I'm not all too sure what to write here, outside of explaining since the Render thread is used mainly for Renders, and the render request is obviously for that, where would those needing alternate cuts of C-Verse wrestlers go? The answer is this thread. Here's the format for requests.

Could somebody please put Paul Steadyfast in a lower face half mask for me and color the star on his forehead so it stands out more? Then he can be The Blue Star or The Red Star or what have you? That star is just begging to be capitalized on.

Very happy that this gets it's own thread this time out. Most alt pics aren't renders. We do them by photoshopping or in my case MSPainting and drawing on the pre-existing renders. It takes a slightly different set of skills, so should get a different thread.

Now just to let you know, I am far too busy to do any of these for a little while. Maybe at some point I'll get back into it, but for now I have too much to do. I'd prefer to wait for the demo anyway, to see what the C-Verse is going to look like.

Anywho I had a couple more ideas last night that could be fun.

Thomas Morgan in an artist's smock. Maybe with the dingy gray beret on his head as well.

Harry Allen in a beer helmet. He needs something to progress into once the inevitable demise of the Young Guns happens. Based on his gimmick stats, I could easily see Harry as a redneck party animal.

I completely agree with Self about alt pics getting there own thread. Unfortunately, like Self, I have a huge amout of other things going on right now. I'm not sure how much I can contribute to this thread currently, but I will check in from time to time and if there is something I can help with in what little spare time I have at the moment, I'll be happy to.

That is quite good Trypio. If it isn't too much, in the same vein... can Demon Anger be done with a helmet as well? It seems odd having one be a Viking, and the other not.

I can totally see why some of these weren't included, although with some I'm a little disappointed. The Panda Hash thing I thought was awesome, but I guess the character in Adam's head doesn't swing to the Panda-obsessed cult leader than I envisioned. :)

I am not currently taking requests. I'm too busy with other things right now. Making alternate pictures was an incredibly satisfying part of my life several months back, but I've moved on. The thrill of seeing my name on the TEW08 credits may be enough to get me back doing it, but not for a while. Hopefully someone else will jump on to do some.

Just a general comment...please be patient with requests in this thread - there aren't many people that do these and, like Self, I'm personally not really able to give my time to it at the moment.

Also be aware that it is much, much easier to add something to a render than to take something away - particularly face paint, masks and headgear! So those kind of requests will probably take a lot longer to be dealt with.

Finally...love 'Repo Prince', Self! :D I must have missed that one before. Not sure if it's what you were shooting for, but it immediately made me think of Barry Darsow!

MSPaint is a fine program. The only major problem I have with it, is that when you save a JPG with it, the quality is awful. It's well worth downloading GIMP or another free program just so you can save your full quality .bmp files to a decent quality .jpg.

(Can't rate the work you did, I have no idea what the original looked like... Really should start playing TEW08)

Man, now that I'm back home from Maine maybe I can thank you without the site arguing with me that I'm not signed in properly.

Steadyfast looks pretty good. Maybe a little brighter on the star and the mouth closed in so it's not quite so obvious it's him. But definitely captures the concept. Morgan looks great and I like the Harry Allen too. Good work mate. Keep it up.

Agreed, especially because it was my idea in the first place. I highly recommend the tarzan, as then he makes a great tag partner to Jungle Jack, and I have an odd feeling that it would actually be a really good tag team, especially because Matty can always turn on Jungle Jack by resuming the monkey and smacking Jack with a banana or something, maybe fling some poo. Now THAT would be an event no one would ever forget. The (probably) first heel turn using thrown excrement as a focal point.

Would it be possible to get Aaron Andrews in a syndicate style suit? I know that the suit thing is becoming par for the cause but I really want to introduce Andrews into the syndicate to have Cornell and his two students together.

Also, would it be possible to get Cornell's suit slightly altered. For some reason his black suit, white shirt alt doesn't look quite as dapper as the other members of the Syndicate, even the eternally scruffy Sam Keith! And I think the champ should look the part!

You need a decent photo editing program - Photoshop is what most will use. But anything similar will do - basically you need something that will enable you to cut and paste parts of one picture on to another. And then you need to blend colours a little so that it isn't obvious. You're creating layers and then mixing them together to create a finished product that doesn't just look like its bits of different layers cobbled together.

I just use bits from other C-verse pics, or else just find something off the internet. Mostly you can scavenge off renders already done. Here's an example of a wrestler 'accessorised' only using bits from other pictures, as I still had various stages of completion saved!

Started off with the former Jeff Amazon pic...now random male 05.

Not sure where I got the hair from - some other render. It actually looks really bad at the top but you can't really see it because it's covered by Texas Pete's hat!

Added a couple more bits and pieces. I think that's Tijuana Vampire's coat and it looks like the beard is from either one of the Warlords.

Then recoloured the hat so the band was purple and not red. Darkened the coat so it was more black. Also put less brightness on the beard and hair so they came out darker. Finally cut around the eyes and pasted them on top as a new layer, which I again just darkened a little bit. And you get the final outcome.

Just a little word of advice if you request a render, If you had said: "Muscular guy, Green Mohawk and some tribal tattoos with a ****y look about him" That leaves alot of creative freedom and there'd be more chance of a renderer saying, he or she will give it a go. Requests down to his "stubble, brown eyes and a slight smile" means no creative freedom what so ever and tends to put a renderer off as there really is no fun in creating a character (for free) down to the smile on his face. I hope that didn't sound rude as I wasn't trying to be.

Anyway, back to what I came in here for in the first place, could someone please make me a Cameron Vessey with Sting (surfer bleach blonde days) face paint. Thanks to whoever carries this out for me!!!

Oh okay. Now that I get the "Raven" tie, that would be pretty cool. Did need it pretty much spelled out for me though. I don't tend to read modern comics too much. I tend to find the art too over-stylized. When I want a comic book fix, I usually turn to the Showcase or Essential comps and go old-school. That way I don't feel guilty about paging through to read the story rather than stopping and gawking at all the gallery-quality artwork.

I think it's the ears that keep the mask from working to full effect. Or it could be the hair. Does anybody else in the C-Verse have brownish hair and a black mask?
