Since there isn't any mention of body ivnestigation in the write-ups (as far as I can find), then I don't see any reason at all for you to withhold this information.

The way I see it, there isn't any possible way for who your partner investigated to be used against your partner.

It can't hurt him. It can't reveal anything about him.

As far as I can tell, IER just wants to know in order to know whether or not to trust your information.

So what? It happens to us all, but we have to do what was best for the team even if we don't agree sometimes. Look on the bright side, had we followed you as hard as you pushed and Banger came up town, there is a good chance you'd be strung up before too long. So in a way, the Shape lynch helped you out.

Shape would have died sooner or later because so many of us didn't buy his claim. It's better that it happened now so that it can help in the hunt for Sylar than at a crucial point in the game.

We have to remember that the list might seem smaller than it needs to be. We are taking some people at their words with no proof. Banger could have and still could be a townie. We'll get the information we need out of this night phase hopefully, but there is a good chance that we may need to look outside of the 5 or so people being pushed.

You all had me worried there for a moment, my perfect no-lynch streak was in real jeapordy there. Glad to know I was never far from your thoughts while I've been away. :D I do apologize for all the angst caused, and were I in praguepride's shoes I would have probably gone down the same path to be honest.

OK, so defending myself time before I get jailed/night killed/whatever...

I'm not Sylar. I'd left what I thought were two pretty decent hints:

1) /goes to listen to classic Billy Joel music
2) comment about not being interested in brains, especially outside of their skulls

The third hint I could give, probably only Taker would get, as I'd say my character was probably hanging out with Vince (in the Carribean).

Yes, I'm that silver tongued adventurer, Captain Jack Sparrow. I did in fact say that this role was less cool that Hartigan, and I think that's true. My ability really only impacts me, where as Hartigan I could try (and in this case fail) to protect someone.

Up to you guys to figure out what to do next. I will try to log in at least once tomorrow -- the weekend was pretty much solidly booked.

Where as Slim could reveal more if it was deemed necessary due to the night phase results. So it might be better to have him around to do that.

Now, I'm not sure how likely this is. In fact, I doubt that this is the case, for the following reasons:

First, for this to be the case, in write-up 3, Sylar had to have been referred to by two different descriptors (I think the lockup was done by a mysterious man and the kill by an evil man)

Second it would, admittedly, seem very, very unbalanced if Sylar could complete two actions in a night.

Still, I wouldn't mind if someone else checked out ford tonight. I'll look at Slim Jim or Wallbanger as you guys requested, but if someone else out there could take a look at ford, I would think that that would be a good idea, just to be on the safe side.

This place was full of criminals, lowlives and degenerates, all of which were breaking the law without consequence. Well, he’d put every single one of them behind bars if he had his way! He walked quickly looking to find his target, but was pushed into a janitor’s closet before he could even get there.

INT. HOLLYWOOD HOTEL, JANITOR’S CLOSET – NIGHT ONE

The man was so caught off guard by this that he didn’t even have time to react, or know where he was. The man who pulled him into the closet smiled and threw him against the wall.

The officer was a strong physical specimen, and in great shape, but even he couldn’t fight back against someone who was 3 feet away. The man who pulled him in smiled evilly and raised his other hand.

“Well now, let’s see how this works.”

And with a scream, the top of d_w_w’s head was removed, and after a moment the screaming stopped. The evil man looked down at his victim and smiled.

I read that bit, I was just wondering if the plans were going to be changed to investigate or check him out instead of one of the others. I have a sneaky suspicion that if Sylar can continue to use abilities of the deceased and elect to not kill, he might be setting us up tonight.

INT. HOLLYWOOD HOTEL, BAR – NIGHT FIVE


After all of the talking from the day before, he knew someone was going to come after him, he just wasn’t sure who, or when they were going to strike. The man decided to pass some time at the bar waiting for the attack to come. There was another man in the bar at the time, a man who was way too laid back, so he didn’t think he was his attacker. So he walked in and sat down next to him.

ANXIOUS MAN
“You the one that’s going to kill me?”

LAID BACK MAN
“Me? Kill you?”

The anxious man nodded. The laid back man looked confused.

LAID BACK MAN
“No… Can’t say that I am…”

The anxious man smiled.

ANXIOUS MAN
“Good…”

He grabbed a drink and started to relax a bit. Before the glass reached his mouth, it shattered. The anxious man stood up and drew a gun, not seeing where it came from. The laid back man started to look a bit nervous.

LAID BACK MAN
“What the hell was that?”

Then from out of the shadows, a man in a mask emerged.

MASKED MAN
“I suggest you throw down your firearm…”

The anxious man smiled.

ANXIOUS MAN
“Yeah, sure…”

The anxious man took a shot that missed its target, and within seconds, the firearm had left his hands, some flying object knocking it away. The masked man drew two daggers and approached other man. The man knocked over a table blocking the way from the other man, he then ran and dove behind the bar. The masked man looked at the laid back man who threw his hands up and stepped away from it. The masked man slowly walked up to the bar, and then the anxious man emerged with a broken bottle, and held it to the masked man’s neck.

ANXIOUS MAN
“Back off… We stop this now, we can both walk away.”

MASKED MAN
“I’m afraid I can’t do that…”

The masked man swiped at the anxious man, and missed, and the anxious man drove the broken bottle into the chest of the masked man… With seemingly no effect.

ANXIOUS MAN
“I’m out of here, this isn’t a good place for a fight.”

The masked man examined his chest, and noticed scattered drops of blood. The anxious man started to walk away. The masked man reached up and threw a dagger, and grazed the arm of the anxious man, who looks up, sighs, and just walks out. The masked man shrugs, and decides he’s not worth the effort, he walks out. The laid back man is now visibly shaken, and decides to go to the bar and fix himself another drink. Suddenly a man runs into the bar and tackles him. He then punches him until he loses consciousness.

ATTACKER
“You stay right there…”

He runs out.



INT. HOLLYWOOD HOTEL, HALLWAY – NIGHT FIVE


He was walking down the hallway humming to himself and enjoying a nice alcoholic beverage, when suddenly, he was assailed, and his hands were behind his back.

ASSAILLANT
“Public intoxication, eh? You’re going to have to spend a night in the tank to think about this one!”

The man hauled him down into the basement, and threw him in the holding cell. The intoxicated man looked very confused, but at least he still had his drink. The hand reached into the cell and snatched it away, and the man looked very disappointed.



INT. HOLLYWOOD HOTEL, HOTEL ROOM – NIGHT FIVE


The last couple of days had been stressful, she had tried her best to bring those who had troubled those at the hotel, but her efforts seemed to be fruitless for the time being. She just needed a good night’s sleep, and hopefully the morning would bring a new light on things.

She falls asleep, and a few minutes later, a man nimbly creeps into the room. He poses for a moment, and then realizes the woman on the bed is unconscious.

HEROIC MAN
“Well, would you look at that? Another life to save!”

The man was ready, and poised over her body.

HEROIC MAN
“Don’t worry, I’ll save you!”

He was just about to place his hands over her chest, when suddenly, he was pulled out of the room.



INT. HOLLYWOOD HOTEL, HALLWAY – NIGHT FIVE


The man had no idea what was going on. One minute he was about to save a life, the next, he was on the ground in the hallway! He looked up, and tried to focus on the face of the man above him.

HEROIC MAN
“What’s going on?”

The man smiled an evil smile.

EVIL MAN
“Have you ever wondered what the end of your life will be like?”

The formerly heroic man suddenly looks very frightened.

FRIGHTENED MAN
“You’re the one… The one we’re looking for, aren’t you?”

The man smiled again.

EVIL MAN
“I guess you could say that… Though, you’re really going to wish I didn’t find you...”

The man smiled again as he sliced open the top of Glotot’s head. The poor guy screamed very loudly the whole time it happened. The evil man smiled for a bit, and walked off leaving the body in the hallway.

The crowd gathered again in the morning. They were glad there wasn’t much bloodshed, but they really weren’t sure what to make of the events of the night before.

Since Shape is going on holiday tomorrow, he'll probably be replaced and we'll have someone new to question about his role then. That might prove useful.

I really don't think Unleashed is Shape's kind of movie, and if he was fake claiming, he'd use something he has at least some knowledge of, rather than something that I just cannot imagine him watching. So for that reason, I'm inclined to believe him... well, at least enough to not lynch him ahead of someone that has given us nothing.

I've not voted during this phase since I hate to throw my vote around, as I prefer to confirm someone as the best choice for the lynch and then go for that person. In this instance, it does seem like Wallbanger is the best choice so...

From the write-up I highly doubt you were blocked or I was protected. In any case, I am surprised I am still alive. Last night was the perfect night for the mob or Sylar to get rid of me via a roleblock and/or doubling up with CK's attack.
