I have simmed 2 years so far and a couple of things have happened like Kontusia The Clairvoyent getting arrested for a year because of tax evasion, Myami retiring because of an injury, and ESE, XKW, and DWA all going out of business in the same year. That is all that has happened so far aside from Piranha overdosing and some people getting caught with drugs or steriods and Jeff Lawson was wrestler of the year for 2009.

ESE and XKW are common candidates to go under, DWA is a little more surprising though.

Yeah, I've made a semi-New Years resolution to fill in the missing members from the first Beta, so he'll get done sooner or later. I've made Garlick active in the US for the time being as well (as I've done with most workers who are only active in regions other than the US or Canada). Speaking of the next Beta, I'm still in need of adding a few more fulltime tag teams (including some featuring older workers who could have been active during the 1990's), so any submissions on that front would be very welcome. Apart from fulltime teams, I'm also interested to hear of any tag teams anyone has made from current GDS-Verse workers. I'll likely use a few of these to pad out the tag divisions in several promotions.

Wildside Stevens looks nothing like I first envisioned him but then I changed him up and put him in a wheelchair so I dig it. Tumbleweed Smyth on the other hand is everything I could have imagined and more.

I thought I'd better check in and make an update.

I've really been struggling to get online over the past fortnight, hence no real activity from me and a delay in answering PM's. Adding to the fun, my graphics card has all but died on me, meaning most of my freetime has been spent trying to get my PC to run for long enough to be use it for more than a few minutes without it crashing and restarting over and over. Sadly, I'll have to wait until pay day at the end of the month before I can buy a new one.

I've been continuing to put a lot of work into the GDS-Verse, especially looking forward past the Beta stage. I've got an exciting (well it might be to some of you ;)) announcement about the mod to make in the very near future and a whole bunch of PM's to send out and reply to. It's just being able to find the time (and being able to get online) to do so.

As for the second Beta. Again, as soon as I can get sorted, I'll get it uploaded.

Also for those of you who have been visiting ReapeR's belt thread, you may have noticed several awesome new belt renders for the GDS-Verse. I've had the ESE and Wisney belts for a little while now and they were to be included with the new Beta, but due to the delay in getting that up, I'm going to post them here so that people can add them ahead of time and generally appreciate ReapeR's work.

I started playing this mod today and, so far, I've been very impressed with it. I've been playing as Pro Wrestling Shark and my owner gave me the "Can't sign anyone with below D- Reputation" goal and I realised that so many people have extremely low reputations but their personalities are often social, loyal, humble, etc.

The industry reputation, as a stat is designed to start off at 100% and be reduced when something causes them to have a bad reputation (such as trouble with the law, drug use, etc) and it seems that this stat has been highly misunderstood.

Ah, misunderstanding on my part. Thanks for setting it straight. I'm not sure why, for some reason I had it in my head to treat it more like an off-shoot of business rep stat. I checked the help file enough for numerous things, yet for some reason never picked up on it... :o

I'll get on to altering that for each and every worker right away. It's quite an ambiguous stat in a way. Just filtering the C-Verse default data, very few workers have anything below and A* rating with Edd Stone the only really notable one, with a C+ rating. It's something I really need to test a bit more, to grasp how much would it take to force the stat down to a D- level, where it would relevant to the goal.

A couple of extra options for teams couldn't hurt. ;)

I couldn't find anything on Stevens other than his record to import over. He's not so much a dreamboy, but then he should be going downhill a bit anyway. I did try and find a wheelchair prop for Poser though, without any luck. Glad Tumbleweed fitted the bill, I managed to get Hickory Jensen done too awhile ago. He should be on my memory stick somewhere.... Ah!

Keep in mind with the renders that there will be some limits (depending on what props are needed), but I’ll try where possible to compromise should I need to do something that Poser won’t let me do. GDS-Verse Beta 2.0 Now Available.

The second installment of the GDS-Verse Beta is now available to download on the first page. This version doesn't feature any groundshattering changes, but does contain the following:

(o) Several fixes, bio errors, contract errors, movelist corrections, etc
(o) Stat adjustments for numerous workers (although not the full overhaul that is needed to balance the lower levels of the data)
(o) New renders for nearly all of the new characters as well as some that were missing from Beta 1.0
(o) ESE, Wisney and IGC belt images courtesy of ReapeR and 'experimental' TV show logos, courtesy of me.
(o) Some limited additional title lineage (still pretty bare, as I'm leaving room for potential new characters to have a place in history)

Baring in mind that I've rendered nearly 400 characters for the GDS-Verse already, please try not to be too vague with the description. I'm at the stage where I need a little more than 'c0cky, goodlooking' to go on. Even if you don't have real preference on some aspects of the render, just posting something along the lines of 'looks a bit like INSERT', would be good whether it's a real life person or another render. I didn't want to complicate the Beta too much with this, since Sadler's bio in the final version refers to a future date.

That sounds good to me and gives the universe a little more depth. Although, I'm doubting some people would use him as a wrestler since he's probably a better referee.

Thinking of releasing a picture pack of alternate pictures for newly generated workers by the game.

The lighting settings I use are based on the wonderfully free Luminous Lights download at renderosity. Then I just modify it somewhat to and move some of the lights more centrally and then lower the intensity levels of the main lights from 100% to around 18-20%. Apart from that, again using the main lights, I set the colours to around even levels with red just slightly more prominant around the 600 mark.

That's the link for the lighting section, although unless it's just me, the link for Luminous Lights seems to be dead now :( I'll have to try and figure out how to save an export my lighting settings as a seperate file... would help if I hadn't lost my instruction booklet for Poser.

On the user character. Yeah, it has been mentioned. The final version has one totally awesome character with the highest rep to end all rep. I guess it wouldn't hurt just to throw together a masked avatar style character too.

Primarily...

- Referees and Announcers
- Characters who'd be reaching their prime in the 90's
- Out and out low-skilled jobbers.
- Full Time Tag Teams (this means teams in general, but again some duos who would have been active around 80's to 90's)

Those are the areas least populated. Obviously some of the 80's and 90's based workers can turnover as Road Agents in the next few years, so that would kill two birds with one stone.

But also this is just a final reach out to newer members of the forums, longtime lurkers or fellow procrastinators who haven't submitted anything yet, if they'd like to be involved.

Of course, new characters don't 'have' to tick those boxes above, but gameplaywise it would help if some did.

Well the GDS-Verse only has the US and Canada as functioning areas right now, so they'd ideally be based or available to work in at least one of those regions. The lighting settings I use are based on the wonderfully free Luminous Lights download at renderosity. Then I just modify it somewhat to and move some of the lights more centrally and then lower the intensity levels of the main lights from 100% to around 18-20%. Apart from that, again using the main lights, I set the colours to around even levels with red just slightly more prominant around the 600 mark.

LAST CALL ON CHARACTER SUBMISSIONS

With the second Beta now available, I'm concentrating all my efforts on a finalised version of the GDS-Verse. This is significant because Adam has offered to add the completed version of the Verse as an additional fictional database packaged with TEW. Just to clarify, this will be as a standalone database, NOT an extension of the Cornellverse.

Due to finalising the data, I'm doing a Last Call on characters for the completed version. That means this is the LAST chance to contribute a character or team to the data as I'll only be accepting new character submissions until APRIL 5th 2009. Following that date, I'll be spending my time intergrating characters into the data (more on that below) and pulling everything else together, therefore not taking any new additions.

Thanks to recent submissions, the areas where characters were a bit lacking is looking better now (Referees, Announcers, Low-skilled jobbers, Tag Teams and Characters who'd be reaching their prime in the late 80's - 90's), although a few more certainly wouldn't hurt.

The character submission form (as always) is available on the first page of this thread.

Based on the feedback I've received so far, one of the key areas people wanted to see developed were the expansion of bios and history in order to relate to many of the characters more. So going from the ground up almost, I'm trying to go through each character one by one, adding more depth to them and interwining them with other characters or parts of the GDS-Verse. To aid me with this, I'm also thinking of creating a GDS-Verse Handbook, providing a bit more of crash-course on details and events that I couldn't quite do justice through bios alone, hoping they replicate the use of the C-Verse site articles and features. This maybe time-dependent though, since I've got a lot to do in general and these days, I seem to get a lot less time to do everything.

With the Final Version in mind, I have a few things on my checklist to change from the Beta versions.

(Definite Changes)

- Adding a third major promotion to the Ratings War (I want to differentiate the set-up from the C-Verse a bit more, where the default data has just two main players in North American from the outset - SWF & TCW).
- Adding a Womens promotion (and generally more women to the database).
- Adding another user character or two (specifically one in the Grand Avatar mould).

(Potential/Considered Changes)

- Overhaul Canada… or at least provide DWA with some competition.
- Expand the MMA scene, possible MMA promotion.
*I'll continue to add new items if they come up.

Apart from those specific changes, other tasks to be completed include - filling out promotion rosters, continuing to make stat adjustments to balance the gameworld out more (especially at the lower end of the scale), filling in title histories and other general work to 'complete' the database.

Going on the stats from Megaupload alone, nearly 200 people (plus however many have used bobinc) have downloaded this mod since the original Beta was uploaded. So please, feel free to post any thoughts on what you would like to see done for the Final Version. I appreciate any feedback.

Also, I haven't pumped out too many renders lately (suffering a little Poser burnout), but alas I've tried to get back into the groove again to produce a few new ones...

Bios:

Darien Leonhart (aka "The Prettiest Man Alive") is an American pro wrestler noted in the industry for his handsome looks and freakish athleticism. Was named people magazines "sexiest man alive" in 2007, a first for a wrestler. Despite these qualities, many in the wrestling business feel that Leonhart has thus far underperformed expectations, as there are those that thought he would be a bigger star by now. Only time will tell if those predictions eventually become true.

Leonhart is also (more infamously) known as the leader of "The 5 Star Posse", a group of 5 best friends (Darien Leonhart, Sean Olbermann, Squall Strife, Orlando Kennedy and Kobe Paul) who controlled who got pushed on the World Wrestling Association card from 2005-2007 with agressive backstage politics which mostly benefited themselves. Many in the industry think that it was Leonhart and his ilk who prevented WWA from ever reaching prominence, and WWA owner Wiley Ed Randall seems to agree - he fired all 5 in 2007.

Teagan Leonhart is an American pro wrestler, fitness model and the 2005 Miss Universe. She was crowned miss teenage USA at the age of seventeen and won the Miss Universe pageant in 2005. Shortly before her brother Darien had begun a career in professional wrestling.

It is widely believed that it is Teagan who jump started her brothers career. WWA owner Wiley Ed Randall brought her in as her brothers manager, booking Darien as "The Prettiest Man Alive" and his sister as his manager, the "Most Beautiful Woman in the World." The gimmicks caught hold, and the two legitimately attractive wrestlers attracted mainstream media attention with the personas, both eventually landing spots on People Magazines 50 Most Beautiful people list in 2007.

The success didn't last long. Darien used his newfound star power to push himself to egregious levels of prominence within the promotion, creating a poisonous backstage environment. Teagan was fired in the fallout, and has been looking for work since.

From 2005-2007 he and his 4 best friends made up the 5 Star Posse, a group of who controlled who got pushed on the World Wrestling Association card with agressive backstage politics which mostly benefited themselves.

After having a fallout with the ownership of the World Wrestling Association that saw the entire group fired Olbermann's contract was not renewed when it expired in 2007. Since then he has drifted from promotion to promotion, struggling to find work without the backstage protection afforded him by Darien.

Bobby Clinton is better known by his wrestling persona 'Roachmouse'.

Born in Mt. Vernon, New York, Clinton's mother was a beauty parlor-owner and operator born in Georgia and raised in Harlem. His father, Reverend Denzel Clinton, was an ordained Pentecostal minister and also worked for the Water Department and at a local department store, "S. Klein". When Clinton was fourteen his parents' marriage took a turn for the worse and he and his older sister were sent away to boarding school so that they would not be exposed to their parents' eventual divorce.

Clinton got his start in wrestling as a single father working at a storage company in Texas. Looking to make a better life for himself and his son, when his sister Jane suggested that he check out a new wrestling school being opened he did, and the rest is history.

Lucifer "Black Mamba" Angelle was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, an only child and the son of two Olympians. When Angelle was six, his father turned pro in soccer, moved the family to the France, and started playing professional soccer there. Angelle became accustomed to the lifestyle there and learned to speak French fluently.

In 1991, the Angelle moved back to the United States, where he took up wrestling. Angelle earned huge recognition in the wrestling industry during a spectacular match with now defunct local promotion Midwest Extreme Wrestling (MEW). In 2004 he was signed by the International Grappling Company and has been on a rise ever since.

Her first job was at a hamburger restaraunt in Seattle called Jane's. In 2003, she moved to California and started working as a receptionist. Over time, people approached her about modeling, and she eventually tried it, figuring that if she didn't like it, she could stop. Her modeling eventually led to nude photo shoots.

Priest began watching wrestling with her boyfriend. In late 2006, Priest entered a contest held by (***Womens Promotion***) to find the next diva for the promotion. In December, she defeated 350 other girls for a spot on the roster and $10,000.

(***Womens Promotion Owner***) repackaged her as Anya Priest and teamed her up with Cassie Christ. Since then they have become a formidable tag team and two of the shows top draws.

Biography:
Orlando Kennedy is a veteran American professional wrestler best known for his time spent as a member of the 5 star Posse from 2005-2007. While Darien Leonhart was the biggest star of the group and it's public/most vocal leader, many in the industry believe that it was Kennedy that really pulled the strings of the group, as he received the biggest push of all those involved during their time controlling the backstage (he was previously a career opening level performer), and also because Darien looked at him as something of a father figure.

After Wiley Ed Randall fired all member of the group in 2007, only Kennedy was eventually brought back, and when he finally left the promotion for good at the end of 2007 it was on good terms with Randall. What he will do now, outside of the protective influence of the posse is unknown, as despite the huge increase in his popularity thanks to his push from 05'-07' he still posses no great talent of his own.

O.K sebs, here goes for my bio.

The Masked Orange is a generic wrestler from London, who moved to America in late 2007 to try and get an audience with the IGC. He didn't make it through the auditions, but they did say if he were to increase his popularity, selling and basics, and hijack a good gimmick, they would consider him as an opener. Probably because he also has acting and charisma to keep even a crappy gimmick interesting.

How do you do some of these renders?

The masked orange comes to mind. I'm guessing photoshop combined with poser?

I do all my postwork in Paint Shop Pro, but that's mainly to tweak lighting effects, smooth over flaws or poke-through errors, etc. I try to photoshop renders as little as possible though and always try to recreate what I need using items available for Poser.

For instance the Masked Orange render is mainly done in Poser. This probably sounds prentencious, but I find I learn more as an 'artist' (lol) if I do it this way. I could have just found an image of an orange, photoshopped it on, then photoshopped the mouth and eyes from another render, etc. Instead I used the basic ball/sphere object that comes with Poser, then googled for a free stock orange peel texture image. After a little cropping and painting on the black eye and mouth openings, I applied the orange texture to the sphere. The 'leaf' is actually DAZ's morphing flattop hairstyle, just thinned, stretched and then rotated to the left (not to mention coloured green). The face is then flattened using one of M2's many morph settings so that the tip of the nose, chin, etc don't poke through the sphere when manually placed on the character's head.

The only photoshopping was the mouth as the shadow cast was a bit too intense, so I rendered the figure with the 'orange' removed and then added that section as a seperate layer, altering the opacity value so that it stood out a bit more.

Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro are great tools to use, but it's important to try and experiment with things and not just resort to them straightaway. Afterall, you can't always find the images or object you want/need so it's a good idea to practice thinking outside of the box a bit, combining items to make new ones, etc. It's the same thing with the fudged MMA-style gloves I use for some of my WMMA renders. They basically consist of the wristbands from Xena's Wrestling Pack, fingerless biker gloves for Michael, with altered areas of transparancy, scaling and a little postwork. They're not perfect, but they work enough in the absence of an actual MMA glove for Poser/DAZ Studio.

I think Jimmy Rouk is my most photoshopped render for the GDS-Verse, but even then, it's really only three modified renders of the same figure, just layered and then cut/erased in places, then combined into one layer and polished up using the touch-up tools available in either Paint Shop or Photoshop (the smudge and soften tools in particular are your friends).

Ah okay. I have pretty much every Victoria 4/Aiko 4 hair and morph but very little of anything else. So I always run into situations where I need to use photoshop eventually. Will start looking for freebie accessories though.

And I have to admit, I kinda want to make some aging vets just to see if you can render Arnold Schwarzenaeger, Sylvester Stallone, Steven Sagal, Jean Claude Van Damn and and Chuck Norris... :)

You've got your plate full between whoever you were just sent and my latest characters though, so I'll hold off unless you say you need some more wrestlers... although if you want to add another major promotion it might not be a bad idea to have a few more guys. ~_^

Any Tips Sebs?

Tried to get the camera angle right. Don't have luminous lights so I used a dif source.

Changed brightness/contrast and played with levels in photoshop. Used a photo filter to alter color at the end.

Using M4.

I get the impression that the GDS renders are more animated/cartoony/colorful/insert adjective here but I don't know if that's because you're using M2/M3 or some other model.

If you have any tips on how I can make my renders more GDS like lemme know.

Mine compared to one of yours. Obviously mine is off somehow but I don't know how exactly. The neck is probably a product of me using a different base model. The lighting issue I'm going to keep looking into.

You should be able to make stars of all of the Disciples, though. If you can't then their potential should be altered. They're the future.

All the male renders are done with M2, using Jepe's Darren texture (although I've customised the textures a bit more, so some are a combination of one or more textures, cut and spliced, etc). The female renders are done with V2, but that figure is really limited compared to even M2, hence why I've completed so few female renders and there's very little I can do to alter the faces. M2 is a workhorse and still my favourite figure, despite him looking more dated these days. You could probably get away with using M3, like some of the C-Verse renders, but M4 is just so much more detailed and click-simple realistic, they're always going to stand out like a sore thumb in comparison.

The positioning and lighting looks pretty good though.

I downloaded the file, but for some reason the workers are messed up. If I stick the file straight into another database, the characters stats and attributes seem fine, but the bios are randomly copied from other workers. If I put the file in a blank database with no other workers, I get a runtime error as soon as I try to click on a worker. I'm not sure what the problem is as the previous ones you sent me worked fine. Perhaps try to reupload it?

If you have no stats for Cleophes give him stats similar to Grayson but +15 strength, +20 looks, -10 charisma and +5 athleticism. For the rest of the wrestling stats just randomly move +5 or -5 here and there. I meant for them to be similar talents.

I just want you to know SebMister that I have about 8 tag teams and a bunch of singles workers for you to slam down on the GDS. I have also put together some specialty matches for the are in reference to certain workers gimmicks. I hope these can be added.

Also do you have a list of reference material about things like the NFL or w/e the professional football league is known as in the GDSVerse? Also any actors or history as of yet that way we can try to link up as much info as possible saving you time.

Gah, I wish I could remember off the top of my head. There are a few ex-football, ex-baseball, scattered through the data, although I can't recall if their bios specifically reference an NFL equivalent. I remember changing the NHL in Cassius Porter's to something different (IHL perhaps?). Basically though, everything is going through a fictional slant... I just can't remember without TEW in front of me what was used in some cases.

I'm currently working on bios for my guys. Their stats are probably way too good for future workers, though. I don't know enough about the game (5 shows is my record) to make proper stats for them, so I'll leave that to you. I also don't have gimmicks in my database, so the workers don't have gimmicks. They should be easy to assign, though, as my workers are pretty ROH-ish (wrestling as a sport, bla, bla). The rest should be pretty easy to see from the bios.

Well, I did set the deadline as April 5th to run a line under submissions, but since neither of you have submitted anything to the GDS-Verse so far and the sole purpose of this mod was to create a fictional database with contributions from as many different members of the GDS forums as possible... I'm feeling a bit generous so I'll be a bit flexible on it. Basically, get your submissions in as soon as possible and if workable, I'll add what I can in.

On the subject of Canadian promotions, I'm going to see how Canada fares as an area when I get closer to finishing the data. Then I'll decide whether to add any further promotions to it or simply leave it as a closed shop with DWA and the WEF. If I do decide to expand or change that, I'll post on here so everyone has a chance to add their input or ideas.

Well, I did set the deadline as April 5th to run a line under submissions, but since neither of you have submitted anything to the GDS-Verse so far and the sole purpose of this mod was to create a fictional database with contributions from as many different members of the GDS forums as possible... His character is actually based off the lifestyle he lives, which may make him somewhat of a social pariah in the locker room. However, he is a nice guy backstage, known to be very helpful.

Money!) but I was also thinking that if there are areas in the US (or Canada, for that matter) that are being forgotten about, you could create a small, mostly-comedy promotion for them. If I remember right, the Midwest is barren of promotions and might be a good place. I was thinking the promotion could be relatively high comedy and a bit of lucha flavour (among other things) in which intergender competition is encouraged. Plus, it could get that Walrus guy a job, which is never a bad thing.

It's up to the modder. I just thought it may help balance things out a bit and give the women (and terrible comedy wrestlers) a place to start out. I can throw some stats out later, if you're interested.

The promotion lay out is something I'm going to look at more when I've got all the workers in, balanced and can run several test games to see how things are running. The Midwest is rather barren, infact, the US is a bit patchy due to the South West basically becoming the hub of GDS-Verse wrestling (a popular choice for a promotion base it seems), but yeah, I'll see how many workers are left floating around without work, how the gameworld shapes up, etc before seeing where and which new types of promotions are needed. Luchas need a bit of love, but at least comedy-wise, there's always the WEF up in Canada.

Well there will be loads when I get them all ported across (having to import the moves, recreate and then allocate movelists is a bit of a time killer), I'll see if I can't whip up a list. Obviously if I post a render for a worker in this thread, then it's a given they're in the data.

Not sure on a final completion date at the moment. I really wanted to avoid another Beta, but if it looks like taking especially long, I might well pop out another one just to keep the Verse fresh and allow people to use some of the newer characters, etc.

"The Loco Finish Chef" Borga Borg started his career out in a radically different way. His original gimmick was based on the Borg creatures from the Star Trek series. This largely failed to get over, in part due to Borga's lack of charisma and the lack of Trekkies in Finland. Borga Borg travelled to America to make a name for himself, forming a semi-successful tag team with woman's star Death Salt. The promotion lay out is something I'm going to look at more when I've got all the workers in, balanced and can run several test games to see how things are running. The Midwest is rather barren, infact, the US is a bit patchy due to the South West basically becoming the hub of GDS-Verse wrestling (a popular choice for a promotion base it seems), but yeah, I'll see how many workers are left floating around without work, how the gameworld shapes up, etc before seeing where and which new types of promotions are needed. Luchas need a bit of love, but at least comedy-wise, there's always the WEF up in Canada.

But Sebs, this is your database, if there are 5 promotions in the South West rather than have a SouthWest Regional Battle Royale, why not move a couple of promotions to some of the more sparsely populated (promotion wise) regions. If British Columbia had 4 Regional and above sized groups and Minnesota was dying for some wrestling action, then shifting over the WEF wouldn't offend me at all.

With all the submissions, everything is pretty much covered now. There's a nice supply of rubbish gimmicks and characters kicking about.

Nope, I haven't completed renders for any of those yet. I do plan to, but for various reasons, they haven't been done yet. Some because I'm trying to find a certain prop to use, others because they'll take a while to render and a couple because, I just haven't felt like making them yet either because the descriptions don't really inspire much or I can't get them looking anywhere near how I think they should.

Well, I did set the deadline as April 5th to run a line under submissions, but since neither of you have submitted anything to the GDS-Verse so far and the sole purpose of this mod was to create a fictional database with contributions from as many different members of the GDS forums as possible... I'm feeling a bit generous so I'll be a bit flexible on it. Basically, get your submissions in as soon as possible and if workable, I'll add what I can in.

Firstly, no major developments to speak of. I'm working on the GDS-Verse when I can, but like I said, it's pretty slow going. Like I said several days ago, there may well be a filler Beta between now and a final release, although I'm determined to try and get everything done in decent time if I can. Since the main purpose of this mod was to create a fictional database with contributions from as many different members of the GDS forums as possible, I allowed a little flexibility with latecomers to the thread to post their submissions after the deadline, although only on the proviso that I'd consider adding them if I could. The verse itself has enough submissions to fill out all the catagories, it was just a case of trying to involve as many contributors as possible.

Greetings Everyone,

I PMed sebsplex on this issue, but I'm not sure whose in charge of this project in terms of the pictures being used for the GDS verse, so I figured I would just ask here.

I'm trying to receive permission to use these amazing pictures, not for a wrestling simulation mod, but for another simulation game based on the movie business. http://www.hollywood-mogul.com/ and like this community here, they got a pretty dedicated one over there in terms of making sure there's an actual real life actors, actresses, and directors database that everyone can play with for that simulation.

However, the kicker here, is that no one has never created a producer's or Agent database, and since doing that kind of work is pretty tedious, adding pictures is not, and that is where you guys come in.

I'd basically like to use the GDS-Verse pictures for this simulation's fictional producer's and agents database to give faces to their fictional names which of course will add to the immersion of the game, like the way your fabulous pictures add to the immersion of TEW. :)

I understand this is an unusual request, and I'm only posting here cause I've hadn't heard back from Sebsplex yet, so maybe there is someone else I need to contact instead, and understand if you say no, but I hope that whoever is in charge of these pictures will consider my request.

I know it seems slow, but often there isn't really much to update here and sadly the arrival of Summer means I'm struggling to find the time I need to really push on with things (work picks up now until September). Expect a 3rd Beta to be dropped sometime in the next few weeks. I bought M4 when it was on offer from DAZ a while ago with a bunch of add-ons, but it was a bit to resource-intensive on my old laptop, so I haven't really tried anything with it. I've got a new one on order soon, which I'm looking forward to. I'll still keep flogging M2 to death for the GDS-Verse though, lol. I wouldn't mind taking a look a what you do with it. Stick it in the render thread and I'll check it out.

Still in Beta stages at the moment. I was hoping to get the full version complete soon, but it's still some way off as I haven't had as much time to work on it as I would like. I'm planning to upload a third Beta the week after next, however.

My plan is to post the 3rd Beta on Tuesday June 30th. It's a bit later than I intended, but I've scored a couple of bonus days off work having done a bunch of overtime already this month, so I've pushed it back a bit as I can now get several good extra hours in to work on the data in the days prior.

I've also had Poser open for the first time in a few nights and so, a new batch of renders. I have issues with trying not to add too many new workers with no picture as I know that for many people, it makes them harder to relate to in the data. Still, I can always add them at a later date... I know there are a small number from the first incarnation of the Beta still missing pics. Anyway, new renders... a couple of the more challenging ones too...

I don't mean to be a pain but is it at all possible for you to post at some point a complete listing of what guys made it in the game since the last release? Maybe a couple screen shots of the workers screens?

I'll get to work on a list of all the new workers added since the last release and post it and probably a couple of bio screenshots or something just ahead of time, especially just to show off a couple of the awesome new logos Kamchatka has made to replace the old-style 100x100 ones from 2007.

Updatewise, one final batch of renders ahead of the new release. These will probably be the last ones I do until uploading the data... there will be a few gaps to fill, but I've done my best to make sure a vast majority of the new characters have renders ready to go.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'd not going to be able to get the Beta posted tonight. There isn't anything out of the ordinary to blame... no freak storms, exploding modems or other such reason (although having a new laptop with Vista hasn't helped! Curse you Gates!). Basically it's just taken so much damn time to do the things I wanted to do with the data. I've made several significant changes and overall, they're not fully implemented to a point that I'm happy with... in other words, they don't work right.

It's my own fault for setting a date, although in fairness I could have posted a more stable version with less characters and updates, but that wouldn't feel right. That and the fact I keep changing my mind about certain things, etc doesn't help.

On the plus side, the data is a bit deeper now. I've started working in a few future workers (as well as keeping some current characters to one side for the time being) as well as more workers in general. I can't remember what the worker count was for the last Beta, but it's currently sitting at 498 now. There's also several new relationships, a bit more title lineage, more teams, more events properly named, more gimmicks, more background info, larger starting rosters... basically more of everything, plus stat changes for better or worse.

So... I'm going to try and get as much done as I can in the next few days/nights and get a Beta of some form uploaded for the weekend, fingers crossed.

Feel free to pelt me with stones and other such objects in the time being. I know I suck.
