit in with the little Hayabusha-like paint in the top corner of his eyes. That be cool. Also wonder what it would look like if ya reversed the colors and outlines of that tribal stuff. Make it white and outlined in black instead of the other way around. - But your the man, I am sure whatever ya come up with will be great! Appreciate it!

That "shirt" that Stardust has, it's really hard to copy, or get it match with Remus because the face ratio. Jefferson has his face a lot more closer to the camera than Remus, and when tried to adjust it just didn't look good. Here's my attempts, I don't know if they were what you wanted :(

Liked the Owen Love a lot better. It's far easier to edit than the really bad quality Oscar Golden picture. I mean really, that dude has one of the worst quality pictures ever in TEW history. It's full of weird colour clitches etc. :o

The Barry Kingman I have in the hat (from elsewhere in this thread) does and that's why I asked for the suit, which is what seems to be causing trouble with Nigel. Maybe it'd work better without the suit. How do you even wrestle in a suit and hat? I think there might be a hat-wearing Kingman without a suit too, somewhere... A searching I will go.

If you running Vista, make sure that the file is not a "compatibility file". But I think that the renaming thing wasn't a good idea. Try using the _alt ending in files, and then go on and change the picture from the editor's picture list.

Try using another workers hat as that is what most of the gfx people do, cut stuff out of worker A's pic and put it in worker B's. That way you are maintaining the same quality/look. Of course not everything is like that I use some stuff I have found online but for the most it is easier to use existing things i.e. suits/masks

I've got a good GCG game going, and he's obviously an amazing talent, but I've never been a fan of his in-game picture, and I feel like it's holding him back. :D Something more along the lines of Haranobu Kobayashi's pic would be more what I'm looking for - something a bit more bad*** as the kids say, but I'm open to any takers. You've given me a really funny booking idea. Not anything that could be depicted in the alt of course. Just a bit of related fun. Imagine him taking this to its historic extreme. He has a "court clerk" carry powder for the wig and re-apply it at certain intervals of long matches. As well as in really desparate situations, using the wig powder to throw in the eyes of opponents. This could be an absolute classic.

I'd really like to take a shot on the render side of the work, I've actually got DAZ on my computer but haven't used it. (Wasn't that the program you guys use to do those and which the default ones have been done?)

Thanks. :) It's a much better likeness from straight on, but angling the camera resulted in a better overall look.

Yep, I use DAZ. Never gave Poser a try as I didn't want to shell out $300 for it.

You should give rendering a shot. It takes a while to get the hang of it but, once you do, it can be pretty fun. It can get expensive though, as anything beyond the basic figures is going to cost you. Good luck if you give it a shot! :D

Haha. Hey, it's great that you will be doing these aswell!! To be fair, it's easy when you get to know the basics.

I've done over.. Well. I think I'm closing on in 220 alts in just a few months or so.. :D It's been quite hectic, I have to admit. But have no worries, I won't have a burnout. If I don't feel like doing alts, I won't do them. Simple as that. ^^

As much as I want to commit and be part of the forum and community, I'm not going to burn myself out doing pictures. :)

220! I only managed 57 in my first attempts, and most of those were just clamping shades and suits onto people, your workrate is simply fantastic!

An unmasked Fumihiro Ota would be pretty cool. Especially if you could make it look like he was spraying mist (of varying colours) at people. Being a ninja is cool and all, but he'd be way cooler if he was more like Tajiri. :cool:
