That's how I like to approach day 1 as well. I Effn Rule's and others philosophy has begun to rub off on me though.

Meaning, what's the use of said super uber awesome ability if the player isn't around to use it; or just as bad around yet not up to date enough in the game to use it properly?

That's more just general musing however, and not specific to this game.

I think that in these two posts, there really doesn't seem to be much pointing out that imarevenants post was scummy. Okay, yes he was Syndicate aligned in the end but there didn't seem much to go by this.

Why would you say exactly who it is? If you know a character then you should keep it to yourself unless it needs to be brought up, because for all we know, the Mafia may not have a clue who that was.

To me it sounded like some kind of mad scientist from an older television show or movie, probably an individual.

The first thing that sprang to mind was Dr. Frankenstein, but that might just be because i'm a fan of old gothic horror.

The Big Lebowski is a cult hit featuring a slacker guy called "The Dude".

The movie is really weird, but the dude is pretty clueless and laid back. Not a bad guy.

Good thing. The Dude just lives life. Drinking White Russians and bowling.

And just wants a new rug, because it tied the room together.

Again, why announce the character? You've both just told the Mafia that there's a laid back bum who's obviously harmless. :rolleyes:

The only thing I caught with Rev is that when I pointed out that I thought one of his posts was scummy UT666 defended him. I'm not saying he's mafia but we may want to examine that.

And as I pointed out at the time, what he said wasn't scummy. It was just the opposite point of view on the situation, which was perfectly valid.

Still, hardly a shock that there's a link being found between a dead player and Taker that makes him look a little scummy...

Not really, those who understand who my character is it makes perfect sense and it's kinda cool to see a mod enforce it as part of my role. As I said earlier I could have just stayed quiet and avoided suspicion but I wanted to play in the spirit of the character.

I don't think it's a swerve(think the operative word) but I was merely point out someone who made a play that I was reading up in mafiawiki, it may mean nothing at all. I'm pressuring Bigjosh because of his attack on me in the first phase during a period when I couldn't defend myself, I also haven't had a chance to question Lostrealms and he hasn't done anything suspcious while other people have pointed out bigjosh's strange behavior.

Return To Oz was awesome. Dark Crystal, I sadly haven't seen, and it's sitting in the Netflix queue somewhere.

Kids movies of my era (born in 82) where so much darker than the ones created today. For all the complaining about violence in movies these days there was some pretty twisted stuff in even the Goonies and Neverending Story.

I know what you're driving at, but I don't see that being the case here... If BIGJOSH is red scum, and they try to play games right after losing a teammate, they don't deserve to win.

I don't know why treton would try to steal my role...once a night I can cause someone to freeze by giving them my Magnum look.

BigJosh here says that he can use his role once a night to simply "freeze" someone.

I do have an ability but I haven't used it yet because it could be detrimental if I use it without knowing more about the game.

So, how could simply roleblocking someone by freezing them be detrimental to either side? With so many roles, he would have to accidentally target the one town vig or the doctor who's protecting a person who's gonna be hit to do any damage to the town. While, you're much more likely, from the numbers listed above, to strike at scum. 8/9 outta 35 is a decent ratio to hit scum, better than 2/35 at hitting our town vig/town doctor, and even then, it doesn't end them for good, it only stops their current night action no?

The crowd gathers after a night of horrible bloodshed hoping they could make sense of it all. Some fingers are pointed, and the crowd starts trying to place the blame for the events that had transpired thus far.

One man stepped forward.

“Well, I think you’re pretty scummy for saying that!”

The crowd turned and looked at him.

“Are you serious?”

“Uh, yeah, he looks pretty scummy to me!”

The crowd gathered around this one man, closing in, and making him know that they thought something wasn’t right about him.

“Who are you, anyway?”

“Well, to be honest, I’m ridiculously good looking!”

The crowd nodded, and started to let up.

“Wait a minute, are you Derek Zoolander?”

“Yeah, I sure am!”

“That’s impossible! I’m Derek Zoolander, and it’s not just ridiculously, it’s really, really ridiculously good looking!”

The crowd once again closed around their original target. The man threw up his hands once more.

“Wait, just a minute, please.”

The crowd paused as they watched his every move. He slowly reaches into his coat pocket, and pulls out a container. He then opens the container, and pulls out a large pill. He drops the pill in his mouth, and allows it to snap with a sickening sound.

“Ok, let’s get this over with…”

The crowd moved around the man, and placed the noose around his neck.

“I love these calm little moments before the storm… It reminds me of Beethoven...”

And with that, the lever was pulled, and with an even more sickening snap, the neck of BIGJOSH was snapped.
