Honestly, a minor character that was once a love interest of Barbara Gordon.

Unfortunately, this seems like a good character to use as an investigator, so we may have just handicapped ourselves a bit.

New or not, Blode was very insistent that what TobiasParker had said made him seem very scummy. Now that we know TobiasParker wasn't scum it doesn't make sense that he's going to be saying scummy things to people via pm. It stands half a chance that TobiasParker could talk to someone and was discussing who he should potentially investigate, if Blode's part of a scummy group then they'd want an investigator out of the way ASAP.

If you're going by Anti's post, take note that he added the last two voters names to the list but didn't change the number from DJ's last vote count, which was before the final two votes were cast.

That's why I prefer when mods give an official vote count at the lynch announcement or the write up. The lynch could have ended two votes early for all I know, and we wouldn't be able to tell that the last two votes didn't count. For now, I'm assuming that it worked out properly, as the alternative would be quite the coincidence. But I can't be certain at this point that it's not a mistake.

I don't understand what the rush is. When we are at a point like this and people suddenly want to end the phase it makes me wonder if they are just trying to make sure there aren't any other flubs this phase. I don't see the harm in trying to get as much information by the end of the phase as possible.

People are so gung ho for random bandwagons for information, but don't want to look deeper into possible leads when we have them.

Positive action beats neutral action, I guess.

DJ suggested the PM was MEANT for blode. So I'm not thinking mason. The fact that one guy alone stood up for him dismisses that as well.

All in all I don't really like what happened here, the day ended like half way through and for no real reason, I am reading with hindsight but still DJ's words pretty much confirmed him as town in my eyes.

HOWEVER if I'd been around then the suggestion of blode as a usurper would have been too much not to go through with it for, as he did something like this to the don above him in a different game, and the don had a huge hissy fit etc etc.

Understandable, but when no one responded to what I said, I assumed it was a lost cause and moved on. I attributed it to being new here, so I have to wait for people to listen, I had the same problem in Mortal Kombat and VG on 2ksite, so I didn't want to sit around with my hand in my pockets hoping someone would listen. When the nightphase is over, we'll have more to discuss and I can input more. But, if in the meantime, if you want to discuss if there are non-Batman characters in the game, I'd love to.

Totally. I just got back in contact with a girl who used to be my best friend years ago, so I spent this morning before work writing out a huge message to her instead of catching up with Mafia like I normally do. I come back after work, and he's DEAD! Now like my sister blackphoenix, I was all for this lynch, but I wanted some more information out of him and if not we throw the rope around his neck.

However those final votes came in waaay too fast for my liking, probably because everyone was waiting for 11:00 I guess, but having been scum in the last game I can definitely understand "Hey he's not in my scum faction, let's kill the fudger quickly!! The players laugh. They think it's all a joke... some random amusement for them to pass the time. They don't realize that this game... dark, corrupt, infested... is my game. I know all its wrinkles and cracks in a far more intimate manner than they coudl ever presume to know. The game uses me; I know this. I let it. And in exchange, I learn. I lay here, and I get ridden like a cheap mechanical bull by the game of games, everyone else wanting to play... but it always comes back to me. It's protector. It's defender. It's dark knight. Because I know this game, all too well... and I'm the only one who can play it through to the end. I hate this game... and I love this game... and I cannot leave until the game is over.

And came up with this idea that whomever I used avatar-wise, would come in, when the company started building momentum, and began changing the system around. It'd be Eastern Championship Wrestling, circa 1991. Just before Heyman really grabbed the reins, and Shane Douglas did that classic belt throwing promo.

Actually yeah Actarus. With all the talk of The Wrestler movie coming out, and seeing how Ric Flair's retirement run went.

I think I could focus on a waning star of one of the major promotions, or a former big name, wanting to get one final run in the spotlight.

A lot going on in that Night Phase, the only bit that really clicked in my head was that Tweedledum and Tweedledee coversation Anti pointed out, but then it said picked a target and one seemed annoyed at being copied, so perhaps the Mad Hatter is recruiting? I don't know. In the comics I'm sure T&T were more Joker henchmen despite the obvious Alice In Wonderland connection to Hatter.

Alright, so 3 kill attempts last night, it seems from the write-up that mjdgoldeneye might have been the person sent on the failed kill attempt, as that's the only place I could really see incapacitation taking place in the writeup.

However, I'm not a fan of hanging the incapacitated without letting them defend themselves, so on to today's first bandwagonee:

Either there's alternating kills, or we have a cult. Or maybe like what we've seen recently in these games, a cult like group that builds itself up and can have quasi mafia powers over the course of the game.

(Storyline wise, the recent escapees could merge into a group of their own over time).

Possible, though it kind of reminds me of The Marvel game where I insisted to Rev that Captain America's vote didn't count towards a lynch, because Captain America doesn't kill people.

If Green Arrow is the Ollie Queen version, best I can recall, he wasn't paranoid, didn't own a gun, and wouldn't kill people anyway. He's a hippy. Making him a PGO would be breaking the character to fit the role.

Same thing with Batman.. he may be an investigator, bodyguard, and/or bulletproof, but he won't be a Vig, because (the modern version of) Batman will not kill people.

Maybe you've figured out a way to discuss things on a message board in your sleep, but personally? I haven't typed while sleeping since I was in college, mate.
