The New Years had not been kind to my body, I realized I should have stopped drinking about four hours ago as I lay in the gutter, too drunk to stand. Although my body was lettinng me down, my mind was still somewhat in tact, coherent enough to review 2007.
It had all started when a friend of mine, Leo Davis, decided to open up his own wrestling promotion. He needed financial support, as well as direction, and for that he visited none other then Tommy friggin Cornell. That sonnuva bitch promised us TCW's support as Chicago Championship Wrestling was going to be their RIPW, their training grounds. They'd send us a fat check and some good prospects, we'd train 'em up for the big leagues. Even built our franchise around their sports entertainment crap. And then, the fateful day came right after our huge tournament. The tournament was amazing, we had wrestlers come in from all around the world, heck we even had Art Reed while he was free from the DAVE breakup. It was a tremendous success but had drained us of every penny we had. We met with Tommy that night and then he dropped the hammer on us. There would be no checks in the mail, there would be no hot new prospects to bolster our roster. TCW was withdrawing everything, advertising, merchandise, the whole works. That bastard left us out to dry without even a weeks notice.
We tried to keep it secret, but the workers quickly learned what had happened and soon, workers started leaving like rats from a sinking ship. Our champion, Tully Arthurs, had barely dropped the strap to Titan before jumping over to FREEDOM. Guess he liked the warmer climate better. Then Titan had to quickly drop the strap to American Elemental before he left for FREEDOM as well, taking along Kashmir Singh for the ride. Bill Lewis and Lazy Joe were both picked up by the new DaVE start up, PSA. Nadia Snow was selected as one of the starting members for USPW's new women's division. All of those guys got to where they were because of us, and only Singh had the decency to thank us. Singh was always a class act, he's the only one I'll really miss.
TJ Bailey was another one of the few grateful ones. After seeing his potential, 4C came down and asked TJ to join a "hot new tag team" with Too Hot. It sounded like a boy band gimmick to me, but I was happy for TJ, he was one of the good guys.
The rest of the roster stuck around, waiting to see what would happen after the New Year. So here I am, the drunk announcer for a bankrupt, dying promotion lying in a gutter, half covered in snow. For some reason I started getting really tired, and as the world darkened around me, I realized that maybe lying half-naked in a snow bank wasn't the best way to spend New Years, but then again, I had no place else to go...

http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Lee%20Bambino.jpg
When I woke up, a strange face was staring at me. When he saw that I was awake he left, calling for others. I looked around and realized I was in a hospital room. I couldn't remember New Years at all except for that brief moment of coherence lying in that gutter. A familiar face walked in, Leo. He grabbed me in a big hug, and the nurse had to pull him off.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Leo%20Davis.jpg
Leo: "Great to see you up. The doctors were worried you'd never recover."
Gabriel: "What?"
Leo: "You're in St. Joseph Hospital. You've been unconscious for almost a week now."
Gabriel: "What?"
Leo: "Yeah, 5 days, and boy has it been a great five days."
Gabriel: "What?"
Leo: "Of course you don't know, but it's all over the wrestling news. CCW's back in action. I cashed in my retirement fund and after debts we still have about 10k left. I've already sent try out invites to a whole bunch of free agents. Most of the roster is still intact, so we just need to really rebuild the main event and tag team scene. Another big change is that we're expanding the Women's Division by two slots."
Gabriel:"What?"
Leo: "Yeah, now that NOTBPW's lost their division and USPW gained theirs, I figure we need a solid one to put both of theirs to shame."
Gabriel: "What?"
Leo: "Ummm...Doc, are you sure this guy is recovered?"
The doctor explained that I was disoriented from the coma, but that wasn't the truth. I was still in shock that Leo cashed in his retirement fund to keep CCW alive. He had to have lost a ton of money cashing it out early, and the guy was on the verge of retiring to begin with. I was in shock that CCW was continuing fully on Leo's dime.
Leo: "Anyway, the books still have your name on it..."
Gabriel: "Yeah Leo, of course."
Leo: "Glad to see you got your vocab back. Now I sent out a lot of requests, especially to some big names that are available. Be prepared for a lot of rejection and a lot of overpriced workers, but I'm hoping we'll snag a few diamonds here and there. But let's get one thing straight, we NEED to make a profit on this one. This is the last of my money and I really need to see some return on it. If this goes belly up again I am completely screwed so let's try and make a profit now that we're on our own."
I nodded my head, understanding what Leo would face if CCW tanked a second time. The nurse came in and told everyone that visiting hours were over for the day, but Leo promised he would return tomorrow with the list of potential new hires. As I drifted to sleep, I started mentally going through what remained of our roster, at least what it was like before I passed out for a week...

The Current Roster
Main Event
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Harry%20Wilson.jpg
Harry Wilson: Last year's star heel, he ran a huge faction that had a lot of monster heels, including Titan, Murderous Mikey and Dusty Bin. Despite his attitude he stuck around and his popularity is still very high, so his position as "head heel" is rather secure. Push: Heel (Old School Heel)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Dermot%20OLogical.jpg
Dermot O'Logical: A good worker but was out of the spotlight last year. This year I think that we'll put more focus on him, he has the talent and the crowd appeal. Push: Heel (Skin Care Obsessive)
Upper Midcard:
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Craig%20Lewis.jpg
Crash Lewis: Formerly Craig Lewis of our tag team champs The Lewis Brothers (With Bill "Lewis" Lewboski). Now that Little Bill has left us, Crash has been cut off and will probably drift back down to the midcard. He's a great guy, but just doesn't have the ability to pull it off by himself. He makes a great tag partner though, and I might be able to get him on another successful tag team. Push: Heel (Metalhead)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Leo%20Davis.jpg
Leo Davis: Owner and founder of CCW. Unfortunately his spirit doesn't always translate into ability, but he has experience and the cash so he's staying in the upper card. Pulled off a pretty good "redneck authority" gimmick last year as a rough and tumble GM who isn't afraid to mix it up with unruley workers. Push: Heel (Authority Figure)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Rex%20Reeves.jpg
Rex Reeves: Had a decent feud with Murderous Mikey over Jemma Muse but now I think we'll spin him off in a new direction. Unfortunately I don't know exactly what that direction will be in yet, so he is keeping his "southern gentleman" gimmick for now.
Push: Face (Gentleman)
Midcard
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Murderous%20Mikey.jpg
Murderous Mikey: Not the greatest ability but damn does he have the killer heel down. He's a bit of an unknown factor coming off of his feud. He technically won the feud, but Jemma's rejection at the last turn killed his momentum and pushed Rex up to the upper card. Now Mikey's a renegade, just pounding on who ever pisses him off at the moment.
Push: Heel (Bad Ass)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Dusty%20Bin.jpg
Dusty Bin: With Harry's help Dusty has actually gotten a bit of momentum on his side. Acting as a simple bodyguard and thug for Harry, Harry points and Dusty pounds. Lucky for him, time is on his side as he has a long way to go before he can pull of a semi-decent match.
Push: Heel (Bodyguard)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Jeremy%20Jazz.jpg
Jeremy Jazz: Jeremy is a wild card, a person who I used to fill any gaps in my rosters. First he was a single's competitor, then he was in a tag team with TJ. The tag team was his best shot at a spotlight, so I'll look for a partner who can break Jeremy out of his shell and try and get him to shine. I will say that he is able to do his name justice as a hipster. He definitely studied his jazz-era slang for his interviews.
Push: Face (Dude)
Women's Division
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Ginko%20Kuroda_alt01.jpg
Ginko Kuroda: The only champion to stay with us, Ginko is now our two-time Women's Champion. Very solid in and out of the ring, the only thing holding her back is the fact that she still doesn't speak english. The upside is that her ninja warrior character is still popular even after losing the Women's belt and the tournament cup to other contenders.
Push: Face (Ninja)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Carnival%20Queen%20Kendra.jpg
Carnival Queen Kendra: I have a feeling that even after Armageddon destroys everything, we'll still have Carnival Queen on the sheets. A terrible former BSC worker with barely any in ring talent, she is still around. And actually improving quite a bit thanks to her work with Ginko and Nadia. Her character is a drifter type, a happy-go-lucky gypsy that goes where life takes her.
Push: Face (Happy-go-lucky)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Kinuye%20Mushashibo.jpg
Kinuye Mushashibo: Hired to give Ginko a partner, Kinuye has proven to be invaluable to keep Harry Wilson in line. Ever since the first day, Harry has had a crush on Kinuye, and she has used that to keep his ego and attitude in check. For that alone she is worth every penny we give her. In addition, she acts like everyone's fun, spunky kid sister and if a conflict gets resolved, she's usually at the heart of it. And for me, the most amazing thing is that with everything she does backstage, she doesn't speak English. She just knows a few key phrases and I help translate as best I can, but she just has such a positive energy that it's almost impossible to stay angry around her. Now if only she could have such a positive effect in the ring...
Push: Face (Fun Babyface)
MANAGERS
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Kristen%20Pearce.jpg
Kristen Pearce: Ahhh, Kristen. By far one of the most charismatic member of our roster. She used to manage the Lewis Brothers, Little Bill and Crash, while they were tag team champions. Excellent job in the corner, she did everything a good manager should, hyping the workers, generating heat during the matches, everything. Based on that, I think I'm going to bring her up to manage the big leagues, even get her a stable to manage. Push: Heel (Secretary)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Jemma%20Griffiths.jpg
Jemma "The Muse" Griffiths: Rex Reeves on-screen girlfriend and manager, Jemma and Rex worked well together, and I hope that their relationship hasn't changed that. For now she'll continue helping Rex develop as he slowly climbs the card. Push: Face (Girl-next-door)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Monique.jpg
Monique: Formerly the manager of brief champion Titan. She was chosen because her height actually allowed her to stand beside Titan instead of far far below him. Now that Titan left us for FREEDOM, she's on the market for a new heel. Not the greatest valet, she does a decent job, decent enough for us to keep paying her. Push: Heel (Spoiled Brat)
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Chloe%20Dean.jpg
Chloe Dean: Formerly the manager of champion Tully Arthurs, she did a lot of good work, but now that her client is gone, she's on the market for a new face client. Push: Face (Hippy)
STAFF
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Random_Male56.jpg
Announcer: Gabriel Mossak - That's me. I used to work in customer service at a help desk for about six years before Leo asked me to help him out. We go way back, I used to be an amateur wrestler before I had to get a job to pay the bills. Leo and I jobbed out together for a little while, and we became fast friends. He liked my ideas, my insights into the wrestling business which is why he contacted me to be head booker for his start up company. It's been a rough year, but execpt for the whole bankruptcy, it's been a lot of fun.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Dale%20Kenney.jpg
Referee: Dale Kenney - Dale Kenney was formerly known as Randall the Vandal, another jobber-for-hire until a series of knee injuries caused him to rethink his profession. Not the greatest ref, but he does have the unique advantage of having been in the ring as a wrestler first, and every now and then he comes through with a brilliant piece of insight. Unfortunately, that brilliance is still being buried by inexperience and even after a year of work, he still needs some help.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Buttercup.jpg
Road Agent: Buttercup - Buttercup was a last minute, last ditch hire. Our former road agent, Curt O"Malley decided to jump ship about 4 days before a show and we barely had time to get Buttercup hired before throwing her right into action. So far she's been raw but is able to keep the backstage area fairly clear of incidents. Her main problem (besides the whole lack of experience that plagues most of our staff and roster) is that when tempers do flair she does not have the physical presence to stop the escalation. Therefore if a fight breaks out, she's diving for cover as she's barely tipping the scales at 100lbs. Sometimes I think about how hard it would be to start a backstage fight with someone like Nemesis or Corporal Doom standing right there. But she works hard and works cheap and I wouldn't think about trading her in for anyone.

As a side note, this is a continuation of the CCW Diary from '07 found here. The concept was started by the question of what would happen if the jobbers of the CVerse banded together and created their own fed. You can read the original diary here:
http://67.19.230.90/~arles/forum/showthread.php?t=28463
It goes until about August of '07 and then due to real life conflicts I had to put the diary on pause, especially when it was announced that '08 would be coming out. I did not import anything or alter anything except adding the user avatar and adding title lineages. All the workers are vanilla '08 database versions, except for Leo who I changed the personality around to better reflect the personality that developed through the old diary. Unfortunately that means that the bit of popularity and skill I had built up was erased, but then again you don't start a dynasty like this without looking forward to the challenge.

First Day of Contract Negotiations
Leo wasn't kidding when he said I had work to do. I had barely worken up from a week long coma when I was thrown (well, more accurately wheeled) back into the fast lane. Saturday afternoon was our first day of auditions and contract negotiations. I recognized a few familiar faces from our last open try outs, but there were quite a few new faces as well. The last year really shook things up in the wrestling industry. Leo explained that he was looking for guys who could take a beating. A lot of our roster was raw and more then a little sloppy, and we didn't want to give the appearance of a garbage fed by having everyone getting injured. Next he said he didn't want any fat lumps, the workers had to be able to move and wrestle a match longer then 10 minutes without having a heart attack
.http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i312/Apupunchau/CBW/BobCasey.jpg
First up was Bob Casey, a solid canadian veteren. Not the most charismatic or flashy guy in the ring, but he had solid experience and that was worth more then another hot shot entertainer with no ability to perform in the ring. We hired him immediately to the main event for $350.
Up next was a bit of a suprise, from overseas came Julian Watson. I continue to be amazed at how far reaching Leo's contacts are, but considering the man has jobbed for about every promotion North of the equator, I guess it shouldn't surprise me on who he knows. Another solid, albeit bland performer. After just hiring Bob Casey, it was hard for us to justify basically hiring the same person twice. What's more, he didn't have the face appeal that Casey had, Julian was much better suited in the role of a heel and our roster was currently exteremly heel heavy. Plus he was expensive and in the end we decided to pass. But as soon as some finances and heel slots opened up, I told Julian we would come knocking again.
Next was a tag team, the Maryland Alliance...or what was supposed to be a tag team. Only Buck Graham showed up and put on an awful show. I was used to it by now, hopefully so were the fans, but when Buck turned around and asked to be the highest paid member of the staff at $400, Leo and I just laughed and told him to rethink his negotiation strategy. We offered half of what he was asking, travel expenses and the tag team title for him and Brady, but he refused to drop down low enough in price so we sent him on his way.
Weird Waldo Odlaw came to us next, straight from Canada. He was a decent hardcore brawler, but was still young and raw in the ring. However, as soon as I heard the name an idea came for a unique gimmick, and so I was a bit more generous in contract negotiations with him. By the end he had his John Han**** on the paper for only $150 and travel expenses.
I had no clue about the next person, but Leo perked up and told me she was Nikki Power, better known as Kim Gallagher, a fitness trainer. There weren't any other women competing, so Leo went in the ring against her. Leo held back, but she didn't, I laughed my ass off as She (wo)manhandled Leo around the ring. She was good, had experience and was used to the cameras thanks to her fitness work. We hired her for $250, making her our highest paid woman on the roster.
The next couple of wrestlers, El Medico and K-Squared didn't make the cut, nothing stood out about them and there really wasn't a place on the roster for them. They were the last two auditioners, and after a day of wrestling we had hired a male and female top contender, so Leo and I felt pretty good, we still had another day and we'd definitely fill in the rest of the open slots tomorrow. Just as we were starting to pack up the ring, Lee, my new co-announcer, ran in screaming for us to stop. Following him were three guys who went by the names of Xavier Reckless, Extreme Deluxe, and Super Sonic.
.http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i312/Apupunchau/CBW/XavierReckless.jpghttp://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i312/Apupunchau/CBW/SuperSonic.jpghttp://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i312/Apupunchau/CBW/ExtremeDeluxe.jpg
Lee explained that they were all in the old XDW promotion together and that five of the stars from XDW were trying to break it into the big leagues. Lee begged Leo for the chance, and Leo acquiesed. First up, Xavier Reckless. Xavier was a middleweight brawler, but the rest were a whole bunch of spot monkeys. Extreme Deluxe was all over the place, practically braining himself off of his own move. But I have to admit he was fun to watch. Then came Super Sonic, and although he spoke with the biggest hick accent I'd ever heard, he was all over the place like a luchadore. He was solid, not nearly as flashy as Extreme but he more then made up for it with his in-ring abilities. They then said they had two more friends trying out tomorrow (their car broke down so they were delayed a day). I looked at Leo and he looked at me and I knew we were thinking the exact same thing.
Leo: "No!"
Gabriel: "Yes!"
We looked at each other and immediately retreated to the back "discussion room." A 6-pack later, I had convinced Leo to give these kids a shot as I had an interesting storyline planned that would include a lot of our new hires. Leo finally accepted, but he wasn't happy when the XDW guys started asking for cuts of hte merchandise. Then again, we hadn't really ever sold any merchandise anyway, and 15% of $0 isn't too much to ask for, We hired Xavier, Super Sonic, and Extreme for $150 each. And that concluded the first day of try outs.

Second Day of Contract Negotiations
A huge highlight was that former DaVE star Vin Tanner was one of the first guys to arrive. He and I chatted a bit, and I must say that if we had unlimited funds, I'd hire him in a second. But we don't, and so I had to wait until negotiations to see if our dinky little fed could afford a big name like him.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Fearless%20Blue.jpghttp://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Daredevil%20Aero.jpg
Two of the first auditioners were the remaining two from XDW, Fearless Blue and Daredevil Aero. Leo had serious problem with hiring Daredevil, for some reason Leo thought the guy looked like a sissy and that he needed to bulk up a bit more before joining. I'll admit that Daredevil Aero looks like a strong wind would break him in half, but I convinced Leo that we needed him (yeah, I can't believe I said it either). Leo finally agreed, although he said it was my ass on the line if the kid's parents tried to sue us when he broke his neck.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Davis%20Wayne%20Newton.jpg
Davis Wayne Newton tried out next which was a pleasant surprise. The kid's got everything going for him, looks, talent, age. I was puzzled why he wanted to try out with us, and he replied that we were the only ones having open try outs. He wanted to get as much experience in the indies as possible, to get as much exposure as possible and the only way to do that was to work. When he said he would work for $250, I immediately agreed and shoved a pen and contract into his hands before he could figure out how much of a bargain that really was.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/K-Squared.jpg
After him, we saw a bunch of familiar faces of people who had tried out last time. And once again, we had to call the police on Trauma and the others were told "better luck next time." Except for Kenny Kuntz, better known as K-Squared. We were really hurting for some faces, and he was good on the stick and decent in the ring so we signed him on.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Agent%2069.jpghttp://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Nurse%20Darla%20Knight.jpg
There were two good female wrestlers who tried out. Agent 69 was trained by the DeColts. It's unknown how many of the DeColt brothers had crushes on her, but in the ring she was a solid competitor. Her opponent was former-BSC "wrestler" Nurse Darla Knight. With her feud with Nurse Hope Daye over, they released Darla. Probably because she had actual talent which of course wasn't allowed at BSC. The fact that she looked amazing in her skin-tight nurse outfit was icing on the cake.
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~dblackfi/People/Vin%20Tanner.jpg
Finally, it was Vin Tanner, and let me say that it was tense. Everyone knew that he was big money, but how much money was the big question.
Leo: "Alright Vin, it's great to have you with us. I'm glad you still remember me."
Vin: "Heck, you were one of the guys who helped build me up for my first title run. Now that DaVE has gone under, I'm finding myself in a bit of a pickle. DaVE stars have scattered to everywhere, and I'm looking for a place to shine."
Gabriel: "I'm sure any promotion would be glad to have you, so why us? Let's cut the bull****, We're new and we're tiny, not exactly the place to go to make a name for yourself."
Vin: "Yeah, but anywhere I go and I'll probably just be shuffled to the midcard or stuck training up the youngsters. I mean, I had four title runs at DaVE, but that was seven years ago. Since then Phil had me as the gatekeeper to the upper card. I know it was valuable, but it was also hard, I mean, James Brandon used to job for me, and now he's already getting a push in SWF."
Leo: "Yeah, I know how it goes. Hell, when i worked at SWF I was the first one a rising star humiliated..."
Vin: "Exactly. That's why I would like to go to some place 'new and tiny' so that I can have one last run in the spotlight. I've already made a name for myself, and I'm not going to be around that much longer to try and work my way up the cards anyplace else. I've done my time, and now I just want one last title run before I hang up my boots."
Gabriel: "Alright, let's get to the heart of things. What's the damage going to be?"
Vin (chuckling): "I like the way you say that. $2,500 per appearance, $1,000 a month downside. I'll want full creative control and a main event title."
Leo coughs in surprise at Vin's price. While he tries to recover, I continue negotiating.
Gabriel: "First of, I'm afraid we can't do creative controls. We have a brand new roster and we need time to shuffle things about, try out feuds and get the roster settled. If we have one person, even if its you, getting in the way of our storylines and long-term plans, especially if you've got a strap on your waist, we'll eventually need you to lose. But we can give you your title reign. And a guaranteed slot on the main event. You won't have to work your way to the top, you will BE the top. And you'll be our lead face."
Vin: "Lead face eh, I like that. I've been heel for so long I can't remember the last time the crowd actually cheered for me. Alright, I'll drop creative control for all that you mentioned."
Leo: "Alright, V, now we're getting somewhere. I'm afraid that price is just way to high. How about $1,000 an appearance with an $800 downside?"
Vin didn't even respond, he just shook his head. Leo and I leaned in and talked about how much we could really afford to spend. In the middle of the discussion, Leo suddenly straightened up and talked to Vin.
Leo: "Alright, $1,500 an appearance, $900 downside and we'll cover travel expenses within reason. That's going to really break our budget but that is the absolute maximum that we can go. I'm sorry Vin."
Vin: "What do you have to be sorry about? I'll take it."
The next minute was filled with silence as Leo and I just sat there in shock, disbelieving what we had just heard.
Vin: "Umm...I said I'll accept. It's about what I was making at DaVE anyway..."
Gabriel: "Th...bu...welcome aboard."
And so Vin Tanner became the final hire of our new roster.

CCW NEWS REPORT
Next Show: CCW: Champions Tournament
CCW RETURNS
Flying in the face of rumors that CCW was closing its doors, Leo Davis announced that he would not be filing for bankruptcy, that he would not be selling the
promotion and that the tiny fed was doing better then ever. To kick off the New Year, it was announced that CCW will once again be doing a tournament for the
CCW Championship belt. This time it will be a 16-man tournament, including one wildcard slot that the opening talent will wrestle for. The quarterfinals and
semi-finals will be next month at CCW Train Wreck, and the finals competition will take place in a special 30 minute show in March. The march show will also
feature the finals for the tag team title as well.
Quick Picks (not in order):
Sir Arthur vs. Switchblade Mike vs. Dusty Bin vs. Evil Spirit vs. Weird Waldo Odlaw for Wildcard Slot
K-Squared vs. Xavier Reckless
Fearless Blue vs. Rex Reeves w/ Jemma Griffiths
Dermot O'Logical vs. Jeremy Jazz
Leo Davis vs. Super Sonic
Daredevil Aero vs. Davis Wayne Newton
Extreme Deluxe vs. Harry Wilson
Bob Casey vs. Crash Lewis
Vin Tanner vs. Wildcard

Looking good so far, especially liked the Vin Tanner negotiations. Made me really buy into him as a veteran who was looking for one last run at the top of a promotion, no matter how big or small that company is.
Sir Arthur vs. Switchblade Mike vs. Dusty Bin vs. Evil Spirit vs. Weird Waldo Odlaw for Wildcard Slot
It could be any of them, but as he's probably the most established on the roster, I'll go for Sir Arthur (who if I remember correctly was a repackaged Wizard of Ottawa)
K-Squared vs. Xavier Reckless
K-Squared is more experienced and Reckless needs alot of training before he can get up to a reasonable level.
Fearless Blue vs. Rex Reeves w/ Jemma Griffiths
Ditto for this match
Dermot O'Logical vs. Jeremy Jazz
You hinted that Dermot is in for a more focused push this time round, and Jazz will never amount to being anything more than a mid-carder at best.
Leo Davis vs. Super Sonic
The owner goes over the Backyard spot monkey.
Daredevil Aero vs. Davis Wayne Newton
To be honest, DWN is too good for CCW and I think even you were taken a back that he would work for you, and for such paltry money too. Don't insult his talent/generosity, by having him job to one of the Backyard spot monkeys.
Extreme Deluxe vs. Harry Wilson
Harry Wilson was the main heel in the 2007 edition of the CCW diary, even though he never carried the belt, so I don't see him going out in the first round
Bob Casey vs. Crash Lewis
Could go either way, both are baldy jobbers (well here they're mid-carders, but in any other fed they'd be looking up at the lights on a regular basis). However I see you rewarding the guy who has put in more time as a member of the CCW roster.
Vin Tanner vs. Wildcard
You've promised Tanner a title run, so there's no way he's going out in the first round, especially to the Wildcard.

Fearless Blue vs. Rex Reeves w/ Jemma Griffiths
The xdw crew just never garnered my interest
Dermot O'Logical vs. Jeremy Jazz
Time for the gimmick to shine!

Boss gets a win
Daredevil Aero vs. Davis Wayne Newton
Push him to the moon, he will be snagged away soon enough.
Extreme Deluxe vs. Harry Wilson
He is the slightly larger fish in this pond
Bob Casey vs. Crash Lewis
Casey needs to feed on the little guys so he looks better when the big guys feed on him in the ring.

Another good diary. Fun negotiations, can't believe you got DWN for so little, and the Vin dialog was great.
Sir Arthur vs. Switchblade Mike vs. Dusty Bin vs. Evil Spirit vs. Weird Waldo Odlaw for Wildcard Slot
-Yeah, total shot in the dark. I like his name, so :p
K-Squared vs. Xavier Reckless
-You didn't hire K-Squared day 1, so I'll pick against him.
Fearless Blue vs. Rex Reeves w/ Jemma Griffiths
-A strong gust of air will take care of Blue for Reeves.
Dermot O'Logical vs. Jeremy Jazz
-Based on the way you talked about him in the setup.
Leo Davis vs. Super Sonic
-Not sure why, but Super Sonic looks annoying to me. Like the tiny guy that would show up at your party, drink way too much, then pick a fight with the biggest guy in the room.
Daredevil Aero vs. Davis Wayne Newton
-Can't see DWN losing to Aero.
Extreme Deluxe vs. Harry Wilson
-I don't really know, so I'm just following the other votes out there on this one.
Bob Casey vs. Crash Lewis
-Bob Casey is decent (albeit boring) and Crash Lewis, as you said, is probably heading back down the card.
Vin Tanner vs. Wildcard
-Vin is your franchise player. Weird to say, but true!

Sorry about the delay, I had to restart the diary because of the latest patch, but everything is pretty much the same, except Vin now has a $1,000 downside and the momentums are changed so now Leo Davis has A* momentum!
But I'm going to keep the initial storylines going in the same direction as before and I'll hopefully get the match write up done tomorrow morning. I have the month done, it's just a matter of fleshing it out, uploading images etc. etc.

CCW Tournament of Champions

As the crowd settles into their seats, the arena and ring are empty, no announcers, no refs, nothing on stage. As soon as they all get seated, the lights dim and the spotlight shines at the entrance, as Xavier Reckless, Extreme Deluxe, Super Sonic, Fearless Blue, and Daredevil Aero walk down to the ring. Xavier grabs the mic.
Xavier: "Sup, fools? So apparently, in case you weren't aware, Chicago Championship Wrestling has returned, but because so many stars left, they had to hire some real talent. So let me introduce the new dominant faction on this pitiful roster, the XDW Alliance. In case none of you fools knew, we all used to be part of the same backyard fed, the greatest promotion ever. We were rising fast until those bastards at CCW bought us out. So now I guess we'll just take our own revenge by taking every single title, by dominating every single match, and making all of you fools realize just what we are. We are the future! We are the path to fame! And every single person here should feel honored that they get to see the start of our rise to power"
He pauses as the crowd boos at his arrogant demeanor. Then he glances back towards the entrance ramp.
Xavier: "Now, XDW's got ourselves a few secret weapons. First, let me introduce a lovely young lady, Monique."
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/Monique_alt.jpg
Monique walks down, wearing high heels to make her even taller. She towers over most of the other XDW alliance.
Xavier: "With this lovely young lady on board, we can't lose ringside. And to make sure we have eyes everywhere..."
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/LeeBambino_alt1.jpg
At the entrance ramp, Lee Bambino strolls down, shaking hands on his way to the announcer table.
Xavier: "Lee Bambino, announcer and ally. Together we ARE the future. Remember that fools."
Xavier and the rest of his crew strut out, leaving Lee at the announcer table.
XDW Alliance is announced: E-
Lee: "Alright people, listen up. First match up is for the wildcard slot, introducing...Switchblade Mike, Sir Arthur, Dusty Bin, Evil spirit, and Waldo Odlaw."

Switchblade Mike vs. Sir Arthur vs. Dusty Bin vs. Evil Spirit vs. Weird Waldo
As they are announced, the wrestlers quickly head to the ring to get the first match started. Switchblade Mike (formerly Murderous Mikey) and Dusty Bin both show up in suits, and although they take off their coats and ties, they still wrestle in their dress clothes. As soon as the bell rings, it's apparent that they have more in common then just their wrestling attire. Mikey and Dusty start double teaming everyone else, and the other three wrestlers quickly form an impromptu alliance to try and withstand the big men's assault. The three start to get an advantage when suddenly Waldo clotheslines both Evil Spirit and Sir Arthur from behind before running out of the ring. Mikey and Dusty quickly dominate, and Dusty lets Mikey pick up the pin on Evil Spirit. Throughout the match, the crowd as booing just about everyone. They shouted for Mikey and Dusty to get out of the ring, they cheered when Waldo left, overall it was not a great match.
Switchblade Mike defeated Sir Arthur, Dusty Bin, Evil Spirit and Weird Waldo Odlaw in 4:34 when Switchblade Mike defeated Evil Spirit by pinfall.

As the match concludes, Gabriel walks down to the announcing table to join Lee.
Gabriel: "Welcome one and all to CCW's first show of the new year. Every year we try to bring something new to our fans, and this year is no different. He may be a new star, but he's an old favorite. That's right, the rumors are true, fomrmer DaVE champion Vin Tanner will be wrestling here tonight."
In the background on the big screen TV, a series of clips show off Vin's wrestling, showing him raising the title and smashing heads in with chairs and ladders.

Harry Wilson w/ Kristen Pearce vs. Extreme Deluxe
Gabriel: "Alright, our first match of the tournament, will have Harry Wilson facing against Extreme Deluxe."
Harry Wilson walks out in an expensive looking suit, with Kristen Pearce at his side.
Gabriel: "It would appear that Kristen has herself a new client..."
Lee: "She's got something alright..." Lee leans back in his chair to get a better viewing angle.
When the match starts, Extreme Deluxe charges right at Harry, who quickly sidesteps and then drop kicks. Extreme Deluxe is all over the place, just throwing himself at Harry with wild abandon but Harry's superior wrestling skills shine, as he leads Extreme right into trap after trap and just punishes the overzealous youth. The match finally ends when Harry hits not one but two Humilities right in a row.(Humility is Wilson's modified one-armed pedigree so that after bouncing his opponents face off the map he has the leverage to flip his opponent on the bounce, going straight into a pin.) Wilson forgoes the flip twice, hitting it one last time and bursting Extreme Deluxe's face open, much to the shock of the audience. It was barely a wrestling match, and was closer to a public execution. By the end the crowd wasn't even cheering or booing, they were just sitting there, watching in shock.
Harry Wilson defeated Extreme Deluxe in 3:52 by Humility.

After the match, Wilson grabs the stick while Dusty and Mikey stroll out.
Harry: "Greetings ladies and gentlemen. Oh wait, that's right, I'm addressing you people. Greetings rednecks and whores"
Gabriel: "Hey, that is not app..."
Harry: "Just shut up Gabe, no one wants to hear you blabber on and on. They came here to hear me. They came here to see me because I'm the only thing worth watching. So anyway, all these backyard losers have announced that they're the dominate faction. Well, I would disagree. First off, those XDW punks couldn't dominate a pre-school playground, and second of all, we're the dominate faction. The two hit men here, Dusty and Mikey, as well as the much lovelier Kristen and of course, the best wrestler around...me. We are the real future because unlike XDW, we actually have talent. We are the Coalition. The Coalition of Dominance. The Coalition of Power. You can fill in the blank any way, but the point is that we will dominate. We will take the CCW Championship title that has been waiting for my waist since it was first created. Now, I've got a backstage party to attend after my complete destruction of that XDW piece of s***."
Wilson throws the mic down in the middle of the stage and walks out, with Kristen on his arm and flanked by his two hulking bodyguards.

Fearless and Rex circle each other, sizing each other up before springing into action. A series of fast cruiserweight holds and flips occur, trying to create a high speed, high intensity match. Fearless, however just keeps slipping around and disrupting the flow. Rex finally tries to break the status quo and hit a RexPlex (a snap suplex that transitions to a pin) but Fearless actually breaks out of it, hitting a Springboard Lariet against the stunned Rex, dropping him for the count.

Super Sonic comes right out on the offensive, hitting a plancha from the outside and slamming the surprised Leo. From that first attack, Sonic maintains the offensive, hitting a series of speedy moves against the stunned Leo. Leo makes his comeback when he ducks a dropkick and Super Sonic knocks out Dale Kenney. As soon as the ref is knocked out, Leo takes the offensive, hitting Sonic with a massive clothesline. While Sonic is pick himself up, Leo reaches into a boot and picks up his brass knuckles. Super Sonic doesn't see it coming as Leo starts pounding away with those knuckles, and Sonic drops like a bag of bricks. K-Squared does recover and regains his momentum. He turns it around and hits first a drop kick and then a top rope leg drop on Xavier, seemingly putting him down for the count. As K-Squared goes to cover, Extreme Deluxe charges out from the back and drags K-Squared out of the ring. The ref yells at him but because Extreme didn't actually attack K-Squared, the ref does not signal for the bell. Xavier meanwhile recovers and while K-Squared is distracted by Extreme Deluxe outside, Xavier sets up a slingshot DDT and covers for the pin.
Xavier Reckless defeated K-Squared in 8:01 by pinfall with a Slingshot DDT. During the match we also had Extreme Deluxe run in and attack K-Squared.

Chloe Dean makes her way down the ring as it's being cleaned up from the last match. She plays with the beads on her vest and flashes a few peace signs before grabbing the mic.
Chloe: "Like...whoa, there's a lot of people here. A lot of people looking for some good wrestling. And like, I had this dream the other day, a dream that I would meet someone great and that he would go straight to the top. And then I met him, and I was like, I need to help him. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/BobCasey.jpg
The crowd pops a little when Bob hits the entrance. He plays up the crowd, shaking hands and high fiving the younger fans before heading to the ring and grabbing the mic from Chloe.
Bob: "You know, this whole night I've been hearing one person after another talk about how they are going to dominate this and control that, and let me say that the only tried and true method of getting the gold is through a lot of hard work. Sure you can get a little bit by cheating and such, but in the end that house of cards topples as soon as a real
worker comes along. And that is waht I am. I've been in this business probably longer then these young punks have been around, and I know exactly what it will take to get the strap. So they can continue shooting their mouths off until the cows come home, but in the end, it's the people who have put in their time, the workers who have truly earned their keep that will take home the gold."

As Bob and Chloe leave the ring, Dermot O'Logical comes out in all his glory. He's got the facial mask, the cucumbers, the moisturizer...the whole shebang.
Dermot O'Logical: "You see folks, the only person who should get the title is the one who looks the best, and no one. NO ONE can argue that my skin isn't the greatest, that my complexion isn't perfect."
Dermot then goes into listing the various products that he has used to treat his skin. Meanwhile Jeremy Jazz is waiting impatiently for the match to start. He looks at the ref and the ref just shrugs and motions for him to start. Jeremy runs, bounces off the ropes and slams Dermot O'Logical from behind, knocking the cucumbers from his eyes. Dermot picks himself up looking absolutely furious. He just starts wailing on Jeremy, practically pounding Jeremy's face through the mat. After about three minutes of abuse, Jeremy is lying limp and Dermot covers for the pin. After the match, he goes outside of the ring and picks up his fallen cucumber slices, gently placing them back over his eyes and walking out.

These two veterans quickly put on an old-style match, a slow-paced brawl. They stand in the middle of the ring exchanging punch for punch, clothesline for clothesline. Bob starts to wear down Crash, his superior stamina showing as Crash's punches start coming slower and slower. Soon, Bob ducks a punch, grabs Crash's arm and whips him into the ropes. Bob then launches himself into the opposite set of ropes, and comes at Crash with a flying headbutt. Vin Tanner vs. Switchblade
When Vin hits the ring, the crowd pops, and he rides that momentum right into the match. Switchblade Mike might be taller and bulkier, Vin has much more passion and heart, and just starts pounding away at the larger man. Vin throws a punch, Switchblade actually catches it, stopping the blow in the tracks, but Vin is already countering, he sweeps a leg and Mike drops to the mat, being hit by a successive series of leg drops and elbow drops. This trend continues throughout the match. Vin will launch an offensive, Mike will counter but Vin is already changing to a new attack and is able to pick apart Mikey. Mikey gets more and more furious as he continues to fail at the offensive, and finally Mikey looses his cool and just charges wildly at Vin. Vin spins around and pushes Mikey into the turnbuckles, using Mikey's own momentum against him. Vin then raises his arms in the 'V' position, signaling for his signature finisher, V for Victory. Vin heads to the opposite corner while Mikey is recovering from running into the turnbuckle. As soon as Mikey turns around, Vin charges at him like a locomotive, nailing Mikey with a massive body avalanche. Mikey staggers for a few seconds before dropping face first into the middle of the ring. Vin quickly covers for the victory, and the crowd cheers as he climbs the turnbuckle with his arms stretched out in the 'V' position. The crowd takes up a chant, shouting "Vin! Vin! Vin!" and it is clear that Vin is just eating up that adoration.

Yeah, I was really hoping that Vin's popularity would help carry the match even though it was against Mikey, but alas, it was not to be. I'm betting that the finals matches for the tourny will grade a lot higher as the lowercard has been washed out.

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/Random_Male63.jpg
Even as I watched the final moments of Vin showboating for his two dozen fans, I had a hard knot in my stomach. The show had been better then our first show, but still even with Vin's help I couldn't help but notice how far we had slipped. Fan attendance was down almost 90%, and those we had were very forgetful, barely recognizing anyone. I realized that we really were starting from scratch, but this time we didn't have TCW's support, we really were on our own.
As the crowd started clearing out and the ring taken down, I went back to the books to start looking at the damage. My desk was full of receipts and calculators when Leo knocked on my door.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/LeoDavis.jpg
Leo: "So, how's it going for us?"
I just shook my head, not even bothering to look up.
Leo: "That bad, huh? What's the bottom line?"
Gabriel: "The bottom line is that we are down $8,500 dollars. We are barely clearing one and a half grand in the bank and that was just the first show."
I thought Leo was going to have a heart attack from how his eyes bulged.
Leo: "Eight and a half grand! For one show! What the hell are you doing? Wiping your ass with our money?"
Gabriel: "It might not be that bad, we've gotten a couple sponsors and they'll be sending money at the end of the month, and merchandise sales online have started to pick up a little, but my best estimate is that we've burned through half the finances."
Leo surprised me yet again and just shrugged.
Leo: "You know what, I didn't really need a retirement anyway. F*** it, just as long as we put on a good show. If we don't clear a penny, then that's what we do. I'll take out all the loans in my name, everything and we'll keep this company going until the bitter end. Heck, I'll probably get killed in the ring by one of those s***ty XDW guys, I can't believe you hired them."
Gabriel: "They deserve a chance like anyone else. They've got talent, it's just hidden behind a LOT of raw, raw meat. But we have another problem..."
I went on to explain how one of those s***ty XDW guys complained bitterly about his booking. Here at CCW, we have to styles of booking. The first for storylines is booked out "well in advance" but on other matches, matches that aren't involved in a storyline, we let decide based on performance, who would look better winning. Well, the XDW storyline originally called for several of them to advance to the next round, but that was before seeing Davis Wayne Newton in action. DWN will easily be the next Rip Chord or Dan Stone, he's got everything going for him. So we juggled things around and had him going over Daredevil Aero, instead of the other way around. And man did Aero raise hell about that. I put him in his place very quickly, but I was shocked that he was surprised that someone like DWN would be going over him. I responded that he should be lucky to even wrestle someone like DWN and left it at that.
After I told Leo about Daredevil, he just shook his head.
Leo: "Kids today think the world should be handed to them. Whatever happened about putting your time in?"
I just shrugged and went back to the books, hoping that finances and egotistical workers would be the worst of my problems, but my hopes were once again unfulfilled. Monday released a s*** storm that encompassed the whole locker room, and I was caught in the middle...

Monday, Week 3, January 2008
The office was abuzz by the time I arrived to the office. Leo was waiting for me in my office.
Leo: "You're late...again."
Gabriel: "Yeah yeah yeah, I know, I know. So, what's with all the hubbub?"
Leo: "So you haven't heard? Figures. Well, the long of it is that we have a problem, the short of it is that you're going to deal with it."
Gabriel: "Umm...."
Leo: "Last show, Harry apparently found out that Kris (aka Fearless Blue) had claustrophobia. It turns out that he fell in a well when he was a kid and it caused all this psychological damage blah blah blah. Anyway, so Harry thought it would be funny to lock the poor guy in a utility closet after last night's show. "
Gabriel: "You have got to be ****ting me..."
Leo: "No joke, the poor kid was there for 5 hours before the night crew found him. Kid's shaken up pretty bad. Correction, really bad. He asked to take some time off because of it. You should have seen him, he's had a day to rest and he's still shaking. The cleaning lady who found him said that he wasn't screaming or nothing, just shaking like a leaf."
Gabriel: "Alright, I'll take care of it."
Leo: "Damn right you will. That whole bunch was your idea and now they're pissed off at the entire locker room. All those XDW boys think it was some kind of initiation, they think that Harry's one of the guys in charge backstage..."
Gabriel: "What the... Harry's an idiot."
Leo: "I know, you know, but the new guys don't. I need you to take care of this right. Now he should be on his way already, I'll go and let you do what you do. But please, don't make this any worse then it already is."
I nodded and Leo got up and left my office (actually a converted janitors closet. My finance folder was on the shelf beside the Windex). I barely had time to pour myself a drink when Harry popped his head into my door.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/HarryWilson_alt01.jpg
Harry: "Yo, Leo said you wanted to talk to me?"
I sighed and nodded. As Harry settled in I debated hard about how to handle it. Harry was hardly the easiest character to deal with and without Kinuye hear to keep him in line, I had no idea what would happen. Harry has an explosive temper, and this office wasn't big enough for a temper tantrum. Heck, you could barely stand up straight. I decided to try and take it easy.
Gabriel: "I hear you played a prank on one of the other workers..."
Harry just started laughing.
Harry: "Yeah, I heard he wet himself in there. Man, it probably still smells in there."
Gabriel: "Alright Harry, I appreciate you trying to welcome in the new blood in your own way, but you've gotta realize that what you did was way out of line. I mean, Kris went through years of therapy as a kid. It's not being a *****, it's actual psychological damage. You'd be just as messed up if you were trapped in the well."
Harry: "Are you kidding me? Am I really in trouble for something like this? It was a joke. A JOKE! God, doesn't anyone around here have a sense of humor?"
Gabriel: "I understand, but you need to take your audience into account. Some things are ok to make fun of, other things aren't. Phobias are definitely in the "don't" category."
At that point Harry got up shaking his head and rolling his eyes.
Harry: "I carried this promotion for months. When Tully left, I stayed. When Bill left, I stayed. When friggin TJ Bailey left, I stayed. I am your only original star and this is how you're treating me. **** this man, **** this ****. It was a jjoke, end of story, I'm sorry that no one here has a sense of humor."
Harry stormed out, slamming the door behind him. My expert catlike reflexes allowed me to barely avoid having a mop fall on me, instead it slapped dirty mop water all over the paperwork I was filling out. Luckily my drink was still intact, but even after several shots of whiskey, I thought that I could have done better. So much with trying to be nice to an antisocial *******. Now I just had to hope that the XDW guys would let this blow over, or else the locker room would be getting a whole lot messier in the shows to come.

Thanks! I will say that having everyone hate everyone does make for interesting drama. The only "problem" is that with all this backstage drama it means it takes longer for me to actually do shows.
But then again writing about backstage stuff has always been more fun for me then the actual shows, hence why problem is in quotation marks.

January Review
SWF GOES GLOBAL
Boasting record numbers and world wide popularity, SWF has established itself as the largest wrestling promotion in history. With growing popularity in Canada and the UK, Eisen has finally achieved his dream about climbing to the top. The gap between SWF and longtime rival TCW has just widened considerably, and many wonder what Tommy Cornell will do to catch up and overtake this promotion.
World Level Wrestling On the Move
WLW has recently exploded up the charts in Japan. WLW is now on level with INSPIRE, a huge achievement for them. Often dubbed as a "fun, little promotion", such labels will have to be rethought as they are not so little any longer.
Erik Strong wins Rip Chord Invitational
What has become the highlight of the indy tournaments, the Rip Chord Invitational concluded this month crowning Erik Strong as the champion. Erik defeated three opponents to get this title, and joins an elite few as only Steve Parker is the only other Rip Chord champion yet.
New Head Booker for ROF
In a shocking move, Kevin Jones, also known as Shane Hannigans, joined Ring of Fire's creative team as the new head booker for the promotion. Longtime fans are worried that Kevin's style will result in more comedy and gimmicks, taking away from the pure wrestling that fans have enjoyed for years.
"Any worker who wears fake disguise glasses into the ring should not be allowed within 100 meters of ROF, let alone the head of their creative team. What the bloody hell does British Samurai (Robert Brown) think he was doing?"
Despite objections, other fans are eager to see how Kevin will change the slightly stale ROF direction.
Votes Are Tallied
The New Year has marked quite a few new changes to our leader boards. Although Dan Stone Jr. was the fan favorite in '07, the new year has shouted 'Tommy Cornell' loud and clear as he quickly shoots past Dan Stone Jr. for the "Best Overall" award. Meanwhile, the Young Prospects has turned into a three-way race between Marc DuBois, Alicia Stone and Davis Wayne Newton. Davis Wayne Newton came out of nowhere to rock the house, but Alicia Stone and her work in the USPW's Women's Division has secured her place as the January winner. Next up, The Best High Flyer award left The Great Hisato in Japan and first traveled across the Pacific to rest on the shoulders of Angry Gilmore, but then from south of the border Pablo Rodriguez came and blew both Hisato and Gilmore out of the water. Finally, Emma Chase, the longest running web winner at 10 months so far almost lost her title when Floyd Goldworthy started gathering votes after a killer storyline with American Buffalo, but "Easy" Emma easily regained her lead to secure her position as Best Manager for January '08. Already this year is shaping up to be an excellent competition between all of these amazing workers.
TEW Best Worker Awards
"Best Overall Wrestler in the World" - Tommy Cornell
"Best Brawler in Wrestling Today" - Sean McFly (6 months)
"Best High Flyer in Wrestling Today" - Pablo Rodriguez
"Best Technical Wrestler in the World" - Jeremy Stone (6 months)
"Most Entertaining Wrestler in the World" - Christian Faith (6 months)
"Best Young Prospect in Wrestling Today" - Alicia Strong
"Best Manager in the World" - Emma Chase (10 months)
"Best Announcer in the World" - Duane Fry beats Peter Michaels (10 months)
"Best Colour Commentator in the World" - Phil Vilbert (7 months)
Promotion Spotlights
North America
Supreme Wrestling Federation
With their new rise in status, SWF has gone on a spending spree, scouring the world for talent to bring into their already stacked roster. Some big hires were former DaVE star Chris Caulfield, 2-time Rip Chord Invitational winner and PSW National winner Steve "The Future" Parker, 2-time USPW National Winner and 4C Tag Team winner Darryl Devine, and CZCW Champion and Tag Champion James Prudence, who also won the TCW Cruiserweight Tag Team title. This is a veritable "who's who" of the indies, and all have been given the shot at fame and glory in the growing SWF roster.
Jack Giedroyc surprised everyone, including Rich Money when he turned heel with his new "Wrath of God" gimmick. Complete with a helmet and everything, Giedroyc has started predicting other worker's dooms and then ambushing them to fulfill his prophecies. Rich Money was one of his first targets, and to the surprise of fans, Rich has sued his power and influence to help other workers unite against Giedroyc's seemingly random attacks.
New tag team champions were crowned when High Concept defeated the Bumfholes for the titles. The celebration didn't last long, with Elmo and Groucho soon arguing about where they should go to celebrate. Groucho ended the argument by punching Elmo out and drop kicking him out of the ring. Since then, the two have not been seen together and it can only be speculated as to how long the team will last...
Total Championship Wrestling
It has been a good news/bad news deal for the Syndicate this past month. The good news is that Tommy Cornell made two successful defences of the TCW World Heavyweight Title, Wolf Hawkins successfully defended his International title, and the Machines demolished Painful Procedure to retain the TCW World Tag Team titles.
The bad news is that the highly hyped recruitment of Eddie Peak failed miserably, with Stone turning his back entirely on the Syndicate. To make matters worse, that same night saw Rocky Golden, Tyson Baine, and Genghis Rahn annihilate Cornell, Hawkins and Keith when Eddie prevented the Machines from interfering.
United States Pro Wrestling
Tough break for USPW this month, with both Darryl Devine and Chris Caulfield being stolen by SWF, USPW has been scrambling for replacements. To help fill in the gaps, Puerto Rican Power and Roger Dodger have both been signed to PPAs.
Giant Redwood shocked everyone when he crushed Nicky Champion for the USPW Television title. The "giant' ended the match with a huge chokeslam that nearly broke the ring in two. Rumor has it that Nicky Champion is still feeling the effects of that match, even as he's gunning for a rematch.
North Of The Border Pro Wrestling
All remains quite on this front. After the famous Edd Stone desertion, NOTBPW has withdrawn its feelers from North America and has been going back to their more traditional werestling. Experts say that this is a huge step backward as before they were on the verge of breaking into the US market, but now they are concentrating solely on Canada.
Canadian Golden Combat
Jacob Jett made his smashing debut, defeating Grimm Quibble at CGC Elimination. Jacob Jett is well known in Canada as one of the stars of 4C. The fact that he is working a PPA for CGC might indicate that CGC and 4C are potentially teaming together to try and break NOTBPW's dominance on Canadian wrestling.
South Of The Border Pro Wrestling
Gonzalo Rubio and Verdugo Estupendo have teamed together to form Arruinamiento del Equipo. The team immediately lept into action absolutely destroying Dante and Hysteria in a tag match.
Mexico's favorite star, Champagne Lover made a successful defence of the title this month, defeating Mario Heroic in a spectacular match at SOTBPW Batalla de las Mascaras
Europe
21st Century Wrestling
A couple new "faces" in 21st century wrestling as both Joss Thompson and Jonathan Faust turn face after they each made a save on a fellow worker. First Jonathan Faust saved Pit Bull Brown from a backstage attack by the UK Dragon, and then Joss Thompson saved Faust from an ambush lead by Stevie Stoat. Of particular note, The Takeover, Thompson's tag team with Leo Price has shown signs of strain, as Price is still a major heel in the company and the two are often seen arguing about how they should get things accomplished
Along with the "faces" are some actual new faces, as both UK Dragon and Arthur T. Turtle have signed PPAs with 21cw. UK Dragon has become a main event heel while Arthur T. Turtle is pushed as a lower midcard face.
Japan
Burning Hammer Of The Wrestling Gods
Big news from the hammer as fan favorite Eisaku Hoshino has agreed to a short-term contract with BHOTWG. It is unknown how Eisaku will be used as he is not listed on any of the advance bookings. Many smarks are speculating that they'll keep Eisaku in the shadows, waiting to use him as a surprise guest.
Another fan favorite, Hell Monkey will be appears as in upper midcard face, although some fans might not recognize him as he is billed as Burning Monkey and is wearing a much darker mask then usual.
Inspire Diversity Group International
Tadiyuki Kikkawa demonstrates just why he is one of the most feared wrestlers in the business when he successfully defended the King of Fighter title 5 times in one month. He defeated such high-caliber challengers as Billy Russell, Masaaki Okazaki, Morimasa Kato, Raul Hughes, and former champion Marat Khoklov
Pride Glory Honor Wrestling
PGHW utilized their development fed, SAISHO when they called up Eien Miyamoto. Eien had just made his first successful defence of his newly won SAISHO Destiny belt when the big wigs at PGHW felt he was ready for the big leagues. Right now Eien is just an opening heel, but many predict big things from him in the future.
Best of the Month
This month we have a tie, and surprisingly they both go to the same people. Jeremy Stone and Johnny Bloodstone have truly perfected their art facing each other as on two seperate occassions they faced in what many believe to be the greatest matches of their respective careers. The fact that they did it twice has shown that it was not just a fluke event, but a perfected match from years of experience with both each other and with other people.
(editor's note: Yeah, Jeremy Stone and Johnny Bloodstone have excellent chemistry, and so I suspect the AI will be milking it for everything it's worth. The very first match up between those two: A*, and the subsequent match up was an A* as well. I have a feeling NOTBPW is going to rise up again on the backs of those two wrestlers.)
Worst Moment of the Month
The worst moment of the month goes to PSW. Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling, which rose from the ashes of Danger and Violence Extreme is already experiencing the setbacks that plauged DaVE from start to finish. The PSW National Title had just recently been won by Steve Parker when he was signed to SWF, forcing PSW to vacate the title. Frankie Future went on to win the title, but the damage had already been done. All the storylines and momentum surrounding the mid-level title was destroyed as Steve Parker left before he could pass the belt to another worker. The rumor mill was spinning as many believed that Eisen had no real interest in recruiting Parker, but was sending a message to Mitch Naess.

CCW NEWS REPORT
Next Show: CCW Train Wreck
Champions Tournament Continues!
After an exciting first round, the tournament will continue on to the quarter-finals, with the semi-finals and finals held in March. The brackets have been established, so place your predictions.
Tag Teams Enter the Fray!
Both stables, the Coalition and the Alliance have generated tag teams to enter into the inevitable tag team tournament. From the Coalition comes Hitmen, Inc. comprised of Switchblade Mike and Dusty Bin. From the XDW Alliance comes Team Xtreme, comprised of Extreme Deluxe and Daredevil Aero. Both of these teams will face off next month as a warm up to the main event.
Women's Division Expands
Current champion Ginko Kuroda is scheduled to make her first title defence next month, and she'll be facing the ravishing, russian Agent 69. Ginko has been off her game ever since losing last year's Women's Tournament title to Suzanne Brazzle. Then she lost the Women's Champion belt to Nadia Snow. Since that double blow, Ginko has apparently lost her passion and drive, will she have what it takes to overcome the deadly Agent? Find out next week at CCW Train Wreck.
Quick Picks:
Hitmen, Inc. vs. Team Xtreme
Fearless Blue vs. Xavier Reckless
Bob Casey vs. Dermot O'Logical

Hitmen, Inc. vs. Team Xtreme
Unless Team Xtreme really are getting the 'Generation Next' push, I can't see them going over Harry Wilson's goons.
Fearless Blue vs. Xavier Reckless
These two won't like the fact that they are forced to face other but I think Fearless Blue will beat Reckless with a flash pin, thus sowing the seeds for instant tension within the group.
Bob Casey vs. Dermot O'Logical
The skincare obsessive looks in line for a big push in CCW
Davis Wayne Newton vs. Leo Davis
DWN is already streets ahead of Leo Davis in terms of talent, at about half the age. But Davis set up CCW as a promotion where he wouldn't be treated like a jobber and I expect him to put himself over.
Harry Wilson vs. Vin Tanner
Surprised to see this match so soon in the tournament, but I suppose it keeps things unpredictable. I know you promised Tanner a title run, but I think Wilson's goons will get involved and cost Tanner a chance at winning the tournament.

Hitmen Inc. vs. Team Xtreme
Team Xtreme doesn't look nearly as ****y as they normally do as they crane their necks up to look at the Hitmen. When the bell rings, both hitmen immediately clothesline their opponents, flattening Daredevil Aero and Extreme Deluxe. Team Xtreme is then thrown around the mat like a couple of rag dolls. Extreme Deluxe tries to counter and even manages to launch himself off a turnbuckle, but Mikey was waiting for him, catching him in mid-air and slamming him down in the massive powerbomb called "The Switchblade." Meanwhile, the crowd has yelled itself hoarse yelling for everyone to get off the stage so the real wrestling can starte.
Hitmen, Inc. defeated Team Xtreme in 3:33 when Switchblade Mike defeated Extreme Deluxe by pinfall with a Switchblade.

Fearless Blue VS. Xavier Reckless
Fearless and Xavier come out together, shaking hands and laughing like old friends. When the bell is rung, Xavier motions for Fearless to lie down in the middle of the ring. Fearless, meanwhile drops into a wrestling stance and shakes his head. This time Xavier gestures violently towards the middle of the ring and again Fearless Blue shakes his head. What follows is an intense bout of crappy wrestling. Between missed spots and bad timing. However, both workers give it their all, attacking each other without holding anything back. Xavier hits his Slingshot DDT, dropping Fearless Blue and Xavier quickly covers for the pin. After the match, Xavier grabs a mic, prodding the still prone form of Fearless Blue.
Xavier: "Do you see what happens when you don't follow the plan? If you would have just listened to me and forfeited, I wouldn't have had to whip your ass all around this arena. Let that be a lesson next time you plan on ignoring me."
He throws the mic onto Fearless Blue, who still isn't moving. Officials come out and carry him backstage.
Xavier Reckless defeated Fearless Blue in 11:36 by pinfall with a Slingshot DDT.

A feed from a little digital video camera is shown up on the gym's projector. Vin's car pulls up to the arena and he hops out. He waves at passing fans, signs a few autographs and then heads into the locker room. As soon as he enters, the Hitmen ambush him from both sides.

Dusty Bin has a chair, while Switchblade Mike is laying into Vin with some heavy body punches. Vin doesn't take that kind of abuse lightly, he wrestles the chair out of Dusty's grasp and starts dishing out a beating back at his attackers when from behind, Harry spears Vin into the lockers, denting and mangling the doors.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/HarryWilson_alt01.jpg
As Vin struggles to get back up, the three Coalition members start mudhole stomping Vin into the ground. From somewhere deeper into the locker room a loud noise is heard, and the Coalition members look around before bolting. Vin, battered and bloody, struggles and gets back to his feet, his face a mask of raw fury.

Chloe Dean comes out to the arena, looking very attractive in her hippy costume. She flashes a few more peace signs before grabbing the mic.
Chloe: "Like, where's my main man?"
Bob Casey takes that as his cue, walking down to the scattered cheers from the crowd. He climbs into the ring and stands beside Chloe.
Chloe: "Like, soon he'll be fighting for his life against that weird skin guy, and all I can say is that mother earth has blessed me with a vision. She has shown me that Bob Casey will be holding the Championship title high next month, and like, then he'll be tackled by an adoring fan. It'll be awesome, man. So no weird skin guy can get in the way of Mother Earth's predictions. I mean, it's Mother Earth, and you should always listen to your mother."

Ginko vs. Agent 69
The match starts and only Agent 69 is in the ring. The ref shrugs and moves to call for a forfeit when the lights shut off. When they come back on, Ginko is standing behind Agent 69 in a deep martial art stance. The referee sees her and rings the bell, but Agent 69 hasn't looked yet and looks confused. Comprehension dawns on her, and she suddenly lashes out behind her throwing first an elbow and then a rear hook kick, but Ginko is ready, blocking both of them. The two women are the embodiment of intensity, both of them launching offensive and defensive maneuvers at the same time. After ten minutes of punching, kicking, and flipping back and forth, Ginko gains the advantage. Agent 69 tries to axekick a low standing Ginko, but Ginko catches the foot, sweeps Agent's remaining foot out, and then Ginko quickly latches on with her Dragon's Claw (a modified cobra clutch). Agent 69 tries to escape, she tries to get to the ropes, but the pain is too much and she taps out.
Ginko Kuroda defeated Agent 69 in 10:52 by submission with a Dragon's Claw. Ginko Kuroda makes defense number 1 of her CCW Women's Championship title.

Bob Casey vs. Dermot O'Logical
This time, when Dermot O'Logical comes out, he is not wearing his usual moisturizer and cucumber slices over the eyes. Instead he's wearing a white lab coat.
Dermot O'Logical: "Greetings ignoramuses. Many of you have come to adore me for my flawless complexion, but I must confess, I have lost my way. You see, there is only so much that can be gained from this kind of skin treatment. Luckily for me I have discovered a better alternative. Plastic Surgery! Now not only can I make myself look even more beautiful, I might be able to help all of you fix the things that are wrong with you too. No more buckteeth, no more pizza faces, and the best part is, not only will you look better, but then I won't have to look at your ugly faces any longer!"
Dermot O'Logical sounds like he's trying to be helpful, but the crowd is just booing at him and throwing things at him. Behind him, Bob Casey strolls up to the ring and slaps the mic out of Dermot O'LOgical's hand. Dermot starts yelling at Bob, who just stands there waiting for the ref to ring the bell. As soon as he does, Bob hits a spinebuster on Dermot and the match is on. These two are both big brawlers, and the match becomes another hard-hitting slug fest. Dermot O'Logical goes for a giant body slam when Bob ducks out of it and hits a Roll UP (small package) on the tired Dermot O'Logical and gets the three count to the surprise of the crowd.
Chloe, on her way out, picks up the mic.
Chloe: "Guess you better go back to med school, man."

Leo Davis vs. DWN
Leo walks down to the ring first, grabbing a mic and pointing back to the main entrance.
Leo: "If you think some insolent little whelp is gonna get one over me, you'd best think again. Davis, yer ass is gonna be tanned like an uppity kid in about five minutes, so come on out and take your whupping and give these people a show."
Davis Wayne Newton (DWN) answers Leo's taunt, coming down, hopping into the ring and grabbing the mic right from Leo's hands.
DWN: "Listen, old man. I've seen how things are done around here. Just because you own this company doesn't mean you deserve to win. You use your power and money to get much farther ahead then you deserve, and I'm here to give you a little dose of reality. Because now is the time for D...W...N!"
DWN gets right in Leo's face, flashing little hand symbols of each initial as he goes. By the time DWN gets to 'N' Leo is bright red in the face, and DWN picks up on that, throwing the biggest ****y smile in the world inches away from Leo's face. Leo responds by headbutting DWN and the match is on.
DWN quickly recovers and uses his impressive agility to literally run circles around Leo. Leo keeps trying to catch DWN, but the younger, better athlete is just too fast and too skilled to stay cornered. DWN repeatedly drops Leo and almost gets a three-count after one cover, but Leo keeps kicking out. After being whipped towards the ropes, Leo "stumbles" and bumps the ref, knocking him out of the ring.
As soon as that happens, a new side of Leo is seen. He charges at DWN who prepares for a spinebuster, but instead Leo pokes DWN right in the eyes and then kicks a field goal right between the legs of DWN. As DWN bends over, eyes bulging and grasping at his little Newtons, Leo whips out his trusty brass knuckles and, taking his time, delivers a Brass Knuckle Sandwich that knocks DWN out cold. Leo slips away the knuckles just as the ref recovers. Leo even helps the ref back into the ring os that he can deliver the 3-count. After getting his hand raised, Leo bends over and starts trash talking the still unconscious DWN before officials come and help DWN out of the ring.

Lee: "That was quite the match. I'm glad Leo put that arrogant youth in his place. People like DWN need to be taught a lesson. Anyway, we now go backstage where Gabriel will be interviewing Harry Wilson about his upcoming match with former-DaVE champion vin Tanner."
The projector cuts to a video made with a hand held camera that looks suspiciously like video recorded on a cell phone. Gabriel is heading towards Harry Wilson backstage. Harry is busy stretching, and when Gabriel starts to approach Harry, Kristen comes swooping in and leads Gabriel away.
Kristen: "My client does not wish to be disturbed while he's busy preparing for his match. Now, is there anything you would like to know?"
Gabriel: "Ummm...how does Harry feel about his chances in his match with Vin."
Kirsten: "Let's get one thing straight right now. Vin is just another old wrestler well past his prime. He's like that kid who graduates from high school but still sticks around because he doesn't have anything better to do. Vin is just waiting to be injured, to be put into retirement and my client is just the man to do it. Harry is not worried at all, In fact, Harry will do the best he can to make sure that Vin gets that nice, long, immediate, retirement that he deserves."
Gabriel: "Uhh...thanks. That was very...informative. And now, for our final match of the evening."

Harry Wilson w/ Kristen Pearce vs. Vin Tanner
Despite his manager's earlier confidence, Harry starts out dancing around the ring looking like the last thing he wants to do is tangle with Vin. Just as Vin is starting to get Harry cornered, the Hitmen walk down to the ring, Dusty and Switchblade Mike stand by the ring and look menacing.
Vin goes on the defensive, being careful to avoid the edge of the ring. Meanwhile, Kristen hops on the apron and starts distracting the ref, arguing about this and that. With the ref's back turned to it, harry charges Vin, forcing him back just enough for Dusty to grab one leg, Mike to grab the other and drag Vin out of the ring.
Harry climbs the ropes and drops an elbow onto the prone Vin while Dusty and Mike hold him in position. All three once again start mudhole stomping and triple teaming Vin for a full minute before rolling him back into the ring. Kristen hops down and Harry goes for the pin, but Vin kicks out. Vin gets up and starts a full offensive against Harry, hitting suplexes and side slams and crushing Harry. Harry looks shocked that Vin is fighting back, and signals for Kristen to distract the ref once more.
This time Dusty and Mike climb into the ring, but a charging Vin clotheslines them both, knocking them head over heels. They both roll out and start digging for weapons. Harry meanwhile is flat out running away from the enraged Vin. Dusty finds a chair and slides it into the ring. Harry makes to grab for it but Vin charges him instead. But wait, it was a trap. Harry catches Vin's arm and hits a quick Humility right onto the chair. The blow bursts Vin's face wide open and Harry quickly kicks the chair out of the ring before the ref can turn around and catch it.
Vin is stunned but not down, and harry hits a drop kick and another elbow drop, but still Vin climbs to his feet. Harry hits another Humility and this time the ref hits the mat the third time before Vin can kick out. Harry and his men quickly clear out of the ring as Vin gets up again and chases them backstage.
Harry Wilson defeated Vin Tanner in 7:45 by pinfall with a Humility following interference from Switchblade Mike. During the match we also had Dusty Bin run in and attack Vin Tanner.

Monday, Week 3, February 2008
Ever since last August, I've come to dread the Monday after a show. CCW has been barely squeaking by and had already had rumors of bankruptcy circling it already, and recently we have been bleeding money left and right. As usual, Leo was already waiting for me in my "office"
Leo: "You're late...again. What is this... the 300th time?"
Gabriel: "Well, take the number of days I've worked for you and subtract twelve..."
Leo did not smile at my jest. Partially because it wasn't that far from the truth, but there was definitely something on his mind. I tried to head it off at the pass.
Gabriel: "I've already talked to the XDW boys and Harry Wilson. Nobodies happy about it, but the last show went much smoother. Vin complained a little about losing the match, but when i explained the bigger picture he quieted down and did a good job. Best match of the year so far. And Harry hasn't pulled any more pranks, so that's good, right?"
Leo shook his head and tossed an opened letter to me. I opened it up and immediately understood the source of his dour mood. It was a letter from the bank. They said that CCW's account was overdrawn and that several checks had already bounced. This was bad indeed.
Leo: "What happened? We had half as many workers as last time, heck we even cut the show from an hour and a half to just an hour. We can't cut the length any more or else it's not even worth having. According to this, we spent $6,000 on personnel on Friday. I need you to figure out how that could be, and I need to know today. Now I'm going down to the bank to straighten a few things out, I expect answers tomorrow."
He tossed me a pile of receipts and bank statements and headed out. I wasted no time in pouring through them, plugging in numbers, I figured I'd be having to pull an all-nighter to figure it out, but the answer came to me in only ten minutes.
When Leo returned, I had it all figured out.
Gabriel: "The travel budget..."
Leo: "The travel budget? What about it?"
Gabriel: "Last Friday our workers racked up over $1,500 in travel costs and billed it all to us. I realized that we were a little hasty in hiring some of these guys. Looking back over the contracts, I realized that we agreed to pay "reasonable travel expenses." I was thinking picking up the gas bill but we were so quick to sign Bob Casey and Davis Newton that we didn't really think it through. Bob and Davis have been charging airline tickets, while Vin's been going to town. First class tickets and two nights in a good hotel. That's an extra $800 we're paying him every time he shows up for a show."
Leo: "$800!? Great. That means that last Friday, half of our budget went to one person by himself."
Gabriel: "We never signed anyone half as big as Vin so it was never an issue. The guys legit and gives us credibility. It was all over the news when he showed up on our roster. And he's willing to do the job every now and then. You can't really put a price on that."
Leo: "Apparently he can. I was just down at the bank and I found out the whole story. CCW's going belly up again. I had to pull out another loan to keep afloat. We're going to have to take some time off to recover costs, we can't run a show a month."
Gabriel: "What? We're canceling shows already?"
Leo: "We have to . Maybe with merchandise and sponsors we can keep going a little longer, but we lose too much money a month to keep going full bore."
I paused for awhile, soaking it all in.
Gabriel: "...you took out another loan?"
Leo: "Yeah, that puts me about 25 grand in debt. There's no way I can get another loan until I pay all of that back. We've got two years to come up with the money or the bank will foreclose."
I nodded, thinking about how it now felt that there was a Damocles sword hanging over us. If the sponsors ever withdrew their money, or if we ran too big of a show, or if we couldn't raise the money in time... any one of those things could cause CCW to close for good, and while it would suck for most of these workers to be back on the streets again, there wouldn't be a future for Leo. Everything he had was on the line. As Leo walked out of my office, I resolved that I would make CCW profitable even if it was the last thing I would ever do.

SWF Roster Expands
Following last months records growth, SWF has announced the addition of several new members to their roster. BHOTWG Gears Up For Tour
The first BHOTWG tour of the year starts in March, and BHOTWG is already gearing up for it as they have announced several of the workers who will be touring with them. The stars come from all across the globe, including Jack Marlowe, Acid, Mohamed El Yaaggoudi, Champagne Lover, and Rhino Umaga. Champagne Lover was an especially exciting hire as the Mexican Superstar is one of the most popular figures in Luchadore wrestling.

In results that have shocked the entire staff, we have officially declared that Gino Montero has won the "Best Overall Worker in Wrestling Today." This is no joke, that is the results of our online poll. We here on staff don't know which is more surprising, the fact that Gino is a rookie who just entered the world of wrestling, the fact that Gino hasn't wrestled a single official match, or that Gino's name is mostly lost as soon as you leave Mexico, but the results tell it all. Apparently Gino released several videos online that have become instant hits to wrestling fans worldwide as he demonstrates his phenomenal ability and his excellent in-ring presence, Gino has taken this month's voting by storm. Other then the Gino controversy, this month's polls have been rather stable. The Awesome Kiyaru came out of nowhere, defeating Pablo Rodriguez in a landslide to take the Best High Flier title. Now that Phil has taken a leave of abscense from the wrestling world, his votes have stopped coming in for the Best Colour Commentator. BSC Commentator Sara Silver briefly overtook his results before being crushed by votes for Adrian Garcia.

Next Show: CCW Mailed Fission
Champions Tournament Continues!
The semi-final matchs will be held next this coming month. In just two weeks time, Bob Casey and Leo Davis will slug it out while Harry Wilson and Xavier Reckless do battle as they all claw and fight their way to the coveted CCW Championship belt.
Rumors Addressed
There have been recent speculations on our forums that Davis Wayne Newton and Jemma Griffiths have been seen together eating dinner and seeing movies together. First, nothing has changed between Jemma Griffiths and Rex Reeves. They continue to work well together and Jemma's relationship with DWN is one of pure friendship.
Quick Picks:

Bob Casey vs. Leo Davis
Harry Wilson vs. Xavier Reckless

Quick Picks:
K-Squared vs. Extreme Deluxe
Extreme Deluxe may just be the worst of the XDW crew, on the other hand CCW could be just the place for the former Stunning Stuart to salvage his career
Bob Casey vs. Leo Davis
I'll go with Casey here, as you'll want an out-right face in the finals
Harry Wilson vs. Xavier Reckless
Harry Wilson and his goons > Backyard spot monkeys
Dermot O'Logical vs. Vin Tanner
So much for Dermot's push and Tanner will need a win here, to help repair the damage of his loss to Harry Wilson.

So much for Dermot's push...
Don't worry, Dermot will have his day. The only issue is that the storyline ideas I have for him are very very gimmicky, frankly because he's such a gimmicky character. I've envisioned CCW to be similar to TCW, where the focus is on wrestling and "real" characters instead of over-the-top gimmicks and stupid storylines about space aliens etc. but Dermot lends himself towards that, so if you forgive me for a rather unusual storyline, I can at least guarantee that it will be unique and original :D

Extreme Deluxe vs. K-Squared
The opening match has K-Squared facing off against the c0cky Extreme Deluxe. When the match starts, Extreme turns his back on K, turning to the crowd to signal that he has already won. K-Squared responds by launching a series of aerial attacks that wipe the smile from Extreme Deluxe's face. Extreme manages a few counters and attacks, but K-Squared ends the match with a Square Root (top rope facebuster) and picks up the win.
K-Squared defeated Extreme Deluxe in 8:01 by pinfall with a Square Root

Kristen strolls out, looking absolutely ravishing in her sexy secretary outfit. She motions for a microphone and Lee Bambino nearly trip in handing over his. She strolls out to the middle of the ring.
Kristen: "Let me introduce everyone to the next CCW Champion..."

Harry walks down the entrance ramp, straightening his tie flashing a arrogant smile.
Kristen: "What else is left to be said? Harry has proven time and time again why he is the best. Tully Arthurs? Harry beat him. American Elemental? Harry beat him. And now, Vin Tanner? Harry beat him. There is no one left that can stand in his way, and Xavier Reckless and the rest of his XDW boys are nothing but a speed bump on the fast track to victory. So go ahead and start cheering for your champion now, it'll save you the time."
Harry raises his arms in celebration, but the crowd naturally showers him with boos. Kristen just shakes her head.
Kristen: "It's only natural that a man this great would invoke such feelings of jealousy and anger from such simple people. But please, look past those base feelings and be thankful that you are in the presence of such greatness. Be thankful that you few get to witness Harry's rise. The future is right here, everyone, be thankful that you are the first to witness it."
Kristen sets down the microphone as the crowd continues to boo. Harry holds out his arm for Kristen, and she latches on and the two stroll out of the ring.

Bob Casey vs. Leo Davis
Both Leo and Bob come ready to fight, neither spends time playing up the crowd. Once again an old-school brawling match starts up, but from the beginning Bob is winning. He's hitting harder, he's recovering faster, and Leo just can't keep up. Leo hops out of the ring temporarily, and as the ref is counting Leo secretly slips on his knuckle dusters. He keeps his hand hidden from the ref when he climbs back in the ring, motioning for Bob to come at him. Bob charges and Leo counter-charges. Bob ducks Leo's clothesline and Leo decks the ref right in the face with the brass knuckles. The ref drops like a sac of potatoes and all the rules go out the window. Leo attacks Bob with everything, chairs, brass knuckles, low-blows, but Bob stays one step ahead, dodging the chair shots, covering his privates in time to prevent the low blows, and the two fight to a standstill. Finally, Leo connects with a chair shot, dropping Bob in the middle of the ring, but then the bell is sounded, the ref recovered in time to see Leo's weapon use. Bob wins by DQ. Leo has to be dragged from the ring, he's furious at the ref, calling out that the ref will get what's coming to him. The crowd isn't happy that a semi-final match ended with a DQ, and their cat calls make that very evident.
Bob Casey defeated Leo Davis in 12:17 by disqualification.

Dermot O'Logical comes out grabbing a mic on his way to the ring. The crowd boos as he enters, but he cuts through their noise. His whole outfit and demeanor have changed. He walks calmly, not nearly as energetically as last month when he announced his rejection of skin treatments in favor of plastic surgery. He is still wearing his white lab coat.
Dermot: "Greetings, ignoramuses. Witness my birth, witness my transformation. I am no longer Dermot O'Logical, petty fool obsessed with lotions and ointments. Instead, I have discovered something...more. I have become something...more. They say that God has made us in his own likeness, so what happens when we change that? What happens if we perfect that form? Wouldn't that mean that we would turn ourselves into God? I have begun a journey, a journey that will end with my immortality. Unfortunately, there are sacrifices that must be made, and Vin has nominated himself by facing me in the ring. I'm sorry Vin, but you must be the first..."
Dermot slowly walks away from the ring. The audience is thoroughly creeped out by his performance.

Harry Wilson vs. Xavier Reckless
Both Harry and Xavier start the match by showboating for the audience, Harry takes one side of the ring, Xavier takes the other. Eventually the two bump into each other and start a shoving match. Then the bell rings and the shoving turns into a slugging match, and finally it turns into a real wrestling match. Harry has a slight size advantage, Xavier is slightly more athletic and this results in a very fast paced match. Harry utilizes his size very well, and soon Xavier is on the defensive. From backstage, Extreme Deluxe charges out. He starts distracting Harry and the match swings. Xavier knocks Harry out of the ring and Extreme Deluxe goes to town, beating and battering Harry. Harry eventually struggles back into the ring, only to be met by a rested and recovered Xavier. Extreme pops up to the apron to help Xavier. Xavier goes to whip Harry into the ropes, but Harry suddenly counters, whipping into Xavier who collides with Extreme Deluxe. Xavier is stunned nad Extreme Deluxe is knocked to the ground. Harry immediatly capitalizes by hitting a DDT and stomping the grounded Xavier. Harry then pulls Xavier up and hits a Humility, bouncing Xavier's face off the mat and rolling him into a pin. The ref hits the mat for the third time before Xavier can kick out.
Harry Wilson defeated Xavier Reckless in 12:54 by pinfall with a Humility. During the match we also had Extreme Deluxe accidentally hit Xavier.

Dermot O'Logical vs. Vin Tanner
Dermot O'Logical comes out with a fury, sending Vin on the defensive right off the bat. Vin quickly recovers from his surprise, but there is a fury in Dermot's eyes that is making even the V-Man nervous. Vin pushes it aside and reverses a suplex, slamming Dermot O'Logical instead. This surprises Dermot to no end, and the fury dies, and Dermot O'Logical seems almost curious about Vin Tanner. Vin uses Dermot's distraction to regain the momentum, and it isn't too much longer before Vin is signaling for his finisher. A V For Victory later, Vin has his arm raised victory. Even after the match, Dermot O'Logical is observing...almost studying Vin.
Vin Tanner defeated Dermot O'Logical in 7:41 by pinfall with a V For Victory.

March Review
Golden Canvas Grappling and World Level Wrestling Ends Tour
Although GCG's touring season has come to a close, the promotion is still busy. They have begun preparing for the next tour, signing suhch workers as Adam Matravers, Merle O'Curle, Frankie Perez and Insane Machine for their next tour. WLW has also start signing touring contracts, signing indy legends like American Elemental, Bulldozer Brandon Smith, Henry Lee and Jacob Jett.
New Couple Discovered
Many people have wondered why Davis Wayne Newton would be involved with such a tiny promotion like Chicago Championship Wrestling, but the answer has become clear. Jemma Griffiths, a valet for the tiny local Chicago Championship Wrestling has been seen dating Davis Wayne Newton, the rising Canadian star of 4C. A friend of Griffiths was able to confirm this report. This is a rather surprising couple, especially because the rumor mill is spinning that Daivs Wayne Newton is quickly outgrowing the small CCW promotion and it's only a matter of time before one of the big North American promotions starts knocking on his door. Candian-American relationships are fairly common, including such couples as Catherine Quine and Damian "The Natural" Carvill and of course, Sean McFly and Victoria Stone.
Votes Are Tallied
The Japanese fans have voted up a storm this month. First off, Haruki Kudo finally overcame Sean McFly as the Best Brawler while Yoshimi Mushashibo overtook McFly's brother-in-law Jeremy Stone. Champagne Lover came rocketing out of last place to suddenly secure victory over the Awesome Kuyaru. Finally, it came as no small surprise as Tommy Cornell surpassed Gino Montero as the Best Overall Wrestler. While the young Gino is very talented, he has yet to sign with any promotion, leaving his totals in the dust behind the more established wrestlers.

Pride Glory Honor Wrestling
The call up continues as this month Stone Yoshikawa and Totoya Munakata were called up from SAISHo.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, recently called up rookie, Torch Nakazawas was fired. IT has become obvious that he was only called up so that his comtract could be terminated, an unfortunate series of events.
Finally, Masutaro Kataoka was sent back into development, although the 40-year-old wrestler is expected to help train the new recruits as opposed to trying to develop himself.
Longtime PGHW mainstay Danger Kumasaka has announced that he will be following in Junnosuke's steps and also be retiring. This 54-year-old wrestler is a two-time Historical Japan champion.
Speaking of the Historical Japan title, the Historical Japan title changed hands when Alexander Robinson defetaed Tetsunori Yasuda for the title. This will be Alex's second title reign.
The PGHW Glory Tag Crown also changed hands when Kawashima & Koiso defeated Muruyama & Ugaki who only managed two defenses before being beaten. This will be Kawashima & Koiso's second time with the Glory crown.
World Level Wrestling
The WLW tour has ended.
Match of the Month
This time the Match of the Month crosses the Pacific and lands right on Japan. Yoshimi Mushashibo and Eisaku Kunomasu put on a spectacular match fighting for the PGHW Glory Crown. The "Lord Of Strong Style" Kunomasu was unable to escape the dreaded Yoshimii Lock and was forced to submit.
Worst Moment of the Month
The worst moment this month came when Nene Ebina announced her retirement from wrestling and nobody showed up. Nene was an MMA fighter before crossing over into professional wrestling in 2004. Since then, she has tried to find a job working for promotions, but due to the MMA controversy was not hired by 5SSW. Nene then crossed over to try and find work with either AAA or NOTBPW but once again neither promotion wanted anything to do with Nene. TEW hopes that she has a better career working backstage for a promotion now that she is retiring from active competition.

CCW NEWS REPORT SUPPLEMENT
CCW Announces Return of Scooter Hanson Invitational Tournament
Once again, wrestlers from around the globe are flying in to participate in the second annual Hanson Invitational Tournament. Last year's tournament was a huge success, with AAA's Suzanne Brazzle winning the Womens Cup and former-DaVE star Art Reed winning in the Mens division. The tournament also featured such indy stars as Electrico, Plague, Larry Wood, Mainstream Hernandez, and The Natural. This year there will be some familiar faces, as well as some newcomers to the tournament. This year, the Men's division will feature 24 wrestlers, half will be chosen from CCW's own roster, the other half will be from promotions around the world, including Mexico, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The first round will be a three-way elimination match, with each match afterwards being a standard 1 vs. 1 matchup. This means that there will be 3 rounds of competition. The Women's division will also feature 3 rounds, but will be in a more traditional manner, with 8 female competitors being in the first round.
Background
The original CCW was a development territory set up by the American Pro-Wrestling Federation and founded by Scooter Hanson. Hanson was also the twin brother of Jeff and Jerry Hanson who both worked for APWF as referees. CCW's brief 5 year run ended when APWF started losing money and popularity to a rising SWF, and without APWF's support the small Chicago promotion quickly and quietly closed it's doors. Scooter Hanson continued to work as a referee, working in the industry for almost 20 years before retiring. In 2002 Scooter Hanson died from a congenital heart problem. His identical twin brothers also died shortly afterwards. This tournament is dedicated to Scooter, as well as the other two Hanson brothers as a way of honoring Scooter's vision for Chicago wrestling.
Tournament Profiles
Every month, four of the participating members of the tournament will be revealed. This month, the Women's Division shall be announced.

Alexis Lee Littlefeather (6-0)
More then just another pretty face, this Native American uses her Tomahawk to great effect within the ring. Equally skilled on the ground as she is in the air, she is undefeated for this year within BSC. She hopes to continue that winning streak right to the tournament championship.

From across the Pacific from 5-Star Supreme Wrestling comes...

Tsuki Kawamata (7-1-24)
Tsuki is the most experienced wrestler at the tournament, already wrestling 33 matches this year alone. She is known for her work with both 5SSW and AAA, but has recently decided to focus on her Japanese career. Will that focus pay off with a tournament win?

Trained on the Mexican and Southern California circuits, Miss Mexico surprises her opponents with her sudden lucha offense. Although she is on a losing streak right now, this only makes Miss Mexico push harder for victory.

Grace Harper (4-1-12)

These ladies will be competing against these women from CCW:
Ginko Kuroda (Womens Champion)
Carnival Queen Kendra
Nurse Darla Knight
Agent 69
Tigerkinney

Quick Picks:
Evil Spirit vs. Sir Arthur
First appearance from either of these for a while, and I can't really decide between the pair of them
Jeremy Jazz vs. ???
Whining Jeremy Jazz, gets put in his place by Leo Davis handpicked opponent
Ginko Kuorda (c) vs. Nurse Darla Knight for the CCW Women's Championship
Kuroda rolls on
Davis Wayne Newton vs. Leo Davis
Another cheap win for the owner. It's his fed, so he doesn't have to put over up and coming talent, which he's probably quite bitter about after all those years of looking up at the lights
Bob Casey vs. Harry Wilson for CCW Championship title
Unless you're going to majorly swerve us, this has been building up to a Harry Wilson win for sometime and the obvious challenger is already in place, in the form of Vin Tanner.

Evil Spirit vs. Sir Arthur
The rivalry between these two goes back over a year. Sir Arthur once again boasts about vanquishing the evil from th arena. Evil Spirit has no intention of being exorcised, though, and a dropkick to the face, popping the helmet right off of Arthur. Evil Spirit maintains the offensive and these two put on a fairly decent display for the two, moving as if they had practiced beforehand. Evil Spirit finally finishes Sir Arthur by hitting the Dead Calm Drop II, a shotting star senton so called for the tenancy for the audience to fall silent while Evil Spirit hits it.
Evil Spirit defeated Sir Arthur in 5:31 by pinfall with a Dead Calm Drop II.

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/LeoDavis.jpg
The show starts with Leo Davis entering the ring and grabbing a microphone from the announcer's table.
Leo: "Alright y'all, settle down. Now, as posted online, Jeremy Jazz came up to me and said that he wasn't be used correctly. That he should be given a shot at a title. And ya know what, he was right. I wasn't using him right, but unlike other mistakes I've made in the past, I can fix this one. So Jeremy, you're backstage listening to all of this, I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna put you in a match with another annoying young boy... how about one of those XDW guys who keep shooting their mouths off. Anyway, the winner will get a slot in the tournament."
At that moment Xavier Reckless appears at the entrance ramp. He raises his hand, motioning that he'll take the challenge. Jeremy Jazz follows him out, strutting about and looking a bit pleased with himself.
Leo: "Oh.. one last thing. I can't have people making demands on me. Makes me look weak, and I really do hate looking weak. So the loser will be terminated...effective immediately."

Jeremy Jazz vs. Xavier Reckless w/ Monique
Both Jeremy and Xavier are surprised at Leo's announcement, but Xavier recovers first and starts wailing away at Jeremy. Jeremy recovers quickly enough and the two go back and forth quite evenly. Jeremy starts getting the advantage, because although he and Xavier are equals on the ground, Jeremy is mush more skilled in the air, and his aerial attacks send Xavier reeling. Just as Jeremy gets the advantage and starts setting up for the Jazz o'Mattic (Spinning DDT) the rest of the XDW roster heads down and around the ring. Jeremy pauses, nervous by the sudden arrival of Xavier's allies and Xavier quickly recovers and hits a Slingshot DDT, knocking Jeremy down for the three count. Leo appears onto the entrance ramp, holding Jeremy's contract. With a sadistic smile he tears it up and tosses it to the ground. As Jeremy heads away from the ring and out the gym doors, the XDW members try to get the crowd chanting "na na na na, na na na na, hey Goodbye" but the crowd won't listen. They're strangely quiet as they had been chanting for Jeremy Jazz to get out of the arena for so long that they didn't know how to react when it actually happened in front of their eyes.
Xavier Reckless defeated Jeremy Jazz in 6:47 by pinfall with a Slingshot DDT.

After the match, Leo comes back down with a big smile on his face.
Leo: "You know, firing people always brings a smile to my face. So how about we continue the trend, eh? Get rid of a bit more deadweight? Get rid of a few upstart young'uns who think they're better then everyone else. In fact, I think there's someone else who would stand from an attitude correction"
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/DavisWayneNewton.jpg
At that point Leo is interrupted as Davis Wayne Newton storms down the ramp and grabs a microphone, getting up into the ring and into Leo's face.
DWN: "Why don't you just stop right there old man. I know exactly who you're gonna say. You were gonna say that I need to be fired as well. Well, I'll let you know that I won't go quietly. Even if you fire me, I'll still come back and take you down with me. And there's nothing you can do to stop me."
Leo give an amused smile as he listens to DWN.
Leo: "Actually, there's a lot I can do to stop you. I can make it so the next person to cripple you gets a title shot. I can make it so that the only people who get to keep their jobs are the ones who will bloody that pretty little face of yours. Oh, I can do a lot to you."
DWN doesn't back down.
DWN: "Then go ahead, do it. Hide behind your cronies. Hide behind your position and authority, it's the only thing that will save you. You can't rely on that **** you call wrestling that you do. You can't stop me yourself, so go on, summon your goons and cronies. At least then I won't have to hear you shooting your mouth of day and night."
Leo: "I don't need anyone else to teach you a lesson. I'll beat you myself, right here on this very day. So go in back and start praying to your mommy right now, becuase you have about 15 minutes before I tan your hide in front of everyone here."
DWN stands and glares into Leo's face, Leo doesn't blink and glares right back. Eventually DWN turns around first and heads to the back, followed by a smiling Leo Davis.

Ginko Kuroda vs. Nurse Darla Knight
Ginko and Nurse Darla have very similar styles, focusing on mat work and submissions, however Ginko is a much superior technician and those skills pay off as the match quickly turns against Nurse Darla. Ginko is countering more moves and lays in more offensive strikes and holds, and when she finally locks in the Dragon's Claw, Nurse Darla has no choice but to tap out.
Ginko Kuroda defeated Nurse Darla Knight in 10:12 by submission with a Dragon's Claw.

Backstage, Harry is warming up for the main event, and Gabriel is walking backstage (followed by CCW's video camera displaying on the project in the gym. Harry pauses his warm up and without any prompting he grabs the mic from Gabriel and starts talking.
Harry: "Listen, I don't know how Bob Casey got this far, but everyone knows that it was a fluke. I'm going to be the next CCW Champion, it is finally my time to win and I will not be denied. I was cheated out of my title reign twice before, but not this time, there is nothing that's going to stand in my way. Bob Casey isn't even worth the time to insult and taunt, he's a disgrace and an idiot to face me tonight."
Harry throws the mic back at Gabriel and goes back to resume warming up. Gabriel just looks at the camera and shrugs.

Davis Wayne Newton vs. Leo Davis
The earlier argument has only fueled their hatred towards each other. As usual, Davis Wayne Newton wrestles circles around Leo, dazzling the audience with his tremendous display of talent. However, Leo is a vetern of over 20 years of wrestling, and has more then his fair share of tricks up his sleeve. He lures the headstrong DWN into several traps, feigning weakness to draw DWN in closer only to hit a headbutt or clothesline. The match eventually spills outside of the ring and Leo quickly takes the upper hand with a chair. The ref just shrugs and keeps counting the two. As DWN stumbles from the chair shot, Leo slips on his brass knuckles and taunts DWN a little before hitting him square in the jaw with a Brass Knuckle Sandwich, sneding DWN head over heels. Leo rolls DWN and barely makes it back into the ring before the 10-count. Leo hits one last elbow drop onto the prone DWN before pinning him for the win. Leo bends over and taunts DWN right in his face before heading backstage. A furious DWN pounds the mat in anger before getting up and heading backstage.
Leo Davis defeated Davis Wayne Newton in 6:07 by pinfall with a Brass Knuckle Sandwich.

Bob Casey w/ Chloe Dean vs. Harry Wilson w/ Kristen Pearce
Both men are veterans and experienced wrestlers, and the match starts off in a traditional style, both men starting with basic blows and transition moves, slowly building up to slams and throws. However, Harry suddenly explodes, and proceeds to wipe the floor with Casey, launching a series of aerial attacks that has Casey wheeling. Harry tries several cheap tactics, including using the ropes for leverage for a pin attempt, but Casey is able to just barely kick out. Harry finally sets Casey up for a Humility when the crowd buzzes as Xavier Reckless and the rest of the XDW crew storm down the entrance ramp. Extreme Deluxe and Fearless Blue distract the ref while Xavier, Super Sonic, and Daredevil Aero rush the ring and drag Harry outside. Fearless Blue continues distracting the ref while the XDW Alliance absolutely destroys Harry. Extreme Deluxe and Super Sonic wield chairs, and Xavier Reckless is using a steel chain to batter Harry. Xavier strangles Harry with the chain while the rest of XDW take their turns beating the rest of him with chairs. Bob Casey stands in the ring, shouting at XDW that he doesn't need any help, and he eventually goes down and chases the XDW alliance away, but the damage has already been done. Shrugging, Bob Casey rolls Harry and waits for Harry to get back up. Harry is out cold from his brutal beating, and Casey just shakes his head in disgust as he pins Harry for the win.
Bob Casey defeated Harry Wilson in 7:45 by pinfall. During the match we also had Xavier Reckless run in and attack Harry Wilson. Bob Casey wins the CCW Championship title.

April Review
Optimus Announces Retirement
The super junior legend himself has announced that he will be retiring from the wrestling world. He said that while he will continue working backstage or on a microphone, he will not be wrestling. A single story cannot capture how much Optimus has impacted the wrestling world, and the Hall of Immortals will not be complete with adding him into their illustrious number. Fans across the globe are saddened as one of the most influential wrestlers of the past two decades is leaving the ring.
Bruce the Giant Leaves USPW
In a surprising press conference, Burce said that his time with USPW has come to an end. He said that he has fulfilled his obligation towards Sam Strong and the others, and feels that it is time to once again wrestle with one of the larger promotions in the industry. He did not mention any specific promotions, and so far no one has mentioned starting contract negotiations with him.
MOSC Owner Hangs Up Boots
Greg mcPeterson, known better as The Highland Warrior announced that he would be leaving the ring for the younger wrestlers and that he would be focusing more on the backstage running of MOSC. MOSC has been in dire trouble since 21CW was bought out by Jeff Nova, struggling in last place behind 21CW and RoH. Many fans hope that with McPeterson able to focus entirely on MOSC as a company from behind the desk, that MOSC will be able to once again grow and expand to rival 21CW.
The Tennessee Outlaws Break up
Blackjack Robbins, one half of the tag team and 3 time SCCW Tag Team champion announced that he would be retiring. His career has been in a slump since SCCW closed down, Blackjack and partner Whisky Jack have both been stuck in the indies without any major promotion hiring them to a long time contract. Blackjack was also an early SCCW Champion.
Votes Are Tallied
Alicia Strong surprised everyone by coming out of nowhere once again and defeating Christian Faith for the Most Entertaining Wrestler title. While she was winning that, she was losing her Best Young Prospect to Magnum KOBE, a talented 23 year old WLW wrestler. Dan Stone Jr. also defeated Tommy Cornell for Best Overall, starting Dan Stone Jr's 10nth non-consecutive month with the title. Finally, the Best Color Commentator title once again flipped from Adrian Garcia to Ana Garcia. It should be noted that these two are not related, they just share a common last name.

To go along with their recent expansion, both Dragon Assassin and Umeko Hotta have been signed to pay-per-appearences.
Burning Hammer Of The Wrestling Gods
A lot of turnover for the Burning Openweight belt this month. First White Samurai defeated Kansuke Konda after Konda defended 10 times, starting White Samurai's first title reign. Then just next week Rhino Umaga defeated White Samurai and taking the belt. The while defending the title, Rhino picked up a serious injury and was forced to vacate the belt, leaving it open for next month.
More title changes with the Burning World Championship belt going to Yasunobu Masuno after he defeated Kinnojo Horri. Horri had made 12 successful defences of the World Championship belt at the time of his loss.
The Historical Japan belt also experienced turnover with, Raymond Diaz defeating Alexander Robinson, who made an inmpressive 14 defences of the belt.
Finally, three new wrestlers were added to the roster after being called up from the dojo. MYSTIC Dragon, Ninja Shunji and Seiji Jimbo were all called up from their spots on the Hinote Dojo roster.
Inspire Diversity Group International
This month saw the end of the INSPIRE tour
Marat Khoklov has rejected resigning with INSPIRE in a move that has shocked both fans and administrators of the promotion.
Pride Glory Honor Wrestling
Flemmy Lemming was called up and fired as PGHW felt that he was developing at the rate they had expected.
Masutaro Kataoka, however, was called up from Pro Wrestling SAISHO and has accepted a full-time position on the PGHW roster.
World Level Wrestling
The WLW tour kicks off with 5 title changes. First, Dark EAGLE started his second reign as World Level Universal champion by defeating Emerald Angel after Angel made 12 defences of the belt.
Koji Kojima defeated Toyokuni Harcore for the World Level Streetfighting belt, starting Kojima's first reign with the belt. Toyokuni managed to defend the belt 10 times before his loss to Kojima's barbed-wire pipe.
First Jcob Jett defeated Americana for the World Level Tap Out belt, but then quickly lost the belt to Tsurayuki Kamachi. American had defended the belt 10 times, while Jett only defended twice.
Finally, The Avalanche Effect began their 5th title reign as World Level Tag Team champions, defeating Power Trip on their 13th defence of the title.
Match of the Month
Remo and Rich Money shocked everyone with their performance on Supreme TV. What was supposed to be a filler match ended up being the highlight of the entire show. Afterwards, fans were still talking about the twists and turns of the match, and illegal copies of it on Youtube quickly reached record numbers of views before being pulled down by site administrators.
Worst Moment of the Month
The worst moment this month goes to INSPIRE with the Marat Khoklov incident. INSPIRE raised Khoklov from an unkown European wrestler known commonly as 'Mr. Blister' and thrust him into a global spotlight. Marat Khoklov enjoyed success after success with INSPIRE, but then after almost a year with the title, Khoklov lost the belt to Tadiyuki Kikkawa, one of the INSPIRE founders. This never sat well with Khoklov, who slowly started shrinking from the spotlight. However, in January it appeared that Khoklov was being prepared for another title run, with his only losses coming from facing Kikkawa for the title. However, Khoklov put a stop to those plans by announcing that he would be leaving for a promotion that "appreciates" their "talented workers." So far, Khoklov has not been signed to any major promotion.

Have we been taking inspiration from the booking skills of a certain Vince Russo ?
I thought I would never see the day, where someone put a title on Bob Casey, but I suppose it would have to be this place....everything was pointing towards a Wilson title win, then you actually went through with swerving us. Nothing like making a jobber fed, look more like a jobber fed by putting a belt on one of the Cornellverses biggest jobbers :D
Agent 69 & Nurse Darla Knight vs. Baby Blue & Carnival Queen Kendra
Could go either way but I'll go for the team with the debutant to get the win
Crash Lewis vs. Weird Waldo Odlaw
Could realistically go either way, there both about as jobberish as one another
Ginko Kuroda (c) vs. Nikki Power for Womens Championship
Can't see Kuroda losing the belt just yet.
Blue Chips vs. Hitmen, Inc.
The Blue Chips have more talent, but that barely matters in this place (sometimes the less talent you have, the more of a push you get). Hitmen Inc could do with getting a bit of lost momentum back on their side and I think Leo Davis will get involved, as he seems intent on keeping the real talent down. No wonder this fed is going to the toilet :D
Vin Tanner vs. Xavier Reckless - Russoriffic Schmozztastic No Contest overbooked draw with a trillion zillion run ins
Logic says Vin Tanner should win here, but all logic has gone out of the window with CCW. Bob Casey is the champion, there most talented performer DWN is being held down in a feud with a bitter career jobber....this one will end in a schmozz when everyone but their mother gets involved.

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/Random_Male63.jpg
It was the first day after the big championship tournament storyline had ended, and as expected I had a message waiting for me saying that one of our workers wanted to talk to me about recent developments. At CCW we liked to keep the results hidden, only telling the workers on a need to know basis so that there were as few sources of leaks as possible. Plus it meant that the workers were just as surprised by the turn of events as the fans were. This sometimes meant that after a particularly unexpected turn of events I would have to justify myself to them. So far it has already ended alright, but I was surprised to see that this time it was Vin Tanner who was curious about my decision. I made sure that my broom closet was extra tidy before Vin entered, at least to put on some semblance of professionalism.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/VinTanner.jpg
Vin flashed me a broad smile and gave me a hearty handshake when he entered, so at least he wasn't upset about last night's show.
Vin: "Hey Gabriel, hope the mornings going well for you."
Gabriel: "No, it's going just fine. I would ask why you're here but I believe I already know. Happens all the time. It's about last night's show, right?"
Vin nodded his head.
Vin: "Now I gotta ask you, why did you put the belt on Bob Casey? I knew you weren't going to put it on me, you already told me that in the beginning, but why Bob? He's not exactly champion material..."
I just shook my head.
Gabriel: "I disagree completely. In a lot of ways, Bob reminds me of Steve Flash. Sure he's not charismatic, sure he doesn't have the sports entertainment look that would get him far in SWF, but this isn't an SE fed, and we don't have SWF talent. In case you hadn't noticed, our talent is as raw as you can get. If it was meat it would still be on the cow and that cow would still be eating grass. Casey has been wrestling longer then a good portion of the roster has been alive, and he knows how to put on a good match. The rest of the main event, Xavier, Leo, Dermot, even Harry and you could stand to learn a thing or two about wrestling from him."
Vin gave a slight chuckle at that.
Vin: "If it's talent you're looking for, why not that Davis Newton kid. Kids half my age and is already wrestling circles around me."
Gabriel: "The problem with Davis Newton, and this does not leave this office, is that he is too good. You've seen the kind of talent in that kid...he's the whole package. A big promotion would gladly have someone of his caliber. It's only a matter of time before he leaves us for one of the big three, heck for all I know the kids going to ditch off to Japan, he could really fit in anywhere."
Vin nodded.
Vin: "I can understand that. But why not Harry Wilson? I mean, he's been with the promotion the longest, and he's been the main heel for over a year now."
Gabriel: "Yeah, but there's a lot of things holding back Harry. First and foremost is his attitude. Now again, this does not leave the office and I'm only telling you this because I have such high respect for you. Harry has a terrible attitude with the rest of the locker room, and I'm worried that if he had the belt, he would become insufferable and ruin this promotion. Maybe he'll refuse to drop the belt, maybe he'll just be even more irritating. Harry is going to get the title, but even after a year I don't think that he's ready for it. Second, I really don't like the guy, plain and simple. Can you blame me for that?"
Vin thought for a bit, but a smile slowly crept onto his face.
Vin: "You know, if you were holding back a decent guy, I'd be pissed as hell and probably quit on the spot. Eisen pulls **** like that, and that's why I worked for DaVE. But you know what, I can't say I blame you for not liking that jackass."
He laughed, and I chuckled along with him too.
Vin: "So I guess it comes around to me. Why not me? You said everything would be made clear to me, but it hasn't. You promised me the belt, why not me, why not now?"
Gabriel: "To be more accurate, I promised you a title within 9 months. It's only month 4, give it some time. Sure it would have been easy to just have you storm in and take the belt and dominate the promotion. But then what? What do we do with you? What do we do with the rest of the roster? We'd run into the exact same problem's FCW's having with Puerto Rican Power. Their champion is so high above the competition that every title match is the same. That's how it would be here. If you won it, then who could you possibly drop it to without a major build up. I like flexibility, I like unpredictability, I like to give the fans the impression that any belt could change at any time, or at least the main event. This way, you are a legit contender to the title, and in fact many fans are saying that you should have the belt, same with Harry. Now when you or Harry or Dermot O'Logical or any of the other main event contenders are wrestling for the belt, the fans won't know who will take it."
I finished my speech gasping for breath. When someone gets me talking about my vision, I can't help but get a bit passionate, and I could tell that I had even surprised Vin with my belief in my own logic. Whether the fans believed it, whether Vin believed it... I couldn't tell, but at least I saw a bit of respect in that man's eyes that day.

Crash Lewis vs. Weird Waldo Odlaw
Crash started out hard and heavy, overwhelming Waldo from the start with some brutal forearms and chops. Waldo is quickly put on the defensive as Crash keeps control. Just as Crash sets up for his signature finisher, the Flying Forearm, the lights go out. After a few moments the house lights come back on and Crash is alone in the ring. Waldo has vanished. The ref has no choice but to award Crash the victory by DQ.
Crash Lewis defeated Weird Waldo Odlaw in 6:54 by DQ.

The newly formed Blue Chips come down to the ring. Davis Wayne Newton and K-Squared grab microphones and start praising the crowd.
DWN: "Welcome fans one and all to CCW. Some of you may or may not know, but the tag tournament will be held in August, and currently it is just a three-way race between the Hitmen, Team Xtreme, and ourselves. Now, we all know what kind of wrestlers those other four guys are, so rest assured we will live up to our names."
K-Squared: "Now, some of you might be wondering... 'why are you calling yourselves the Blue Chips? Well, the answer is that just like blue chip stocks, you can count on us. No matter who we're against, we will put on one hell of a show, and no matter what we will succeed."
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/DustyBin_alt02.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/MurderousMikey_alt1.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/Kristen_Pearce_alt01.jpg
Just then the crow stops cheering for their favorites as Dusty Bin and Switchblade Mike, the two Hitmen interrupt their schpeal by coming down. Kristen Pearce is accompanying them and grabs a microphone and enters the ring to address the Blue Chips.
Kristen: "As much as I love to hear you two ramble on and on, a few important people have something they would like to address."
Kristen hands the mic over to Switchblade Mike.
Switchblade: "Yeah, you can boast and brag now, but after we eliminate you, after we smash your spine halfway through the mat, they'll be feeding you through a straw and the only thing you'll be able to say will have to be written out on a piece of paper."
Dusty stands behind Mike and nods his head in agreement, flexing to try and look intimidating. DWN and K-Squared don't back down, instead walking right up into the Hitmen's faces and the two teams start yelling back and forth. Finally DWN steps back and uses the mic.
DWN: "Alright, you two idiots think you have the talent to beat us. Fine, let's just give the audience a preview of the tag tournament. As long as you two will fight fair, we'll face you in the ring tonight."
Switchblade Mike and Dusty Bin quickly agree, looking smug and satisfied.

Ginko Kuroda vs. Nikki Power
Nikki Power hits the ring first and flexes to impress the crowd. Ginko is unintimidated however, and immediately starts the match by striking at Nikki's pressure points. By midway through the match, Nikki is struggling as one of her arms was disabled by a nerve strike from Ginko. Even Nikki is surprised by Ginko's new attack style and it isn't too much longer after that when Ginko clamps on the Dragon's Claw for the win.
Ginko Kuroda defeated Nikki Power in 13:18 by submission with a Dragon's Claw. Ginko Kuroda makes defence number 2 of her CCW Women's Championship title.

Blue Chips vs. Hitmen, Inc
This match starts before the two teams even reach the ring. The Blue Chips are on their way down the ramp when the Hitmen charge them from behind, and the brawling starts then and there. The Hitmen have a significant size advantage, throwing the smaller Blue Chips around and into the bleachers, into the ring stairs, into the crowd. But as soon as the combatants enter the ring (and the match officially starts) the Blue Chips take the advantage, using the turnbuckles to launch aerial assaults that leave the lumbering Hitmen reeling and off their feet. Things looked bad when Switchblade Mike caught DWN in midair, preparing him for the Switchblade Powerbomb, but K-Squared was able to break up the pin with a drop kick. A second drop kick sent Switchblade stmbling into the corner where he accidentally tags in Dusty Bin, who was still recovering from an earlier go with K-Squared. DWN quickly seizes the opportunity, hitting his finishing STF and getting the pin before Switchblade Mike could realize what was going on.
Blue Chips defeated Hitmen, Inc. in 8:24 when Davis Wayne Newton defeated Dusty Bin by submission with a STF.

Vin Tanner vs. Xavier Reckless
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/VinTanner.jpg vs. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk191/praguepride/XavierReckless.jpg
Vin is definitely the crowd favorite at this point, the crowd booing Xavier before he even had the chance to generate any heat. Vin started out strong, trying to put Xavier away before the inevitable XDW interferance occured, but Xavier was able to survive Vin's furious physical offense just long enough for his reinforcements to arrive. Super Sonic and Daredevil Aero rushed down to the sides of the ring to help Xavier out. Xavier was even able to surprise Vin and get him outside of the ring, where his two allies quickly went to town on Vin with chairs. When Xavier came out of the ring to help, Vin managed to grab a chair away from Daredevil Aero and started cleaning house, first sending Super Sonic fleeing to the back, then Daredevil Aero. Then Vin tossed the chair away and entered the ring, demanding that Xavier enter before he gets counted out. Xavier looks unsure of what to do next, as his plan for victory had just been literally and figuratively smashed to pieces.
Xavier tries to enter the ring to reset the count out clock and escape, but Vin lifts Xavier up from the apron and smashes him into the middle of the ring. Vin dominates the rest of the match, and it isn't long before Vin is signaling for the end, and after hitting a 'V for Victory' Xavier is down for the count.
Vin Tanner defeated Xavier Reckless in 7:47 by pinfall with a V For Victory.
