View Full Version : A few suggestions

1. When there's a training injury to anyone on a scheduled card for an AI controlled company, the AI cancels the entire event. That would make sense if it was the main event (or even the co-ME) and there was no suitable replacement, but when it's an undercard or prelim, then I'd like to see the AI put in a replacement fight or just scratch the one match and let the rest of the card proceed as scheduled.
2. On the options screen where you can select which AI matches to watch, I'd like to be able to watch all major matches as well as all matches featuring a fighter on my shortlist. I'd like to see the pulldown switched to tick boxes so you can select multiple options.
3. I'd like to receive an e-mail when someone on my shortlist is offered a contract. Right now I'm only notified if they sign a contract or they enter the negotiating period on an existing contract.
4. I've seen a couple of cases where a guy who is scheduled to retire after his next fight is given a title shot. If he then wins, the AI is forced to vacate the title. I think it would be better if the AI would not offer a title shot to a fighter planning to retire.
5. In the fight engine, I've noticed the guy on the bottom in side control often tries to isolate an arm or go for an arm-in guillotine. This is somewhat unrealistic -- it's nearly impossible to submit an opponent when you are in bottom side control. Granted, I've never seen someone succeed in the game, but I think it is attempted too often.
Love the game and I really appreciate how involved you are on the boards giving support, listening to suggestions, etc. KUTGW.

This shouldn't be the case - an event is only cancelled if the fighter cannot be replaced and the removal of the fight would put the event below the minimum number of required bouts. I've never seen an injury cause an event cancellation in the manner in which you are describing.

I'll look into it, but again, this shouldn't happen and has never happened in any of my tests. The only way a retiring fighter should be able to get a title shot is if it's in a very low-level promotion or if he was literally the only challenger left available.

Regarding #1, I've seen a few events cancelled when the elimination of one bout wouldn't have put the event below 4 fights. Unfortunately, there's no way to go back and see this. I'll keep an eye open if it happens again and save the game at that point if it does.
Regarding #4, I've seen this twice in my game. Gunnar Nilsson won the SIGMA HW title and immediately retired. Although it's not quite the same thing, Harry Milne won the BCF HW title and retired 3 weeks later.
Since the Nilsson fight only happened a few months ago in my game, I looked at SIGMA. On the same card that Nilsson (#6 HW) fought Cabal (#13 HW & the Champ) for the title, Lefter Oktay also fought, and at the time he was on a winning streak and the #9 ranked HW. It's possible Oktay wasn't popular enough to justify a title shot, but I suspect he vs. Cabal would have been a good ME.
Don't know if any of this helps, but just thought I would share the details. By the way, I'm using the latest patch.

For reference I've seen #1 numerous times - I would go as far as to say that I haven't noticed a time when a booked fighter being injured has not caused the entire card to be cancelled.
(NB - it might just be that because there is always two stories on these occasions that I simply haven't ntoiced the times when an injury has led to a replacement fighter or the fight just being cancelled - however I would say in my three year game, an entire AI card has been cancelled 3-4 times through one injury)

Trying the move doesn't necessarily mean they're getting it or locking it in though. The PbP is fairly ambiguous, it could refer to the fighter trying to set the move up or grab a limb/neck before failing/thinking better of it.

If you download the latest patch, it fixes the two issues mentioned.
