Like I said before which you happened to quietly overlook, I was letting my personal friendship for Toby out way the fact that he may be a mafia don or indie aligned person. I was hoping for his sake and mine that we were both out for the same thing which is the success of the town. This may not be the case and if he is mafia and he is the most logical choice then I say let him hang. But I would like to point the finger at the small group of people who went crazy and pushed the vote in the beginning if Toby comes back as a town after being hung by the easily manipulative group that pushed this in the beginning…..

Quite small and simple as it was the first any of us had played, and I got steve austin, bulletproof as long as the rock was alive to save me...and spent the whole game having claimed day 2 desperately defending myself while trying to lead the town. And having made a major rookie mistake on the last game in Day 1, I want to think that maybe Tobias is simply in the same boat that I was... of course I managed to convince people (while talking in Ewokese) that I was just a newbie and the whole thing was a big misunderstanding.

Meanwhile, TP tells us that in 16 hours he can defend himself. There could be a reasonable explanation, but in that case he should've given it before he left. Now if he's lying then he's had 16 hours to come up with a good reason to be absent for that long. I'm starting to think we may have lucked into catching scum Day 1 from his newbie mistake, but I'll go ahead and hold back right now and give him his time to defend himself.

As for people in this game... I'll be highly upset if The Ventriloquist isn't in, as he could have a VERY interesting role. As one of the 5 remaining people not with Thanos that continued to post that late in the game, at that point you were more valuable than most of our townies. Needless to say, the Serial Killer is probably the ideal day 1 lynch (removes a kill for the whole game) so I really wouldn't be admitting it until the town screws themselves and comes crawling on their knees to you to help bail them out. :rolleyes:

Agreed.... even just (heavily) modifying the CVerse is taking a serious amount of time. But alas, my MirrorVerse is still coming along nicely. Most of America is up and running, and I've started some work on the massive project that is Europe.

The real pain has been balancing APWF, which definetly has a feel of a grown up USPW... There shows can tank if they choose to book Giant Redwood in the Main Event, which thankfully isn't too often anymore.

As long as you've been playing, YOU should know that leaning on a defense like "you know me well enough to know" is a good way to fall into a trap. People can change tactics at any time if it suits them. I'll grant you, I WANT to accept that. But accepting what you want to believe at face value is another deadly trap in this game. Besides, to use your own line of reasoning, you should also know me well enough to know I'd rather cast a seemingly "blanket and pillow" vote like this in the name of caution than let someone catch me napping. I have learned the lessons of Barebones well. Tread lightly and by all means know your site mechanics.

I just suggested the option. I was the first to mention the autofill from the PM being the culprit to start with. Which is just me guessing, but it seems possible. A typo+ autofill is also possible, thus my suggesting it.

it doesn't take much to get someone lynched day one. Unless he has some incredible story to tell, TP is dead. Even then, it will take more than TP to put their neck on the line for him.

Like RnB mafia, if a scum group does that, they may survive an extra day, but they'll pay the price for it later.

The reason I post this is because after reading and re-reading what it says (Didn't make sense to either of us at all... Me or Crychon), I believe that this PM was made on purpose, and the person that recieved it was actually supposed to.

We can't trust Blode based entirely on what's happened. I was asking him about the time he received the pm to compare with the last time TobiasParker was on the forum, to see if the times matched up rather than blindly trusting what he said. (ie. if Blode had said he received the pm an hour or so ago then it would've been obvious he was lying)

Echoing what others have said, this could be a very interesting diversion/coloring someone innocence play.

On the other flip side

I wonder if TP sent the pm during the time I was asking for a response and he just sat there in the forum saying nothing as he waited for a response to the pm.

If we can't end this phase with a lynch on TP then this game is never going to end. If we can't get 25 people to vote on a "almost sure thing" then there is no chance for a lynch at all this game.

I don't understand what the rush is. When we are at a point like this and people suddenly want to end the phase it makes me wonder if they are just trying to make sure there aren't any other flubs this phase. I don't see the harm in trying to get as much information by the end of the phase as possible.

Information is good, but the problem I see with too much information on the first day is that it can only help the Mafia to choose who to target during the night phase. Myself, Rev and ShadowedFlames were laughing our arses off in Heroes Mafia (and had we not been so unlucky we might've lasted longer) because there was so much information revealed during the first phase. Afterall, on the first day the odds are that we're going to be revealing townie information rather than anything scummy.
