Title Name: The Millennium Belt

Notes: Main Event. Entertainment brawling promotion. Not necessarily old-school, but definitely not modern. Belt name is a reference to the Yu-gi-oh anime (which I don't really know too much about, but they had a bunch of mythical Egyptian "millennium" items which were highly sought after. It's the same same concept with the belt (although, an Egyptian theme is not required))

Title Name: Strap Of The Gods

Notes: Main Event. Marvel comic based promotion. Some dark red in it matching the logo would be nice, but not a requirement. The concept is that it is a belt which literally belonged to gods. So something grand and classic would be great. Promotion name should probably be left off it, I'm thinking.

Yep, took the look pretty much straight from the WWE title. Even took the SWF Winged Eagle title I did and chopped it up. I thought it came out rather "authentic" and original looking.

My promotion(in my head,lol) is called VIKING: Pro Wrestling Alliance and is referred to usually as simply "VIKING". It probably has most in common with the likes of the NWA and WcW, with an emphasis on history and grandeur even though unlike the NWA their an upstart company with a lot of financial backing. They have a strong liking for Work-rate and present their product as a sport like boxing or mixed martial art's rather than a melodrama or MTV show. The promotion operates in leagues, either weighted or based on style. The Weighted leagues are Heavyweight, Middleweight and Welterweight(cruiser's become abit generic methinks). and weightless leagues based on different styles with different rule sets, Pure: 3 count pins 1 or 3 falls, rope break and the like,speciality matches like submission and ironman. Hardcore: No rules pretty much and 5 count pinfalls,use of speciality matches like LMS and Barbed wire. Lucha: More lenient rules with 20 count outside of the ring and no rope breaks, emphasis on multi-man elimination bouts and speciality matches like ladders and scaffold. To give a chance to the young up and comers and forge the way for the acceptance of legitimate female wrestling they have also issued a Young Lions and Womans Championship.
The promotion also has a strong focus on tag team wrasslin' with their main event level tag team championships and a trios tag team title.

I would love titles made for all the titles in the promotion but realise that it's a big ask so I will list a "grand championship" title in lieu of the three weighted titles, the tag titles and the Pure title for a midcard. I'll also list the others in the hopes you really like my idea and feel as though the world will be changed, famine cured, wars ended and global warming reversed at the forming of my fantasy promotion with new awesomely rendered titles by the greatest graphic artist ever, ReapeR(not just blowing smoke, your really good). Or not, I understand :o .

BTW I wrote all this out also because it's about time I did, I want to make a diary at some point when I understand the game a bit better than I do(just updated to 05 from EWR and now to 08) and need to write down all my Ideas, I've been playing with the name and general theme of the promotion but have always started again a few months to a year in when a new mod catches my I or I change games(ewr-05-08), now I'm sticking to 08 and searching for the mod that fit's me best(any Ideas for mods btw? from around 97/8 up to 2001 would be awesome)., new custom belts would be the greatest.

Titles Requesting: VIKING Grand Champion: THE main event title, what everyone wants around there waist. Something along the lines of the USPW tele championship minus the American theme would be cool.

VIKING Tag Team Championship: Pretty self explanatory. Again something grand as the promotion treats/will treat the title like a mainevent/upper midcard title.

VIKING Pure championship: I think ROH has a Pure title(I don't watch them so i'm not sure) so I stole the idea(as they probably did).

Now for the titles I REALLY(really) want but totally understand if there not even considered(and apologise if it's even rude to ask).

Heavyweight Champion: Main event. Unlike other feds the Heavyweight title is one of three main titles and not the main focus at all.

Middleweight Champion: See above.

Welterweight Champion: See above.

Hardcore Champion: Upper/Mid card, I like the Idea of a worn and torn title but not so much a stolen broken world title glued together.

Pure Champion: Upper/Mid card, much like the Intercontinental title in looks(when it was legit) or the NWA tele title.

Lucha Champion: Upper/Mid card, I see it looking much like your TCW All Action title or the SWF shooting star title.

Woman's Champion: Upper/Mid card, It would be cool to have something more along the lines of a world heavyweight or U.S title rather than the usual cutesy pink woman's fare you usually see, their competitors not a sideshow distraction.

Young Lions Champion: Lower Mid/Mid card, maybe something a bit hip like the NEO belts you made up.

Tag Team Champion's: Upper/Main card, already listed above.

Trios Champion's: Mid Card, I really like the look of the AWA U.S title you made, something like that.

Again, sorry if even asking is out of line but I'm kinda excited about finally making a long lasting game and playing out a few years, if your willing to do it but only a bit at a time that would be awesome. Even if you do the three I mentioned it would be above and beyond what I could(and should) hope for and be greatly appreciated.

VIKING Tag Team Championship: Pretty self explanatory. Again something grand as the promotion treats/will treat the title like a mainevent/upper midcard title.

VIKING Pure championship: I think ROH has a Pure title(I don't watch them so i'm not sure) so I stole the idea(as they probably did).

Now for the titles I REALLY(really) want but totally understand if there not even considered(and apologise if it's even rude to ask).

Heavyweight Champion: Main event. Unlike other feds the Heavyweight title is one of three main titles and not the main focus at all.

Middleweight Champion: See above.

Welterweight Champion: See above.

Hardcore Champion: Upper/Mid card, I like the Idea of a worn and torn title but not so much a stolen broken world title glued together.

Pure Champion: Upper/Mid card, much like the Intercontinental title in looks(when it was legit) or the NWA tele title.

Lucha Champion: Upper/Mid card, I see it looking much like your TCW All Action title or the SWF shooting star title.

Woman's Champion: Upper/Mid card, It would be cool to have something more along the lines of a world heavyweight or U.S title rather than the usual cutesy pink woman's fare you usually see, their competitors not a sideshow distraction.

Young Lions Champion: Lower Mid/Mid card, maybe something a bit hip like the NEO belts you made up.

Tag Team Champion's: Upper/Main card, already listed above.

Trios Champion's: Mid Card, I really like the look of the AWA U.S title you made, something like that.

Again, sorry if even asking is out of line but I'm kinda excited about finally making a long lasting game and playing out a few years, if your willing to do it but only a bit at a time that would be awesome. Even if you do the three I mentioned it would be above and beyond what I could(and should) hope for and be greatly appreciated.

BTW ReapeR, could I ask what program you use to make the belts? I assume Gimp or Photoshop but where did you get the assets? I've been getting more interested in graphic design and made a couple of new things since the logo I posted, still very simple but I'm actually taking time in trying to learn how the program works(gimp atm) rather than having an idea and giving up ten minutes latter when I can't figure out how to do something.

VIKING: Pro Wrestling Alliance

My promotion(in my head,lol) is called VIKING: Pro Wrestling Alliance and is referred to usually as simply "VIKING". It probably has most in common with the likes of the NWA and WcW, with an emphasis on history and grandeur even though unlike the NWA their an upstart company with a lot of financial backing. They have a strong liking for Work-rate and present their product as a sport like boxing or mixed martial art's rather than a melodrama or MTV show. The promotion operates in leagues, either weighted or based on style. The Weighted leagues are Heavyweight, Middleweight and Welterweight(cruiser's become abit generic methinks). and weightless leagues based on different styles with different rule sets, Pure: 3 count pins 1 or 3 falls, rope break and the like,speciality matches like submission and ironman. Hardcore: No rules pretty much and 5 count pinfalls,use of speciality matches like LMS and Barbed wire. Lucha: More lenient rules with 20 count outside of the ring and no rope breaks, emphasis on multi-man elimination bouts and speciality matches like ladders and scaffold. To give a chance to the young up and comers and forge the way for the acceptance of legitimate female wrestling they have also issued a Young Lions and Womans Championship.
The promotion also has a strong focus on tag team wrasslin' with their main event level tag team championships and a trios tag team title.

Lol, I was going to say that to the first guy who quoted but didn't want to look like a smartarse.

I know, 13 titles is a lot but my idea is for the promotion to operate like 3 separate promotions(promoted and booked by the same team, the separation is kayfabe) with individual names(not 100% on what they are yet) and distinctive style(pure, hardcore, lucha) under the control of a central organisation, with some cross promotional shows every now and again. Something along the lines of a cross between the NWA and WWE(when the brands were enforced). In the game it would probably be run under one promotion with 3 brands.

ReapeR, I'll get back to you on what 3 titles I'd like. Cheers.

BSW Northwestern Championship- However you see fit to make this title look is fine with me, I would like the strap to be blue.

The promotion is National Wrestling Federation, and is a very old school type of promotion based out of the Mid South. The company uses this logo (courtesy goes to Kamchatka and whoever originally requested it):

thanks for the compliments and feedback. This title was actually not too hard as I just colered in a black and white template with minor edits.

I was thinking the same about the strap and just redid it. I tried bevelling on this one, but had some issues with it this time, and it made things look worse so aside from the gold border on the main plate I levft everything unbeveled. not sure what I was doing wrong, normally it works fine.

I think a small part of the flat look also has to do with it being from a template because I couldn't drop shadow the different comonents of the belt like usual, only the whole plates.

Not really sure how to do trophies so I took the easy way out on this on and put a lion on top of an existing trophy with minor edits. If anyone has ideas for how to make the lion look more realistic, I'm all ears.

I was going to pm this, but thought it might be good to post in the open for those looking to learn how to make belts so you can see some of the process (note it's saved in stages, so you can see the progress and always go back if you mess it up)....

Spent a few hours working on one of the titles for my promotion and could use some ideas for things to add to it. This is the Universal Grand Champion Title, which is a level above world title and is won in an interpromotional tournament. Very nice. Here are some suggestion that I would do if these were mine.

1. Take the designs that you have in the background and give them pillow emboss with a 90 degree angle, or keep the angle the same as it seems that's the look you like. Either way works just fine. Make sure you emboss them seperately and take off the drop shadow.

2. Use and outside bevel on the center guy and the 4 stars around the title.

3. If you really want them to stand out, try selecting them and starting a new layer. With the new layer, stroke it with maybe a size 5, definately no larger than 10. Use the same color as the main plate, bevel it and gradient the stroke layer seperately. This is more of an option than anything. Even I don't use it that much.

4. Go ahead and "hollow" out the letters. Anywhere there is black in a hole (i.e, the C, A, O etc.)

That's all I can think of currently. But this should help give you that 3D look. Either way, I absolutely love the look of this title.

1. Not familiar with pillow embossing and it's not something that is part of my graphics program when I searched for it. As far as I can tell I can use the emboss feature under texture (but it's nonadjustable and looks bad), or as part of the layer style (adjustable, but limited and I'm not sure it's an improvement). So I looked it up and found this link http://www.ggi-international.com/en/products/membrane/graphic/embossing.php to see if I could work around to get the same effect, and looking at the pics I'm wondering how it's different than a drop shadow? -which confuses me even more as you said to get rid of the drop shadow

2. With these last two titles the bevel has been confusing me a bit. I've literally beveled everything on the title with an outer bevel and nearly everything with an inner bevel as well (aside form the unfilled name plates on the sides and the silver parts) and everything worked as expected. Going back now, selecting these images and outer beveling...and...I don't see it doing anything (even when I magnify the effect size to ridiculous levels)which is leaving me a bit confused.

3. not sure what you're talking about here, doesn't sound like anything I'm familiar with. can you post a link or example as to what this effect does.

4. haven't gotten to this yet, but shouldn't be too hard.

I figured out the beveling problem and will get back to working on that in a few days (seems the object being beveled has to be on the same layer as the object behind it). I also came up with a better technique for the lion trophy and updated the line figure back on the original post. Used inner bevelling for that.

Well, these are what I use with Photoshop CS3. Not sure what you're using so it might be different. So I'm really no help there. As for the strap, I don't even use a light effect on it. Just the plates.

I love how ReapeR and liontamer's have two distinct styles going on for themselves. Both recognizably theirs, but close enough so that the belts could work together in a database together.

We all know about the awesomness of ReapeR, but it's gotta be said that I'm loving the look of liontamer's too. The color of his gold plating especially stands out to me as well.

Now, I understand that this is in NO WAY even remotely close to work that Reaper or Liontamer have been producing, but for my own use, it will work. I have been playing around a bit, and have been 'studying' (lol) the video produced by Payne.

When these guys say it takes hours to make 1 belt... man they ain't kidding! This one (as simple as it is) has taken me a few hours. trying to get the this or the that that I want.

The detail is NO WHERE near the others as I said earlier, but hey, ya got to start somewhere.. right :D

what program did you use? the image is very pixelated which I think affected your design appearance by breaking it up. Not a bad 1st attempt though. If you ever have questions let me know and I'll try to answer.

I used Paint.net. When I made it, it was much bigger, I think (know) that when I shrunk it, it wreaked havoc on the pixels.

I have Photo shop, but I find it too darn confusing. I am starting out with this Paint.net to try and understand Photo shop a bit, kinda s a way to 'coax' my way into the more advanced system. lol

Well, shrinking it shouldn't do that much to it. All of my renders were either 400x800 or 800x1600 in the original size. can you post the original large pic?

Your trouble is that you're belt is too long for the picture. Its being squished up to fit, where as you want to probably just have it cut down a bit.

nice work on the latest belts reap.

Also a question for those requesting belts/trophies from myself (still not that good at trophies, but I'll try). It would likely be more time consuming, but I'm considering trying something new next year where I also have the belts all saved in a daz 3d or similar format to make them look even more 3d (If I can teach myself what to do to make it happen) and allow users to change lighting and background easier, position the belts how they want, and to allow those more savy with 3D software to put the belts around their workers or hang it over a ladder to advertise a ladder match for their diary or do whatever else they can think of.

Just wondering how much of an interest there is in this so I know if it's worth the trouble.

also FYI on where I am on my requests, I do have a small request backlog, but I'm also much slower at churning belts than reaper. If you need a belt, I'll try to get to it, but you may have to wait a bit as I generally only get a few out a month.

I'm also trying to help another board member with learning how to do belt renders so if you want I could include your belt as part of that project.

The whole premise of the fed is that its good solid wrestling that doesnt care about the glitz and glamour so I'd like titles that reflect that (probably using steel).

- Really just a nice title to use. Perhaps (due to the logo) base it on the Stone Cold Flaming skull title?

Well, I'm down to about 36 titles to go, and that's counting the private requests.

So... if you have a request on the boards that are for more than 3 requests, you might want to go back and edit out the ones you don't want. I'm not going to choose the 3 I do for you. Therefore, if I get to your request and it is for more than 3, I'll skip you.

Not trying to come across like a jerk or anything, just want everyone to have a fair share.
